lookin’ for trouble

A mix of organized chaos.

That’s what Baz reminds you of as you watch him circle back and forth on the stage that Austin is standing on as everyone prepares themselves to shoot the Trouble performance scene. As an extra, you don’t have many responsibilities except facial expressions…which honestly shouldn’t be too difficult given Austin’s sheer talent as Elvis. The way he moves his body and delivers his lines is just…art, there’s no other word for it. He completely gives himself over to performing and it’s hard not to get caught right up in it.

Anything going on with your face is completely genuine.

You know the general layout for the scene, feeling a bit cramped as you stand right up against the stage, several other extras behind you. Once the music begins and Austin starts performing, the crowd gets more and more rowdy, pushing you right into the stage edge. It’s not comfortable and kind of eats away at your claustrophobia but there’s a purpose here to almost throw yourself over the divide, to try and get closer and closer to Austin as he becomes more lewd in his movements.

Curling your hair around your ear, you wait patiently as Baz gives feedback to Austin about his last performance and then finally gives some direction about what he can do with the extras. The thing about Austin is that he definitely listens, takes notes, but when he’s fully into performing? There’s not too much of a script he follows. He keys in on Presley movements but he also adlibs according to the crowd’s reactions.

It's so incredible to see up close.

You’ve spoken with him a few offhanded times while participating in some scenes and Austin has always been extremely generous with his time. He doesn’t have to talk with any of the extras if he doesn’t want to—and yet he always does. He goes beyond just scene conversations—he asks names, how they’re doing, where they’re from, so on and so forth. It makes it really easy to work with him, even though you’re not as upper level as a co-star.

Austin stands in front of the mic, working his shoulders back a little and loosening his body movements. There are a few moments where he sways back and forth with his hips, humming a few of the lines he’s eventually going to sing. While others prepare for the shot, he skims the crowd before his eyes fall on you.

Your heart plummets straight into your belly because your gazes definitely connect, a small smile tugging the corners of your mouth. The way he’s dressed reaches straight into your chest and squeezes, a heated ache so easily between your legs that it’s hard to shake. He’s made for this role, that very much is certain. The black suit adds a darkness to his blue eyes, like the deep ocean, charcoal makeup gently sitting underneath. His socks match his cherry red tie, a pop of color that somehow comes directly for your throat and—suddenly he’s moving, crouching down in front of you.

“Y/N, right?”

He remembers your name and you nod, taking a step closer as you put your hand on the stage, “Yeah, hi.”

“Hey,” Some strands of his hair hang loose over his forehead, “I know Baz has talked to all the extras about performances bein’ unplanned but uh, I was wonderin’ if it was alright if I touched you—maybe clasped at your face. I just didn’t want you to be surprised—”

“No, that’s fine.” You answer quickly, far too quickly, your cheeks kissing pink at the realization.

He smiles slowly, amusement swimming in his blue eyes as he takes you in. There’s a definite moment where his gaze finds your lips and that seems wildly unfair.

You clear your throat, shaking your head. “I mean—whatever you need to do, that’s fine. I get it—bein’ in the moment and everything.”

“Okay,” He laughs lightly, “Good.” Austin turns his attention towards someone saying his name and gets up from his position on the stage.

You squeeze your eyes shut and mentally kick yourself at sounding so utterly ridiculous. Honestly, it’s nice that he even asked—he didn’t have to. When you were hired for this thing you went through all the hoops with Baz that Austin often performed by reacting to the audience. That made some of his movements unscripted.

But now there’s this ridiculous anticipation heated like fire in your belly as the set quiets, getting ready to call action. Which, this has to be exactly on brand with what the scene calls for, seeing Elvis walk onto stage, wondering what version of himself he’s going to be. That eagerness about how you’re not quite sure what you’re about to see, but you already know it’s going to be amazing.

And Austin nothing short of delivers.

A sharp breath leaves your body as the music plays back, a hearty thump of sound—

“If you’re lookin’ for trouble—you came to the right place.”

The crowd’s reactions are a slow boil, like a covered tea kettle in which pressure and heat builds and builds until it begins to whistle. Watching Austin on stage move his body to the music as he sings has got to be one of the easiest things to react to. There’s a fluidity to his body, like the rhythm and lyrics move through him while he performs. It’s addictive, hard to tear your eyes away, attempting to absorb absolutely every part. Not to mention that your body is reacting to his, hips slowly swiveling to the beat, heart hammering in your ears, palms sweating.

It's almost hard to remember that your reaction to him shouldn’t be internalized, even though it’s hard not to feel completely overwhelmed in this environment. You let out a short breath, taking a step forward and beginning to work past the guards creating a barrier, reaching out, knowing he’s only going to get closer.

“But if you’re gonna start a rumble, don’t you try it out alone!”

You audibly gasp even though you’re in good company around you in terms of sound, one hand resting on your chest while the other covers your mouth. As much as you’ve seen Austin perform, nothing prepares you for when he rocks back on the toes of his feet and lands directly on his knees, along the edge of the stage, slowly thrusting his hips forward as he sings the line,

“Because I’m evil.”

Your eyes widen automatically and you’re suddenly very glad that the background noise is so loud that no one hears the very obvious moan leaving your lips. Your gaze travels from his legs to his torso, right up to his face and he’s staring at you. Your hand falls from your mouth; Austin is not at all gentle as he leans forward and grabs at your chin, holding you close and in place as he sings the next line,

“My middle name is misery.”

You’re about to lose your goddamn mind.

It’s over as soon as it happens, way too fucking soon, he’s already pulling back—but the heated impression his fingers has left on your cheeks remain. You’re distantly aware of the scene continuing, of his movement on stage, the way the crowd swells and pushes you forward like the crash and swell of waves. The entire scene plays out, the chaos erupting around you until the song ends and cut is yelled out. A soft breath leaves your lips, more space being given to you to breathe and back up off the stage’s edge.

There’s a trembling in your body as extras begin to disperse, taking a ten-minute break before they film the scene one more time. You’ve learned options are important, you just can’t believe Austin has to give an entire performance all over again. The stamina the man must have is something you’re not sure you want to think about,

Not right now, not when your knees feel like jelly and there’s a dampness between your legs that’s very hard to ignore at this point. Licking your lips, you push your hair over your shoulder and move quickly towards the restrooms to give yourself some time, your body pulsing and insistent in a way that’s a bit hard to disregard.

“Y/N!”

You turn sharply, nearly running right into Austin as he makes his way over. Jesus this is such bad timing…or maybe perfect timing given how electrically sensitive everything feels, like you’re an exposed nerve. The hairs on your skin are standing straight up and there’s this ache sitting sharply in your lower belly. Can Austin tell how much of a mess you are?

“You alright, you look a little flushed?”

You clear your throat, your eyes taking him in. He’s sweaty from the performance, yet somehow looks even more attractive than he did before. How does he do that? Not to mention, after this break he has to be completely put back together again for another performance. Just blows your mind.

“Yeah, oh yeah—I’m fine,” You chew on the inside of your cheek, “Just a bit claustrophobic, that’s all.” Good cover, great cover.

Austin nods slowly, a small smile tugging the corners of his mouth. “So that was okay? I didn’t grab you too hard, did I?”

Honestly, not hard enough—you blink, luckily that response sits on your tongue and actually doesn’t make it past your lips. You hum, “No you were good uh, just—” Your blow a breath out, fluttering your lips, “Perfect. Excellent really.”

Austin laughs a little, chewing on his lower lip. His eyes flutter over your form for a moment, taking a step closer, “Good to know—so…what you’re sayin’ is, you wouldn’t hate a repeat performance?”

You feel heat coil down like a snake to your core, holding Austin’s blue gaze as you slowly shake your head. “Definitely wouldn’t hate a repeat performance.”

but wait, bestie—you’re so right. mind you the nude photo as his album cover art was for his debut album and it nearly caused him getting dropped from his label due to how strict we know japan takes celebs image—but choso actually blew up in the western countries and worldwide, so his label decided to keep him. which led to him being on the most successful artists from the label. the woman he sent the nudes from and actually leaked them/sold them to a gossip website was nearly sued by choso’s label, but choso didn’t sue her cause hello he knows his dick big and it actually helped him in the long run.

Kazunari: *Sigh*… I’m so excited, my heart’s thumping! I’ve been waiting for the new release in this pirate movie series for so long. I’m super pumped!

Banri: Same here. There's some foreshadowin’ that hasn't been revealed yet from the last one.

Kazunari: Yeah! Like what’s going on with that knife? I’m hyped!

Banri: Oh, it looks like it’s startin’.

-pause-

Kazunari: The movie was totes amazing!

Banri: It was better than I expected. The story development was good too.

Kazunari: It looks like it’s a hot topic on social media. Lookie, everyone’s sharing their opinions.

Banri: It’s a testament to your research skills to be able to pull that info up that fast.

Kazunari: Hehe. This stuff’s my specialty! I know they’re saying it all over social media, but this series really doesn’t miss, huh~? The scene where the two enemies joined forces was so intense!

Banri: Yeah, that was pretty lit.

Kazunari: Right! It was super duper cool~. You know, I couldn’t help but remember Summer troupe’s play as I was watching the movie.

Banri: Oh yeah. You mean Sky Pirates? That play was pretty wild and hilarious, I gotta admit. It was loaded with Summer troupe’s signature comedy.

Kazunari: It sure was! We added tons of adlibs and different jokes every day.

Banri: ‘Cept you were the only one on the navy’s side, right?

Kazunari: Yeah! I felt a bit lonely because of that. I was happy when Kumopi became Paul’s underling in the rerun though!

Banri: Personally, I wanted to see more of Paul in action.

Kazunari: That’d be amazing! I’ll show off my super dashing swordsmanship! If I’m gonna do more action scenes, then I gotta ask you to teach me.

Banri: Well, I can at least support you… Hit me up if there’s a chance.

-pause-

Kazunari: Home sweet home.

Banri: We’re back.

Izumi: Ah, welcome back. Kazunari-kun, you’re just the guy I’m looking for!

Kazunari: Hm? What’s up?

Izumi: It’s about that project where we’re going to deliver spin-off stories of the side characters.

Banri: Ah. Each troupe member is supposed to do one each, right?

Izumi: Yeah, exactly. We got the results from the survey for which side character Kazunari-kun is going to play.

Kazunari: Ooh, who, who!? Which role is it!?

Izumi: For Kazunari-kun… Paul was chosen!

Kazunari: …For real!?

Banri: Talk about timin’.

When This Is Over

YALL I FOUND THIS WIP IN THE DRAFTS OF MY SIDEBLOG FROM *LITERALLY* A YEAR AGO!!! Honest to god, NO idea if I've posted this already; I looked at my blog and at my tagged fics at @drarrymicrofic (wrote this for the now-old prompt: wedding btw) and I didn't see it so I'm going with it. I added an ending after "pretty damn impressive," and I made minor edits to the stuff I wrote before lol. Also this is an AU.

I don't care which china patterns we use; I'm sure you'll choose something delicate and ridiculously expensive and you'll insist on keeping it forever despite the fact that you'll also never let us use it again, let alone allow anyone else to touch it except for you. But it'll make you smile, and that's enough of a reason for me.

I'm going to wear dress robes, which you'll no doubt pick out for me. I don't know or have much of a preference as to what you'll wear, but I know you'll look gorgeous because when I see you wearing that outfit for the first time it'll be when you're walking down the aisle to meet me, and it'll be the best thing I've ever seen.

All I really care about for the planning, other than inviting all our friends and family, is serving good food and dancing to good music. I want us both to know every single song that the DJ plays, and can we please for the love of Merlin ask whoever we hire not to adlib or make commentary during the songs? It's so annoying when they do that. I want to listen to the song, not some stranger stopping the music to scream "WHAT" and "PUT YOUR HANDS IN THE AIR" intermittently into the microphone. And if I hear one—and I mean ONE—strangely upbeat or techno remix of a gorgeous ballad, I'm firing the DJ and plugging in my phone and playing music myself. I was scarred from the guy at Dean and Seamus's wedding who played a remix of "My Heart Will Go On." Scarred, I tell you, which is saying a lot for someone who is literally scarred in several places, and would probably be a prime test subject for a team of psychologists.

Anyway, where was I? Oh, yes, the wedding. As for rings, we're going to pick them out together. There's a jewelry shop in Diagon—well, there was before; I hope it'll still be there when this is all over. But if it's gone we can go somewhere else.

It's weird; everyone's talking about how we need to "make sacrifices" if we're going to defeat Him. But I don't think anyone understands that more than you and me. You sacrificed everything to show up to the Order headquarters, alone and asking for help, for forgiveness. And me—well. I haven't had much of a choice in what I've sacrificed. You did, though, and that's pretty damn impressive.

When this is over, I don't want to make a single compromise that impacts the grand scheme of my life. I want to be greedy; I want to be selfish. I want to grab happiness by the balls and never let it slip through my fingers.

I want to travel the world together. To lie on a beach until my skin grows flushed; hike up a mountain and feel my lungs burn. I want to feel my shirt stick to my skin from how much I'm sweating while we dance in a packed club, in a city where we don't speak the language; you'll move in close and grind your arse against me, throwing your head back against my shoulder to demand, through hot panted breaths, to take you home. I will, immediately, because of all the things I want for the rest of my life, you're at the top of the list.

I don't care where we are, or what we're doing, when this is all over. As long as I'm with you.

okay actually speaking of foreign productions and re: asking you things, what’s all the info we know about the unofficial German production? I think I’ve seen like 2 tiktok bootleg moments but when I went digging for more all I found was promo YouTube/insta stuff. Apparently there are 3 squips???

Okay so I knew about as much as you did going into this, but I was able to get into contact with Kevin Flemming, the actor who played Jay/Jenna and this is what he said (also if you have more questions about the production that I don’t answer here I’ll try to ask him later)

How did the SQUIP work if there were 3 of them?

The SQUIP was a puppet and the 3 of them were the puppeteers. Two of them worked the arms and the other worked the legs. A lot of the dialogue and singing was split between the three of them, but they also did 3 part harmonies.

Besides being translated from English to German, were there any script changes made?

1. The role of Jenna became Jay and they were explicitly stated to be non-binary and use they/them pronouns. There were other ideas for the role such as making Jenna be a drag role or changing her to a stereotypical gay boy named Jason, but ultimately they settled on making them non-binary.

2. During the hospital scene, Rich tells Jeremy that he had a crush on him

3. Since they were using the Two River script, they didn’t have Loser Geek Whatever but they did add in the “I’m tired of being the person that everyone thinks that I am” section of upgrade

4. Mr. Heere and Mr. Reyes became Mrs. Heere and Ms. Reyes, they are played by separate actors. When casting, there were no men who were old enough to play Mr. Heere so it wasn't a surprise when she became Jeremy's mom instead of his dad. The Ms. Reyes gender change wasn't known until the full cast list came out.

5. The SQUIP was changed to "sound like Siri" but it also had options for Alexa and Google

6. There were some adlibs at the end of the smartphone hour and in the pitiful children

7. They added 2 new characters, Tessa and Denise, who were the ensemble

Monster Bash from Apogee

A wonderfully gory and action packed EGA platformer from 1993 created from Frank Maddin, who would later go on to work at Nintendo on the Metroid Prime games

I grew up playing the shareware chapter on Compaq EGA 286 machine which although meets the system requirements, the game is almost unplayable on a later cave level with the FPS dropping to 1 frame every few seconds at some points...

Anyway, I'm going to install this on my newer ICL 386 VGA machine with the added bonus of an Adlib card for music!

I do miss those old ASCII based installers and watching the decompression happen. Plus check out that beautiful ASCII Apogee logic, fantastic work there!

So what's the game actually like to play?

Your character must free all of the trapped animals before you can exit the level by firing your catapult at the cages to break the locks.

By default you've got unlimited ammo, but you can also upgrade to bigger & multi-shot along with homing sticks.

Thankfully it's not a one hit kill like Keen, so you can take a few knocks before you lose a life.

All the sound effects play through the PC Speaker, which I remember from playing it as a kid. Which leaves the Adlib for playing music at certain points, which I always find a bit strange as it means I've got sounds coming out of two separate speakers on my PC.

Each level is also littered with these funny little skulls. If you hit one you'll be treated to an animation of their eyeballs popping out their sockets as they fly off the screen! Wonderful!

I spent a lot of time with this one as a kid and I'm looking forward to enjoying another play through again now. Thanks Frank

R/n, calling Ghost from a payphone: Um...Is Ghost there?

Soap, who answered Ghost’s phone: Only when he has to be. Who’s asking?

R/n, reluctantly: His ….friend, R/n.

Soap, skeptical that she’s telling the truth: Ha! Ghost doesn’t have any friends. Only people he hasn’t pissed off yet. Nice try lass!

R/n: No, wait I’m not lying! I know his real name!? it’s Si- *Soap hangs up* {R/n sees a gray van that had been tailing her turn the corner, she quickly runs for it.}

[Soap snickering as Ghost enters the office.]

Ghost: What’s so funny?

Soap: Some stupid prank caller, R/n or somethin’ said she knew ye.

{Ghost froze thinking he misheard...]

Ghost, eye twitches: You answered my phone...

Soap: Don’t worry told her bugger off.

Ghost, yanks Soap out of his chair by the shirt: You did WHAT?!

Soap, startled: w-What?

[Ghost angerly drops Johnny and immediately grabs his phone and tries to call back the payphone’s number.]

Ghost: C’mon...C’mon Doll, pick up...pick up for me darlin.

{He hangs up and calls back a few times as Soap watches on confused.]

Soap: W-wait, that lass wasn’t joking she really is yer friend?

Ghost: Shut up Johnny! …(Throws his phone) Dammit! Did she say something?

Soap: No, she just asked for you. What’s going on?

Ghost: You may have just gotten my fucking wife killed! that’s what’s going on! (Storms out of his office.)

{Soap stares at him gobsmacked as his brain short circuits.}

Soap, sputtering: Whawheae... WHAT!? SINCE WHEN WERE YE MARRIED?!

Act: Sweet Mirage Tour Seoul day 1

tour outfits

♡ finally a new tour and a new hair color for Joohyung since Joohyung actually changed her hair for the comeback she wanted to dye it again a color she has always wanted, and to match with one of her members plus a new set of nails

♡ just like Taehyun they both hid their hair and teased moa about it to saying that staff loved their hair so much and even pretending that they were going to show it on live, but of course they were just teasing poor moas

soundcheck day 1

♡ Joohyung was the last one to get on stage and was the first one to reveal her hair color leaving moas to scream once they saw her. “I couldn’t hide my hair any more moa~” Joohyung waved a piece of her hair around while laughing at their reactions.

♡ Joohyung seriously gave a sexy chic vibe for soundcheck which the members started mentioning almost teasing her as they were during a little ment. “Noona came in very chic today, right?” Kai drew all the attention to her. “Ya! I can see some moas fanning themselves!” Beomgyu called them out and even started mimicking them by fanning his face with his hand. The members laughed while Joohyung started defending moas. “Leave them alone, jerk.” Joohyung playfully punched Beomgyu’s arm.

♡ starting the concert off with ‘Blue Hour’ was the best decision they have ever made because it really set the tone and Joohyung got extremely hyped, especially when she was dancing with Kai during the dance break part

♡ Joohyung was really happy that they got to perform CWJLTMA with moas. It really made going through all those tired nights after coming home from hours of rehearsing worth it. As Joohyung was dancing she made sure to wink and wave at moas on the center stage. She even surprised a moa by completing their heart as she moved to the center to sing her part.

♡ as all the members went by introducing themselves Joohyung was the last one to say ‘hi’ to moas. “We have to leave the best for last.” Yeonjun said, as he looked at Joohyung was still spaced out looking around the crowd. It wasn’t until Soobin pointed at her back side. “Oh! Sorry~” Joohyung gave a small bow at Yeonjun, making everyone laugh. “Hi I’m-wait! I almost forgot.” Joohyung stopped herself and went to the far left where Taehyun’s at.

“Joo!”

“Tae!”

“JooTae blue!”

Both Joohyung and Taehyun crossed their blue strands together catching them off guard, but immediately loving them. “Taehyunie came up with the idea and really begged me to do it, so I couldn’t deny him.” Joohyung quickly informed everyone before continuing her introduction. “Hi I’m Tomorrow x Together’s Joohyung!” The arena filled with cheers.

♡ “with our second world tour Act: Sweet Mirage we wanted to show moas new and never before seen stages.” Soobin announced, causing moas to cheer loudly. “We even have a certain member performing some solo songs right?” Soobin looked at his members, but mostly at Joohyung making her smile at him. “I wonder what member that could be?” Kai played along. “I guess we just have to wait and see.” Joohyung shrugged, acting clueless.

♡ ‘Drama’ was a must for Joohyung because they didn’t really get a chance to perform this song in front of moas due to a certain situation around the world. Joohyung had smile throughout the whole song

♡ Joohyung gave about 110% during ‘No Rules’ since it’s one of her favorite b sides they have plus it comes from her favorite txt album they have made. She was even adding extra adlibs towards the end of the song making moas cheer even louder

♡ of course the members made moas bark after performing the iconic ‘Cat & Dog’. “You guys sound like little poodles.” Joohyung laughed at their little barks. “I agree their barks sound so light!” Taehyun agreed with Joohyung. “JooTae blue do not approve moa let's try again.” Yeonjun encouraged moas. Moas tried again which barely got approved by Joohyung. “I’ll let it slide this time, but we always have tomorrow to improve!”

♡ Joohyung almost squealed as she heard ‘We Lost The Summer’ started to play in her ear in, but she immediately held herself back as she was the one that started the song

♡ during ‘I Know I Love You’ Beomgyu and Joohyung would hold hands and sing together as their parts are; ‘say you love me, say you love me segyeye kkeutkkaji all or nothing I want all of you’

♡ ‘Loser=Lover’ was probably one of many of Joohyung's favorite moments of their concert as she was jumping and skipping around singing her heart out. Once it hit Yeonjun’s rap Yeonjun headed over to Joohyung wrapped his arm over her shoulder and they both started rapping

♡ “Kai let’s go!” Joohyung hyped Kai up for his opening part of his own song. Joohyung honestly started feeling emotional while singing her parts of the song and looking at the moas sitting at the upper levels and seeing all the moa bongs waving in the air

♡ ‘Magic’ was definitely another highlight for Joohyung especially during the dance break and seeing everyone clapping their hands with them “come on moa!” Joohyung yelled in English encouraging them to clap more

♡ as the VCR was playing her and Yeonjun got into position for their dance break unit which showed that Joohyung was controlling Yeonjun’s dance which adds a little bit of their txt story

♡ this part of the concert is where you really see Joohyung duality from being all smiley and carefree to being serious and chic with her facial expressions along with her stage presence which moas really felt during these next set of songs. Starting with ‘Open Sequence’ which showcases Joohyung siren like voice and stare throughout the performance

♡ “moa, are you guys having fun?” Joohyung asked before taking a little water break and carefully dabbing the sweat off her face and neck. “Yes!” She heard moas all scream making her smile. “I’m glad because I’m having so much fun tonight and I can’t wait to show moas my special stage which is coming pretty soon.” Joohyung was once again teasing moas. “Stop teasing them!” Soobin laughed, as he was wiping his sweat from his forehead.

♡ ‘Anti-Romantic’ was finally a song where they can just chill and sing, which Joohyung was really looking forward to since after this comes even more hard choreography plus her solo stages. Even though it’s a slow song that didn’t stop Joohyung from giving “seductive” looks to the camera (it’s what moas said)

♡ ‘Eternally’ again showed moas Joohyung’s siren side and when the song would turn into soft melodies she really showed her angel like side really showing everyone she can do both within a blink of an eye

♡ the vcr was different this time since it is mainly focused on Joohyung which only meant one thing, her solo stages are next. Moas immediately started screaming the second they saw the black mamba coming from the portal and Joohyung’s eyes turning all black.

As Joohyung was finally performing her solo debut song, moas were fanchanting so loud that Joohyung could hear it through her ear in getting her more hyped throughout ‘Black Mamba’. Once moas heard the cyber like intro they knew it was Joohyung’s new song ‘Next Level’ and it was instantly an addicting song, since by the end of the song everyone was singing along

♡ definitely Beomgyu and Joohyung’s part in ‘GBGB’ where Joohyung uses her lighter to light Beomgyu’s rose that was in his mouth went viral even outside the moa fandom circle

♡ ‘Tinnitus’ Joohyung was and still is groundbreaking and really left everyone in that arena claiming Joohyung as their wife

♡ moas said that seeing all the vcr and seeing the performances you can really tell that in some performances that there’s a story/lore in them like in ‘Devil By The Window’ at the end where they lift Yeonjun up they see Joohyung’s hand towards his neck almost being the one lift him up, and seeing that the black mamba is controlling Joohyung maybe she’s the bad guy

♡ ‘Angel Or Devil’ was a song Joohyung wanted to do so badly and fought anyone that tried to deny her. Joohyung just loved all the bouncy moves the song had, especially during ‘black or white pick a color’ part

♡ “what are you doing?” Joohyung questioned, as she watched Beomgyu miss the cue to get on the certain part of the stage that was going up. “Dummy.” Joohyung mumbled, but her mic obviously caught it causing Beomgyu to gently push her with a pout on his lips.

♡ another viral moment is when they were performing ‘Ice Cream’ Yeonjun and Joohyung’s iconic part which is; ‘you know what I’m saying, yeah’

They really did it for the tiktok girlies and their editing skills

♡ “I’m quite excited for our next song, so I think our junie~ should explain more right?” Joohyung smiled, as she moved all the attention to Yeonjun. Yeonjun happily explained how he created a little choreo for their song ‘Happy Fools’ because he wanted all of us to dance together. “Teach us! Teach us!” Beomgyu smiled at Yeonjun and got into position to follow Yeonjun.

♡ After playing with moas and seeing them try to dance and Joohyung calling her side out for not being in sync they finally started to perform ‘Happy Fools’ txt version. Which moas got very excited because they got to hear Joohyung rap her little version and her little ‘yummy!’

♡ “unfortunately we are at end of our concert.” Soobin announced making everyone sad and all the moas ‘awed’ which made Joohyung laugh, but she quickly covered her mouth. Kai caught her and laughed with her

♡ once it was about to hit the little dance break of ‘Sugar Rush Ride’ Joohyung yelled “let’s go!” Hyping everyone up and the members started hitting the moves extra hard and smiling at her

♡ during ‘Farewell, Neverland’ it was Joohyung’s part and the camera zoomed in on her and she looked like a goddess especially with the yellow lighting and her angelic voice. At the end of song when they started to dance Joohyung showed so much emotion like she was really embodied the song

♡ singing ‘Blue Spring’ really made Joohyung emotional her eyes got glossy but she held it in and continued on singing and looking at moas faces

♡ “we should express our final thoughts before we got.” Soobin said, as he took his ear in out looking at the rest of the members. Each member took their time thanking moa and expressing their true feelings about starting this tour and how far they have come. Joohyung kept her head down listening carefully to all the members and holding herself together. Until Yeonjun started speaking and how he remembers coming here and seeing their seniors performing and now it’s them performing here, and Joohyung broke down.

Beomgyu almost got whiplash with how fast he turned his head when he heard Joohyung’s whimper. Yeonjun pulled Joohyung into a hug as he gave his final words.

♡ “I-um I want to thank moa for everything. Truly without you we wouldn’t be here performing and living our dream.” Joohyung nodded and sniffled. “I honestly never thought I would get this far in my dream it was a hard time during my trainee years and I just really want to thank the staff, our moas, and especially my members.” Joohyung words got a bit cut off with her whimpers and her full on crying while looking at her members, who immediately got into a group hug.

♡ hearing moas sing ‘Our Summer’ brought warmth to Joohyung’s heart she has never felt this happy before and you could really tell by her smile and the little wrinkles in the corner of her eyes

“This is Tomorrow by Together singing off thank you!” Joohyung announced before they held hands and bowed towards moa

Fuck with the beat.

Always loved NERD and always will. The one album that stood up to me the most by them was “seeing sounds.” With the first track “time for some action” opening up to a whole new different journey to music.

I was so fucking fascinated with the sounds in each track. Everybody nose opening up vocals and ending with crazy switch, like sound effects, spaz jumping in making the listener think it’s a rap beat, until pharrell starts spitting like a punk rockstar. It’s all amazing to me really.

back for more keeps making me go back for another listen 🤭 okay the choreo is so on point, and the studio version definitely adds the mj flare with the adlibs being more audible now. the beat is great, and overall it has a sensual vibe that is just so palatable. you mentioned before how they're able to tread the border of being sensual without it being overpowering, and I totally agree! I can't think of any other artist at the moment that has the same ability to deliver something overtly sexy without allowing the sex appeal to overshadow the other creative components of the song or mv. I'm really digging the tasteful way that tnc has delivered this (and will inevitably continue to deliver for this comeback!).

Having said that, I would have loved it if the stylists gave them something besides those suits and white shirts idk when I heard disco latin pop I'm expecting some bling bling. at the very least give these men some shiny earrings or accessories!! Oh and a moment of silence for them not including that epic organ intro from the VMAs.... 🥲 biggest disappointment, do they realize that adding those 20 seconds would only enhance the song and not detract from their goal of charting w a short song??! anywho. it's a bop, and I can't wait to have it on replay when I run some errands after work today. So having the MV the way that it is (lots of lights and shadows going around, the layered vocals, the captivating beat that gets stuck in your head) kinda mirrors that sense of desperation to get the (formerly?) tempted back iykwim ???

like on the surface the tempter seems cool but there is a faint franticness to everything else around them somehow…. 🤔 WHICH REALLY MAKES ME CURIOUS ABOUT WHICH TIMELINE/UNIVERSE WE’RE IN FOR THIS 😩

going back, huge yeses all around for tastefully sexy txt (i have not been the same since the invitation cover stage dropped). it’s never super explicit or in your face and even when they’re taking off their clothes in their choreo (has the sleeveless kai era begun???), it’s in a more teasing, or rather tempting manner than straight up stripping. my brain is telling me this is a queer thing but i’m likely just projecting hahaha something something hidden desires

In honor of the return of GoSe, my favorite past episodes!

2019 ep 5 Caratland Behind - Solely for DK and Jeonghan's recording of BRING IT. Jeonghan's lil "tu~rn left" was so cute but I was totally blown away by DK's angry rap. So much 'tude, possibly fiercer than the original. :0

2019 ep 17-18 Karaoke Escape Room - The moment Hoshi is dramatically drawing out the last lyrics to some random old song that they don't know and the 100 points shows up on screen and everyone absolutely loses their shit. Also, the members being relatable AF because they can't do math.

2020 ep 5-6 Past Life Destiny - Where do I even start? DK full on grinding the floor and getting up close and personal with the camera during his intro dance. JiHan's chaotic reenactment of a scene from "I'm Sorry I Love You" where Shua throws himself out of the car (not scripted). All the SeokSoon drama. As a bonus, Seungkwan sang DBSK's Hug while DK was choosing his partner and I squealed!

2020 ep 9 Insomnia Zero - Birth of Wonwoo's iconic ~tasty~ and when I learned that Woozi has no chill.

2020 ep 21-22 Kartrider - "Booster! Booster! Booster! YAH! BOOSTER!" - Hoshi failing to get a booster, 2020

2020 ep 23-24 Seventeen's Got Talent - Seventeen is so good at adlib humor, they just take the concept and go hard. Too many amazing characters! My favorites were diva judge Boo, sloth rapper Hoshi, musical actor Jun, angry ballad singer DK, robot Shua, and of course "Jun" aka mischievous Minghao.

2020 ep 25-26 The8 and the Shadows - Minghao wanted to be the leader for a day and the GoSe team gave him what he wanted... kinda lol. Favorite moments include the impromptu "We Will Rock You", DK's sogo dance, Jeonghan casually throwing water at Shua, and Shua getting everyone to imitate the voodoo doll he threw on the floor multiple times.

2020 ep 33 Mousebusters - Not so much for the actual Mousebusters part but the orange and grape games they did after. Seventeen takes games EXTREMELY SERIOUSLY.

2020 ep 40-41 Don't Lie II - Hoshi absolutely slayed this season of Don't Lie and he knows it. There's something so satisfying about seeing his chaotic thought process pan out to actually be correct.

2020 ep 44-45 TTT - I enjoy all of the TTTs but the focus on "hyperrealism" made this one even better because it seemed like the members were simultaneously more and less aware of the cameras and making content for the show. It had all of our favorite SVT pastimes - eating and drinking, badly played sports, games they've played a thousand times, and overly-enthusiastic karaoke.

2020 ep 46 Going Magazine - Minghao styled Hoshi sooooo well for the shoot, holy crap. Praise the denim crop top. And Mingyu was carrying this whole project so hard, this is when I first started to appreciate how hardworking and talented he is in other artistic ventures outside of just performing.

2021 ep 11 Ad Genius - Honestly too many meme-worthy moments to count, but my top are: Shua putting Shin Ramen in his hair, Jeonghan putting gochujang on his eyebrows, and Coups proposing to Dino with all kinds of products while Hoshi sings 2AM's "This Song" in the background.

2021 ep 24 Tribal Games - The Whispering in Silence game is probably my most rewatched Seventeen clip ever. Hoshi "epik"-ly screwing everything up makes me laugh every time.

2022 ep 37 How to Eat Rice - We must pay our respects to two members who threw away their idol image for this episode: 1) DK, the hungry rice monster, and 2) Shua, who poured a bucket of ice water over himself to prove that ramen tastes the best when you're cold. Double respects to Shua because he didn't even win after all of that lol.

2022 ep 50 GOING Radio Show - Dino going "look at my fit!" while Vernon is fighting for his life keeping his laughter in is one of the first clips I ever saw of Seventeen and it's still hilarious. The whole corner with Jeonghan and Dino learning English from Shua and Vernon was peak comedy.

Anyway, the two episodes that have been released so far have been really enjoyable! Lots of pun humor, member banter, and a surprise twist! I'm looking forward to Wednesdays now~

11 songs I want in proseka + groups that would fit them

I see people make lists like this on YT all the time and I want in on this too LOL. It's gonna be in no particular order and also not per unit because some songs fit in with multiple groups. I tried adding in some more known songs and some more niche ones.

The assigned singers/units are all up for debate and some of them were done purely based off vibes and how much I like them. You might interpret them differently!

Balsam - Kurosawa Madoka

Unit: Leo/Need Singers: Saki & Rin

I think the song fits with some of L/N's more calm songs like from Y to Y. The song's themes are all about loneliness, which I think fits Saki. The issue is that Saki largely dislikes the feeling of being lonely and being left behind meaning that the song could be interpreted that she's singing this to herself whilst being in denial. Also, another issue is probably the instrumentation, since all of L/N's songs feature like... real instruments. So

Alternatively

Unit: Nightcord at 25:00 Singers: Mizuki & Mafuyu (+ Miku)

Mizuki tends to want to distance themselves from other people so the song fits in with their theme quite nicely. Though, I doubt they want to be alone either, the words in the song seem to align a lot more with what they tell themselves in private. The vibe of the song also works with N25's sound. Hello how are you? and Cutlery have a comparable sound so I think it works.

Also, Mafuyu going with slightly softer vocals and Mizuki with slightly stronger vocals could be nice. Most covers of this song are all on the softer side so I kind of wanna hear what it would sound like with a bit of contrast between two singers in a duet. Add in Miku if you want some more oooeeoo

Unit: MORE MORE JUMP! Singers: MMJ + Luka

Just a super cute feel good song that fits their vibe a lot! The song is all about getting over your anxieties and worries and being able to smile together and if that isn't an idol type song then I don't know anymore. I think Luka with some 'sweeter' sounding tuning would be really nice with this too!

Femme fatale - Kedarui

Unit: VIVID BAD SQUAD Singers: VBS + MEIKO

VBS has been getting some really hard hitting songs lately and I'm here to present you with another one I think can work well. The theme probably works with this unit as well since it's all about being lured into something that is wrong but feels so right-

I also really want to hear the chorus being sung by them. Kohane with her lower registry would sound phenomenal in this song and with me being a major Toya fan I just reallyneedtohearwhatthatwouldsoundlike

High-spec NEET - 40mP

Unit: Nightcord at 25:00 Singers: N25 + Len

The song might be a little bit too pop/rock-y for N25, but other than the instrumentation, I think the song works for them, especially in theme. Ena and especially Kanade would basically be NEETs if it weren't for the fact that they're high schoolers that still occasionally touch grass. I was originally gonna give it to only them, but the whole 'high-spec' part of the song where the MC is talking about being born perfect but being sick of everything despite that fits with Mafuyu, so I decided to give it to the entire unit.

Also the chorus has the potential to sound great with Len :D

Seraphim on the ring - Mitchie M

Unit: MORE MORE JUMP! Singers: MMJ + KAITO

I love Mitchie M songs for MMJ and I feel like it would be (for a lack of better words) very girlboss of them to sing a song about being prowrestling idols. It's super upbeat and fun, but the song might be a little too wacky for them so

Unit Wonderlands x Showtime Singers: WxS + Rin

If they add it in they have GOT to keep the adlibs in. I would do anything to hear Tsukasa shouting: 'BRAIN BUSTER BRAIN BUSTER BRAIN BUSTER-' in the song. The only reason why I didn't just give it to WxS is because the vibe of the song fits MMJ better if you get what I mean.

We are friends, aren't we? - Miyazawa Moyoyo

Unit: Leo/Need Singers: Ichika, Honami, Miku

The song is very pretty and the theme is giving major pre-main story L/N vibes. The instrumentation is a bit of an issue here as well though which I think is such a shame cause the song works perfectly with their story.

Alternatively

Unit: Nightcord at 25:00 Singers: Kanade, Mizuki/Mafuyu, Luka

The theme fits N25 as well and I think Kanade's soft vocals would sound really nice on this song as well. N25 has such a diverse sound that you can probably stick a lot of songs on their roster and it would be fine LOL

Is this song in here for any other reason than the fact that I like it a lot? I mean...

I gave the song to VBS cause the vibe of the song + the theme works with them the best. They've had songs that are musically similar (Garando) and thematically similar (PaⅢ.SENSATION and Ifuudoudou).

I gave the song to Kohane and Toya because I think this song could really highlight the tones of their voices. Also because most VBS or WxS covers only pair up the girls with each other and the boys with each other. From what I hear, people want to see more diversity in the cover pairings so why not have these two together?

A cover with the Vivids would also be nice. I'm not sure what a BAD DOGS cover would sound like, but y'know go crazy go wild-

Haruka and Shizuku sounded amazing on Shoujorei and I think they would sound great on this one too. MMJ can use more melancholic songs and this one would be a good pick in my opinion. It's honestly such a pretty song.

This could also work for N25 in terms of theme but I guess I just wanted ... more more more jump?

Super hero - Nem

They gotta have Tsukasa in this song at least. An eccentric and probably delusional MC singing about being a superhero? Yes please. I originally only would've put the Tsukasa, Rui, Len grouping but we have a lot of songs featuring those three already and I think Emu would work just as well in the song.
