alright, favourite boss fight? From any LoZ game, or if that's too broad, Twilight Princess.
This might be weird, but I'm not really a Boss Fight person? Like it's exciting the first go-round because you don't know what's coming, but once that's worn off it doesn't do much for me. But here's a few I enjoy for various reasons:
Goht because I like racetracks
Stallord (second half) because it's the one time the Spinner gets to shine
Gohma (Ocarina of Time) because that intro sequence is fantastic
Gohdan + Molgera for design (all the WW bosses are really well designed, imo)
Oh! Phantom Ganon (Wind Waker) because the tennis makes those sounds!
Thunderblight, cuz I get to use a lot of Bullet Time
Does boarding Vah Ruta count? I love the music and dynamism
My all time favorite is probably Dark Beast Ganon from BotW, just because its sheer size and the music and the cinematics make it feel really epic and like it's all culminated into this moment where I'm really about to free Zelda from her prison and meet her again. I know a lot of people complained that it was too easy but, like I said, I'm not really in it for the fight (spoiler alert guys, all the Zelda bosses are easy).

Linktober 2023 – Day 18. Boss
Little tribute to the first boss I ever beat in a Zelda game as a kid! This is Gohma from Wind Waker (such a good one).
My first thought for this prompt was Dark Link, but I already had a lot of OoT planned for the remaining prompts so I wanted to include more of the other games. I’ll keep him in mind for later 😏

THE WIND WAKER AHHHHHHHH I love this game SO much, ranked right below OOT and MM for my all time favorites.
One of my biggest critiques of the game is that I wish Aonuma was given the proper time to develop the game since you can tell that there should be more but a lot was cut out for time constraints. Still an incredible game but what I would give to have a full scale sequel or the full scope of the original game T^T!!!

I love this game so much holy shit. What a perfect sequel to the Hero of Time story, what a great continuation of Ganondorf's motive. I definitely wish there was more, esp dungeons and zora and towns, but this game was made pretty quick after MM and on the GC so I know there are limitations. Everything from Link, Tetra, the sound effects, the stylization, the Rito, the Koroks, Ganondorf, oh my god I absolutely adore it. Everything about it is so unique yet having the core Zelda elements within it. I also noticed how many future games took a lot of inspiration from this game, esp TP and TOTK. I also love how involved Tetra/Zelda is to the plot, Link could not have succeeded without her help, esp in the final battle and when saving Aryll. This game gives so much personality and background to Link and Tetra, every single cutscene is such a delight. This would be a super replayable game if my GC wasn't so wonky. Hopefully it'll come back to the switch. I love this game :')

On the topic of bug creature analysis, which are your favourite fictional arthropods? Not necessarily based on any existing ones just your average bug monsters if you will!
TY for the ask! My favourites tend to lean towards the silly colorful kinds, I'll exclude the Pokemon because there's a lot of em heh!
Gohma from Zelda WW as well as OoT
Mothulas (Wind Waker still) and the magtail
Also the whole metroid species is really fun, was obsessed with these guys despite never finishing a metroid game myself (pictured are diff life stages, the bloby iconic form is actually the larva). Also the luminoth are a cool race, Metroid Prime 2 has some very interesting creatures, I should play that sometime...
Eastward has A TON of fun insect enemies.
Also adding this monster hunter scarab beetle-like enemy, I have not played the game this one's from, it's a shame they aren't making more insectoid enemies...

Hookshot, Horse Call, Giant's Mask, and Red Potion
Hookshot: Favorite way to travel in any of the games
This is sorta a tie tbh, because I always loved riding on horseback in OoT, SS, and BoTW, but sailing in WW was always so relaxing with the music and everything that I have to mention that too.
Horse Call: Favorite companion character (Fi, Navi, Tatl, etc.)
This one’s a bit tougher, as I’ve only ever played Oot, TP, SS, and WW, so my knowledge of companions is limited to the ones from those four. That being said, I’ve always loved Midna. Yes, she’s a little shit at times and she rags on poor Link all the time BUT she’s an interesting character and adorable to boot and I always felt like the fandom never gave her enough credit at first.
Giant’s Mask: Favorite Boss Battle
I’m gonna be a complete nerd and go with Gohma in OoT, mainly because there’s something really impressive about beating the shit out of an evil bug thing with a wooden sword and shield xD
Red Potion: Go all offensive, or play it safe?
Okay, not gonna lie, I am a huge baby when it comes to most games. I will go the play it safe route over going full murder child 9 times outta 10. That being said, while I went that way initially with BoTW, now that I’ve actually played the game enough that I’m not terrified of everything out there trying to kill me, I have definitely changed my stance a little. It’s offensive murder boy all the way, at least as far as BoTW is considered lol
