So why does he get to speak with like... 3 people the entire show? Weiss and him having dialogue is obvious and necessary, and Ironwood makes sense as a means to establish political going ons within Atlas, but the most he gets with anyone else is the faceless partygoers in V4 and the meeting in V7

ok so i have never thought about bellalily and i think i have a hard time seeing it ?? both in canon and in modern aus for some reason ?? i mean i guess in canon because bella is so much older (i hc her as being 8+ older than the marauders) and she’d already be a death eater. im not personally a fan of fully fledged deathers/muggle borns and especially not when bella would be so much older already and the clear power imbalance in their dynamic etc etc etc. i love my lily messy and self destructive and morally fucked up but im not comfortable with making her sleep with, even in secret, someone who has the dark mark and thinks her ’kind’ should die . to each their own and its all fictional and not that deep i guess but thats just me:/

BELLADORA HOWEVER!!!!!! YES!!!! i used to be insane about them and i think there are posts somewhere on my blog under the /belladora tag. to be they’re friends with benefits. they meet at regulus’ bday party and he invites his estranged cousin he hasnt seen for years because she finally left her family. shes full of repressed anger, doesn’t know how to act around people, nearly bites everyones heads off, scary and looks like she hasn’t slept in 2 years. in my mind she also looks older than she actually is. i picture her being 9 or 10 years older than regulus and his friends. anyway. panda takes one look at this socially inept murderuos woman and she’s immediately gone for her. she wants to be her friend. wants to study bella under a microscope. wants to keep her in a lab. she’s not scared off by her foul tongue in the least. pandora is younger, but still more experienced because shes a casual serial dater in my mind. bellas only experience is the man she was forced to be engaged to and they hadn’t even kissed. they’re both bad with social cues, neither of them knows where the line between friendship and ’something more’ lies, pandora is just being a good friend. showing bella the pleasures she hasn’t experienced. they grow codependant fast. regulus hates it. bella hangs off of pandora as if there’s a leash around her neck. pandora just wants to be around bella all the time. neither one of them knows what personal space means. they don’t consider it might be inappropriate sometimes how close they are. when pandora sits on bellas lap even tho there are 3 free seats available. neither of them thinks twice when pandora wants to try out a new spell or potion that will allow them to read each others minds. bella would be conjoined to pandora if she could. she hates evan simply for being pandoras twin. pandora asks bella to move in after theyve slept together twice
nardora i cant really see either ?? to me they’re from two entirely different planets and want completely different things. narcissa, to me, is a bit like petunia i think ?? she wants normal. she wants to be under the radar. she wants someone goal oriented and direct. someone wild, but not wild. someone who wont beat around the bush, someone who’s grounded. christ why am i lowkey starting to ship petunia/narcissa while writing this . omg…………… @sugarsnappeases

speaking of messages and how it reflects guys' morals, i wanna tell you something else really frustrating about my ex. so you know how i said that he was really bad at replying to messages, didn't care about my social media and stuff?
side note just to explain why him being on social media was so important to me: i have a food reviews account and it's a hobby of mine, it's v silly and i used to make little videos of me trying different foods. it was a whole thing and i always got a lot of comments from my friends about it. but my ex never cared! and i get it, not everyone has instagram. but i was really passionate about this food blog and put a lot of effort into the silly little videos i used to make. and id often be like "did you see my new video?" and he would sigh and roll his eyes. and then sometimes id show him my videos and he would be so annoyed. he literally had no respect! and yeah, it was all very silly and stupid, i never claimed that this food reviews blog was like deep and artistic or whatever. but it was important to me!!! he could've at least pretended that he cares, you know what i mean?
another side note: i grew up on social media so im very used to chatting to my friends all the time and posting instagram stories as i go along my day and stuff. and a part of social media culture is sending memes and funny/cute photos to people to show affection, right? like we always send things to each other like "haha this made me think of you". again, it's stupid, but it's a thing people do. and i would sometimes send him cute photos of kittens or bunnies or whatever like "hey, this is us <3" and again, he didn't care. and he never made an effort to maybe think like "huh, this is important to her, this is how she shows affection, maybe i should be a little more considerate instead of dismissing her stupid cat pictures". like it's the bare minimum!
anyway, whatever.
so back to what i wanted to say. when i left him, he suddenly started being active on social media and he would reply to my messages instantly. all of a sudden he started sending me cute photos of animals and even photos of foods to try like "hey, this would be neat for your food reviews blog". like he immediately did a 180!!! turns out showing basic human decency and basic respect towards my hobbies and communication style wasn't that hard after all, huh?
so naive little me was like "ohh maybe we could get back together". so i invite him to the cinema to test the waters, yknow. and after the movie we had a talk. and he was like "yeah, look at how much effort i put into trying to get you back these past couple of weeks". and that's when it hit me. showing interest in my hobbies is an "effort"? enjoying talking to me is an "effort"? and the way he showed that "effort" was by simply liking my instagram posts and replying to my messages in less than 24 hours. the tremendous "effort" he was talking about would take him 2 seconds of his time. and that was already more than enough and too much for him???
so yeah, the amount of effort a guy is willing to put into communicating with you really says a lot. replying to your text is too hard? double-tapping a meme you sent him is too hard? sitting through a minute long video of you is too hard? well fuck that! as you said, kindness is free. respect is free. caring for your significant other and making an effort is free! and if that's too hard? well fuck that!

🌋 VOLCANO - how bad is their temper? is it a slow boil, or a instant explosion?
kado doesnt care to hide his feelings so if he was really angry it would be an instant explosion but he is slower to anger than youd expect i think. surprisingly! maybe he doesnt look the type but he is. petty and random insignificant things can annoy him but he'll mostly deal with them with laughing at them, ridiculing them, etc instead of going in swinging....he loves to complain and be annoying and telling people straight up when he doesnt like them but i think its harder to make him like actually really mad (hes pretty much completely the opposite of kite in this way, who suppresses her anger until shes about to either faint from stress or actually kill someone)

oh for sure he keeps up a persona of not giving a fack a lot of the time and doesnt consider the feelings of strangers because he doesnt plan on ever seeing them again. hes an asshole LOL but i think hes actually most vulnerable when hes with his mommy. sadly hes probably the most closed off with zell, his brother (at least for now). hes in similar situations where zell and kite, since theyve known him since he was a kid he doesnt want to see them anymore. kado didnt go to school and sometimes when they were kids kite would try and teach him some things but he would always get frustrated and embarrassed and kite wasnt a very good teacher (shes good at doing the work but not explaining it in words)

i know i draw her going beast mode a lot cuz i always draw her in proximity to kado who activates her rage sleeper agent but shes actually usually pretty stoic and cold..so people would assume shes realyl stern and scary and like cold and emotionless but it is NOT true!!! shes actually very sensitive she just has a lot of trouble expressing herself and shes very very lonely. her only friend growing up was kado and with both him and her parents leaving her she doesnt have anyone to lean on ... becuse she was homeschooled and only had one really weird friend her social development is fucked and she has no guidance on how to go about being an adult so she subconsciously tries to emulate what she remembers of her parents and teachers who were strict (and emotionally distant so not the best role models but w/e) but you know. inside shes very lonely and insecure and doesnt have anyone to talk to. until haze comes allong everyone say thank you haze

after a while you learn to stop looking forward to your mid-winter birthday. everyones busy for fucking christmas because its apparwntly been christmas for the last two months and a half. thatd be okay. theyve got plans already or something. we cqn do something else. but you're already feeling bad.it's bad enough that literqlly two of your twenty-ish friends show up . 95% of them don't even message you. if you werw doing even slightly worse than you were now you'd recede back into a state of depression. youd go apeshit and assume that your friends hate your guts . youd cut yourself off from the outside world if you could but you CANT you have a future to plan for. so you get back to it and eventually you forget it even happenwd and thinking about it again really is pointless becausw you know ot just makes you feel bad but every now and then you entertain the thought that everyone born in the late winter hates their birthday. or maybe its because of you being jewish amd never caring about christmas or maybe because you dont really know how to socialize or you're overestimating the number of friends you have. or maybe its your personality. maybe they dont like you maybe you come on too strong or. you hide parts of yourself when theyre just learning about you and THATS the part theg like. and then they learn more about you and you open up and get weird and then they get sick and tired of you. maybe you should recede into your middle school persona where you were quiet and well-behaved and normal and ""shy"" and only celebrate your birthday at home where nobody else can acknowledge that it happened. maybe youve known them 6 years but you dont know any of their favorite colors or anything. maybe its nobodies fault and youre overreacting but SURELY they would message you. they wouldnt forget your birthday. you wouldnt walk up to one of your closest friends and go "whats my birthday" and theyd blank and then you ask them "whats rachels birthday" ans they answer perfectly in a second and a half and you and rachel share a birthday. you wouldnt be just a little bit pissed that this same friend had 18 people over, including you, for their late-winter birthday. you wouldnt have a friend who was available on the day cancel last-minute because they were afraid theyd get kidnapped. even though nonobody kidnaps groups of people and by canceling you aare making us more likely to get kidnapped. and last-minute was 8 minutes before midnight and the first message that was sent to you on the date of your birthday was "i'm sorry but i just won't go" and also this is your closest friend who is in your school that also misgendered you and then called you weak just a few minutes earlier. and rhat friend has a late-summer birthday rhat 5 people showed up to and messaged her about. the whole idea of a birthday has never sat right with you. why do you deserve a celebration for living. you live every day and nobody carws. if you walk around and it's your birthday and you'reacting proud and walking tall nobody assumes its your birthday they just assume you're an asshole. you wonder wbat would be different if you were born in the spring. when everyones forced to be at school so you know that's where they are and they cant make up excuses to get out of it. it's not your fault. it's theirs. selfish assholes. they don't care about you. they never did. they can't bother to send you a two-word message. or maybe they didn't send it on purpose because you're an awful person. it's not their fault. it's yours. stop antagonizing them and victimizing yourseld you fucking baby. is this really all about your birthday? nobody fucking cares. youre overreacting. you'll hsve 80 more. calm down. if you say you never saw the point of them, why are you making such a big deal? is it because you're a terrible person? or becausw you only said you didn't care about birthdays to make up for the fact that you're sore that nobody cared about yours? should this post have stayed in drafts? definitely. do we need to have a talk about oversharing on the internwt? attention seeker

ultimately what you would call a very First World Problem but it really irks me that npd is the hot scapegoat of the hour to the point you literally cant say shit good or bad without feeling like its gonna get implicated in the global panopticon of people weaving these worldwide basal magic empath vs demonic possession narcissist put on this earth to suck energy etc etc etc stories because i have things i WOULD like to say otherwize. which is probably like, im only thinking about these things bcause the topic is already constantly coming up so maybe i wouldnt actually be thinking about saying these things otherwise anyway. have you guys ever noticed what browsing youtube logged out in an incognito window looks like. if you watch certain types of videos that clearly mostly get a young audience its all the stupid like I GOT MY DOG TO CUT 3000 POUNDS OF SLIME WITH A RED HOT KNIFE (POPPYS PLAYTIME ASMR) type videos but when you watch anything other than that its incredibly sinister. like, especially things that i get the impression mostly very old ladies watch. sewing videos. product blurbs that for some reason the company always uploads to youtube and theyve got 5 subscribers and 260 views. you start scrolling down the recommendation feed and its literally all like PREACHER SLAMS IGNORANT NONBELIEVER-- HE HAS NO RESPONSE TO THE REAL WORD OF GOD! and an unflattering picture of a jewish guy or a muslim guy. FIVE TEXTBOOK SIGNS OF NARC ABUSE- HOW TO SHUT THEM DOWN AND REMOVE THEIR POWER! i want to edit the monster high wiki so bad rn. i dont know how to suggest an edit on it, but i want to change frankies pronouns so bad. someone on twitter, when i mentioned this, said "well their pronouns are only they/them in g3. the others are she/her until writers say so" to which i say fuck you? lol. if they were changed on the site to they/them, it would be relevant to the current iteration as well as the past since
A. in my opinion it feels like MH canon is similar to that of Doctor Who rather than something like MLP, in that the doctor's look changes every so often but theyre the same person, but in MLP they make literally brand new ponies lol. like some share the same name but its not even trying really, anymore at least, to change who those ponies were. theyve got entirely different personalities and backstories, which straight up is NOT how MH is lol all of the characters have the same at least Basic lore even if theyve retconned things from the books or the movies or if some of the dolls arent canon, theyre still the same characters through and through.
B. they/them are flat out neutral pronouns. even if g1/g2 frankies were Strictly she/her, there are two of them are they not? in that case, if every MH gen character change is a new person, and they all Share a single wiki page, there are multiple of them.
C. Frankie is LITERALLY made out of multiple different people.
but also when i looked at this persons account and tweets and stuff there was a good chunk of them agreeing w someone who was saying "FRANKIE DOESNT KNOW WHAT A HIGH FIVE IS BUT KNOWS WHAT A *PRONOUN* IS ?!?!" which is such bullshit lol. based on that logic you can conclude one more of these 3 things. (of which the first is Literally canon in a couple of different ways)
1. Frankie can fucking speak fluent English. as soon as 15 days old. In the books, it's said that that's due to their dad uploading new information into their brain daily, I'm sure a basic fucking building block of the English language is included in that. And according to the first person i mentioned, frankie's brain is made up of pieces from multiple different great deceased scientists that fucking know grammar which brings me to point 2
2. as a lot of other people on that tweet were also saying, a lot of those scientists werent alive while the high five was invented (the 70s). thats also not necessary info their dad would upload to their brain for them to be able to integrate smoothly into high school.
3. Frankie hasn't learned a lot of social cues yet in their little time not just being alive but actually Being in society. high fives for young children are common knowledge because of what also? media bro. fucking tv, and i dont think a typical part of frankie's education is from television dude.
4. similar to the last point, maybe if frankie DOES have a part of the brain of someone from the late 70s and on, they just dont understand social cues and they have AUTISM. think about that. stew on that, chew on that. frankie has autism and they Know of high fives but when they see someone idk HITTING someone else they dont know what to think of it. its weird to them and they dont understand and thats not what they thought a high five actually was.
anyways thats my justification for retroactive they/them on Frankie, and that's all even disregarding the fact that if they're the same person theyve always been, as i alluded to in point A, if theyre Now in the canon coming out/changing their pronouns, they should retroactively be referred to by those pronouns. [good people] dont deadname and misgender trans people just because theyre talking about them at a point before their coming out. i dont talk about You in the past tense and refer to your current self as being a baby lmfao.

Three’s a Crowd - Reader/Ben Solo/Poe Damerson (Modern AU)
alright so Ben/Kylo is a big ego kid in this, because of course. Also, Rey is ACTUALLY Lukes daughter in this, making them cousins. Ive fiddled with the plot okay sue me.
Summary: Poe, Finn and their roommate have been living in a harmonious tenancy, but when Finn decides to move out for a year of travelling, the two are left with no option but to look elsewhere for their third body. Rey Skywalker, a friend of the group, proposes her cousin for the role. He's in a band, wears all black and all in all is somewhat of a social reject - but he's also all theyve got.
“I think that one was actually somehow worse than last weeks” You tell Poe, as he pours himself a juice and settles down next to you on the sofa. You'd just finished showing around another possible roommate and you felt exhausted in every sense of the word.
“How can he be worse than the neo nazi?” Poe shot you an unbelieving look and rolled his eyes, kicking his feet up onto the coffee table and knocking some of your papers in his wake.
“Alex was a she, and they asked if they could hang their deer head in the front room” you grimaced even thinking about it, weren't all artsy college students supposed to be vegetarians anyway? why did you have to get saddled with the only blood thirsty one on campus.
“Thats not so bad”
“Poe she showed me a picture of her taxidermied cat”
“Oh”
You had tried to find a polite way to stop her from passing you her phone, but you were too nice to make her feel uncomfortable, and now the image of the long dead tabby would remain behind your eyes for god knows how long.
“was she hot?” You shook your head, causing Poe to sigh wistfully.
“Not hot enough to cancel out her obsession with dead bodies anyway” you informed him, the hopeful look from his eyes gone.
“Face it Poe, were doomed” You let your head fall into your hands, Poe letting out a laugh before wrapping his arm around your shoulder.
“Hey we’ll get someone! who wouldn't want to live here?” You knew his question was rhetorical but when looking around the cleaner than usual flat, you had to admit it was missing something. Bare spaces on the walls from where Finn had taken down his pictures, the empty side of the kitchen counter that had once houses his overpriced coffees. You even missed picking up his empty cups after him, the room feeling like it had less character without them. It truly hadn't felt the same in the flat since Finn had left, and although Poe concealed it well, you could see it was getting to him too. Poe had, after all, known Finn first; Finn managing to get a very drunk and outspoken Poe out of a sticky situation he had found himself in when running across a local gang in a dive bar. The ‘first order’ as they so called themselves, had an infamous reputation around campus for being trouble makers and general doers of bad deeds. Ever since that night they had been an unstoppable duo, until they met you of course, and their duo became three.
You loved Finn, and you knew told miss him like hell, but you also knew that Poe must be feeling that ten times over.
“You wanna do something tonight?” You asked, changing the subject before his mind drifted to where yours had.
“what kind of something?” he wiggled his eyebrows suggestively,
“Gross”
“hey I'm serious!”
“what about Razor Crest, they are open late, we could grab some drinks and meet up with some people”
Razor crest was the only worth while bar in town; it was certainly nothing to write home about, but it played fairly decent music and it had a marginally less sticky floor than others. Additionally, your other friends lived just over from the humble saloon, making it the perfect watering hole for you guys.
It didn't take much convincing before you had Poe out the door and ready to socialise. Upon arrival, he headed to the bar while you were waved over by Rey, who had already found a booth and was already at least a few drinks in.
“Look, i think i have a solution to your roomie problemo” She told you, peeking over her straw, a gleam in her eye that made you feel not all too confident in her yet to be spoken plan.
“Go on” you told her, cautiously.
“My cousins back in town” She told you between gulps.
“The weird one?” You asked,
“Hes not weird, just ...eccentric” the last word was more of a question, but you could tell she was on a roll,
“He's just joined one of the college bands and Auntie Leia says him and Uncle Han are butting heads”
“ah cool, weve always wanted live music in our own flat at 2 am” Poe injected, rejoining the table and placing a drink in front of you before taking a sip of his own.
“hes not BAD at it, he just plays loud i think” She corrected him, “anyway, he's not a total twat, I'm sure he would be considerate of your sleep schedules”
“didn't he try and stab you with a stick when you were five” you asked her, you'd heard stories of this cousin before and none of them were quite savoury,
“that was ages ago! he's like way old now” she was starting to slur her words, but you had a feeling this was something Rey was quite set on. Rey was stubborn, and when she got something in mind she would move hell to make it happen; she was also your best friend, and someone you trusted the judgment off. Had she gotten you into some weird shit in the past? sure.
Did you have any other options; nay on that.
“Fine, get Han or Leia to bring him round at some point next week and one of us will give him a tour” You tell her, and she lets out a little happy shrill at her own personal win. Poe, not so much.
“Speak for yourself, weirdo cousin can see himself around” he crosses his arms and pouts, you give him a little nudge.
“Hey, maybe you'll be best mates” you offer, but when he shoots you a death stare you go back to your drink.
The family turmoil must have been more vicious than Rey had let in on; It was barely the next morning before you had a tall, intimidating male knocking on your door.
“Hey!” you offered him, in as cheery a voice as your hung over self would allow.
He looked down at you from his towering height, but gave no verbal response.
“You must be Ben?...” He offered you the slightest nod you'd had ever seen in response. Okay so, not much of a talker, noted.
You waved him in, shutting the door behind him. God, he looked even bigger inside? is that possible? Rey had failed to mention the sheer height on the boy. You'd seen pictures of her and her aunt and uncle, it seemed like Ben was a scientific and biological mystery. Like how did he get clothes to fit? did he have to shop somewhere special or
you were snapped out of your thoughts by a clearing of a throat.
“So, how much is the rent” so he DID have a voice,
You informed him automatically, still part dazed.
“Ill be in by the weekend” he told you, and with a nod he moved past you, making his way back to the door.
“But wait .. y .. you haven't even seen your room yet?” You stumbled, dumbfound by the lack of foreplay. The previous people you had shown around were full of questions; they wanted to know the ins and outs of the place. Ben had seen all of the door way and the front room and he was already signing the lease.
“See you then” he didn't stop, hand on the door knob as if you hadn't spoken.
“But i don't have your phone number” you don't know why that came to you first, but it was true. At no point had Rey offered you direct contact with Ben, probably assuming he would. It seemed reasonable, that you'd need his number before he moved in, didn't it? Poe was always texting you about random shit in the flat, arguably too much, but it seemed like the norm for people coexisting in such a small space.
He turned back at you and gave you a confused look,
“why would you need my number?”
“erm... to talk to you” your condescending tone not completely masked,
“but ill be living here” he stated, which, he had you there.
Before you could even think of a response he was out the door.
True to his word, Ben had his things over by that very same weekend. Although it was unsurprising considering just how light he packed. In fact, other than his bass and musical equipment, you couldn't really think of anything he had actually brought with him to the flat. You got to meet his parents when they dropped him off, both of whom seemed leaps and bounds more conversational than their son. Ironically, you got Leia’s phone number before her sons; her telling you to message if you ever needed anything. It felt like an indirect jab at Ben, a ‘if he fucks up let me know’, but you digress. The tension between Ben and his dad was blatantly obvious, them sharing no words before he got back into the car and Ben into the house. He did give his mum a small hug goodbye though, and you thought you saw a small tear in her eye before she managed to wipe it away.
Since his move in, Ben had kept painfully to himself. You barely saw him at all in those first days, just heard him through the walls the odd time he dropped something - or saw a plate or cup gone from their places in the kitchen. To be honest , it felt more like a paranormal haunting than a new roommate. Poe was vocal of his apprehension to the situation, sharing glances with you when you would both be in the living room and you'd see ben scurry by or passive aggressively texting you when his favourite cup had been used by someone who wasn't him. it was a relatively small issue, but Poe had blown it so out of proportion that you had ordered a new set of cups from Amazon and sent him the link, shutting him up for a while before he found something else to complain about.
it was the fifth day before you actually bumped into ben again. He was on the sofa with his base set up, twiddling with his amp. The sight surprised you so much you physically jumped back, causing him to look up. crap. act cool. act cool.
“hey” you offered him
“hi” hi replied back, looking back down at his amp.
right, yer. his space, give him his space. Just get your stuff and go back to your room. don't speak to him, leave him alone. he clearly wants to be left alone.
“nice day isn't it” you wanted to cover your mouth, the words coming out against your will. Truthfully, you had no clue why you said it. You hadn't even looked at the weather this morning. Its just what people say right?
“Erm” his eyes shot to the window and then back to yours,”no”
sure enough, it was pissing it down outside. The sky was actually comically grey and you'd have laughed if you werent so angry at yourself. You were unsure of what to do, and he was still looking at you, almost assessing you. His eyes were so serious and dark they felt like they were burning tiny holes into your skin. shit, you had to speak now right?
While regretting every single life decision that had brought you into this kitchen at this time, Poe sauntered into the room like your night in shining armour, ignoring Ben all together and coming straight over to you, placing a big arm around your shoulders. You saw Ben drop his head back down to this bass, and you used all your might to not let out a sigh of relief.
“Tonight, I'm taking you out” He offered, a cheeky gleam in his eye.
“Are you now”
“Razor crest, drinks and dancing, be there or be square” He lists off as if he's a paid promoter, causing you to let out a giggle.
“Whos invited?”
“just the gang” he said, causing you to shoot him an eye roll, knowing full well you ‘gang’ consisted of all of three people, yourself and Poe included in that number.
but then you remembered, there was another person now, whether they liked it or not. Poe’s eyes followed yours to Ben and then back to meet yours again, you saw the realisation change to disgust, as he shook his head silently at you.
you knew this look, the ‘don't you dare’ look, the ‘not in 1000 years’ look. But you couldn't help it, your lips were moving before you could stop them for the second time this morning.
“Are you free tonight, Ben?’
The look of sheer betrayal on Poe's face made you wince, surely he'd understand right? he knew you well enough to know your verbal diarrhoea problem.
Ben didn't even look up, but he did let out a small laugh that felt quite antagonistic.
“i dont go to Razor Crest”
“i don't go to razor crest ugh” Poe mocked, causing Rey to let out a hysterical giggle, and you a sigh.
You'd been out for all of three hours and you were all already feeling the effects of the alcohol. It was late and the bar was jam packed with students all raring to go. Poe had been making eyes at one particular red head almost all night and you were half surprised he hadn't already made his move. Poe put out, it was a fact. You and Finn had at one time made a fridge chart for him, a gold star awarded every time he brought girl home. Whether the goal was to make him feel proud of his conquests or embarrassed, you still weren't 100% sure, but after a month or so you had both lost count and given up. You told yourself it didn't bother you, that he was just a friend, and that he owed you nothing, but every time he left you at the bar for another girl something stung inside; something you pushed deep down but regrettably was still there none the less.
Sure enough, as the night progressed, you and Rey ended up fending for it alone, and instead of feeling sorry for yourself you decided to do the responsible thing and drink more.
After the third round of shots, Rey calls it in.
“I think I'm gonna be sick” she tells you sheepishly, and you can't help but belly laugh in response. She starts to shuffle towards the door and you go to follow.
“Hey don't leave on my behalf” she tells you earnestly, but you wave her off.
“Nah I've had my fill, I'm starting to forget which flat number i live at” you tell her, causing her to giggle this time.
You both stumble out the bar, past the smokers and up the cobbled road towards her flat. She unlocks her door and lets herself in, not before giving you a drunken hug and a sloppy kiss on the cheek.
As you ready yourself to make your way back to your own flat, you come back past the bar entrance; a particularly prominent cobble causes you to trip ever so slightly and gain a whoop from a group of boys who were passing round a box of marlboro straights.
You suddenly realised just how dark it was and just how alone you were. Most nights you wouldn't stay out this late, and if you did, then you'd normally be walking back with finn. You let out a shiver, a mix of both the cold night air finally breaking through your drunken daze and a smidge of fear. The Razor Crests entrance lights were getting progressively further away, and although you know that you only had a maximum of a half mile walk back to your home, it felt like ample distance to get kidnapped or murdered in, most probably both.
How many true crime stories started with a young drunk girl, scantily clad and out alone at night? You could hear the police reports now, which photo would they use? you prayed it would be a hot one, at the very least one after your thin brow phase.
Being literally bumped back into reality, in almost a cruel humorous way, you felt yourself walk head first into a figure, their arms coming out to catch you as the sheer momentum bounced you back.
Oh god, I'm dead. I'm literally going to die.
“Hey, chill out” The voice made your heart beat both slow and race again,
“Ben?!” you shrieked, voice hoarse through pure anticipation of your thought to be demise
“Are you okay” he asked, and only then did you realise you were shaking like a leaf.
“Im fine” you let out in a small voice, looking down at your shoes. You could feel the redness in your cheeks through pure embarrassment alone. This was not an ideal situation for him to see you in, and you kind of started to with that he had been a murderer, at least then you wouldn't have to deal with the second hand embarrassment in the morning.
“What are you doing out here”
“why are you out alone”
you both asked simultaneously,
“I was coming out for a smoke” He told you, flashing his tobacco pouch at you from inside his coat. His very warm looking coat, might you add. Another shiver ran down your body.
“Im coming home from Razor Crest” you tell him, trying to be matter of fact but slurring your words just enough to spoil the show.
“Yes obviously, but why are you alone” he shoots back in some what of a patronising tone, it wouldn't sit well with sober you and it definitely doesn't go down well with drunk you.
“Im a big girl”
“clearly” he makes, making extra sure to look you up and down from his towering distance above you, causing you to huff.
“well i can take care of myself”
“you shouldn't be out alone around here, its not safe” he ignores your response, looking you dead in the eye.
You feel something inside you flutter, a warmth that you can't quite control. Okay, ben might be weird and a bit annoying it would seem, but he was handsome, thats for sure. The limited light danced off his strong features and dark shaggy mop of hair, making him look both dangerous and appealing.
As if you were standing here mentally flirting with the idea of being with Res cousin; you made a mental note to punish yourself for the ludicrous thoughts in the morning.
“Okay well I'm going home now” you tell him, attempting to push past him, but his large hand finds its way to your forearm and pulls you back,
“yes, you are, come on” If what he said before was patronising, he was now speaking to you like you were a dog he was walking.
“go have your nicotine, ive got this one covered” you tell him with a mock salute, causing him to roll his eyes. He lets go of your arm and you take your win, trying to step confidently away without falling. You're proud of yourself for handling the situation when you realise he's following all of 10 steps behind you, rolling a cigarette in his hands while holding a filter between his teeth.
when he catches you looking, he nods down to his hands,
“want one?” he mumbles between his lips, still holding the filter pride of place.
“no thanks” you snap, picking up pace.
Ben smirks at you, but you miss it, too focused on not embarrassing yourself and keeping your feet in line.

ok i had a small thought about the youtuber au so like
imagine one day albert wakes up and check his socials and sees some wack shit going on, he gets upset and he goes live on instagram talking about it even though he has literally not gotten out of bed yet but he's a n g e r y, so he talks, and mid-live race enters the room and he's like "hey albie, you want breakfast?" and albert, who was previously fuming, just fuckin melts and goes full on heart eyes at race and he's like "yea baby i'll be there in a sec, okay?" and the chat just fuckin has an aneurysm because he did a whole 180 in like 0.00000003 milliseconds when he saw race
ok now i have more thoughts- this always happens istg
race is Bad at gaming, we've been over this, and al teases him about it a lot when they're playing something together but whenever race starts getting frustrated over a game al notices and instantly drops it and gives him a little kith and helps him win
on the flipside, whenever al gets frustrated over a game he yells and curses a lot, so race will notice even if he's not in the room and he'll come in hoping to help him calm down but they just end up both yelling at the screen and then get a noise complaint
race and al do announce that they're engaged, but they don't announce that they,,,, actually got married until after the wedding. this was partly because albert knew it'd make the fanbase go batshit and as much as he loves them he'd rather freak out about this on his own, because he knew he would freak out, but at the end of the day it's race, he knew he wanted to marry him since like forever and he doesn't think he could ever be with anyone else so it all turns out ok. so, yeah, they get married and no one knows shit about it except the guests of course but duh, and then once they get their wedding pictures in digital form they just post a bunch captioned "cute date idea: get married" and "lol btw we had our wedding, forgot to mention" and shit like that. and like,,, technically everyone knew they were going to get married, they talked about how close the wedding is,,,,,like, constantly, but they didn't think they'd just do it and not mention it so naturally, everyone loses their shit.

- for the sake of keeping this modern (and the ability to mention some shit that makes me really angry too cause might as well) he’s ranting about all the assholes making ‘not all men’ trend in response to the 97% statistic. and as we know, albert isn’t always the most talkative person in the world, that’s usually race’s job, but this man chugs his respect women juice every day and has a lot of thoughts and feelings on this fuckery. he’s in the living room (cause race was still asleep and he didn’t wanna wake him up being Mad™️) and like half an hour into the live race’s half asleep self pokes his head into the living room with a blanket cape and cup of coffee in each hand asking if al wants breakfast and you can literally watch the tension leave al’s shoulders. and he takes the coffee and kiss and says that and chats just like “????? what the fuck was that you were yelling two seconds ago????” and he just shrugs like “can y o u be mad when that face is looking at you?”
- yesss. theyve know eachother for like,,,, forever, basically. so al knows when teasing ok and funny and when it’s not anymore and race needs encouragement and help instead. race also really appreciates al’s form of helping him, which is just hugs and explaining the controls while race sits in his lap cause why wouldn’t that be his form of teaching
- jdhdjd they WOULD get a noise complaint oml. as stated before, race can calm al down in 0.2 seconds, but if he gets immediately sucked into the game and gets mad too then it’s absolutely hopeless
- oh you’re 100% correct. i’ve mentioned before they make a video out of their wedding, and they DO, but it’s not released until after their honeymoon. everyone just thinks they’re on a regular ass vacation. also those captions are race and albert (in that order, specifically) to a T dhshdh. but yeah they didn’t wanna say when it actually was cause ✨privacy✨ so one day they just,,,, are married and all the fans loose their shit.

i really hate that people (a lot of my mutuals specifically) are saying stuff like "jawsh and noah were right!!" bc like. imo no they werent. you can admit that they had a good point on a different situation or even think like "oh i get where they were coming from now" but that doesnt change the fact that both of their statements came across as ableist then and they still do now, especially bc of their actual actions both before and after that whole situation. stanning someone does not automatically mean being a terrible fucking person and the fact that people who left mcyttwt/switched to subtwts like technotwt for safety think that now somehow blows my fucking mind bc they of all people should understand that you can criticize someone or something without generalizing it or condemning it entirely. also like. it doesnt really matter what terminology you wanna use, calling urself a fan doesnt make you any less of a stan nowadays when the word stan is now used the exact same way as fan so people trying so hard to seperate them bc other stans have given them a bad rep is just weird like why dont you just try and make stans look better instead of shitting on them as if you dont also have a layout for a fucking different minecraft white boy?? the problem isnt even really stans, it's that a lot of mcyttwt is getting shit easy bc their ccs dont call them out when they cross boundaries and when they are called out by other people they automatically get defensive bc people actually being shitty in the past made them think all criticism is hate. idk if this really makes sense im just super annoyed by everyone saying this shit rn like pls how have we done a complete 180 to thinking these two are somehow good just bc theyve made a few okay criticisms?
Exactly ! I understand the want to distance yourself from a community with a bad rep - to be honest, you won't catch me calling myself a "stan" except for as a joke - but that doesn't change the base-level qualifications and the perspective from which Jawsh and Noah are making these statements. Their careers are built on "stans" whether they like it or not - just because theirs aren't cancelling people on twt don't make them any less slash parasocial or hivemind-like - and they'd rather bitch and moan about the current social climate than actually take the time to dissect its flaws, understand the individuals within it, and attempt to foster a better community. No, they throw their hands up and claim that it's "inherently toxic" while the cash filters into their pockets, telling Minecrafters to bend over so that they can fuck them in the ass every time their impressions are low. These aren't empathetic people pointing out serious issues, they've got basic observational skills and a holier-than-thou attitude. I know that what they're saying rings true and it's because twitter users are surrounded by people caught in the thick of it, but that doesn't at all mean that they're on your side.
I'm worried about where this will lead, because mcyttwt tends to have a very black-and-white attitude (as do most people, but they're the focus here) and falling deeply into that kind of mindset - as I said before - is just as unhealthy, if not more so. Hyper-criticism and invasive attitudes toward streamers are a very prevalent problem in the Twitch community (and outside of it) atm, but those issues are so often being pointed out by people who are only angry because they can no longer get away with being racist/sexist/ableist/etc for views.
It's just not an either-or and I really hope that people breaking out of the "stantwt" community don't throw themselves into that side of things just because they see it as the only other option.

1. when i introduced this interest to my wife like last year. im very selfconcious when it comes to telling ppl about my interests that are kinda out there, cause ive been dealing with a lot of shit that comes with it for a loooong time tbh, but its a huge part of me and shes my best irl friend and i was like. im gonna do it she can judge me all she wants. and she got SO into it and was super excited that i shared this with her and we watched a whole lot of stuff that weekend and everything was super great. god i love her
2. my first ever live show. so wwe took like a ten year break between coming to finland, and then they decided to show up again in 2019. now me and my brother are both adults compared to the last time they were here, we were both making our own income and were like FUCK IT LETS GO. and thus we ended up in our first ever live show. i still fucking tear up thinking that oh my god i saw all these peeps live. i was one of the few people (there was like. four of us, me and my brother and some kiddos across the arena) chanting 'sami zayn sucks' which is still one of my fondest memories ngl LOL. such an emotional and amazing night, would do again in a heartbeat and i dont even watch this company anymore lol
and 3. those two nights we watched battle in the valley with @ss-trashboat (feels high key weird to tag you in this since you asked this LOL). the first night the whole karl thing happened and i fucking lost my mind, you literally heard me cry on voice. and the second night just. as a whole. seeing buddy again after months since his release, you freaking out over will, just juice, both of us losing it over jay. and being sleep deprived to hell and back on both nights cause lol timezones and just man. i love wrestling and i love you so much this whole thing honestly meant so much to me im ah <33

I’m here to prove that Andrew Garfield’s portrayal of Spider-man/peter parker in The Amazing Spider-Man is objectively the best love action adaptation of the character. In this essay I will....(yes this is really happening)
Edit: 10/20/20- i want to indulge myself in spiderman content but finding non mcu spiderman content is exhausting so imma update this instead
TL;DR
Andrew Garfield is my favorite of the 3 Spider-Man actors. TAS’s Peter is more fun and dynamic than the cookie cutter “shy introverted nerd that has a crush on a girl who’s way out of his league” Peter in Tobey Maguire’s movies. I enjoy Tom Holland’s portrayal of the character, but hate the way Disney has written the movies. I enjoy the characters, plot, and humor of The Amazing Spider-Man far more than the other 2, and i deeply wish we had gotten the third movie with the canon BIder-Man of Andrew’s (and my) dreams.

Characterization
Most arguments against Andrew Garfield’s Spidey( AG’s from now on) begin and ends with “he was a good Spider-Man but a bad Peter Parker”. This references an outdated post comparing all three Spidey actors.(Id attach the image here but i dont want the post to be too long(thats a lie this is so long what am i doing with my life)) The post also claims that Tobey played a good Peter and a poor Spidey; and that Tom is good at both “roles”.(Honestly I think it seems silly that this seems obey the “third time’s the charm” rule but thats just me). Most people using this seem to be Tobey stans who have forgotten or ignored the rest of the post funnily enough, but the ones that go further into the WHY AG is a poor Peter are also incorrect. This argument also ignores the idea that there can be more than one version of Peter Parker which is blatantly incorrect. Just look at Into the Spiderverse or the PS4 game; these provide 4(5 if you count the pig) versions of Peter themselves, and that doesnt even include the comics.
Arguments that go further in depth claim that the AS Peter is too cool or well liked by his peer to be a “true” Peter Parker. The evidence for this seems to be that Peter has a skateboard.(which what? didnt realize that having a skateboard would instantly make you cool brb guys). Adding to that i dont really see where people get the idea that Peter is popular or well liked. While looking for complaints i found this qutoe from reddit(theyve since deleted it looks like but i’ll add a link in the notes) “He's angsty, pretty socially awkward, has an aptitude for science, and is kind of an outsider. He gets bullied by Flash and he gets his ass kicked after trying to stand up to Flash. He isn't a "cool" person in any way (until the ending, in which he's best buds with Flash, so I'll give you that). While Maguire is more accurate to the 60s comics where Peter in high school is just a fucking loser with basically no friends, in the ultimate comics, Peter is more of the kid who has a small amount of friends, but isn't popular.”. Honesty i fully agree with this because once again, other versions of a character are allowed to exist. You can dislike one version, but its silly to dislike something for not being exactly like another thing.
Ive also heard that Peter isnt “nerdy enough” in this movie which really doesnt make any sense considering the entire plot happens because Peter was looking into some of his parents’ research. If he wasn't interested in looking further into his father’s work what reason would he have to go to Oscorp where he’s bitten by the spider? Why would he have become Dr. Conner’s assistant? If he wasn’t intelligent how did he develop the web shooters?(something that Tobey!Peter doesn't have to do out of plot convenience might i add).
Another complaint i see is that the quips he uses in the movie(the first one specifically it seems) makes him seem like an asshole. Honestly thats a fair complaint, but i think its a good bit of characterization; espcially if he does get better about it in the second movie like the internet suggests.The Peter in this movie is a rightfully angsty teen; of course he acts a bit of an ass to criminals(also i feel like its important to mention that he’s like that to criminals? its not like hes being a dick for no reason).
Compare this with the Tobey Maguire(TM) movies. Like i said i haven’t seen these in awhile but as far as i’m aware TM’s Peter doesn't really do anything particularly nerdy in the film? I may have forgotten something( ok in the scene before he gets bitten he knows a cool spider fact) but he doesn’t have to invent the web-shooters because they came with his powers and he’s only at Oscorp in the first place because it’s a school field trip that he appears to be taking photos for. This Peter does fit the definition of outcast(friendless and bullied for it), but honestly i just dont like him. He’s weird and something about the character makes me feel like i should be a little grossed out every time he looks at MJ at the beginning of the movie.
I honestly don’t have any complaints for Tom Holland’s(TH’s)Spidey. Tom is a great actor and from what ive seen i enjoy his portrayal of the character.( He made me cry when i character i actively dislike died).
Story
I cant really say much for TAS story. It’s interesting but nothing special really. However, there is one scene that i don’t think i’ve seen anything like since( the closest would probably be the train scene in the original trilogy).
The crane scene. Early in the film Peter saves a boy from a car that has fallen off of a bridge, and at the end of the movie this becomes relevant again when it is uncertain that Peter will be able to get to the lizard to stop him in time.(as Peter is already injured and pretty far from the lizard’s location). The boy’s father is then revealed to be a construction worker who recognizes that Spider-man is going to need help to get to the lizard; he remembers how Spider-Man saved his son and organizes the rest of the construction workers to build a path out of crane arms for SM to swing from. All of them are putting themselves in danger by not evacuating, but SM’s actions in the first act of the film motivate them to do what’s right.
I love this scene primarily because it highlights something that i think is a really important part of Spider-Man’s character; his connection to the people he saves. SM is often shown interacting with and chatting with the people he has saved after the fact. One comic shows Peter accidentally scaring some bullies and then taking the time to ride the bus to school with them to continue their conversation and educate the students on bullying.( There’s definitely more but this is off the top of my head).
Another scene in TAS that i love is shortly before the crane scene when Peter is originally attempting to make his way across the city to stop the lizard, and he is shot down by the police. They manage to unmask him before Peter comes to his senses( he had just been shot and fallen pretty far out of the sky in his defense). From there Peter is able to deal with the police while keeping any of them from getting a good look at his face. The one cop he cant take out happens to be Gwen Stacey’s father who had previously had an argument with Peter about Spider-Man(Peter obviously on SM’s side and Mr. Stacey against SM). Peter turns and allows Captain(?) Stacey to see his face. I believe that this is an example of an unwilling identity reveal done right. i really enjoyed this moment because Peter had just shown that he likely could have gotten out of this encounter with his identity in tact as he had just taken down however many men. This implies that it was an active choice on Peter’s end to trust that Captain Stacey would ultimately do the right thing and allow Peter to go fight the Lizard, rather than a final desperate attempt to get away unscathed. Whether or not this interpretation of the scene is correct or not it still gives the character a bit more agency than some versions have done with their identity reveals.
In Spider-Man 2 Peter starts to lose his powers because he’s having internal conflict about wether or not he should be Spider-Man. Honestly thats kinda neat and i might want to give that a rewatch. As for the one i have seen i don’t have any complaints. I do however prefer the way that Peter was bitten in TAS because it was a result of him poking around where he shouldn’t’ve been rather than him just happening to be standing in the right place for a spider to land on him.
Onto TH’s movies; the way Disney has treated Spidey in the MCU is why TH’s is my least favorite version of the character. I feel like too much of the story revolves around Iron Man; Iron Man made Peter’s suit and equipment, Iron Man introduces Peter to the MCU(via blackmail but thats another rant for another annoyingly long post), its Iron Man that “makes” Spidey in this universe rather than Spidey being self-made. In Homecoming(which remember i havent seen outside of clips so bear with me) most of the conflict is cause directly or indirectly by Tony’s refusal or inabilty to communicate with the teenager he’s meant to be mentoring
For one the entire incident with the ferry could have very easily been avoided had Tony bothered to communicate with Peter enough to tell him that the situation was being taken care of. On top of that at the moive’s climax Peter is shown trying to get in contact with Happy(from what ive picked up isnt he a chauffeur? like idk his deal i just know he’s someone Peter got pawned off onto after Civil War). Peter even goes as far as to somehow hack into Happy’s phone(i think thats what happened it was a weird tech thing that shouldve been a red flag that the call was important though) but instead of listening; Peter is ignored. If this was a different kind of movie Peter literally could have died and itd be the fault of Happy and Tony like..... A large portion of conflict comes from characters being incompetent and not communicating and thats just poor storytelling.
Before this turns too much into an anti mcu rant id also like to say that the way they did Civil War was really dumb considering that Peter defects to Cap’s side in the comics, but whatever.
Also i loathe the way they handled the identity reveal at the end of Far From Home. With MCU movies most people know to expect an end credits scene by now, but typically that scene is not important to understand what’s happening in the films; they just aren’t important. Putting an identity reveal here makes it seem significantly less important than it is. On top of that i dislike their use of J Jonah Jameson for this scene.
JJJ is a character who has been repeatedly shown to have a genuinely good heart. All of his anger comes from a place of love for his city(he even says this hemself in the ps4 game when May writes in to tell him that he needs help). He hates Spider-Man because SM reminds him of the masked man who killed his wife; JJJ has never been able to get past that( and Peter’s antagonism of him definitely doesnt help) However, JJJ has been shown to care for people; he has a son who he often brags about, and one comic shows that JJJ is paying Peter for “amateur” quality photos because he knows that Peter is having a hard time and “just need some help”. JJJ has even learned Peter’s identity before and kept his secret for him(seriously though i cant remember the name of the comic but its defiantly worth the read), and in the original trilogy when Goblin threatens JJJ he claims that he doesn’t know who sends in the photos of Spidey because he does it via email( this is a lie). The MCU will have a very difficult time convincing me that JJJ would ever out a teenager’s identity and put him in danger like that. It goes too far against his character.(this could be hypocritical of me to say considering how i just insisted that multiple versions of a character can exist but whatever ¯\_(ツ)_/¯)
This is accidentally turning into an MCU rant but id also like to say that i hate the lack of a TH!Spidey origin movie because it gives you no motivaion for Peter becoming SM or explanation of his powers; most people will know these things but if youre unfamiliar with the character its bound to be confusing(and im a sucker for origin movies)

I haven’t watched episode 8 yet...or have I? If it’s the most recent one. No.
Is the hornbill a bird? It probably is but I have a terrible memory and I’m dumb so. I skipped the last few weeks because I’m scawwed. How are you liking it? I did see someone say that the hornbill makes sense (without knowing what it is...at all) bc heart transplant patients only live like 5-15 years after but someone in those comments pointed out that he was so young when he got his and that’s pretty rare so he has a higher likelihood of survival. you make a really excellent point. i think the young young gen zers are really really just interesting because it’s like this whole new world for them with leftist politics and they just can’t grasp the horrors of the world and the kind of freedom being a leftist can bring. and so many people don’t grow out of it. those people so happen to be the “least productive” in terms of how much time they spend IRL withe these issues. naturally, younger kids are gonna have a harder time. they are not as mobile as well so the internet becomes this place. but then it’s this echo chamber. and many times just things posted without sources. and social media NEEDS that to exist.

jk also theres just different personalities. you and i mesh more bc we have a lot of the same beliefs and are coming from the same place. that makes it easier to understand as well. i really try to remember that but some people are really weird so. again just...the perception of certain things even down to acting skills. but i also dont like.......believe this genre can really do anything at all. on one hand i want them to do it right bc it’s a piece of work so they should. be proud of it. cos most things arent advancing us bc representation and culturalism are a lie bla bla. it’s just that when the depictions are negative or not done well it adds to the problem as opposed to the things that are well done are fairly benign and can’t really pull us back (perf example is the black panther film. i woudl definitely not say it was transgressive as a literal work but visually it’s just stunning. and it’s sad that it’s stunning and surprising but still with basically an all black cast of mostly dark people abd like what it means in the zeitgeist yes. it’s also just a good movie. but it’s still imperialist prop and unfortunately and this is fucking pathetic to say it “opened eyes” in other countries where they hate black ppl and ignore their own racialized minorities HENNYWAYSSSS a better ex is moonlight except moonlight isnt mainstream and is indie tho...still thru a funnel of capital bc a24 but who cares bleed the fuckers dry is my motto. my point is moonlight is both a great work and doesnt bring any failures to the table and its existence helps in ways outside of art but they arent the defining things giving us material advancement sooooo i mean it’s complex (this is my conclusion to everything um guys it’s complex)
er i had one more point in conjunction to above. oh yea so i like dont need all these extra things to make it progressive. like people really want more women in the show and i am honestly like i really dont. i dont want them to actively do this. if they cant do it naturally then let someone else do it. i am not asking for more bc i dont want it from them. when something comes along i embrace it but i do not see why women should be represented when the genre RELIES on patriarchy. there is no complete satisfying existence for the women in these series. i dont want it. i dont ask people to show us~*~* or respect~* like fuck no the people who make it make it and hopefully more will make it in the future but i will not beg bc THEY DONT WANT TO DO IT SO WOULD FORCING IT MAKE IT BETTER? just fucking leave them out entirely. that’s the answer if theyre gonna make nasty female characters then those bitches can geaux. we have other plcaes to be. booked. and. please rant about your omegaverse fic tell us about those linen/cotton prices (or literally any odd detail you want) drop a random fact about the verse, anything. we'll eat it all up, i promise -💪🌟
okay so the undergarment thing came about because i needed to know what kind of clothes everyone was wearing for Plot Reasons and while i knew i wanted the time period in the Regency-Late Georgian-Very Early Victorian range i still had to translate Real Historical Gendered Fashion to Fictional Gendered Fashion for a totally different gender culture
so, short version (short version because i went totally overboard and actually wrote out the entire content of Roman, Remy, and Remus’s wardrobes, both pre-going to court and post and this post would get FUCK OFF LONG), this is approximately what the gendered clothing looks like
it still got pretty long so under a cut
Alphas
in everyday life, alphas generally all wear the same layers - a linen smock and stockings, a long gown/tunic, and a type of hooded robe called a gaberdine (which is FIRMLY medieval and so way out of the time period range of everyone else but i do what i want)
they usually arent very heavily decorated, maybe colorful or with simple patterns
however, in high-class circles (ie when Roman + siblings go to court) this takes a very sharp left turn into “i make roman cry” territory
the same basic layers - but in heavily decorated and sheer or semi-sheer fabric, worn over what can only be described as lingerie (including codpieces - yeah, that bad)
because “People want to know what kind of husband theyre getting, Roman” say Roman’s shitty omega parents who i already hate and theyve barely been fleshed out yet
Betas
betas wear a lot of fun to design clothing for, because the nature of gender roles in this verse (specifically, betas being coached from birth to be physical protectors of their siblings/future alpha spouse) meant everything had to be easy to move in, and either involve armor or at the minimum double as armor
as such, even fancy formal clothes for betas are made for function before form, every time
a formal shirt for an omega can be made of anything, but a betas would be made from, for example, silk or pressed and laminated linen, both very difficult to pierce, and a full outfit would probably involve multiple layers of clothes in such fabrics
betas do not wear skirts (or at least, a beta in a skirt generally gets the same response that a conservative would give a cross-dresser in our world) and this is a recurring source of :( for Roman/Remy/Remus’s youngest beta sister, Peggy (this universes Pranks)
also, dark and muted colors for betas - think social camouflage, meant to be relatively easy to ignore/in the background. Remus likes emerald green, and while their parents generally let him get away with a darker/forest-y tone, when he can get out in public with his preferred shade its considered downright gauche by other people
Logan’s dark blue is tolerable - Patton’s preferred pastel blue is considered worthy of open mockery
Omega
omegas by far have the most freedom of expression when it comes to clothes - they can wear shirts/waistcoats/jackets/pants, or blouses/dresses/bodices/skirts, and while generally male omegas wear the former and female omegas the latter, they definitely dont get much if any scrutiny if they wear the other, or even mix and match.
all of which is to say Remy is genderfluid in this verse and i will be putting him in Many Pretty Clothes of the mix and match variety (me projecting??? dont @ me)
Virgil too but slightly less so
Virgil, who is pretty much the only omega main character other than Remy, is much less comfortable in opulent/showy clothing, which is an issue now that he’s the crown prince - he’s much more comfortable in what many people would consider “beta colors” - even his signature purple he prefers in darker shades
also, skirts generally dont fall as low as alpha clothes - omega ankles/calves are not considered ScandalousTM, so hems usually hover around the knee.
more general things
we predate elastic and synthetic fabrics here, so the most shapewear we’re getting is reeded or whaleboned stays or MAYBE corsets - the show-offy undergarments roman’s put in (much to his distaste) are revealing and over decorated, but probably not skin-tight
will be putting remus, logan, and patton in actual armor in addition to clothes that double as such, and its totally normal for betas to openly carry around weapons because im gay and deserve it
at fancy parties omega siblings often coordinate their jewelry, and sometimes whole outfits, though the latter is considered somewhat corny
linen is in fact cheaper than cotton XD
