For some people, the woods might seem a little creepy, but Eddie had never really found them so. Maybe because he'd been wandering through them ever since he'd been a kid, back before he'd been Eddie, before long hair hadn't been merely an aesthetic choice and before he'd gone to live with his uncle. Buzzing his hair off had been freeing then, a weight off his shoulders, and it had only been in the past few years that he'd felt comfortable enough with himself to let it grow out once more.

Sprawling across the picnic bench on his back, he debated lighting a cigarette, dark eyes idly tracing the criss-crossing branches over his head. The sound of twigs snapping had him pause, craning his neck back a little to peer upside down at whoever was disturbing him.

He pulls a shaky hand back to see red on his fingertips. So he is bleeding after all. Maybe this encounter is a dream, a side effect of some demobat head injury. “Chrissy?” He whispers, stepping towards her. He places a hand on her shoulder as if to confirm she’s real.

“Is that you--Chrissy how long have you been here?” He demands.

it was something she needed to hear, ESPECIALLY after the fight they’d had. it had been their first SERIOUS fight as a couple, and she really thought it was OVER. then the hospital… BOTH of them had been in trouble and nearly DIED because of those THINGS. and to think those things had been their FORMER BOSSES? they just MELTED, and morphed into that creature of bones and flesh. the demogorgon, the demodogs? they DULL in comparison to what they saw tonight.

forehead rests against his, and she closes her eyes. ❝ i’m sorry… about everything. i was so caught up in my OWN story that i didn’t even think about what it would mean for you. and then what just happened… i’m just GLAD we’re all alive. ❞ however, nancy knows this moment of bliss would be short lived. why? they were about to have ANOTHER fight on their hands, probably the BIGGEST they’d ever had to face since the upside down was opened.

Immediately, her mind went to the worst case scenario. Quickly, Katie tried to shake it off and nodded, grabbing her best friend’s hand and squeezing it. “Okay. Let’s go.” She started to gently pull Alexa through the crowd of people. Once they were out of there, just the two of them, Katie let go of her hand. “What’s going on? Are you feeling okay?”
