Well if both of them die as a result of the wish, then the butterfly miraculous does get found.
Ladybug does everything she does in the finale, Even giving the other miraculous to her friends. The only one left is the Butterfly, which for the time she decides to keep close to her chest until she finds a good candidate.
But with no Lila, there is no hawkmoth meaning no threat to the heroes... at least no miraculous threat.
Ladybug even told chat noir that they shouldnt have anymore secrets and was going to plan a reveal.
But before that, Chat noir asked Ladybug what exactly went down that day. Curious on how Gabriel/his father, sacrificed himself. He wanted to know. Since she said no more secrets.
Ladybug deciding that Chat noir should know the truth, explaining that it was sort of something out of her control. That Gabriel wasnt actually the hero, he was Monarch. Chat noir was shocked. And that Gabriel was dying from his cataclysm.
Marinette even explained that Monarch used his wish and sacrificed himself to make it happen.
Chat noir asked why she wouldnt tell adrien, let alone the city the truth. (Clearly very angry about this.)
Ladybug explained that she thinks that she did reach him in some way.
"He wanted to be remembered as trying to be a good father, and his wish was to bring people that would love Adrien."
"So even in death he is still manipulating my life."
Chat noir detransforms to reveal his true form.
Ladybug was shocked.
"My father was a manipulative and abusive terrorist, and the one good thing about him, the one thing that I thought I could look fondly on him for was all just a lie to save face. Of course it was."
