if light and L had sex then L would tell chief yagami "i had sex with your son last night" in front of the entire task force just to fuck w light. and bc he likes causing scenes and thinks that it's funny
soichiro would be horrified. light would be so goddamned pissed. matsuda wishes he was a cop in a different fucking city
i only listed the people who i see fanart and such of the most often, aka what i assume are the "fan favourites". if i didn't include your fave, i sincerely apologise! (was gonna add a few more but there is a limit to the number of options on polls :,) )
Thinking about Matsuda visiting Soichiro's grave during the case when he's feeling frustrated. The first few times he can't bring himself to speak but eventually he starts having little 'conversations' with him. It helps him think things through. No one else on the task force will take him seriously enough to entertain his ideas or theories, so he takes his thoughts to the cheif because he always listened.
Imagine him visiting for the first time after he found out Light was Kira. Breaking down sobbing, apologizing to the dirt without even really knowing what he's apologizing for. For shooting his child? For not realizing Light was Kira sooner? For the fact that the cheif's only son was such a monster?
Soichiro was his father figure and he feels no matter how he looks at the situation, he'd let him down.
i've been thinking about the death note musical and 'there are lines' in particular.
(the post is under the read more because i don't want to take up the whole screen)
the part in 'there are lines' where light and his dad are singing together is… peculiar to me. not in a bad way, but i noticed something.
the chorus goes: “you don’t kill someone / as a substitute / you don’t load a gun / close your eyes and shoot / you don’t kill a man / just to buy a clue / this is not a plan / lawmen can pursue”. that’s the full chorus (first time around anyway, it’s a little different the second time), and soichiro (mr. yagami) sings every word.
BUT. when he and light sing it together (soichiro sings, light repeats), light omits “you don’t kill a man / just to read the signs” as well as “you don’t load a gun”. which. is a fun detail. because he does sing “you don’t kill someone / as a substitute”.
instead of singing “you don’t load a gun / close your eyes and shoot”, light only sings “you don’t / close your eyes and shoot”. light takes aim when he “shoots”. he knows damn well what he’s doing when he kills people. the “you don’t kill a man / just to read the signs” is a reference to L, and right after soichiro sings that, light says “that’s no better than / bad that good defines”. light knows that soichiro was talking about L, but deliberately said that’s no better than the criminals they work to investigate. which is an… interesting thing to say when you’re a serial killer.
L confronts Light on his crimes, and Light decides to permanently mar L for daring to challenge his rule as Kira. The final chapter of "Judas: The Fall of a God" is available to read now! Hit the link below to read the latest addition, "Apostate Confidant."

ALSO: Please know that I am going to be writing a novel sequel to these four pilot chapters in two days for NaNoWriMo. I estimate currently that this story will be done sometime close to NaNo for next year, and thus I ask that you add this story to your library or subscriptions so you can be notified when it comes out. Here are the relevant links (Fanfiction.net doesn't have a preview option, but Watt and AO3 do, so those will be the only sites listed).
Meet the most irritating bitch you've ever seen in your life, my Lawlight fusion! :D (Click for better resolution you know the drill...)
- The most unholy fusion to ever exist. L and Light touched something they shouldn't have and now they're stuck together.
- All of Light's psycho brain but coupled with L's shamelessness. They like to scare people by materializing out of shadowy corners and popping out of odd places.
- L's dragon-esque hoarding tendencies + Light's desire for shiny and rare things = AWFUL kleptomaniac. They steal everyone's valuables and shinies and hide them away in increasingly weird places.
- Lyra often talks and mutters to themself in a language they made up specifically so L and Light could argue with each other and speak without being understood by the rest of the Task Force. Given that it's made up of about seven different other languages, no one's been able to crack it.
- The only people they listen to are Soichiro and Watari, and even that varies wildly depending on who's driving at the time.
