Sorry this took so long, but I hope you like it!
"Are you okay? Please tell me you're okay."
The voice was familiar, but over the pounding in your head, it was hard to place.
"Mmh," You groaned, struggling to sit up, but firm hands pushed you back down. "Head hurts."
He chuckled softly. "I don't know how you managed it, but you caught that baseball with your head."
That was right...You'd been walking through the park with Xilixas, and there were a bunch of teenagers playing baseball (or at least catch) nearby. The ball must have flown a bit stray of its mark, to have hit the target of your head so squarely.
"Am I bleeding?" Opening your eyes seemed like a bit of a task at the moment, so you decided to hold off for now.
"Nah," Xilixas' tone was full of relief and suppressed laughter. "But you're gonna have a heck of a goose egg."
You groaned again and made another show of trying to sit up, but he pushed you back down again.
"Here, let me."
You felt his arms underneath you, and soon he had you scooped up against him.
"Let's get you home, yeah?"

I have a stupid ask!
Okay so you know what a selkie is? If not, it's a like... mythical creature where it's a person that comes from a seal, and they take off their seal skin which turns into a fur coat and they can go out and walk around.
Well! The thing is, if you take a selkie's coat they're unable to go back into the water, and then you two are counted as married. Blah blah blah.
How would they react to their selkie partner/whatever giving them their coat?
Not a stupid ask at all! Sorry it took so long!
You expect Xilixas to take it seriously, despite the way he jokes around. But when you offer him your coat, he just stares at it for a while, and there's a question in his eyes when he looks back at you. You can tell he doesn't think he's worthy of such an honour, despite the way he talks and the usual joking bravado he displays.
"Are you sure about this?" He asks.
When you nod yes, he takes it, but his hands are shaking. He nods, and you can see the nerves in the way he moves now.
"Okay." He sighs after a few seconds. "I won't let you down."
You know he won't. You wouldn't have given him your coat otherwise.

You're not sure what to expect with Tahlen, but you trust him, and you're willing to take a chance.
But when you try to give him your coat, he freezes and for the first time, you think you glimpse real fear in his eyes.
"What are you doing?" He asks, his voice carrying a dangerous tremble.
He knows what you're doing, and you tell him as much.
"No." Is his response.
You take this to mean that he doesn't understand, so you explain it again.
"No," He says again, shakier this time. "I don't accept."
"What?"
He stares at you for a few seconds, his eyes like burning embers. "You don't know what you'd be getting into." His words are a caution, but you can't tell if he's referring to himself or some unseen danger.
You're not willing to let this go, but for now, you're willing to step down. With some time and talking, maybe you can figure out what he's so afraid of.

Perenia hesitates, meeting your eyes. "Are you sure about this?" She asks.
When you nod, she accepts your offer and your coat.
"Please know that I won't tie you to me." She says, and her eyes and warm and sincere. "You are free to leave whenever you want, if you want. But," She smiles and pulls you in for a hug. "Please know that I treasure your company."

"Xilixas!" Roxy called after knocking on his door loud enough to be heard down the hall. Her patience was very quickly running out.
She was just about to knock again when the door opened, and she damn near knocked on Xilixas's bare chest. She was lucky then, in that he was around. Unfortunately, today seemed to be one of those days. At least he was wearing shorts.
"Hey," He purred, eyes half lidded as he closed the door a little to lean against the frame. "Something I can help you with?"
The suggestion in his tone was not lost on Roxy, but she wasn't in the mood for that kind of sparring match with him right now. No, right now she was after something else.
"Not now." But her tone was just enough pleading that his eyebrows arched playfully in response.
“Ohh?”
“Dude, seriously, don’t you look around?” Jamie’s words would have come across annoyed with anyone else, but Xilixas caught the lighthearted tone.
“Oh, hello,” He singsonged, leaning a little harder against the door frame. “Here for a snack?” He asked, tilting his head to the side to bare his neck a little.
At this, Jamie seemed at a loss, but whether that was because Xilixas’s brazen offer had caught him off guard or because he was genuinely considering it, Roxy couldn’t tell.
“He actually just polished off a bag of cheese-dusted nacho chips.” She cut in, drawing the flirt’s attention back to her.
Xilixas’s borderline sultry expression dropped into one of amusement. “That’s a choice.”
“Come on, I didn’t come here to be shamed.”
“So what did you guys come here for?” Xilixas slipped into more of a slouch against the door frame.
“Heard you might have some info regarding the whereabouts of a certain sword of mine.” Roxy said, with no small amount of impatience.
Xilixas snorted and opened the door wider before slipping farther into his room, his invitation entirely nonverbal.
Roxy wasn’t optimistic about his response, but she followed him anyway, Jamie in tow.
Xil’s room was messier than usual, things strewn across the floor haphazardly. He wasn’t known to be tidy, but he was rarely this messy.
“So is that a yes?” She asked as Xilixas picked up an orange tank top that had been draped over the back of the couch and pulled it on over his head.
“It’s not a no, I’ll tell you that much.” At her blank expression, he continued. “It’s not really a yes either though. The only thing I know from talking to Dez is that Salem might have it, but no one wants to go into his room to check.” He shrugged. “And that’s assuming that he’s not carrying it around with him.”
“So you don’t have anything new?”
Xilixas snorted a soft laugh again. “Who told you I did?”
At this, Roxy was forced to admit that perhaps her source was not the most reliable, but Jamie cut her off.
“Dani said she overheard you talking to Dez about something that sounded relevant.” He leaned back against the wall beside the door. “To be honest we’re kind of out of leads.”
“How many people have you talked to?”
“Feels like half the household by now.” Roxy sighed.
“You talk to the dragons yet?”
Xilixas had no way of knowing what her morning had been like so far, so she really shouldn’t have gotten as frustrated as she did by that question.
“All except Salem,” She said through gritted teeth.
“Okay okay, take it easy.” He held his hands up in a placating gesture. “What about Jude?”
“Does she know something?”
“Probably not,” Xilixas chuckled. “But you’re gonna want her help kicking Salem’s ass when you do find him.”
“You know, at this point it might be an idea to abandon the whole lead thing,” Jamie said. “Seems like he’s leading us through the whole house anyway, might as well talk to everyone.”
Roxy sighed, long and deep.
“Alright, let’s go see Jude.”

How would any of your characters react to meeting someone that looks like a monster from a horror movie. They're big, scary with sharp teeth, long claws, and just... Monster.
But they turn out to be one of the sweetest people in the world.
Good news, anon! Everyone here is well acquainted with Violet and most of them are pretty chill about it. But! Here are the ones who would have the strongest reactions:
Toni is very curious about your physiology, mostly. She's interested in a scientific way, but this doesn't mean she won't try to befriend you. She would probably let her curiosity seep too much into any conversation, though...
Dani is quick to try and make friends with you. You're bigger than she is (it doesn't take much, though) and if she's being perfectly honest, she needs more tall, intimidating friends in her life. Learning you're an absolute sweetheart will only make her like you more.
You might be one of the spookiest looking people Xilixas has ever met, but that's not going to deter him. So, are you doing anything later? How about dinner? Oh no, his treat. Just, uh, so. Why don't you tell him about your family? What do you do for fun? Are you into humans? Oh, no reason.
It takes Lillianna a while to adjust to the sight of you, and if you can tolerate all of her efforts to make you less scary looking (i.e. flower crowns, ribbons, etc.) she'll warm right up to you.
Fenway finds you very spooky looking, and even though she is visibly afraid, she still makes an effort to be your friend. Please don't be offended - she's trying her best.
Jude takes a long time to warm up to you. She's naturally distrustful of anyone new and you are very...different. She'll probably ruin any chance of a friendship just by being a suspicious pain in the butt, and by the time she's decided it's safe and okay to be close with you, she's probably already blown it.
Ghost is A-OK with you from the start. Who cares that you're spooky looking? What matters is that you're kind and friendly! He will ask for his cardboard house to be expanded so you can sit and have tea parties with him (if you want).

What are 5 of your OCs favorite foods?
Luna really likes a nice baked salmon with lemon and a bit of garlic, and maybe some rice on the side.
Xilixas will take a mom & pop shop style burger any day of the week. Harvey's is okay in a pinch, but nothing beats something made by people who care about what they do.
Salem's absolute favourite food is something he hasn't been able to have since he was orphaned, but a close runner-up would be a good homemade carbonara.
Owen likes snack and finger food best - chips, cookies, candy or even a cracker, cheese and kielbasa tray.
Aquarios likes sushi, specifically smoked salmon sushi.

For Perenia, it depends on who the loved one is. If it's Ghost, who is like a son to her, she's likely to smile and ruffle his hair or fur, depending on what he feels like looking like at the time. If it's anyone other than Ghost, she's much more likely to brush it off.
Tsuragi is big on dramatics. If it's a romantic partner telling them they're loved, Tsu might do a big dramatic swoon, all for show. If it's family or a close friend, they're much more likely to hug that person tightly and assure them the feeling is mutual.
Xilixas is known as a flirt, not necessarily a lover. So if someone genuinely conveys that sentiment to him, he might need some time to come to terms with it. A lot of his self-confidence is bravado.
The most likely thing that will happen if someone tells Nightmare he is loved is he'll shrug it off and change the subject. This gives him time to mull it over in private, dissect the other person's intentions and figure out how to respond. Of course, if this is a repeat offense occurrence, he's likely to respond with a placating statement like "Of course", or "I know", and leave it at that.

What makes them smile the brightest? For uhhh... Xilixas
Xilixas smiles the brightest when people flirt back at him. This might sound kind of superficial, but he's used to his flirts and pick-up lines being rejected, so to have someone play along is very refreshing.
You an also make him smile by pointing out things about him that you like, like his sense of humour or the way he stands up for people who can't or won't stand up for themselves. He likes knowing he's appreciated, but on the other hand, if you compliment or praise him directly, he'll freeze up and not know how to respond. He's good at giving praise, but terrible at receiving it. I wonder if there's a way to change that...

Does anyone play violin? Or some sort of string instrument?
Sykes plays a variety of instruments, stringed and otherwise. His favourite is the piano (which is a string instrument if you think about it), but he's also good with the guitar (acoustic, preferably) and the cello.
Xilixas plays the guitar too, usually acoustic, and usually for the purpose of serenading someone. It's been a handy skill to have, even if it doesn't always work.
Dani tried to learn violin for a while, but found she didn't have the patience for it.
Fihn and Tahlen are both making an effort to learn the guitar, Fihn leaning acoustic while Tahlen leans toward electric.

How would they(anyone you'd like) react to their S/o secretly being an angel? Big fluffy wings and cute but can have a big freaky form.
If she's being honest, Luna is a bit jealous. She's always wanted big fluffy wings like yours, but she doesn't think she would be a very good angel - she's very timid and shy. And your secret freaky form? When you're like that it scares her, but at the same time she knows (or at least hopes) that you'll protect her in times of trouble.
This doesn't change Xilixas's opinion of you at all. If anything, finding out you have a freaky angel form makes him more interested because this makes you more interesting. And knowing him, there are certain things he's very interested to know about your freaky form.
Perenia is fascinated by your wings, but it's hard to tell if it's because they're big and fluffy and soft, or because their presence means you're not human. She's especially interested by your biblically accurate form, even though you half expect to have to deliver the "don't be afraid" line. You don't have to with her. She's not afraid of you, and she won't be unless you give her reason to be.
Nightmare thinks the big freaky form in particular is interesting. The cute fluffy side of you is nice, because it's you. But it reminds him too much of how angels are depicted as the image of all things good and pure. Your alternate scary form, though, shakes that up. He appreciates a good subversion of expectations every once in a while.

Xilixas mind maybe?
Xilixas's mind is...interesting. At first glance you might think it was a combination of three entirely different people. It's a mess of conflicting themes, and difficult to sift through if you don't know what you're looking for.
In what could be called one section, every available surface is cluttered with magazines and posters sporting depictions of models of all genders. Some of the images look as though they've been crumpled and smoothed back out again. There are polaroid photos pinned to a corkboard, but the faces in the photos have been scribbled over with black marker.
In another section, overlapping some of the magazines and posters, is an area containing a well worn punching bag. Taped to it is a picture of a face you almost recognize, but age and repeated wear has rendered it mostly lost.
Connected to both these areas is what can almost be called a house of mirrors. But instead of showing the looker in an unflattering light, these mirrors amplify the looker's good features, making them better looking - at least to their own eye. A vase of roses sits on an end table, forever waiting. A box of chocolates sits beside them. Both the roses and the chocolates have gathered a substantial amount of dust.

Dani isn't fond of rats for reasons she can't explain. She has no issue with people who like rats, and it's not personal, it's just something about them...bother her.
Xilixas doesn't like monkeys. There's something uncanny there that unsettles him.
Owen doesn't like birds of prey but, being a ferret shifter, that's kind of instinctual.

Under the cut is not for the faint of heart. Mentions of gore and sexual assault.
Toni has an issue with a certain type of gore in particular: beheadings. It's a little complicated, but in her past life (as a Cybertronian OC) she was unceremoniously executed for running to the Autobots for some semblance of safety. She tends to avoid things that would or could obviously contain something like that, but if she misses something or if the warnings on a piece of media aren't accurate, she freezes.
Xilixas's flight reaction is triggered by depictions of rape/non-con. That one is a little too personal to discuss, he keeps it very much to himself.
It's only happened once, but Red can get triggered into a blackout rage by people talking too much in depth about his underground, or presuming to know things they have no idea about. There's a reason it only happened once - Owen learned his lesson the first time.

I don't know if this would be too long to ask but I have a funny thing that happened a long time ago.
When I was 5-6 years old, I thought I could fly because my grandma kept telling me I could "You're a hero, you can fly I promise!" and I was able to get up onto the roof I think? (Or something else that was high) and I jumped off cause I thought I could fly.
I, of course, couldn't. I went to the hospital and they put a cast on my leg but then my other leg didn't work so we thought the hospital was stupid and put the cast onto the wrong leg.
We were gonna get mad but then! I found out that I had both legs broken.
And yeah, I was just wondering how some of your characters would react to learning/hearing this story. If it's too long, just ignore this lol. I mostly just wanted to tell the story cause it's funny.

Xilixas admires your reckless spirit, but thinks maybe you shouldn't be left unsupervised. Don't worry though - he's happy to supervise you for future adventures, if you know what he means.
Lillianna is appalled that any adult would promise something like that to a child. She tries not to laugh at the fact that you broke both your legs and didn't immediately realize it, because she's too focused on being upset that your grandma put the idea in your head to start with.
Jade laughs at your story and tells his own story of adults giving false information leading to injury. Granted Jade was a fair bit older, since it was after he joined his pack family at around 12. His pack leader told him he could leap from one rooftop to another across the street, as a wolf. Jade was laid up for a while afterward.
As far as Ghost is concerned, you are a superhero. You jumped from a high place and lived to tell the tale! He's impressed you didn't break more bones to be honest. He also makes sure to tell you that it isn't nice of grown-ups to lie like that.
Violet is confused and concerned. Why... Why would you believe that you could fly? Of course, you were very young, and he knows how easy children can be to convince of certain things. You're lucky you didn't break your spine. From now on, expect to be on a calcium-rich diet. Oh no, he insists.
Expect Ash and Nyx to swaddle you in bubble wrap (physically and metaphorically). You're not doing anything even remotely dangerous anymore. Need something from the store? Ash will go - he's the more responsible one of the two, and he'll look for sales. Nyx will buy whatever looks most interesting, so at least make sure you don't give him your card.

"Do you ever think," Dani started, trying not to turn her head, even as she wanted to look at Briar. "That we could be best friends?"
Behind her, Briar giggled. "Aren't we?" Her fingers were deft as she weaved tiny braids in Dani's short hair. "You have your back to me. Most people would assume that's a sign of trust."
"True," Dani chuckled.
"Although, if you're feeling like there's still a rift between us," Briar continued with a near-audible grin. "We could do some team-building exercises."
"Ooh," This time, Dani couldn't keep herself from turning to look at the skeleton braiding her hair, even as her hair was pulled from the motion. "What do you have in mind?"
Briar chuckled, her empty eye sockets never having looked quite so eerie. "Let me finish with the braids and I'll tell you."
An hour later, Briar and Dani sat waiting around the corner at the end of a hallway, having rigged up the entire hallway with nigh invisible, non-harmful traps.
"Are you sure about this?" Dani whispered to Briar, whose hand was shrouded in pitch-coloured magic.
Briar giggled softly. "No one will get hurt, don't worry."
"Actually, I'm more worried about us, when whoever gets through our gauntlet catches us."
Briar just giggled again. "I'll make sure we both escape, relax."
Dani wanted to believe her, but she didn't know all the uses for Briar's black magic, so she kept quiet and waited with baited breath.
Finally, there was the sound of a door opening and closing, and with a flick of the wrist, Briar's magic was gone. She had said earlier that the first trap would need a little help.
"What the-"
Dani recognized the voice as belonging to Xilixas, and was a little worried when his exclamation was cut off so quickly. But Briar didn't seem concerned, and together they listened as he stumbled through their hallway of horror.
Xilixas was drenched when he got to the end, but his hair was sticking up somehow, as if someone had gelled it. He looked tired and annoyed, but when his gaze landed on Dani and Briar, an amused smile stole across his face.
"Ah, so you're the ones to thank for my surprise shower and hairdo." He was grinning good naturedly, even though Dani knew he was less than impressed.
Briar giggled and wiggled her fingers at him in a girlish wave. "You're welcome," She sing-songed.
Xilixas scoffed, arching one eyebrow. "You know, if it had been anyone but the two of you, I probably wouldn't be so nice about it."
"I feel like if it was anyone but you, we wouldn't get off so easy." Dani sighed, trying to calm her anxious heart.
He just laughed. "What can I say, you girls got pretty privilege."
As Xilixas turned and walked away, Briar elbowed her accomplice. "See? I told you it'd be fine, bestie."

Reader has very thick thighs. Which ones would use them as pillows?
This ended up being pretty cute, I think.
Toni would love to lay her head on your lap, only as long as you don't mind laying your head on her lap sometimes. A little bit of give and take, you know?
Xilixas would use them as pillows no matter the size, as long as you're okay with it. He could lounge there with his head in your lap for hours, but he understands that you have other things to do. Just...maybe you don't have to do them right now?
Fihn & Tahlen both love to use your thighs as pillows, but they each have different ways of appreciating your softness. Fihn will hum happily and fall asleep within minutes, and Tahlen will lay down, get comfortable, and make a special effort to stay awake. He needs to make sure no one bothers you while he's comfortable. (But mostly he wants to make sure if anyone sees him being vulnerable, he's awake to defend himself.)
Jude would love to lay her head in your lap. She gets all comfy and she showers you with praise and affection - it's totally different from how she is with anyone else.
Ghost loves that you come with built-in pillows! Every time he catches you sitting down, you can expect to find him in your lap before long. Wherever you're sitting at that moment is where you live until he decides to get up or you decide to move him.
Dezyn loves naps, and since you're so soft...Well, he has a new favourite nap buddy. Hope you don't mind, and if you do, you might have to be firm.
