It would be so funny if they hated each other at first only to grow close and get their dads back together
Oh my gosh I love this idea SOOOO MUCH.
Literally it's such a cute concept. The Twins meeting at some summer camp Sandy is running or something, neither parent realizing this. Just a real bad ending to their relationship that ended with both agreeing to never see the other again. Ending up in Megapolis unknowingly at the same time and their little boy's meet.
MK lives with Wukong and Xiaoxiao with Macaque. Both parent just taking the child that had more of their powers.
Gosh I gotta tell you- this Au is DESTROYING ME, right now.

Finished Autumn Ballad by venting my irritation in a review and found this gem. Bastard said everything i did, but in only one line.
#autumn ballad#man I wanna talk about the women in this show at great length#how you gonna play my girl xiaoxiao like that#the lost dynamic friendship between#liang yi#qiu yan#and#xiaoxiao#a gd tragedy#what’s deliberate and what’s not#and what feminism in modern china looks like vs here#with a historical show like this as well … is it being deliberately critical of traditional court#or fanciful / romantic?#I can’t help but compare this show to lltg#because the leads have a similar power dynamic#but when I watch lltg the female leads and stories are fascinating and deep#there are vast and varied femal relationships#that are so different then what we get in American media#ar felt a lot more like an American misogynistic show#like none of the females were consistent#none of them were actual friends#it felt very HT feminism#a lot of them committed suicide#some of this or maybe all of it is probably due to the translation#it was hard to tell what’s bad writing vs a complicated plot point vs blunt translation

It would be so cute. Imagine them getting into so much mischief. I bet Xiaotian would be the better liar if they ever got caught 😂
But its really a nicht story idea, they would have each other and wouldn't be sick all the time (poor Wukong and Macaque. Imagine the twins but with energy AND later on powers. They will be exhausted parents xD)
ME TOO! I have so many other fanfics- BUT I STARTED WRITING FOR THIS AU XD I can't help it! It's so adorable!
The twins would be the ultimate little mischevious kiddos~ But such happy and loved kids. Neither ever sick, thus Macaque and Wukong's protective tendencies wouldn't be as bad.
Endless energy and always up so early in the morning to wake their parents up.
Though...
Their names would change in this AU.
MK would still be MK as a nickname for Monkey Kid, but he would go back to being Qi Xiaotian.
I love Xiaoxiao being Xiaoxiao, so he would be Qi Xiaohua instead :3
