I’ve been using OpenUTAU for roughly a week now, and I’m getting the hang of it. I still have much to learn, though, and there’s a bunch of terminology in using UTAUloids that I find it outright overwhelming.  This is the first cover I’ve made with OpenUTAU (been mostly using it for my own compositions up to this point). I’m quite happy with the way it turned out, although I’m pretty sure there’s other folks out there who can make better OpenUTAU outputs ready to shoot me down. I’m just gonna post it here for the time being, as this is a cover song and not a「lucydream」track, so I’m not upload it on Newgrounds and SoundCloud. I’m trying to learn hwo to make a lyric video/visualizer, so it might be on YouTube, but it’s gonna take another while before I actually get any work done. -/- The song is originally in Japanese, but I translated it into English while I was bored. I only know minimal Nihongo, so instead of aiming for a literal translation, I just made it as cohesive as I can for a western audience. UTAU Spotlight: Milk

Milk’s manager and voice provider is Xepheris, and the official art is by Matsuda_Toki. 

Milk is non binary and uses they/them pronouns. They have a kuudere personality type and can seem quite cold. But they are a kind person who wants to make people happy with music! Aside for music and modeling, they work part time at a library cafe.

They have two voice banks! The first is a 6 pitch Japanese VCV. It has extras including glottal stops, end breaths, L's, breath files and end + beginning vocal fry in every pitch. The second is a 6 pitch Arpasing English bank. It has extras including glottal stops, end breaths, inhale endings, vocal fry, dx strings, zh strings + supplemental strings and breath files. My Opinion: 

I’m always happy to see non binary utau’s! Their designs are really fun and I enjoy making fanart of them. Their voice is very nice too. I’m a sucker for utau’s with vocal fry and breath files.

May 11, 2017 - A Stressful Day

I dreamt of playing Overwatch with my friends, but the map and heroes were all so different. There was a weird spider hero that I did not care for. After I got done playing, I was in my childhood home. My aunt and her new baby were staying there along with several kids that I believe we’re meant to be my cousins. I was in charge of watching them. Without telling me, they all took off in a vehicle. I tried to follow them, but the car was so crazy and futuristic with automatic driving and brakes that I could not get used to. After I got home, I got online to talk to my friend, Xepheris. We agreed to draw each other something of which I hadn’t even began. Escaping responsibilities, I went to my grandma’s house. For some strange reason, she was a serial killer. In her house laid many dead bodies that she wanted me to help dispose of. She invented a device that absorbed all the moisture out of them and then disintegrate the remains, sucking them into tiny boxes. It made me really sad to watch, so I didn’t partake in this. We then had lunch together, and my grandma was going over the fact that she didn’t like the color yellow.

Why The Hiatus Keeps happening? A mun’s update

My posts will continue to be slow. I am still present. 

This is generally an update of what’s been happening with me.

My home situation is getting worse by the day. My sister and I are no longer talking. We are in a further rift that may well be irreparable. Of course my mother’s health is getting worse, and it is very likely well ... I think after what is expected to happen, it’s just going to just explode.

I hate to say it, but there comes a time when one can no longer take the verbal and emotional abuse, cut ties, and burn bridges. Not that it is already burned. I am planning within the year or 1st half next to leave permanently. 

What is causing my delay of leaving is that I am in heavy debt as I had made horrible mistakes years ago. I wish I didn’t. I won’t go into details. This also included a time where I had to pay medical expenses directly on a credit card. I learned my lesson and that’s that. I am paying down most of it and should only be needing to pay down one credit card by end of year.

If I had no debts, I would leave immediately to someplace and immediately cut off ties.

With that said.

That Shinto Decision

I have decided that yes, I will answer The Call and actively seek out and get training as a Shinto priestess.

As a few backups, my work is well aware that I really want to work over in Japan for a time at main headquarters and is doing everything they can to find me a position and be transferred. This of course keeps my seniority and gives me extra time to get through the shrine system when possible. There are also other things that I can jump to as needed.

So here is the general plan

I am now trying to lighten my load as much as possible, pare down my possessions significantly or have them stored elsewhere safely. These things are not in any particular order.

To be stored far away: Gaming Systems, Games, and Card Collections

The main things that I have that would need to end up getting shipped over to my girl will likely be my retro game systems, their games, and (considered) our collection of Pokemon and Magic cards (along with other various TCG material). This is planned to occur on October when I come up to visit (and pick up my girl for continued travel to Japan). When finally living together, she is intending to stream video games (she does some videos already) and such for her side of the income, so to say.

To be Sold- Anything Valuable

From there, I will hate to part with it, but I will be ending up selling my Glock 19 gun, its magazines, and whatever ammunition I have because if/when I go to Japan, I will obviously have no need / ability to keep it. I will also likely sell off/given some manga and various books with the exception of Touhou Project materials (which I will keep). 

To be given away/donated:

About most of my clothing. I will keep a small amount of khakis, cargo pants, T-shirts, all cosplay outfits, and two suits. A lot of my books will be donated. 

To be destroyed

I will be consolidating as much of my data from years past to present to hard drives and cloud storage. After consolidation, old discs will be destroyed. This is with exception of games (which go to Kish for safe keeping.)

For October Return for Japan 3.0

I will be travelling to Canada to spend time for their October Thanksgiving and then will be bringing my girl with me to Japan to start to get consulted on the exact procedures to begin. Yes, I do not understand Japanese too well, but The Call is far too strong and ... surprisingly I am picking up fairly quickly than I thought. This includes both written (incl. Kanji) and spoken (though I am extremely shy). Honestly I am really scared to start asking questions, so well, that’s why Kish is coming with me to push me.

From there ...

If and when “The Calling” becomes imminent:

All remaining possessions will be taken out of the place and either be put into local storage, brought with me to Kish for safe keeping, or just brought with me. It is very likely I will be ending up giving my desktop to her mother (since I already have a gaming laptop now-- though this may happen sooner.)

I do not expect help. I just wanted to update people on what is happening and what my expected plans will be.

prom dress guide.

Surprisingly three people said yes, so here it is. This may or may not help. bahahahah. but this was helpful to me anyway.

First: price range. Set a price range. You definitely don't want to fall in love with a dress that you have no chance of getting. But if you have no limit on spending, then shooooot. Go Super Sweet Sixteen on this bitch and get the dress of your dreams. LOL. But for real, if I didn't have a price range, I'd definitely be getting that dress from Elie Saab or Vera Wang. Gaaah. But no. Price range.

Focus on what kind of dress you want. For example, I knew I didn't a strapless dress because I have no boobs. I knew I didn't want a short dress. I knew I didn't want a big poofy princess dress. I knew I didn't want a blue dress. Eliminates a lot of dresses. Just get an idea of what you want. I searched Tumblr for a long time gathering what I was looking for. Definitely searched the tag "dress" for a while and used http://fuckyeahdresses.tumblr.com/ a lot too. 

Find places to get the dresses. I personally bought my dress online, but I was super scared that it would look crazy weird on me. I was extremely happy that my dress was a bit customized--they asked for my size along with a few measurements. So if going online, that is always a plus. So going to the store and trying on dresses is something I definitely recommend. If you end up going online, BE SURE BE SURE BE SURE to read carefully. Communicate with the seller. Make sure you have an ample amount of time to receive the best. Make sure your dress will come in time. Check and verify return policies. Avoid those Chinese wholesale dress websites. Unless you're perfectly fine with a cheap-quality dress, I would not rely on those websites. You can look out for these websites by seeing their contact information--usually there's no email address to contact them by and just some number, seeing all their items marked down "for a limited time!", seeing that none of the products have their own picture--meaning the picture belongs to a different company or is a picture of a celebrity, seeing replicas of dresses for remarkably cheaper than the real. And the best way is just to google "[name of website] legit/reviews/scam."

FREAKING GOOGLE IMAGES. I figured out this is like a savior. If you find a picture of a dress you like, copy the picture url and click that little camera button at the end of the search bar and paste your url. You can find the designer and wear to buy it (AGAIN BEWARE OF WHOLESALES). Google is some kind of godly genius. Bahahah.

Be patient! Greatest advice on dress shopping from my sister: don't get a dress just because you want one, you'll regret it. Find one you really like. Trust me, it took me FOOOOREVER to find a dress. Like so long. I started worrying about getting a dress during marching band season I think--so like October or November--and I didn't order my dress until mid-February.

Semi-Hiatus due to ...

... well, it’s a long story.

I’m starting to get sick and tired of my sister taking out her anger and frustrations at me. For instance all I asked is a list of doctors so I can file my FMLA properly and try to get arrangements to do my work at home or whatever. Something went wrong and I have to re-file. Fine. Whatever. That’s how it works with mine, and she takes it out on me saying I’m not doing enough, doing whatever-- 

I already have enough stress trying to take care of my mom, while trying to keep my relationship with my S.O stable (as there’s been a lot going on and being patch ed up, the bullshit problems that Trump is doing that are going on in the States that will affect me and my family, trying to figure out a way to start getting a training or something with Suwa Taisha to become Shinto priest, and then founding a shrine in the U.S. I want to try to get this stuff done and well, taking it out on me ‘I’m not doing enough. I’m not working enough.” 

It’s getting me to the point I just cant talk to her on text. I’m going to just block her communications and demand she only talks to me in person with witnesses, because all I want is my mom to be healed and better but also fulfill what I need to do. 

I’m having to take even more medication from this stress and insanity. Xanax, lithium, Lametial, Wellburtron, Neuopropon ... or whatever they call it. So much anxiety, so much anger, so much everything. 

I hate to do this but I might soon do some ‘go fund me’ to help deal with the finances of my mom, trying to get myself stable so I can pay off certain debts, to get whatever the hell is happening, to get my mom better and mobile again (this will be upcoming after some thought and prayer).

I ask of you for you all to keep me and my family in your thoughts and prayers. No matter what following you are. All of it will be appreciated. I’m not asking anymore than that at this time until I can determine what is needed.

It’s a huge fight, and I know the kami are testing me to my limits, and I’m trying to keep everything together. I just ask Takeminakata-no-kami and Yasakatome-no-kami, and Amaterasu Okami to keep watch over me, my family, and the world. Asking of Inari O-kami to return and bring prosperity to my family and of everyone.

Regardless of what I’m personally going through, I’m still thinking of the Outside World. It’s everything that is cracking me.

But I’m trying. I’m freaking trying. Just keep me in your thoughts and prayers.
