Eternal Love of Dream - Episode 44

So Donghua is on a seducing mission kekekeke. Just kidding, but he’s definitely trying to please his Xiao Bai. Fengjiu asks him if he has anything urgent, she’s probably worried to see he’s already beack - but happy too. And the answer to that question is, yes, which is sending a gift to you. A flower crown which says: you are mine only. He’s really about the candy and even ate all of Moye’s share already. She takes him to play all around, since he had nobody to take him out when he was younger. But why is she treating him like a kid? I know she wants to make him experience all what he did when he WAS a kid, but still... For a powerful - and arrogant - immortal like that to be treated this way... Well, I guess he loves her very much to accept that. While shopping in town, Donghua notices that Miao Luo is lurking around in the dark. Such an annoying lady. Go away. Fengjiu feels bad for not having recognized him earlier and she’s happy that he cares for her like that, even though she really doesn’t understand what triggered the change in Donghua and in his attitude towards her. Love Fengjiu, that’s all about looooove! Hahaha.

Moye is tiring from keeping the furnace working all alone and has trouble to keep on making the magical tool all by himself because Donghua left him to go and spoil Fengjiu.

Fengjiu thanks Donghua for coming to see her. She wasn’t in a really good mood because she pities a lot Alanre. Then Donghua tells her not to feel too sad because she’s not Alanre and when they come out of the dream, he’s going to marry her. Wow. That guy isn’t wasting any time. You know her dad won’t want you as her husband right?  I can’t imagine Bai Yi being okay cool, you marry my daughter. Totally fine with my son-in-law old enough to be my great-grandfather. It’s not that easy. Donghua isn’t a nobody. Plus, first date properly and don’t treat her like she’s all yours when you made her so many times. Well it wasn’t all of Donghua’s fault since he didn’t know, but still. Then he kisses her and she asks him if she’s not dreaming and if he’s going to forget all of this when they get out of Alanre’s dream and he says he won’t, she doesn’t have to worry about anything. When guys say that, we girls have to worry. Sorry, not sorry.

Some there’s some sort of festival in which girls will through a magic fragrant pouch to the guy they think is cute and then they get a date. Seems to be a little steamy date. All the girls throws their pouch at Donghua and Fengjiu tries to get rid of them, but they are stuck by magic and she’s pouting very much about it. But Donghua consoles her by using his own magic to get rid of all of them. Just... Maio Luo comes out right then and sends him one and then he goes chasing after her, thus leading to Fengjiu thinking he’s flirting with someone else right in front of her. So she’s angry and sad, he just told her he wants to marry her and now he’s leaving her all alone to spend the night with another woman? Nonsense! So she goes back home without waiting for him. As soon as she gets back, Chacha comes to get her because Shen Ye got extremely drunk and is making a scene. Fengjiu stays alone with Shen Ye to deal with this.

He confronts her for not being Alanre. He cries really hard and Fengjiu doesn’t get what he’s talking about.

Donghua wins again against Miao Luo. This is getting boring. Can we skip all those little fights and get to the big final one already?

Fengjiu still takes care of Shenye and tells him that if he really liked Alanre he shouldn’t have been so cold to her and should have told her his feelings. He thought that this he could protect her. Then he’s about to touch her face and jelly territorial Donghua knocks him out. Fengjiu gets angry at Donghua and tells him that he got drunk because he noticed that she’s not Alanre. He doesn’t seem to care that much. She starts crying and says she’d rather stay in the dream than go back to her real life.

Shen Ye wakes up. This time is the last chance to get Alanre’s soul back to life so nothing can go wrong otherwise it all goes to waste

I would like to see a little bit more of the real Alanre. We don’t know anything about her. And even though it’s three world three lives, well it’s only Donghua that has more than one identity. I can’t sat he’s doing an awesome job on acting three different characters, but that’s mostly because the three roles are somewhat similar, but it’s still some extra work that Dilraba Dilmurat doesn’t have to put up with contrary to Gao Weiguang.

I was curious about the relationship between alanre and her mother. In the drama, it was never specified why the mom hated alanre so much. I have my own theories, probably in line with ideas of blackmail and probably some version of rape, but I was curious if it was clarified in other sources.

     Admin Ro here. In the book, Aranya’s mother, Madame Qing Hua, was married to the first king, Xiangli Yin. He’s the father of Junuo, who Madame Qing Hua was pregnant with when there was a coup, led by Xiang Li Yin’s brother, Xiangli Que. Xiangli Que was successful in overthrowing and killing Xiangli Yin, and Madame Qing Hua married him for the safety of her child. Their first child was Aranya. For reasons that are not clarified, though you could probably easily infer, Madame Qing Hua really hated Aranya. However, she does (in Shen Ye’s narrative he mentions specifically that she must dislike her husband less) have a second child with Xiangli Que later. This child is their third daughter, Chang Ti, who is also very loved. 

     These are all the facts that come out of the book about Aranya’s narrative that I’m really able to provide you with. Whether or not your inferences are correct isn’t exactly textually specified, though I think Tang Qi usually isn’t one to tackle darker themes like that without proper address.

Eternal Love of Dream - Episode 42

Fengjiu wakes up and is wondering how come she’s inside the coffin. Is this her real self? Then she sees Donghua and he comes to her, telling her to hide well. Of course, she can’t do that. We are talking about Fengjiu. The real one there. She ends up running in the rain looking for Donghua. Stupid foolish girl. Trust him a little bit more in times like this. But at some point, I guess that’s what he likes about her, she’s a strong (?) independent woman who doesn’t hide behind his back in front of danger.

Junuo’s crying in her mother’s arms and the queen promises to find a way to make her come back to the palace. FYI, she was banished out of town. Anyways. The mother blames Shen Ye for being so cold to Junuo, if he wasn’t, she wouldn’t have gone to see another man, thus wouldn’t have become pregnant with someone’s child. But no. Just no. It’s her own fault for sleeping with somebody, she decided that by herself.

Fengjiu ends in a cave filled with scorpions. But she finally finds Donghua, which is maybe a good think He calls out her name and doesn’t say anything else before kissing her and pushing her into a wall. She’s the one pushing away and he asks her to not push him away, he feels dizzy. He wants to keep on leaning on her but she feels a little uneasy and makes him sit down shile she go get some wood to light a fire. He tries to make her stay, but she still leaves wondering what happened to Donghua to be acting weirdly like that. He looks like a child.

When she calls him to come so she can check his wounds, he says he can’t move. He acts all weak so she goes to him and have a look his wounds. When she’s done she goes further away again but he makes her come back. He tells her he came to get her. She asks him why, isn’t he happy with his Ji Heng? And he’s like how is she my Ji Heng? She deduced that from the fact he would give the pinpo fruit to her. He says he just gave it to her because he didn’t need it and didn’t want to give it to Xiaojiu because he thought she was going to make cakes for Chiwu so he was jealous. He tells her he likes her and he knows everything she did for him.

He makes her sing for him again. This time it’s more like the same voice. He promises not to hurt her again. He also songs for her and promises to take her back to Qingqiu when they get. So weird to see a childish Donghua like this.

Shen Ye is just so depressing, everytime he comes out it’s depressing.

Donghua realizes there must be a connection between Alanre and Fengjiu. Donghua brought her back and erased her nie fox tail flower. When he has to leave, she looked quite sad.

Moye comes to look for her and apologizes. And she lets him know she got her body back and her memories too. He’s really shooked that Alanre’s body disappeared. He feels that sometimes he doesn’t really know what is his life, what is the dream. Fengjiu says it’s because his life is related to the dream. They should find his answers as soon as possible so they can finally leave and go back to their real life.

Donghua wants to break the link between Alanre and Fengjiu. He’s using a furnace to do so, but not really sure about how he’s doing it. Complicated things about cultivation. I think he’s building something?

I find it that Fengjiu forgives a little bit too easy Donghua for everything. I know that there were many misunderstandings between them but still. I feel some development is missing. And also, I am getting a little bit confused about the whole point for Alanre’s dream. It’s weird. But oh well, I guess I need to keep watching to know.

Eternal Love of Dream - Episode 47

Donghua takes Fengjiu out, but then Fengjiu doesn’t really like being at the center of attention, so he takes her somewhere without people: the snake nest. At first she’s a little bit mad, because he knows she’s most afraid of snakes, but he actually wants to see if there is something in there he can discover to help them get out of the dream. But they can’t seem to notice anything like that.

Miao Luo came out once again. Donghua felt it and when Fengjiu asks him about it, he lies to her, saying it’s nothing. LIES ARE BAD DONGHUA. Just so you know. Not long after, she finds one of the letters sent by Su Moye and sends Donghua back to finish the magic tool as his presence is required by Moye. This is not the time to fool around! But right then, the king and queen of the Biyi Bird clan require Alanre’s presence at court. The queen inquires about the making of the sword by Shen Ye, but Fengjiu doesn’t really know anything about the progress of that so she says she’ll go check on it as soon as she goes back. But then again, the queen says she wants to go herself.

Shen Ye invites Fengjiu over at his place. While she’s heading over, Miao Luo follows her. Shen Ye tells ever since Alanre died, he stayed in the dream to recollect her soul and revive her. But then this time it’s about to waste all of his efforts. He knows Moye is the one telling her about Alanre’s past actions, so she can reenact them, but he gets really angry when she says Moye also wants to know what happened to Alanre. Because he left her behind. Then he tells her that from now on, to leave the dream, she should only listen to him, Moye knows nothing about Alanre’s choices. When he has revived her, he wants to tell Alanre he loves her and wish to never lose her again. Fengjiu promises to help him and then Miao Luo comes in. Shen Ye fights back, but meanwhile the artefact he used to collect pieces of Alanre’s soul gets broken, thus all those soul parts shatter around before all going into Fengjiu’s body which forces all of Alanre’s memories in her mind.

When Fengjiu goes willingly to dig into Alanre’s memories to know what happened. So basically, when the king died, even though he didn’t really like her, Alanre cried a lot and she wanted to help her brother, Xiangli He, to organize the funeral, but the queen rejected her. When she goes back home, Shen Ye is already gone, taking back his spot as archmage. She never hated Shen Ye, but had regrets. Not long after, she gets arrested for she is accused of murdering her father.

Donghua and Moye finishes fabricating the tool, artefact, whatever you want to name it and Moye is surprised that it’s just... a mirror? But Donghua says he did it to uncover what really happened because this mirror has the power to show them the past. Something like that. So they start having a look at it.

Eternal Love of Dream - Episode 48

Shen Ye had no idea that the queen would try to frame her own daughter Alanre like this, but he’s kind of stuck. Anybody knows though why she hates so much on Alanre? I think I missed that part. Anyways. So, Shen Ya asks the queen to make Wen Tian her goddaughter and to betroth her to him, as in his wife? Whaaaat? I absolutely don’t get what’s his plan here? I mean, even Wen Tian hates him after that, when she definitely did have a crush on him, that was just so obvious. She actually wants Shen Ye to save Alanre. Well he does have a plan to do that. What a relief... He takes Wen Tian for an outing and tells her to pretend to fall in the water so he could jump in and save her. He didn’t want to ask her outright to help him save Alanre before in case somebody would hear and in case she would actually betray him. He’s not a trusting one. So they manage to escape the guards with that little trick and Shen Ye sends a letter to Xi Ze so he can go and save Alanre.  Which he does. He didn’t give himself the letter though, so nobody would have tried to stop him.

Right when the queen sends Xiangli He to war, she’s told that Alanre has been taken away and Shen Ye looks relieved.  At Xi Ze’s place, Alanre can’t recognize the writing of the letter. Xi Ze thinks it’s most likely Shen Ye but she says it can’t be him, because it’s no his writing.  Maybe it’s her brother? Like the only person who actually likes her? But then Xi Ze tells her that he has been sent to war. Since she has nothing left, she decides to go and help him: seems like Xiangli He isn’t that great of a warrior, so she’s going to take his place and fight in his stead because otherwise, he’s going to die for sure. She tells Xi Ze that if ever she doesn’t come back alive, to tell the world she committed suicide and hide Xiangli He somewhere he could live peacefully. Well, big brother isn’t going to let his place go easily and Alanre has no other choice but to knock him out. Well, actually, Xize knocks him out for her and takes him away while Alanre pretends to be her brother on the battlefield. Since it was a trap to get rid of Xiangli He - that mother is one kind of a mother, she gets rid of all her children except for Junuo - when their army is about to lose, Alanre uses a very complicated spell, and dies from it. I guess there’s so much the body can handle.

Xi Ze goes to see Shen Ye and get Alanre’s letters back, as she asked him to do. He takes the opportunity to inform him that she died, but Shen Ye doesn’t want to believe it. When she went out on the battlefield, she already wasn’t planning to come back.

The clan holds some kind of ceremony by the river. On the other side, Shen Ye is going crazy. On orders of the queen, he gets shot, but I think he’s too angry to even feel it. He wants to die and take everyone down with him to avenge Alanre’s death. Hm... Dude, it’s partly your fault, she thought you betrayed her, just so you know. Anyways, thank god for Xi Ze who comes and stops that whole disaster by telling him of a way to bring Alanre back to life. So that’s how Alanre’s dream was created, to bring her back to life. Doing so, Shen Ye loses all of his cultivation in the process, which is also what send the fanyin valley into perpetual winter.

So the mystery is solved. Su Moye wonders from where does Shen Ye comes from, so they have a look at that through the mirror, which sends them right back to Taichen palace. Somehow, Shen Ye is related to Donghua, but how? That’s probably what next episode is going to tell us.

So now we fully understand what happened to Alanre and I must say that was extremely painful to watch. Poor girl. She was really ill fated. Her whole family hated her. She grew up raised by snakes. The guy she loved seemingly betrayed her. What could be worse? I feel very sorry for her, even though I can’t fully blame Shen Ye. He wasn’t the smartest, but in his way - wrong way - he was still trying to do what’s best. His pain on the scene by the river was sooo... I don’t know how to say it, but I could feel it. All that anger and those regrets together. That was very moving.

Eternal Love of Dream - Episode 45

Donghua decides to move in with Fengjiu. This couple is burning some steps. Anyways. Fengjiu doesn’t agree anyways, but he decided and won’t change his mind no matter what. That’s exactly at that moment that Shen  Ye decides to come to apologize but he gets really shocked seeing Fengjiu and Donghua acting all lovey-dovey and leaves without meeting her.

Donghua takes over Moye’s place to make the tool and sends him to rest for two days. Moye asks Fengjiu if anything came out with Shenye and she says nothing except for the drinking incident. She asks Moye to tell her about the rest of the story between Alanre and Shenye. She feels he’s hiding something from her. But he says he himself doesn’t know much, because he left for going home, but he still tells her what he knows.

Alanre went to pay a visit to Xi Ze hand he caught a beast so she should practice her archery skills. No matter how precisely she shoots, the beast moves way too fast. But in the end, she manages to shoot it but then trips and hurts herself. The beast is about to kill her when she’s saved by Shen Ye. Shen Ye is really mad at Xi Ze for not saving Alanre, he’s her husband he should take better care of his wife, but Xi Ze says a piece of paper doesn’t mean anything, neither for him or Alanre, plus since Shen Ye already saved her, if he came in too it would have been pointless. Then Shen Ye’s feelings for Alanre are revealed. But they could never be openly together. Then Moye left for a few years so he’s not really clear about what happened. But rumour was that Alanre killed herself on the day Junuo was banished and that she poisoned the king, he didn’t die from illness. And Shen Ye didn’t save her. Oh so basically, Alanre would have killed herself because of Shen Ye. Well, she doesn’t seem to be that kind of girl in my opinion, but okay. Makes sense that Moye doesn’t believe it.

The queen finally tells the truth to Jielv. She tells her Alanre is her little sister. Alanre’s dream is the price the Biyi Bird clan has to pay for what happened. She says that the person who created the dream used all of his spiritual energy in doing so, but this person really can’t compare with Donghua, so if he’s not coming out yet, it’s because he’s letting Fengjiu heal and is waiting for the right timing. There is no way Donghua wouldn’t be able to come out by himself.

This is getting quite complicated now... Maybe that’s one of the reasons my recaps are getting shorter and shorter? I am so focused on trying to follow the action going all over the place that I don’t have much recollection of my feelings while I was watching, perhaps except confusion? Anyways, I feel like it’s going to take like forever before we can finally get closure on Alanre’s dream and to me the story is dragging on. I am ready to move on and it’s about time. Can’t bear to see any more of this depressed Shen Ye, it makes me depressed. Every time we get one step closer to solving the mystery of Alanre’s death, we actually go further away again. So annoying...

Eternal Love of Dream - Episode 49

And that’s how Moye and Donghua realize that Shen Ye is actually Donghua’s shadow, created while he was in the mortal realm for his love trial.  And they also learn that Alanre is actually Fengjiu’s shadow, sent to serve Donghua’s shadow to pay back her debt. Conclusion is: it is impossible to bring Alanre back to life.

However, Fengjiu agrees to help Shen Ye to revive Alanre. Well she doesn’t know it’s impossible, we can’t really blame her for that. Just as she promises this, Chacha comes in to tell Alanre that the king is dying. All that’s left to happen  all happens at the same time and way too ahead of what’s supposed to. Alanre is accused of poisoning her father and Xiangli He is sent to war (a war that was plotted by the queen and what seems to be her brother).  This time around, Shen Ye saves Fengjiu-Alanre himself instead of asking Xi Ze - well this time there is no Xi Ze anyways - and he takes her to war.

So now, knowing that the only way to end the dream is for Shen Ye to end it himself, Donghua and Moye goes back to get Fengjiu only to find out that she’s gone. As soon as they heard that she went to the battle field with Shen Ye, they both get extremely worried that Shen Ye would make Fengjiu use that same spell, which is really dangerous. With reason, because he indeeds thought her how to cast the spell and of course, Miao Luo, by a very convenient coincidence, is right there, ready to get her energy stowed in Fengjiu’s body back. Fortunately, Donghua comes right in time to save Fengjiu and before taking her away, he tells Shen Ye that there’s no way to bring Alanre back to life.

Then Donghua actually takes Fengjiu away and they bump, obviously, into Miao Luo.  Little fight, blablabla. This is so dragging arrrrgggh! I know you can’t beat the big boss like, right away, but why is she popping in and out of the story like that, this is sooooo annoying!

After learning that both Alanre and him are shadows, Shen Ye goes crazy. And then commits suicide which sends him right back into Donghua’s body, but I mean... could he chose a worse timing then that? I bet not. Since Donghua is unable to fight, Miao Luo takes back that energy from Fengjiu who’s powerless to do anything. Like sometimes, she’s a badass fighter, sometimes she’s just useless. I wish for a little more consistency.

Well, at least, they are finally out of the dream. Fengjiu is extremely weak from Miaoluo’s attack and Donghua entrusts her to Lian Song while he goes to take a look to the Miao Yi Yuan which would be the place he trapped Miao Luo in. He’s not gone for a long time and is right back next to his Fengjiu.

Eternal Love of Dream - Episode 46

Since Donghua is now living Fengjiu, there won’t be a chance for the beast thing to happen, if you remember how originally how Shen Ye confessed his feelings for Alanre. Therefore, the turning point for Shen Ye to confess his feelings for Alanre won’t happen unless Fengjiu forcefully creates an opportunity.  That’s twisted, I pity very much Fengjiu for having to go through something like that. That is not nice.

To keep the timeline as close as  it is supposed to be, Fengjiu organizes a meeting between Shen Ye and Junuo. However, this time around she decides to go too, so she can satisfy her curiosity. Her coming though makes Shen Ye quite puzzled. Junuo thanks Shen Ye for saving her, but he doesn’t accept her thanks, the one she should thank is her father. The only reason is saved her is for his bloodline wouldn’t go extinct since he owes him. Junuo thought he had feelings for her, maybe a little, but he says he only came to have a little bit of fresh air, not to see her. They fight a little because of Alanre and he says that if he wants to be trapped with Alanre, it has nothing to do with her.

When they are done, Fengjiu calls Shen Ye over and offers him some tea. And while they talk, she drops tea on herself, making Shen Ye rushing to check if her hand is okay. It is, because it was only cold water and she did it on purpose. She tries to make him say that he likes her, but he won’t so she confesses instead of Alanre. It finally works, but then Donghua comes in and sees FEngjiu in Shen Ye’s arms when he got flowers and all for her... This is getting complicated, too complicated...

Then Fengjiu tells Shen Ye that she’s not Alanre and he already knows that. He asks her who she is and reight then Fengjiu sees Donghua. She rushes running after him, leaving Shen Ye back there. She really doesn’t care about him. And here I have to wonder. Does Donghua not have any trust in Fengjiu? She has been following him like a little puppy for thousands of years and would even throw herself from the top of a cliff for him - she did indeed. I think, in my humble opinion, that he should know better to trust a little bit more than that.

Shen Ye thinks about how Fengjiu blamed him for never telling Alanre that he loved her and he thinks of the past. He is pitiful, really. In the history of dramas, he’s probably one of the most miserable characters I have seen.

Donghua comes back drenched by the rain. He lies on Fengjiu’s bed and doesn’t want Fengjiu to leave him. She says to let go, she’s going to prepare hot water for a bath. For him. So he won’t catch a cold. Then, while bathing, he says he still owes her too much - true dat - so he will forgive her no matter what, that since she feels empathetic for Alanre’s story she started to fall for Shen Ye. She’s like, stop saying nonsense, so he puts his head under water and since he suddenly stopped talking, Fengjiu is worried he might have fainted and rushes in to check on him. Right then, he comes out and asks her how Shen Ye is better than him. It’s interesting here that for once, Donghua is doubting that he’s literally the best and that maybe somebody might surpasses him in some way. Must be hard on his pride. Fengjiu just answers that even the thought of comparing never crossed her mind, not like this. When she tries to leave, he pulls her into the water. I don’t know why, but I think this is disgusting. Maybe I am being childish but... he’s like naked in there, washing himself... That’s no way to treat a girl. He’s even climbing over her, this is so improper. I’m not comfortable at all with this scene. He says he thought about getting rid of Shen Ye, but it would have made her sad. So she says she likes him too much to like someone else and kisses him on the cheek. Before submerging herself in water, probably to hide that she’s embarrassed? But Fengjiu darling, that’s even worse. I am going to sound like a granny but... It’s a BATH so of course he would wear NO clothes in there. Donghua is so happy, he touches his cheek before going underwater too. I guess this was supposed to be cute? But maybe I am too perverted? I don’t know, I was uncomfortable throughout that whole scene and I hope this was classified PG13. Anyways, they end up sleeping on the same bed and here I am pretty sure they did naughty things.

Oh yep they did. Oh wow. Well. She had wanted him for thousand years. Anways, she prepares some purple sweet potato pastry as it is the tradition when a couple erm... consumes the wedding for the first time. Do you say that in English? I don’t know. If there’s a better way, let me know in the comments, always looking to improve my English. They eat sneakily so nobody would know and basically eat the same piece at the same time, Lady and the Tramp style much. That level of cheesiness though. I don’t think it matches with Donghua’s personality at all, but what stupid things one wouldn’t do out of love.

Su Moye sends a letter to Donghua so he would come back to help and finish the magic tool, since it’s in the last stages of fabrication. However, doesn’t seem like Donghua is willing to leave Fengjiu’s side anytime soon.

Eternal Love of Dream - Episode 37

Donghua keeps on healing Junuo and taking care of her.  She’s almost good now. When he leaves, Changdi follows him to tell him to attend her mother’s birthday party. She tries to diss on Alanre, but Donghua puts her right back in her place.

At the party, Donghua feels Fengjiu’s energy and stands up, looking in a hurry. He then leaves following what seems to be a maid and thus misses Fengjiu coming in with Moye. He shows her Alanre’s sisters and mother, but when she sees that Qingdian, the snake, is there too, she’s like sorry not sorry, but I am out of here, no matter how Moye tries to convince her that it would look really bad if she doesn’t attend the banquet. She still runs away and Moye ends up going by himself.

Donghua realizes that the maid isn’t Fengjiu and Changdi takes him back to the banquet. Everybody’s looking for Alanre and Moye has to make excuses for her. Did he recognize Donghua though? That part wasn’t really clear to me, but it wouldn’t make much sense if he didn’t.  I don’t know.

Anyways, in the end, Moye goes to meet with Fengjiy and tells her how come she’s already married with Xize. Basically they were bethroted to each other but never lived together. Seems like Xize was never really in his wife in that manner, so it’s only in a name wedding.

So Moye noticed that he’s Donghua. Makes sense. I mean, it’s hard not to notice, he has some really powerful aura around him.  Anyways. In order to have Fengjiu still help him investigate on Alanre’s death, he doesn’t tell her he found him already. He drinks a whole lot of alcohol, gets drunk and when he wakes up, it’s to find Fengjiu trying to hide in his room and she has to wake him up because he thinks she’s Alanre. She wants to stay at his place for the night so she doesn’t have to sleep in her room with the snake, which she’s afraid of. Of course he wouldn’t let her and he tricks her to knock her off and take her back to her own room. While he takes her back, Junuo and Changdi both see him carrying her.

Next morning, Junuo invites both Xize and Alanre for breakfast. You should see Donghua’s eyes when he sees Fengjiu coming in. Then she eats a little, bothers her sisters and leaves. Like the queen she is. Donghua follows her out. She goes to meet with Moye and asks him for help to find a way to get rid of the snake. She wants to trick him by getting somebody to wear her clothes and then pretend to be her: Qingdian can’t see really well and uses his sense of smell to find Alanre. Since she would feel bad doing that to anyone, she wants to trick Changdi into wearing her clothes. To make her come out, she plans to write a letter to her from Xize, whom she loves, so she would think he invited her on a date. And then Moye would use magic to pretend to be Xize and trick her.

Donghua bumps into Shen Ye and he is intrigued because their spiritual energy is so similar. And your face too. Just in case you forgot what you look like.

Fengjiu gets her plan to trap Changdi ready.

I am sorry, I didn’t have much to say about this episode honestly and it’s going to be short reviews for the few next ones too. A lot was happening, but in a way that it was hard to know is relevant and what isn’t, plus they talk a loooooot. So I am summarizing the whole stuff which makes it quite short. Please bear with me!

Eternal Love of Dream - Episode 36

So the episode starts with a guy looking like Donghua but with ugly hair stretching his hand out to a floating image of Fengjiu, most likely Alanre. He looks pretty sad. Okay, so this guy created Alanre’s dream to somehow revive her. So my guess is, this guy isn’t in the dream, it’s just a desperate Shen Ye looking on the dream. That would make sense.

Fengjiu can’t seem to find a way to escape from the dream but doesn’t feel in a hurry to do so since she lost all of her memories anyways.  Then it’s Alanre’s brithday and the servants bring her her favorite, a snake, but Fengjiu is the most scared of snakes so she runs away, letting her servants dazed, not really understanding what’s wrong.

In the dream, Donghua is looking for Fengjiu, but can’t find her yet. As he’s drinking, he hears people talking about the princess Junuo and a guy named Xizhe. Donghua takes Xizhe’s place in this world.

So Fengjiu use the same trick again to get Chacha to tell her a little bit more on Alanre. So basically, Alanre saved that green snake and raised it like a little brother. She also learns that she’s married to Xizhe even though it seems he’s not the man she likes. Also her sisters Junuo and Changdi always bully her. But a few days ago, when they raced horse, Junuo fell down her horse and injured herself.

Seems like that Xizhe person is good at medicine and is requested to look on Junuo’s injury. He says the injury isn’t light and he needs to care for it for half a month, so the queen, Junuo’s mother arrange for his stay at the palace. But actually, he’s not really staying because of Junuo, but rather because she’s pregnant and a baby is the best receptacle for a soul to recuperate so he thinks Fengjiu might be hiding in there.

To conquer her fear of snakes, Fengjiu goes to eat snake meat, but it makes her sick. While she runs out, she bumps into crazy hair Shen Ye - so he’s in the dream or not? - but of course she doesn’t recognize him. But since it’s raining she can’t leave and Shen Ye asks her if she doesn’t recognize him. She tries to pretend that she does, but he’s not convinced at all. And then she runs away in the rain. She tells Chacha once she’s back that if Shen Ye asks about her, just say she was busy all day long. But then, Chacha is like, why would he ask, you two have no relationship, but Fengjiu is like oh really, it doesn’t look like it with the way he was looking at me. Then Chacha tells her indeed, when they were young, but then one day he rejected her birthday gift saying she was dirty and since then they no longer were friends or whatsoever. Seems like he was siding with Junuo and Changdi into bullying her. Fengjiu thinks it must be more complicated then that, but she doesn’t insist.

The next morning when she wakes up, Chacha brings her news that her master came back and looks really excited about it. However she won’t go to meet him because she caught a cold and needs to rest. An excuse, partly. Chacha tells him so but he looks amused. Chacha tells him Alanre has been weird lately too and he goes to look on her. Obviously she doesn’t know anything about what he asks. She pours him tea but he doesn’t drink it and switches it for alcohol and offers her to drink some.  To me, it looks like it peach liquor. Then he reveals to her that she is Bai Fengjiu, the Qingqiu princess. So basically, he was called by Lian Song to come and save Fengjiu and Donghua from Alanre’s dream. Since he knew right away that Fengjiu wasn’t Alanre, she wonders what is their relationship. He says she was indeed his disciple and he saved her from the snake pit. Then because he had to leave for the West sea for two years, when he came back she was dead and the Biyi bird clan said that she died by committing suicide, but he doesn’t believe it. He asks of her to pretend to be Alanre until her death, it would be the only way to get out of the dream. He also tells her that Donghua also came to save her, but the weird thing is... he should also live a the same time and place since they came in at the same time.

And then Fengjiu faints again because of the snake and this is really going to be a problem.

Eternal Love of Dream - Episode 41

So there is something I like about Fengjiu. She’s a nice girl, but she won’t let anybody (except for Donghua) crush her down. So it is no surprise to me that she thinks “well good for her” when Junuo gets punished for her wrongdoings. But right then, Su Moye tells her she has to save Junuo, because it’s a turning point for her to leave the dream. In the past, Alanre saved Junuo because she wanted to actually save Shen Ye, whom she liked. But he didn’t like her back and blamed her when she took him in her residence.

The queen tries to beg the king to spare Junuo but he gets angry at her and forbids her to talk about it again. So seing begging her husband is useless, she goes and begs Shen Ye to help her daughter.

Fengjiu can’t bring herself to injure herself and feed her blood to the tiger sword so she would save Shen Ye. She’s really afraid of hurting. So, to avoid the pain, she prepared some chicken blood to use instead. Hahaha!  Moye’s face is just like wth are you thinking?! He snatches away that blood from her because it definitely won’t work, it needs the blood of someone related to the target. It is also so fake when they cut Junuo’s wrist, even though it’s still disgusting. Shen Ye does come out again to help Junuo. Fengjiu finally makes up her mind and goes to help them. Seems like by doing so it did something to help Miao Luo. I have to say here, I really don’t like the acting for this character, it’s like... way too forced. I know she can’t move that much but... yep it’s very unnatural. Plus the dubbing is very bad. Especially bad.

So Donghua is super unhappy at Moye for making Fengjiu go out and help Junuo and Shen Ye. He takes her away, because she’s pretty unwell from all of this, if I remember correctly - I wrote these reviews by hand since my laptop computer is dead and because of lockdown I can’t bring it to the doctor to revive it - so if I do remember correctly, she passed out from that blood feeding thing. Which wasn’t supposed to happen and leaves Shen Ye pretty confused because Alanre shouldn’t have been that weakened by that.

Just then, Miao Luo finds Fengjiu’s Snow White coffin and she extracts it out of water. Seems that this is related to the first time Fengjiu was saved by Donghua, if you remember correctly, she was by accident in the demon realm and bumped into a barrier which alerted the Mo people. Anyways, Miao Luo is taking back the energy she put into Fengjiu’s body. Donghua happens to come by right on time and puts back Fengjiu in her Snow White coffin. And starts fighting  with Miao Luo. Meanwhile, Fengjiu in Alanre’s body wakes up and finds her original body. She’s wondering how come this sleeping beauty is looking exactly like her and she she tries to touch her, she goes back right into her body.

Once again, a short review because of the many fighting scenes so I didn’t feel it was necessary to describe it in details. The story is progressing, but I still feel like it’s staggering somehow. I don’t know, I am kind of tired of the whole Miao Luo situation, it’s like... we know it’s going to play a capital role towards the end of the story but it’s dragging and dragging and I don’t feel that this fight is interesting at all. Can we just get rid of her like now?

Eternal Love of Dream - Episode 40

So my first thought as I watch this is: is Junuo in love with Shen Ye? She keeps on trying to catch his attention, but he doesn’t seem like he’s able to keep his eyes away from Fengjiu, well Alanre for him. Then he suddenly leaves, saying he has other important stuff to attend to. This guy is so weird somehow. When Changdi finishes playing her song, the queen calls out to Alanre and asks about the whereabout of Xize, but Fengjiu doesn’t know. Changdi says he went to get a medicinal herb, very dangerous to get, for Junuo. Then the queen makes fun of Alanre for not knowing where her husband is. Even more when he’s doing stuff for another one. Then Donghua ocmes back and takes Fengjiu back to her seat and help her to put on a cloak. Changdi looks pretty upset. Plus he got the herbs for Fengjiu and not Junuo.

Wasai. That Donghua somehow hahaha. When Fengjiu asks again how come he’s suddenly like this, he says he ignored her on purpose because he was jealous: the time he went to see her, she was having fun with Moye. I think Donghua might just spend the rest of his life being jealous because Fengjiu is almost always having fun and she seems to get along better with the guys than the girls. Have you notice that she has no girlfriends, except for Chengyu? And I don’t know for the Pillow book, because I didn’t read it and in the drama she looks more feminine, but at least in ten Miles of Peach Blossom, she’s described as a tomboy. But as I am almost done reading that book, I realize both stories are actually completely different and by that I mean, what happens in the first book doesn’t necessarily happens in the second one. Anyways.

Shen Ye is just so depressing. His scenes just leave me with that impression. Well I guess that’s normal at some point but... bleh. The less Shen Ye, the better.

Somebody puts something in Fengjiu’s tea. Probably the dude looking like an assassin and working for Changdi. Chacha gives her the tea and Fengjiu drinks it. With her being a princess and all, would nobody think of checking on the tea before giving it her to since it was unattended for a while? Security doesn’t seem extremely tight in there for her. But anyways. As soon as Fengjiu tries to stand up, she gets dizzy and feels unwell and then faints.

Okay, so basically, they tried to frame her into making believe that Alanre is having an affair with Su Moye. But then the person coming out of the bedroom, even though the clothes look a lot like those of Moye, is actually Donghua. Earlier, when Moye received a letter from Alanre inviting him to her room, he thought it was weird and went to Donghua because he felt it might be a trap. So now the king is very unhappy about the whole situation and Donghua takes Fengjiu to his place and then Su Moye comes. The king asks him what he’s doing here and he says he received a letter from Alanre to meet in the morning. However, since he’s the one who taught calligraphy to her, he noticed right away she didn’t write that letter and wanted to ask her about it. The king is even more angry when he gives him another letter from Changdi.

Oh wow. So now Junuo is condemned to death? I’m not sure, did I hear it correctly? But it seems the baby she’s pregnant with isn’t from Shen Ye her fiancé and the king is extremely unhappy about that. He’s even angry at Changdi his baby darling girl. This seems a little too weird and sudden. Fengjiu makes Chacha go look into it a little more. It’s Donghua’s doing. More or less. To punish them for trying to hurt Fengjiu.

Moye tells Fengjiu that Junuo isn’t actually her real sister. Well yes she is, but from a different father, which would be her uncle, the king’s brother. He always wanted to get rid of her, when he married the queen she was already pregnant and could give birth only because she begged and begged to keep her baby. So now he has an opportunity and he’s going to use it.

Eternal Love of Dream - Episode 43

Donghua called urgently for Moye and leaves Fengjiu alone. He prepared letters for her to send to Shenye, like Alanre did in the past. She’s really happy that she doesn’t need to write them herself as she hates doing that. So when her domestic comes saying that Shen Ye looks depressed (he looked like that from the very start in my opinion, he just has this sad aura about him) she hands him a letter to deliver to Shen Ye: they are supposed to cheer him up a little bit.

Donghua confesses to Moye that he likes Fengjiu and asks him about the fact that they should complete Alanre’s life before they can leave. Moye says that’s indeed his guess... Donghua wants Fengjiu to heal and then leave as soon as possible. There are too many variables that may change. He asks of Moye to find out how to het out of the dream.

Jielv begs  the Biyi Bird queen (Junuo) to reveal the secret about Alanre’s dream, but the queen says she can’t say it. She lets Jielv kneels down.

Shen Ye is doubting again and again if Fengjiu is really Alanre.

Moye comes back to get some material for Donghua’s magical tool he’s fabricating. He tells Fengjiu a little bit more about Alanre and how she loved Shen Ye without saying it. In the letters she wrote, she used the name of a female scholar residing there so Shen Ye wouldn’t know it’s her. And now Fengjiu has to make Shen Ye meet with that person, which is Wen Tian.

As in the past, Shen Ye brews his own alcohol and sends some to Alanre, well in his mind Wen Tian and since the moment came, Fengjiu orders to invite over Wen Tian. Then because she’s bored, she leaves out to buy honey. When she comes back, Wen Tian is waiting for her. She invites her to have dinner with her and ask her to keep on taking care of Shen Ye for her. Then she makes honey candy for Xize-Donghua. She also gives some - but less - to Moye and Shen Ye.

Chacha sends the candy to Donghua and Moye. Donghua is so jelly that even Moye gets his share too.

When she’s drinking the alcohol, Shen Ye sees her and asks her what alcohol is it that she’s drinking. She definitely can’t say it’s the one he gave her, so she’s a little embarrassed, but then Wen Tian comes out at the right moment and she introduces them to each other.

Shen Ye is depressed again. And I am not surprised about it. When I will see him smile, THEN I will be surprised and throw the champagne.  What Fengjiu said when she was drinking alcohol and when he confronted her about the letters was different than in the past, so he’s crying hugging that thing he has and wonders what has gone wrong for everything to be like this. Plus Alanre never knew how to make honey candy.

Donghua comes back to seduce Fengjiu with bird and flowers illusions, magic whatever it is at this point hahaha! Okay. He’s not seducing her. He’s just happy that she remembered about the candy and wants to make her smile. That’s very sweet of him, especially since Fengjiu was probably feeling very lonely all by herself.

Eternal Love of Dream - Episode 50

How many more obstacles are there between Fengjiu and Donghua? I know that without that there is not story to be told, but it’s starting to be a lot. When she wakes up, Fengjiu doesn’t remember at all who is Donghua. Is it because of the attack on her from Miao Luo? Oh... Okay.  I’m as dumb as Donghua. She was just pretending to tease him. He sends her to wash up before he takes her out of the Fanyin valley and bring her back to Qingqiu to ask her parents about their wedding. Well I don’t really think he’s planning on asking, it’s more like he’s going to say by the way, I am getting married with your daughter, just so you know, here’s your invitation to the wedding.

The Biyi bird clan decides to stay in the valley and look on the Miao Yi Yuan in Donghua’s stead. That little prince is really a nice guy. I love Jie Lv too. She wants to stay so bad with her big brother (well cousin) but he convinces her to leave so there’s still someone to take care of the clan if ever something happens TT

Moye also offers his help to Donghua, but he kind of declines. I guess he doesn’t really like Moye that much, after all he was in love with Alanre and all chumy-chumy with Fengjiu.  Probably still jelly Donghua talking.

Chiwu didn’t tell that Fengjiu is the Qingqiu princess to Xiangli Meng, however he said they’re both from the Mo clan and left it to Fengjiu to decide wether she wants to tell them her real identity. While they’re eating, Xiangli Meng is daydreaming about how princessy is the Fengjiu in his mind and when he says he would like her if she was in any other way, she decides to tell she’s Bai Fengjiu. And he gets all dramatic and surprised about it. But... it’s weird. I thought he already figured that out during the competition? I don’t understand anymore. Or did he act like he didn’t know on purpose so she wouldn’t think that he still likes her since she’s dating Donghua? Oh I don’t know... Anyways, Chiwu convinces him to confess his feelings to Fengjiu and he does, more or less, under the scary eyes of Donghua. Well, I wouldn’t bluntly tell a girl I like her when her actual boyfriend is looking at me like that. Nope. No death wishes here. That Xiangli Meng really is the cutest.

So, in hope they might come back, Donghua trapped both Shen Ye and Alanre’s souls in a plant that he plants with Fengjiu. That’s kind of cute.

The Biyi bird tribe goes to fight Miao Luo in the Miao Yi Yuan, to seal her back I believe. She calls out for Nie Chuyin’s help, but he can’t help her because of the shield Xu Yang erected around that place and unless Xu Yang dies, there’s no way to get in. Plus for his cultivation level, killing Xu Yang is like out of reach. Way out of reach. Also at that moment he tries something to weaken the barrier, Chiwu catches him in the act and he helps Xu Yang to reinforce the barried while Chuyin is sent to get the other demon lords.

With the pinpo fruit, a new body was made for Ye Qingti but because so much time went by since he actually died, if he wakes up now, he’ll be with the mentally of a toddler and to prevent that from happening, he needs for womebody willing to give him half of their cultivation. Fengjiu doesn’t hesitate to give hers away, but she’s told that now is not the right time.

The end of this drama is near, but I honestly have no idea where this is all going since it’s  dragging so muuuuuch... And I am afraid now that they will rush things out for the ending. I really wish they won’t.

Eternal Love of Dream - Episode 39

It’s Fengjiu and Moye. Fengjiu pities Alanre for being so disliked by so many people. While she was almost unconscious during the fire, she remembered a person with silver hair and purple clothes, it made her heart ache. She says that she’s a little jealous of Junuo because Xize takes such good care of her, while every time she faces hardships she’s always by herself. She feels sad for Alanre since she has nobody to love her and protect her. However she’s not any better than her. When Moye asks her if she hates him (probably talking about the guy she liked), she says she doesn’t, he’s a good person, it’s only that they aren’t meant to be. She just wish for someone that would show up for her when she faces danger. Donghua heard everything and when Fengjiu falls asleep for crying so much, he snatches her away from Moye’s arms.

When she wakes up, Donghua is by her side. He wants to take a look at her wound but she wouldn’t let him and tells him she’s Alanre and not Junuo. He gives her water, but she doesn’t want it and says she won’t say anything that happened to the king, he doesn’t need to worry for Junuo and Changdi. He asks her about the person she likes and she’s saying that she would rather not see that person again. Poor Donghua.

Donghua confronts Su Moye. He tells he came in the dream because of Lian Song. Donghua knows Moye took the place of the Moye from this world. He asks him not to reveal his identity to Fengjiu yet and entrusts her to his care while he’s going to be away in Xize’s retreat.

Lian Song even though he doesn’t know what is taking them so long believes Donghua will bring Fengjiu out safe and sound and convinces Xiangli Mengand Yan Chiwu that everything will be fine.

Moye invites Fengjiu to eat grilled fish together. But he actually doesn’t even know how to cook it, so Fengjiu has to teach him. He also got her porridge and the fish was from Donghua. Fengjiu is wondering why all of the sudden Xize cares so much about her.

The Biyi bird king is bored and Shenye suggests that they have a look at the next meteor shower with the princesses and host a banquet at the same time. The king likes this idea.

Fengjiu asks Moye if he has found Donghua yet. He lies that he haven’t. Right then Shenye comes and sees Fengjiu feeding cakes to Moye. It makes him think back of when Alanre was still a kid. He also fed her cakes. He came to invite them to the banquet organized by the king that same night. Does nobody finds it weird that Shenye and Xize looks exactly the same? I mean except for the bad wig. I mean in Eternal Love, they all took at least once Ye Hua for Mo Yuan, it’s basically the same here, no? Oh well. It’s magic hahaha.

Eternal Love of Dream - Episode 31

Hey there! It’s been a while since my last recap and I hope everyone is safe.  For many reasons I wasn’t able to keep watching, this has been a really stressful period for me as for so many other people my job is affected by the COVID-19.  In fact at the very moment I might be laid off in the next hours and it’s hard because I gave a lot during those past months, bringing people back home from around the world.  Bringing them back home to safety while I was facing the danger of getting infected and transmit the disease to my family members. I felt really depressed earlier this evening when I first heard about it, because it’s not just a job, it’s a life style, but then I thought that it’s okay.  We are all together in this and we will grow stronger from all of this.  I am going to use all that free time to do stuff I like and that includes giving more love to this tumblr of mine.  And I hope that my recaps once in a while make someone out there smile.  So everyone, please be stay safe, stay home as much as you can, this shall pass.

And now enough with my life, enough with things that worries us, let’s dig into the fantasy of the Pillow Book. I left last episode just right when Donghua is starting to feel something for Fengjiu. In the sense that he is touched that once in his absolutely long life someone doesn’t expect for him to protect them, but even jumped in to protect him.  Something very new and which makes him somewhat happy. He probably also feels less lonely. I believe Donghua must be really lonely actually, he lived for so long, is considered superior to all the other immortals from the Nine Heavens. I would feel left out too if I was him. Well anyways, that’s where we are now.  And I missed the opening theme, I love it so much. Haha. I’m like a granny, always saying the same things.

So Fengjiu and Donghua are now in a badroom and Fengjiu seems to have caught a cold. She’s calling for her mom crying and when Donghua leaves her side, she starts crying louder until he comes backs and she grabs his hand.  When she wakes up, she’s using Donghua as a pillow and she gets nervous, well probably worried that she said or did something, but Donghua just keeps reading his book like nothing weird happened. Well nothing too weird happened, but the whole situation there is weird. She’s embarrassed but still thanks him for saving her from Miao Luo’s spell/poison whatever it is. But it’s not enough to make her forget that he left her in there six months, if he didn’t, she wouldn’t have to be saved. Then she asks him why he didn’t push her away while she was sleeping, if he did, she wouldn’t have tried to “climb”on him again and he says that since she came to him of her own will for once, why would he want to push her away?

Then, when she’s about to leave, she sees a silhouette at the door: it must be Ji Heng, so she tries to hide under the blanket with Donghua and tells him to remind silent so she won’t misunderstand - right if she finds you under the blankets, she won’t misunderstand... - and he’s why would I be afraid that she misunderstands, I think you are the one misunderstanding me and he flips her on the bed as if he’s about to kiss her. Poor Fengjiu, she’s trying so hard to supress her feelings for him, well at least to hide them, and he does that.  That’s too much of a tease Donghua, spare the poor girl, but then again he doesn’t know about her feelings - how could he when she’s acting so cold to him. So he goes to get medicine for her and tells her to lie down properly so she could rest and heal faster. When he gets to the kitchen, he refuses Ji Heng’s help and she looks pretty unhappy that Donghua takes such care of Fengjiu. Jelly girl.

When Fengjiu finally comes back home, Yan Chiwu is so relieved to see her.  They both couldn’t find the pinpo fruit. Oh wow. She’s asking again love advice from Yan Chiwu. I am actually curious to see what he’s going to say. He’s my favorite love expert, definitely. Oh god. Amazing. Best explanation ever. So according to him, Donghua is doing it on purpose to make Ji Heng jealous and hurt her feelings. That’s priceless. Donghua probably doesn’t even know that Ji Heng has feelings for him and if he does, he most likely doesn’t really care about them. That’s Donghua for you.

Siming and Chengyu are thinking about Fengjiu when she was little, they remember how naive and cute she was. Once Zheyan told her that she ate peaches that would make a little baby grow inside of her. She cried so much that he ate the peaches himself to prove him that it wasn’t true and she would look at Zheyan’s belly everyday until she was convinced he wasn’t pregnant. Then Siming worries about Lian Song having his doubts about Fengjiu and also reminds Chengyu that Donghua and Fengjiu used to not have a common fate together.

Donghua pays a visit to Miao Luo. She’s like, watch out, I am about to come out and I saw your weakness, a young lady wearing white. He uses his spiritual energy to strenghten the seal and then leaves while she laughs like the mad woman she is.

Fengjiu sees Donghua coming and escapes from behind using her fox form. Yan Chiwu finally realizes she’s the fox tribe crown princess (not exactly the right term here though). So Donghua asks him how long they have shared the same house and his tells him to switch rooms with him. At first, Yan Chiwu refuses until he realizes that he would be living next to Ji Heng by doing so. And then he’s like hell yeeeeaaah! Poor Yan Chiwu... She’s never going to be yours though... I can feel it, you’re like... too naive, exactly the kind of character that never gets the girl. It breaks my heart. When he tells Ji Heng that they are going to live together, she looks so distressed, even more when he tells her that he used to live with Fengjiu, which means that now Donghua lives with her. Oops. Broken heart much.

Xiangli Meng bumps into Fengjiu and tells her that there is only one season in the Fanyin valley which is winter. It’s a remember not to talk about Alanre who liked very much spring, summer and fall before she died. It’s a taboo subject so he won’t say more. Then she asks about the box he always carries with him but he doesn’t want to tell her about it and runs away.

Fengjiu finally notices Donghua is living next door and confronts him a little bit about it. He says she now has to look after him. He kind of threatens her about letting everything out about how she planned on stealing the pinpo fruit and gets her to cook for him. While she exits, she loses balance on the door thing and Donghua magnificiently catches her in this so weird gesture. Like why is her leg so high up like a ballerina and why does his arm is lifted up like this? Is this the Nutcracker? Are they going to dance ballet? Maybe it’s supposed to look romantic. Intense exchange of looks. She notices his arm is bleeding.

Yan Chiwu is sad and drinks with Xiangli Meng. Xiangli Meng comforts him and asks him what he thinks about Donghua moving next to Fengjiu. He says it must be because Donghua likes her and that they seem to be a match. Chiwu is like so happy: when Ji Heng will be heartbroken by Fengjiu getting together with Donghua, he will be the one comforting her. He’s going to try and play the matchmaker between Fengjiu and Donghua.  Hahaha! He doesn’t need to I think.

Fengjiu brings medicine for Donghua’s wound. She’s not too happy to have to put it on for him herself and asks him how come he let himself get injured by a demon that weak, it doesn’t make sense. Did he do it on purpose to force her to keep him company? And he’s like, do I look this bored and she’s like, euh well yes. He says she seems to hold many misunderstandings against him and asks her what she’s going to do about the pinpo fruit and she says she’ll steal it next month.

The master teacher adds Fengjiu’s name on the list of participant for the competition. It’s thank to Donghua and Chiwu uses the opportunity to try to speak well of him and try to make Fengjiu fall for him. She’s like how come you suddenly don’t dislike him anymore and he’s like hahaha now that he did that for you I realized that I had many misunderstandings about him and you definitely shouldn’t refuse his friendship. And she’s like, well he did help me, let me think about it. She leaves and he hits himself because he feels bad about trying to match his friend with someone she dislikes so much.Then Jielv sees him and because of her, he realizes he was the only one not knowing that Fengjiu likes Donghua, is he stupid enough to believe it when a girl tells him she doesn’t like a guy? And then he’s like so when Ji Heng says she doesn’t like me... And she cuts him saying “no she really doesn’t like you”. That girl is priceless and so precious, I love her. She gave up on Donghua so bravely. She’s perfect.

The episode ends on the trio drinking together, like they always do. I love the three of them together, Fengjiu, Chiwu and Chiwu. They’re like the idiot trio <3

And once again, I am going to talk about the soundtrack. I really love it. I usually skip the openings and endings, but never for this one.  So beautiful **
