It's OC Ref time!
Phemus(she/her) is a psychopomp who wanders the fields of Hades and guides lost souls home! She doesn't talk much of her past, but she's cheery, chatty, capricious, ever the connoisseur of a good yarn, and especially prone to lending a sympathetic ear and bending the bureaucratic tape of the Underworld a bit more often than she probably should (it's for a good cause she swears)(it's Funny)

Hm .. trying to decide what I should use for my bath tonight!
Milk and honey or roses and vanilla bean? 🤍
(I know it’s a small thing, but the right scent is very important to me ok !! )
And *also* more importantly .. what should I read ?? My new book or finish the one I’m currently reading ?? 🤍
I’m so indecisive !! It is my greatest failing !!
I should probably just hurry up and finish the book I’m currently reading so I can put a review up here already (as I’ve been saying I will for a month now eep ; ;)

you're so right on that bronies post...like...thats such an interesting thing to think about but its so true
I know, right ?? sexism in fandom is so rampant, with the number 1 leading shitty trend currently being female characters being overlooked/sidelined/simply ignored in favor of male characters with the exact same traits - especially the unwillingness to develop under-utilized female characters the way under-utilized male ones are
meanwhile bronies in 2012 were not only INTENSELY invested in developing mlp's female main cast, they also extended that same hype to practically every other female character that got more than a second's screentime on the show. the common joke about bronies is that they were all a bunch of weirdo basement-dwelling perverts (and yeah, some of them were, in more or less harmless ways), but I dare say the MAJORITY of brony fandom content was like. massive genre-defying fanfictions. dozens upon dozens of entire albums' worth of songs of every genre. super-detailed crossovers with other media. character analysis! piles upon piles of femslash written with incredible detail and care! art, craft projects, a bunch of genuinely cool shit, all centered on girl characters who other fandoms wouldn't have given a shit about!
like, again, I'm not saying the brony fandom was Cool, Actually (I think the whole phenomenon was layered and complicated, and I don't think I'm the right person to decide if it was a net positive or not), but I AM saying that there was something really, really interesting going on gender-wise over there and I wish someone smarter than me would talk about it without either airbrushing out the issues or being demonstratively disdainful about it out of fear of being deemed a Pevert Apologist (bad) or Cringe (worse)

No bc fuck tim but it really really bothers me how people ignore his growth like he used to be an asshole and I’ll give tim Stans one thing: now he’s so so so stale but what I disagree with is that this staleness is bc nobody likes him like it’s in fact the exact opposite where everyone likes him so much they dont want to do anything. Even when it’s him surface level challenging Bruce it’s when everyone else is doing it too; but he’s still the backbone of the fam! Etc. and it’s so irritating bc him gaining more compassion and empathy even for people he doesn’t fw is so fun to watch and that’s why the captain boomerang thing was so out of character! (Not in a from the author way but in a tim wouldn’t do that and he and Bruce both knew it which is why it went down like it did. Same way dick killing joker was ooc; not in fanon sense but in a he would hate himself forever for this sense) and speaking of that it’s such an interesting mirror to Bruce who genuinely believes that everyone can grow vs Tim’s it doesn’t matter if they grow it’s not my decision to make like it’s the same but it’s not AND WITH CASS’ IT DOESNT MATTER IF THEY CHOOSE NOT TO GROW I WONT DO IT! like ugh. And anyways even when people acknowledge it they boil it down to “Janet and Jack taught him that the capitalist pigs that they are” like no. This is who tim was. Tim was the kind of guy who’d blame a dead kid for dying. That’s ok. Also Janet and Jack? Please reread anything involving them that’s not a fic like Jack had anger issues and they were both aloof at worst like relax.

in the video game pikmin four by nintenbo your player character has an option in ur menu that is "rewind time". positing this as a power that you have that nobody else seems to. at least to ur perception. this power is commonly how u achieve dandori beast status by getting practice in thru repeating dungeons. the other dandori supercharged character in the game is louie. he knows how to cook alien animals perfectly seemingly through repeated experiment. but he has not wiped out any species in a certain are yet . do you see my vision

so I wanted to say that since I'm really enjoying this event, I will likely continue to post about it, including analysis. I want to talk about the game mechanics and strategies but it's been so hard to do without people thinking you're talking about the discourse. I think as a community we all need to be a little less jumpy about this event, because I've seen posts of people being afraid to talk about the team their watching because they don't want to be dragged into discourse. I think a lot of genuinely lighthearted posts about a fun event are being misconstrued as something malicious
all of my posts are made with the spirit of friendly competition. a lot of other people are posting like this too! people should be able to do this without getting accused of hating ccs or being unfair
i've been posting a lot about red team, specifically because that's who i've been watching the most. i watch pretty much every english speaking qsmp member, it just so happens that right now i have a sub to foolish so i've been watching him so i don't have to deal with ads. because of this, i will probably continue to talk about red team the most. i'll talk about blue and green teams when i watch them! if i had the time to watch vods from every team and do a complete strategy analysis, i would. but I don't have that time. i genuinely don't care which team wins, but that doesn't mean I won't be rooting for certain teams on certain days. like on day 2, red team going from barely visible on the score bar to winning the day was an amazing underdog story! of course i'm going to root for them! and for day 3 I was rooting for green team because i want to see fitmc tryhard!
at the end of the day this is a fun event. it's fun for the ccs so it should be fun for the fandom. and if you're scrolling thru tags and getting upset/annoyed/angry at people posting about a friendly competition, you might need to reevaluate yourself
