I didn't feel like coming up with a whole new title, so the new series is simply Fallen Stars: Reality and Recovery. Lazy? Yes. Do I get to use the same tags as before and add literally no creativity? Also yes. The first chapter will be short, as expected.
This little spin-off series will primarily be used for my own entertainment and likely won't be updated too often. If you'd rather consider this work non-canon to the original storyline, I don't blame ya. Enjoy part 1

Furnoss found himself awake in bed. A digital clock nearby sat on his nightstand, displaying how late in the night it was as if it questioned him as to why he had woken up. The answer made itself known. In the hallway, something passed his door. The wooden floor creaked, a soft clicking of claws against it with every step, growing faint as it taveled farther down the hallway.
Furnoss rose from his slumber, preparing himself to come face-to-face with the intruder. He left his room, listening carefully as the sound echoed off the walls and followed to a single room. The unknown creature was in the bathroom, throwing their towels and cleaning supplies onto the floor. The fire monster reached for the light switch, preparing to defend his home. Finally, with a small click..
Hornacle sat within the sink, pushing off toothbrushes and face wash from the counter surrounding it. They played in the running water, leaving quite the mess behind and even splashing at Furnoss a few times.
"Why and how are you awake? You scared me, Hornacle! I almost turned you into a surf and turf platter!"
Taking one of the many fallen towels, Furnoss scooped the little monster from their game and wiped them clean. They weren't exactly the biggest fan, having their fun cut short, but at least they would go do bed without toothpaste all over them.
"That's enough mischief for one night, yeah? Maybe a whole week, too. Let's get you back to bed before anyone else decides to join."
Hornacle climbed over the elder monsters shoulders, snapping their claw at the sink with an annoyed fit. Thankfully, they were too young to cause much of a fight. Back to bed they go!
The kids, once again, chose to share a room. Furnoss couldn't help but think their reasoning was due to them being afraid. After all, the group had been moving from island to island with no real sense of direct. Even Torrt, the most outgoing lf the bunch, had been a bit shy. Still, they were young, and perhaps they'd grow out of it. With a short story and tucked in blanket, the celestial of water fell back to sleep among their friends.
The night fell still. Even with the knowledge that everyone was their rooms asleep, it felt empty. Maybe because it didn't feel like a home. This house was temporary, only being used to keep themselves secret and to be closer to the hospital until Attmoz and Glaishur were well enough to leave. Furnoss planned to talk to the two and Syncopite to help choose a forever home, no longer trusting himself to make any decisions.
He was riddled with the thoughts of the unknown. The few times they had been seen by other monsters went precisely as he had expected for it to: with fear, confusion, and maybe a bit of doubt. They stuck out like roses among weeds, gods among men.
Whatever they are to face, he's willing to take the challenges head-on.
ֶ֢︶︶֪︶︶֪︶︶֪︶︶֪︶ིྀ︶︶֪︶︶֪︶︶֪︶︶֪︶
"Don'cha think this is a bit mean?"
Glaishur kneeled behind the edge of a curtain, looking around the corner and to the door. Attmoz poked his head out above his friends, waiting for someone to fall into his trap. He had set his newly made air guitar on the floor, invisible to most every monster except for himself, in the hopes of getting a bit of payback. Viola's comments must have gotten to the air monster, considering she was his main target.
"She said it herself - she's a bad monster."
"But a good doctor!" Glaishur pointed out, "She's just doing her job!"
"She joked about you dying during surgery. It's either this or I take a couple of her limbs."
"Attmoz!"
"Shh, she has plenty. We're in a hospital, anyway."
A sudden knock at the door silenced them. It swung open, revealing a rare Furcorn and lavender-colored bowgart.
"Glaishur!" The Furcorn called, "It's time for your med -"
They fell directly onto their face, the flower on the end of her headstalk leaving an imprint of its petals on the floor.
"Get fucked," Viola laughed. She immediately fell into the same trap.
"Ugh, son of a bitch!" The Bowgart rose, ripping the curtain aside. "Funny, real funny!"
Attmoz rolled on his back, wheezing with laughter while Glaishur fiddled with his hands awkwardly.
"Which of you did this?" Flower demanded an answer. Glaishur pointed directly to his friend.
"Oh nice, real nice. Hey, so who was it that broke the beds remote?"
Glaishur continued pointing at Attmoz, only now with his eye narrowed.
"Ok, well, it was a two-monster job!"
Dusting herself off, Viola pulled her clean white jacket back over her shoulders and fixed her clipboard.
"Well, on the bright side for both of us, this monster with a head full of nothing will be able to leave later today. You'll be given a small list of over-the-counter medications that are best recommended, a quick change of bandages, and hopefully a more respectable personality."
The two Celestials gave one another an excited look, a small high-five to accompany it. They were going home!
"Um, Glaishur?" Flower moved closer, a tad bit shy. "Only Attmoz."
"Oh. Right.. Right. I-I knew that, you told me before."
Glaishur hated the fact that he forgets so easily more than ever right now. Still, he forced a smile for Attmoz. At least one of them got to leave, and he would rather it be Attmoz anyway.
"I plan on checking vitals first," Viola continued, "and make sure whatever is supposed to be working is working. Furnoss has been contacted already, so he should be here soon."
"You really want me outta here, don't ya?" Attmoz teased.
"Correct," the doctor dropped her papers back onto the clipboard. "Let's get to that, yes?"
She turned, tripping over air once again. Attmoz followed behind, giving Glaishur a quick grin for a bit of reassurance. Flower stood behind, leading the cold monster back to his bed and making sure to get rid of the tripping hazard.
"Here," She spoke softly, "I'm not supposed to give this to you until after you take your medicine, but I don't think it'll hurt."
The Furcorn offered Glaishur a small candy - taffy, to be exact.
"Just be sure to brush your teeth afterward, yeah?"
The purple monster couldn't help but grin, nodding in agreement. He would see everyone again eventually. They told him his stay wouldn't be too long, especially considering how fast celestials heal. Besides, it wasn't all too bad knowing that, in the least, he'd still have Flower. Viola's a different story.
"Get some rest," She spoke again, "I'll be bringing more of.. whatever medicines I dropped."
"Heh, sorry 'bout that. Been a bit since we've done something like this. Maybe we should keep it that way."
Soon, Glaishur was alone. He'd be moving to a different location soon to make room for more important patients. He hopes his request for privacy will be met. He'd never admit that it was solely because of the number of bald and scarred patches his body had now.
In a week's time, he'd be free. Exploring a new and hopefully final island. Finding a home, living the life he had only ever dreamed of. He could only hope that everything he had done to himself and others would be enough. He didn't want anymore fighting, anymore running. Anymore crying. He wanted to go home to the kids, to Furnoss, to Syncopite. To Attmoz.

Not Who You Think I Am Part 4
Summary: You make a few changes to your deal with Fisk while Kate plans a long and overdue date night
Tumblr media
"No more tracksuits" You said crossing your arms over your chest
Wilson Fisk didn't answer you immediately instead he kept his relaxed position leaning back in his chair. He acted like he didn't have a care in the world. When oddly it was him who sent you a text around nine this morning demanding your presence. He said he wanted to discuss a serious matter. You figured it had something to do with most of Tracksuit Mafia being arrested two days ago.
Being true to her word Kate had called the cops and gave them the location to the warehouse. You knew it wouldn't take long for Fisk to get word of it, and decided that you wanted some peace before the storm. So you acted as if nothing had happened and enjoyed a lazy day in bed with Kate.
After everything that had went down she wasn't too keen without letting you out of her sight. The next day either so you didn't protest when she asked that you tag along with her to Bishop Security. Even though her mother had attempted to freeze her out of the company. The board of the advisors were able to pull some strings, and prevent Eleanor from forcing her daughter out of the job. While no at the company was a huge fan of Eleanor and her ties to the criminal world. They loved Kate and she was good at her job, and it was still a family business. The two days without having to worry illegal shipment of weapons, drugs, and who knows what else. While also trying to keep your identity from your vigilante girlfriend were blissful and went by way too fast.
But the two days away from all the chaos did give you sometime to clear your head and really think. Leading you to come to one conclusion the remainder of the Tracksuit mafia had to go. Which is the first thing you wanted to discuss with the big boss.
Finally after just sitting there in silence Fisk leaned forward in his chair folding his hands together on top of his desk. "Now why would I agree to that?" He asked his face nor his voice showing any signs of emotion.
You let out a sigh "if you don't I will walk."
The veins in his hands became visible as he flexed his hands. "We had a deal y/n or did you forget? You lead the Tracksuits as they finish handling all business affairs I had with them, and only after that do I leave you alone for good. It would not be wise for you to go back on your word with me. You don't need me to tell what would happen if you did."
You took a deep breath and slowly released it doing your best to keep your cool. Your hand was itching to pull your sword free, and just bully him into your new terms. But he was a business man so you would just negotiate. "Your Tracksuits are idiots no offense Fisk" you told him taking a seat in one of the chairs. "They got caught because of their own stupidity."
"I heard they got caught because you aided Kate Bishop in her escape. After they managed to successfully capture her and were planning to finally dispose of her properly."
It took everything in you not to reach across the desk to punch him. For some reason he had no bodyguards in this room with him, maybe he thought you weren't a threat. It would be his mistake. "Kate Bishop is practically an Avenger now, and just because they don't seem like the unified threat. They were before some of died fighting Thanos, some decided to explore space, and the others scattered. That doesn't mean they aren't still keeping tabs on each other. Do you really want to fall on their radar in your current condition? I thought that's why you wanted all of this handled in discreet."
Fisk looked as if he wanted to argue but you had a made the perfect point. His vision still hadn't returned to him even though the doctors promised. The damage done to his brain which was causing the blindness wasn't permanent, and eventually his eyesight should recover. The bandage wrapped around his head covering his eyes was the indicator of the injury, and why he was still in hiding. "Fine you make a good point but still if she insists on interfering in my affairs-
He couldn't see it but he definitely felt the breeze of your sword being whipped from the scabbard, and the tip of it resting on his neck. He stopped talking and swallowed hard. "What are you doing?"
"Making myself clear I can handle Kate Bishop and I will finish the job, but if I get to ride solo from now on. Your little lackeys are holding me back, and I don't need a babysitter. I know you don't trust me Fisk and I get it, because I don't trust either. But we don't need to trust each other to get this done. I'm on your only life line here to get this done, and you won't give me any peace until the job is complete. So let's just trust those two reasons are enough and neither will betray the other."
Fisk gave you a small nod to show his agreement, and you pulled your sword away to sheath it. "I'm glad we understand each other now."
"Just one more thing y/n"
You were getting ready to leave but paused with your hand on the doorknob. You looked over your shoulder at him, and even though his eyes were covered. He still managed to have a murderous expression. "If you fail me I will take away everything and everyone you care about, and leave you alive to suffer with the knowledge you caused it."
"I understand" You told him through gritted teeth before leaving the office. Not caring to hear his response.
Home
The apartment was a thirty minute drive away from Fisk's location, but you were so anxious to have Kate back in your sights. After Wilson's threat you made the drive in ten minutes, and while there might be some traffic tickets in the mail for you. A week or so from now it was all worth it when you walked into your shared apartment, and found Kate whipping up some breakfast with music playing in the background. She shook her hips to rhythm of the song while flipping pancakes into the air. And not just any pancakes but dinosaur shaped ones. Your favorite type of pancakes.
When she first found out about the joy that any animal or monster shaped pancakes brought you. She teased you about it but would always make them on a special occasion or whenever you were down. And even though Kate never said it you knew she was obsessed with the way your eyes would light up, and how giddy your behavior came. It was like you were a little kid instead an adult in her early twenties working at a dojo.
Even after the tense meeting with Fisk you still couldn't fight that feeling either. All of your worries were washed away as you ran up behind Kate and wrapped your arms around her middle. She let out a squeal as you planted sloppy kisses all of her cheek, and her neck scrunched up. When you trailed down knowing the kisses would get leave a ticklish trail.
"he-hey c-cut it ou-out y/n before I burn the pancakes" Kate giggled
"I love you Katie-bear you know that right." You replied pulling away to let her focus.
"Yes I know and I love you too and I plan on showing you just how much today."
You let her take all the pancakes out and stack them on a plate before turning her around in your arms. She wounded her arms around your neck in return and leaned in for a real kiss.
"I'm sorry I left without saying anything this morning had to handle some business at the dojo." You said when the kiss was finally broken.
"Its okay I hope the business was canceling any scheduled appointments. You belong to me today."
"Oh I do now" You teased with a raised eyebrow.
"Yeah I hope so I mean I feel like I've been neglecting you lat-"
You cut her off with a peck. "It hasn't been just you Kate I haven't exactly been girlfriend of the year lately either."
"Well find then we both owe each other so today you're mine for all the epic plans I made for us" she asked again.
"Okay but after pancakes right" You asked with a childlike expression as your attention turned to the plate.
"You're not going to wait for the bacon or eggs" Kate asked with a grin.
You shook your head breaking out of her embrace and grabbing the plate off the counter. With no hesitation you took a Stegosaurus pancake in your hand and proceeded to take a huge bite out of it. There was a unexpected chocolatey taste to it that melted in your mouth, and made you do a little jump. "You put chocolate chips in these."
Kate nodded watching withe glee as you scarfed the pancake down. "Hey make sure you save me some pancake monster."
"No way too delicious to share."
"I cooked them" she exclaimed.
You shrugged and took off running as Kate gave chase. In the end you did indeed end up sharing once she tackled you onto the couch. Somehow you managed to keep the pancakes from falling over, but it made it easier for her to wrestle you onto your stomach to pin you. Kate snatched the plate away from you, but did feed you your equal share. Afterwards she told you to dress in something casual and meet her outside.
You threw on some blue jeans, a white shirt with one of her purple sweatshirts, and some white sneakers. It was common practice for the two of you steal each other's clothes. So Kate didn't mind at all and had taken one of your jackets already. The date started with a car ride to an ice skating rink. Even though it wasn't really her thing you were a pro at it, and loved to do it. Because she was so busy taking down the Tracksuit Mafia during Christmas. Kate missed the tradition where you and her would go iceskating in Times Square, and this was before you were aware of everything. So you were genuinely upset with her.
"You know you didn't have to make up for not going with me last year right. I forgave you" You reminded her.
"I know but I wanted too plus I thought maybe you could show me some moves?" Kate explained holding a pair of ice skates of her own.
The smile on your face got even wider, and you gave her nod. Once both of you were suited up you wasted no time in pulling her out onto the sheet of ice. Kate immediately wrapped her arms around your neck insisting for you not to let go. You didn't and thirty minutes later y'all were skating side by side holding hands and laughing.
Everything went right that day after the rink Kate took you by an archery range. This time she was the one teaching you something, and even though you didn't hit the bullseye. You didn't mind having her arms constantly around you showing how to hold the bow and aim. Next on her list was a doggy date with Lucky in the park he ran around free. While the two of you just sat on the bench and watched until he made the two of you get up, and take turns throwing a frisbee. A delivery guy brought food from a restaurant both of you loved, and you ate at lunch table. The day came to an end at a jewelry store and this stop really caught you off guard. So much you hesitated even when Kate beckoned you forward.
"Kate you promised me no super expensive jewelry. I can't exactly return the favor" You protested.
Kate let out a exasperated sigh. "Its not super expensive I promise just come look at it before turning it down please."
You gave in letting her lead you inside. There was a row of display cases on the right side filled with diamond rings, diamond studs, and diamond necklaces. In the lobby part was some single displays that held some more fancy pieces. You gawked at the sight of them and also the price
"It isn't one of those" Kate reassured you taking your hand to lead you over to a well-dressed man. "It came in today right?"
"Yes Ms.Bishop the necklace did and I hope it doesn't disappoint." He said pulling out a long black box, and opened the top.
In it was a heart charm necklace with tiny amethyst stones embedded in the heart, and a sliver arrow shooting through. It had simple silver chain.
"Its perfect and my payment went through online already" she confirmed.
The man nodded pushing it towards her. "Its all yours."
"Great thanks Ben." Kate stuffed the necklace in her jacket pocket, and led you out of the store. You were slightly confused but stayed quiet as y'all began walking back home. One of your neighbors were waiting outside for you. A nice elderly lady two doors down from y'all. She would dog sit Lucky from time to time when both of you got caught up with work.
"She's going to take Lucky up" Kate explained. "I got one more thing to show you."
"Katie you're making it really hard for me to outdo on the next date" You complained.
"Come on you love how competitive I can be" she snorted leading you to back of the building.
The two of you went in through a back door that led to some stairs. Even though you didn't really feel like climbing ten flight of stairs. When she made a game out of it seeing who could reach the top first. You were game beating her by pinning her to the wall on the sixth flight, and distracting her with a heated make out session. When you pulled away and dashed the rest of the way. She was still leaning back against the wall in flustered state.
The sight at the top of the run made you stop though and revel in its beauty. The sun was just starting to set and mixed in with all of the other tall buildings was a ray of colors. There was a blanket laid out right in the middle, and a few seconds later. Kate was nudging you in its direction revealing her true intentions. The two of you ended up on resting on the blanket with your head using her stomach as a pillow. One of her hands played with her hair while other held one of your hands.
"This was the perfect day thank you for that" You whispered knowing she would hear.
"You deserved it and it was needed. I've been thinking a lot about that night you came home. All worried about losing me and stuff" She felt your body stiffened. "It just made me realize y/n that I couldn't handle losing you either. This my sound corny but you're my home and without you I would surely be lost."
You pulled yourself up into a sitting position at those words to gaze back at her. Your heart pounding in your chest as she did the same while digging the necklace out. "I got you this to kinda represent that you know the arrow will always guide me back home to your heart. If that makes any sense I'm pretty sure its som-" Her rambling was cut off as you leaned over to press your lips to hers. She returned the kiss with just as much passion while still managing too hook the necklace around your neck. After that her hands cupped your face as you moved in closer to press feverish kiss along her jaw and neck.
"I love you Katie and you have been my home since day one. When I met you and nothing will ever tear us apart I promise" You swore in between kisses.
She guided your lips back to hers for another lip lock before pulling back to look you in the eyes. "I don't know if you don't finish what you started in the stairwell. I might be inclined to disagree babygirl." A moan slipped from your throat as you pushed her back onto the blanket.
There was only one last wish left on your lips but you kept it to yourself. You wanted this moment to last forever, but moments like this were so rare and few.
Not to mention perfect and nothing so perfect could last forever, but gosh did you wish for it every night.

“Beach day“
Summary: Morgan gets tired about the teams reaction to Spencer having a bad day.
Prompt: "You are nothing but a burden"
Relevant Tags: Autistic Spencer Reid
Pairing: Derek Morgan/Spencer Reid
Word Count:1409
Morgan isn't sure what exactly is causing Spencer's behaviour when he is like this. One part could be nervousness or maybe that he under stimulated or maybe even just bored the hell out with that brain of his but sometimes he just can't hold onto one thought always moving and doing things with his hands, always talking.
He doesn't mind, he will just help him to focus, and try finding the problem. What he minds is the teams attitude about it.
"Spencer quiet." Hotch snaps.
"Spencer quiet. Spencer quiet." He repeats until the words find a meaning in his brain and he shuts up but not even half a minute later he is humming to himself and not long after that he picks the talking up again.
"Okay here are your things." JJ collects the files and then places them in Spencer's arm. "And over there is a free desk, have fun."
"Have fun?" Confused he looks at the files in his hands.
"That means you are working from now on over there."
"Alone?"
"Yes alone." She tells him but Morgan corrects her.
"I am coming with you."
"Sweet" Morgan sends them a warning look and then follows him over to the small table on the other side of the precincts bullpen. Letting him talk, he doesn't listen but he will just ignore it and sometimes tap on the file in front of Reid to remind him to keep working. "I am bored."
"You have a lot of work to do kid."
"But it's boring."
"You are the only person that would call this boring."
"I need something to do."
"You have something to do."
"No it's not enough." He starts hitting his head and Morgan evaluates his options while the team and a few officer eye them. "It's boring. It's boring." Morgan pulls out his phone, plugging in headphones and starts playing music for him and then points at the file again and for a bit it works until all of them are in the conference room again discussing the evidence they have and Reid is biting down on his finger making Morgan wince in sympathy and he can tell that Spencer is slowly getting frustrated.
"Reid please stop that." Hotch orders but he just shakes his hand so Hotch reaches up to pull the hand out of his mouth. "It's disgusting."
Hurt Spencer looks down now biting on his lip while Morgan bites back the urge to just take their stuff and leave.
"What did you find out?"
"The first victim was part of a dance group. We called and their said they are actually four groups. Turns out every victim was in one of this groups. The fifth in one at the same building."
"And Reid?" Hotch questions and he doesn't answer. "Reid what did you find out?"
"Reid what did you find out? The victim takes part in a dance group parted in four smaller groups. Each victim-"
"Morgan told us that already. What did you find out?"
"The victim takes part in a dance-"
"Reid. What did you find out while looking at the classes?" He repeats.
"The victim takes part in a dance class. Decided-" he speaks louder and Hotch interrupts him again.
"You two have been over there for nearly two hours. This can't be all."
"I can't concentrate." He complains.
"You are nothing but a burden right now. I gave you a simple past and you managed to not only not finish it you also slowed Morgan down with you."
"Hotch it's not his fault." Morgan steps in defending his boyfriend.
"He slows us down. He can go." Hotch turns back to Reid. "I don't want to see you here until this is better."
"Are you serious?"
"Yes"
"Then you are two agents down." Morgan throws the file in his hands onto the table.
"You leave now you are off the case."
"Alright." He keeps walking out of the room behind Spencer who is back to chewing on his finger, biting down on the bone wanting it to hurt but it doesn't hurt enough and he can't bite down hard enough. "Hey don't,it's okay, you are okay." Morgan stops him in front of the precinct, grabbing into his pocket and pulling a chewie out replacing it with his finger and he starts hitting his thigh with his free hand.
"I am not lazy"
"I know."
"I can't concentrate. And I have this weird nervous buzzling feeling in my arms and it won't go."
"I am sorry."
"Make it go."
"I don't know how." Apologetic he looks at Spencer and then pulls him in a hug, holding him as tight as he can. "This good?"
"Yes."
"So we are just gonna hug until it's gone?"
"Yes."
"Come on, we walk down to the beach, if we get kicked off the case might as well see something from the city they paid us to fly to."
"I don't think this is what Hotch intended."
"As much as I respect him - this decision was bullshit. It wasn't your fault and he didn't have any right calling you what he did." They walk for a not long until they can see the sea and walk down the steps into the send and Morgan sits down first,Spencer between his legs leaning against his chest and the older man wraps his arms around him while Spencer plays with the sand.
"We need to wash our hands after that. The bacteria on beaches us quite terrifying."
"We will do that." He hold him a little bit tighter, resting his head on his shoulder watching the sea and sometimes Spencer's hand letting the sand fall from one hand into the other. "You never were at the beach were you?"
"No"
"What do you think?"
"It's nice."
"Do you feel better?"
"Yes. Your hug helps." Hotch finds them there in the evening, Morgan laying on his back watching the sky while Spencer is eating fries from the snack hall on the street behind them. "Hey Hotch" Morgan looks aside not having seen his boss.
"I see you found yourself a nice place."
"I never have been to the beach. I like it here."
"I am glad you do." Sceptical Morgan sits up and Hotch can read the despite on his face. "I have to apologise. What I said earlier what out of the line and I know of course that it is not your fault and that if I send you home for something like this, you can't be alone and need Morgan. You two should not be punished for that."
"We weren't. We spend the day here. That was nice." Spencer tells his with a innocent smile eating another fries. "Besides I am pretty sure the dance thing was the reason why you catched the unsub."
"How do you know we catched him?"
"You wouldn't be at a beach otherwise."
"Well you are right with that. We will leave in two hours." When they walk onto the plane, sitting down next to each other, Spencer watching something on Morgan's phone with the headphones in, while eating candy that is hard to chew, Hotch realizes even more how much he fucked up and how much that was out of Spencer's control.
"What is he watching?" Dave asks gesturing to him.
"Doctor who. I don't know how often someone can watch the same show over and over again but we are currently in Season nine. Again."
"It seems to do real work."
"Oh it does if I meet that person that decided to do a new version. I can't guarantee that I won't marry them on the spot." Hotch chuckles ones. "Seriously sometimes it's out of his hands and my hand to know what is wrong and you can't expect him to handle things the same. He is not being lazy not being a distraction on purpose. If he could he would just do his work in quiet and deliver. And insulting him for it is even worse."
"I am sorry,it was a stressful day-"
"Image I would start insulting him everytime I have a stressful day and he is under or over stimulated and not doing things the same as every other person in the room. You would call me out on that and you would end it. He thinks highly of you and when you say stuff like that it matters just as much to him."
