So begins the write-up on the 6612 Tapes (Møre og Romsdal, Norway) page announcing the pre-sale of this amazing release. Of course The High Water Marks are here but so are Mikal Cronin, Rose Melburg, Honey Radar, Dressy Bessy, Elf Power and The Ladybug Transistor. And there are enough bands I've never heard of to make this an incredibly well-rounded compilation.

And you get great artwork from Per Ole Bratset. Really, he has some of the coolest art - reminds me of Hamish Kilgour or David Mitchell.

ZooTampa Rescues and Rehabilitates Threatened Manatees

The Yob Family Foundation (YFF) is a non-profit that supports causes that appear to have been left behind. The foundation serves in various areas, including nature conservancy, and supports the work of ZooTampa.

ZooTampa has a history of conserving wildlife. It rescues, rehabilitates, and releases threatened animal species like the manatee. ZooTampa is home to the David A. Straz Jr. Manatee Critical Care Center, a federally permitted manatee rehabilitation facility. The world's first non-profit critical care center for manatees, it has a standby team of animal care professionals ready 24/7 to respond to emergency cases involving sick, injured, or orphaned manatees. In over 20 years, the team has rescued and rehabilitated over 500 manatees and released over 280 into Florida’s waters.

In 2022, the center rehabilitated 17 manatees and released 11 after they fully recuperated. It also cared for four orphaned manatees and aided the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission with 16 manatee rescues and transports. Moreover, the center executed outreach campaigns to educate Florida residents on the importance of co-existing with manatees. Unusual manatee mortalities rise during the winter. Therefore, the center’s team assesses the animals to identify those that need rescuing.
