Đó là người đàn ông gầy gò, mặc chiếc áo hoodie ấm áp, có mái tóc húi cua nhìn cũng bảnh trai. Anh ta ngồi trên chiếc xe tay ga, trông có vẻ hồi hộp.

Anh chọn một căn homestay khá xinh xắn nằm ở trung tâm thành phố. Chiếc giường lớn, nệm dày choáng hết không gian. Vào phòng vệ sinh, tôi thay một chiếc áo mỏng, cố tỏ ra gợi cảm nhất. Phía bên ngoài, người đàn ông có vẻ hấp tấp. Có vẻ như anh ta đang rất căng thẳng.

- Nếu không thoải mái, anh có thể tắt đèn.

- Ừ. Vậy thoải mái hơn! - Anh đồng tình.

Trong bóng tối, chúng tôi trần trụi. Khi đôi mắt bị tước bỏ khả năng, những giác quan khác bắt đầu trở nên tinh nhạy. Hơi thở anh. Cả hơi ấm đang phả ra dưới lớp chăn. Cả mùi hương nước hoa còn vương nơi hõm cổ.

- Thật ra em không thoải mái lắm. - Tôi đáp ấp úng.

- Ừ, anh cũng vậy. - Người đàn ông ấy đáp.

Chẳng hiểu vì sao, chúng tôi cùng cười. Chính điều đó làm tôi thả lỏng hơn. Trong bóng tối, tôi hình dung anh. Sống mũi cao. Cặp môi dày. Ánh mắt đang khép hờ. Cả hơi thở trơn trượt trên làn da tôi.

- Tại sao anh lại tìm mối quan hệ kiểu này?

- Vì anh quá bận. Nếu quen ai đó vào thời điểm hiện tại, anh sẽ không chăm sóc tốt cho họ. - Anh đáp - Một mối quan hệ thế này thoải mái cho cả hai.

Câu trả lời của anh khiến tôi ngạc nhiên. Người ta thường phủ lên những lý do thú vị hơn. Vì bị bội phản. Vì chẳng còn niềm tin vào tình yêu. Hay đơn giản, chỉ là họ muốn làm tình.

- Lý do nghe thú vị nhỉ?

- Ừ. Nhưng thực sự là vậy. Còn em thì sao?

- Em không tìm được ai phù hợp. - Tôi đáp - Như thể đàn ông tốt trốn đi đâu hết, để lại mấy người hoặc thô lỗ, hoặc như khát tình vậy.

- Haha. Đôi khi anh cũng thế. - Anh đáp - Ngoài kia người ta đòi hỏi nhiều quá. Vật chất. Những yêu cầu. Đẹp trai nữa. Anh không đáp ứng được.

- Nhưng anh khá lịch sự đấy! - Tôi đáp lại. - Còn em thì không đến với anh vì tiền.

- Thế à?

- Ừ. Vì em giàu mà.

Đến đây, chúng tôi cười lớn. Giây phút ngượng ngùng dịu đi. Và anh ôm lấy tôi. Thứ da thịt đàn ông ấy ấp ôm, làm tôi muốn tan chảy.

- Đúng thật... - Bỗng nhiên, anh nói - ... Đôi khi thế gian không kiếm nổi một kẻ tốt trong ái tình.

Trong đêm đó, chúng tôi nói nhiều thứ. Về công việc, gia đình. Cả về những bí mật chẳng thể kể với ai.

Buổi sáng, khác với những lần ái ân xong rồi ai về nhà nấy, anh dẫn tôi đi ăn sáng. Món ăn bình dân, mà ngon đến lạ.

- Lâu rồi em mới ăn xôi buổi sáng.

- Vậy sao?

- Công việc em không cần lên công ty thường xuyên. 10h sáng em mới dậy.

Lần này, anh cười lớn.

Khi về nhà, chúng tôi chào nhau. Lúc chia tay, anh nhìn tôi rất lạ. Rồi người đáp:

- Hôm qua là lần ân ái tuyệt nhất của anh.

Lúc đó, tôi nhìn anh, gật đầu:

- Em cũng vậy. Hẹn gặp lại.

- Ừ. Hẹn gặp lại.

Khi anh đi rồi, bỗng nhiên tôi ngồi gục xuống cửa nhà, bật khóc. Lúc đó, tôi nhận ra đã lâu rồi chưa có người đàn ông nào đối xử ân cần như thế. Càng lạ lẫm hơn, anh ta chỉ là người tình qua đường.

Tối thiểu, vẫn còn đâu đó những kẻ tốt trong ái tình...

So after ten years of watching the show only from bootlegs, I eventually got chance to see it in person, started with the Chinese and then the Korean production this year. And luckily it was the Brilliant Original in its entirety in Korea.

Playout is always one of my top favourite moments from the musical, so I made this compilation as a memory of my very first experience.

And this way, my 2023 Phantom Journey came to a curtain call.

MC or OC MUST be Jacob’s younger sibling. If they do not have an older brother named Jacob, they have to at least be your in-game character.

MC or OC MUST be your in-game character or avatar. This is the most important criterion.

MUST be born between 1 September 1972 and 31 August 1973 (I guess I will be lenient to those born on September-December 1973). This is canonically their birth date so it’s only appropriate.

If MC or OC is a twin, their twin sibling will be included.

Adopted sibling/s may be included as long as their birthdays fall on Jacob’s sibling’s canonical birth date

Jacob himself and any other older or younger siblings will not be included in this list. Cousin/s will not be included, as they are not even Jacob's sibling/s. Any other HPHM OC/s who are not Jacob's sibling/s or who isn't your in-game character will not be included either. Rời xa ai đó, thật ra không dễ nhưng chúng ta rồi sẽ làm được thôi. Chỉ là, đôi khi phải chấp nhận cô đơn, chấp nhận một mình. Chấp nhận những đêm nhớ đến quặn lòng, những buổi sáng thức dậy đợi mãi một dòng tin nhắn như đã từng..

Phải tâm niệm thế này.

Nếu duyên số chỉ đến chừng ấy thì cưỡng cầu cũng được ích gì?

Vì cuộc đời không có từ “mãi mãi” nên nắm không được thì phải học buông tay!

Và nếu đã buông tay, hãy học cách bước qua nỗi đau thật kiêu hãnh, thật mạnh mẽ để đừng khiến bản thân tổn thương nhiều hơn nữa.

Có những chuyện đau, tốt nhất thay vì nhắc lại và chạm vào, hãy để nó im lặng rồi dần tan biến. Biết đâu một ngày, đứng giữa hiên thềm nắng gió, tôi, bạn, những người đã cũ, vẫn yên bình đứng đó nhưng đã chẳng còn yêu. Khi khoảng cách, giờ cũng đã quá nhiều.

Đến một lúc nào đó, nhẹ nhàng bước ở hai thành phố khác nhau, chúng ta nhìn lên trời và thở hắt:

Đó là câu tỏ tình của chị với anh. Không phải là lời ong bướm. Chẳng có hứa hẹn. Chị đơn giản nói mình lành lặn rồi, và sẵn sàng đón người khác vào đời.

Như thể, chị đưa con người rách bươm của mình cho một người, và buộc họ phải trao lại thứ tốt đẹp nhất.

"Em có thể yêu cầu sự giúp đỡ, nhưng em không thể dựa hoàn toàn vào một người. Họ chỉ nên là người đồng hành." - Chị nói thế.

Tôi hiểu, chị cũng hiểu, rằng càng trưởng thành, ai cũng có nỗi đau khác nhau. Không kẻ nào thanh khiết hay chưa từng chảy nước mắt. Khác biệt, là có người vượt lên, có người lại phó thác cho kẻ khác.

Phải, chúng ta có thể yêu cầu giúp đỡ. Nhưng chúng ta vẫn phải hiểu, xoa dịu bản thân là việc của chính mình. Và ngay cả khi vụn vỡ, ta cũng nên tìm đến ai đó bằng phiên bản tốt nhất có thể .

Know-It-Alls and the Information System

Know-It-Alls are informants on all things spiritual: Gods, ghosts, mediums, and the likes. They serve as information hubs for divine and Heavenly mediums who are hunting down ghosts. They are often not affiliated with each other. Some carry specialized information that makes them exclusive in the field. However, it’s possible that they have a network of information to exchange, coordinate and control the field. Exclusive Know-It-Alls are also very particular about their way of selling information.

Hoa Linh (she/her) is a haughty tailor in Thái An who moonlights as a Know-It-All. When she's selling information, he is called “Brother Lĩnh” (he/him), and speaks warmly, without a southern accent like Hoa Linh does. He is the main (and most popular) Know-It-All in the Central area.

Phan Xình (he/they) is a knife and scissor sharpener in the South. He has the Eye of Yin Yang (the ability to see ghosts) and so was able to attain many exclusive information himself. A dull and easily startled person.

Tạ Chu Cận (she/her) is a traveling musician and Know-It-All in the north. She sings about stories you never heard of before, including one about 2 girls named Nhật and Nguyệt. All information sold are told in songs, which may be hard to understand and can be misinterpreted.

Comparison: —Brother Lĩnh: only accepts trade of information as payment; he is stationary and therefore easy to find. Top pick for information on Heavenly mediums and Central area divine mediums. —Phan Xình: moves around a lot, accepts money as payment. Top pick for information on local (Tiên Lữ, Phù Dung area) ghosts and divine mediums. —Tạ Chu Cận: songs are hard to understand, sometimes does not give you what you want. Top pick for information on Northern ghosts and olden spiritual cultivation.
