can i just say that i love how every time i post etho art he gets gendered like five different ways in the tags

love the time-honored annual tumblr tradition of seeing "Happy New Year" posts on the dash ranging from this year all the way back to like 2000

in one, two, three moments he finds himself next to an entity which is unlike any other. first contact. those missions excited him and this was one such encounter. but this was random chance. he is sat next to something far older than the galaxy itself. something which could smite them in a matter of moments. something unsettling. something which was unlike anything that Jim's human mind can comprehend. he feels the hairs upon the back of his neck stand at end. he draws in a breath and holds it slightly longer then necessary. he is uneasy around this entity which now inserted itself upon the bridge as if it was meant to be there. even more strange than a smiling Vulcan ----- this entity was unknown. it was the true unknown of the galaxy. incomprehensible in knowledge and dressed as a human save for the clawed hand and subtle features which gave way that this was nothing human.
