okay, I'm really curious and I wanna know more about YASH. Do you have any Lore figured out for why people have powers? I mean, I read about the c-12 mutation, but why does a certain person get a certain power? Is it random? Or does it just happen. Why did Thira decide to become a therapist? How did she wind up doing it for people with powers? Was that always her plan? Why did the RSD choose her/how did they hear of her? And what about the RSD: are they actually "good guys" or are they trying to manipulate the heroes? What does the RSD think about the villains? (Do they need to die, or can they be "fixed"?)
Sorry for the massive spam of questions, but I'm v. curious about this story!! Stories revolving around superpowers are some of my favorites, because I really love the morality that gets pulled into all of it!! Seeing that morality was listed as one of the themes for YASH made me even more excited, not to mention positive portrayal of mental health stuff.

1. Im being completely shameless right now: the C-12 mutation comes from two different branches: one is My Hero Academia and the other is yours truly.
In case you are not familiar with My Hero Academia, people get their powers bc of an evolution of the species that leaves them without a tiny bone in one of the foot fingers (yes, so random).
Then there's my own thing: I have a genetic mutation called Factor 12 deficit or Hageman deficit and since last year more or less my whole live has gotten a but compromised about it? so I thought thst I might as well use it for something cool and give it abilities and powers (instead of you know playing Russian roulette everytime I get in a plane). The C part comes from Carmen bc I'm not original 👍🏻
Since the C-12 is a genetic mutation then you will get like this "families" or "blood lines" of people with abilities that have been increasing since it all started, and it's pretty weird for someone to not have the mutation but, of course, those people exist since genes don't usually work a 100% of the times (thanks, Mendel). Of course you have more chances of getting abilities if your parents have a higher percentage of the mutation themselves.
Now the type of ability is not in any way determined by whatever your parents have or don't. Usually it's a little of nature and nurture thing (so maybe if a pregnant person spends a lot of time by the sea, their child will have some kind of chances that their power has sth to do with the sea, but that's not "a given", there's always a lot of luck involved).
Another theory is more "mystical" and I like to call it The Zodiac Theory, because, as you might guess, it bases on the hypotheses that depending on the date, time and places you've born you will have one ability of another.
(this hypothesis does not explain however how pairs of twins do not have the same exact abilities, but it's a fun theory to have and has its lore like the zodiacs have irl. believe it or not is up to whoever at the end of the day)
2. Thira is what people in Clarelmar know as a Casualty Child: a child that has lost one or both paternal figures due to a major crisis (read a superhero battle) and she was in the system for the next eight years. She decided that, because there was nothing super about her, this was the only way she could help other kids and people who lost everything like her. It also impacted the fact that she experienced first hand a hero crying and being absolutely heartbroken once and, after talking to him, she discovered that heroes didn't have no one who could help them. So why couldn't she be the first? She vowed to the hero that she would find the way and, years later, the veteran found that Thira had graduated and opened her own clinic, and that was enough to put her in the RSD radar.
3. Ahh the RSD... they are interesting for sure. I do not think they manipulate heroes but more than the RSD are the heroes bosses in a way? Like just look at the name of the heroes' team: The Soldiers. think of them as pawns or minions who do the hard work and the RSD control the whole "this is legal" / "we will defend then from people trying to sue them for damages etc" and also the RSD has different areas of their work, not only the superheroes part: they also include social services for the Casuality Children, lawyers, indemnities, reconstruction plans and workers etc.
Villains can be "fixed" according to the RSD but usually when they are trapped these people prefer to uhh sacrifice themselves, which is why every once in a while there's a new completely different group of troublemakers (so in this case they are called The Hunters). Usually captured villains would get through jail and loads of "therapy" but (also) usually villains are those who the RSD let down years ago and the just seek revenge.
now the funny thing from yash is that even though morality is a big part of it I am going to blur so much the lines in between good and bad that my goal is that people don't see anyone as a Villain or Hero but just as a character with their own ideas (and problems). Also is your enemy still your enemy if you both work towards the same goal? it'll be nice to see how my set of misfits have to put aside their differences when sth else happens >:)
mental health has a lot to do bc as a psychology obsessed girl I just have to include it everywhere.... Also yash was my excuse to study psychopathology so I'm applying what I've learn to my characters but also doing research bc I'm neurotypical and I am in no way entitled to speak without listening and learning <3

So Bite the Bullet is actually at the top of my WIP list since it's plot has a lot to do with some stuff going on in my life recently.
Thing the First: It is entirely @mrfeenysmustache 's fault :D
It's inspired by one of those Trope Mash-Up prompt lists I posted...oh so long ago and can of course no longer find. If I remember correctly the prompt was something like "the doctor is your Ex & zombie apocalypse" or some other bonkers mix and my brain immediately decided on a continuation of What's Eating You?, and true to form for that AU I am gonna be so, so mean to poor Kagome. Since it's full of spoilers for WEY I'm putting this below the cut --
The breakdown:
Set between the ending of the one-shot and the mini epilogue, Inuyasha and Kagome are just arriving at the hospital to have their baby when- due to a massive shortage of doctors and a cruel author - they learn that the only OB available to help them birth their son is Inuyasha's ex-girlfriend Kikyou.
A snippet:
Inuyasha quietly took the few steps to stand beside the bed and grasped Kagome’s hand, hoping beyond hope that maybe Kikyou wouldn’t recognize him, that maybe she would keep her professional mask - both literally and figuratively - firmly in place and say nothing to him. If nothing else, maybe a contraction would hit at just the right time for Kagome not to hear Kikyou say, “Oh! Yash, hi! It’s been what-- a year now?”
But based on how Kagome’s head turned almost Exercist style away from the monitor she’d been watching and around to him, he knew hope was out the fucking door and gone already.
“Dr. Hidaka,” he replied, hoping the formality would reset the tone in the room. It didn’t.
“Oh Yash, no need for that,” said Kikyou, tossing the exam gloves in the trash and coating her hands in sanitizing gel, “I was just telling your friend,” -- Inuyasha wasn’t sure if it was a contraction or the term that made Kagome flinch so strongly -- “she’s already at 5cm and things seem to be going smoothly. There will be a nurse with you full time, but I’m the only OB at the moment, so I won’t come in ‘til the end.” She gave a polite wave to Kagome as she backed out of the door, already sprinting down the hallway to what he assumed was another patient.
“So, Yash,” he heard Kagome say, her voice a full octave higher than usual, “have anything you want to talk about?”
Inuyasha looked up at the heavens and tried to remember what he’d done to deserve this.
He sat down at the end of the bed, “Is now really when you want to get into all of this, Kagome?”
“Considering that this just saw me naked and poked my cervix, yeah, I think now is a good time.”
A note: I'm not totally sold on the title? I thought it was a funny, but the more I took at it the less I like it, ya know? So if anyone reads this and thinks "ooooh new idea" let me know. @lavendertwilight89 named the first instalment for me 💜

But that’s not all, SK has been flooded with offers from filmmakers across genres and it seems that he has gotten back to his original roots. Pinkvilla has exclusively learnt that Salman Khan and Sooraj Barjatyaare reuniting for the fifth time on their next epic family drama tentatively titled Prem Ki Shaadi.
Salman Khan and Sooraj Barjatya to start shooting from November 2023
“Salman Khan and Sooraj Barjatya have been discussing Prem Ki Shaadi for a while now and the film is now in the stage of hitting the floors this year. Salman and Sooraj are looking to start Prem Ki Shaadi from November/December 2023. With the film, Sooraj plans to celebrate love in the backdrop of nuclear families and is among the most special subjects that he has developed till date,” revealed a source close to the development.
Prem Ki Shaadi will be targeting a Diwali 2024 release in cinema halls across the globe and will proceed to the casting stage soon. “Sooraj Barjatya will get into the process of locking the female lead and key ensemble cast of Prem Ki Shaadi in a couple of months. While his films have always had romantic tracks leading to “shaadi”, this time around, the entire conflict revolves around the life of a married couple with strong family elements,” the source added.

While his Diwali 2024 project at the moment is Prem Ki Shaadi, there are a dozen of scripts that he is considering for Eid 2024. “Salman has been offered a film each by Mythri, Dharma Productions, Dil Raju, Aamir Khan Productions, and Sajid Nadiadwala that have the potential of being his Eid 2024 offing. He is talking to all stakeholders, apart from developing a couple of in-house films under his banner, Salman Khan Films. He will take a call on his Eid 2024 offing hopefully by April, as the idea is to start a new film by June 2023,” the source informed.
Apart from the two aforementioned project, Salman is committed to do the biggest action film of India – Tiger v/s Pathaan – for Yash Raj Films which pits him against Shah Rukh Khan. “Mark my words, you lowly sack of shit,” Inuyasha growled, his fury palpable in the way twin streaks of violet faded in and out on his cheeks as he glared the fucker down. “If you ever put another hand on Kagome again, I. Will. End. You.”

From my WIP Volleyball Fake Dating AU. InuKag Modern

“You look like the cat that ate the canary, hentai,” Yashiro snorted and settled into his seat. “What’s got you so…uh...worked…up?” Yashiro leaned forward, unsure. Was that? No. He looked at Miroku, shock written all over his face. “No. It can’t be?” he barely choked out, shaking his head.
Miroku chuckled and nodded. “Yes, I was surprised too, but I checked the roster and its definitely her. THE Higurashi Kagome.” Miroku chuckled again, then leaned closer to Yashiro. “She’s still using one of the moves you taught her, you know?”
It felt like yesterday. He’d asked her if she wanted some help with a few volleyball moves and, of course, she’d brought her whole team. While he and Miroku had worked on different moves for the team, Yashiro couldn’t help but watch how smoothly Kagome moved on the court. She seemed to read the ball so well and moved with grace. It helped that she had long, beautiful legs. The funniest part was that she was fairly clumsy, but not while she was playing volleyball.
She’d been so helpful and considerate, fetching water or towels for everyone when they seemed to need it. Also, she’d been so determined to learn something new that he’d worked with her very hard on her sliding digs until she could do them on the entirety of the court. And they’d had some good dates, aside from any volleyball training, yet they’d sort of drifted apart. But, this was perfect.
He recalled their last meeting in person. He’d taken her to a park and they’d had some delicious desserts at a nearby cafe (she did love chocolate) and then gone for a walk. Back then, he’d been getting messages on his Line account from some girls and she’d solved that problem pretty easily. She grinned and sat very close to him on a park bench, holding out his phone and taking a cute picture of her kissing his cheek. He’d saved it immediately and used it as his profile pic just to be safe. He still had it, actually. And now, when he couldn’t seem to get rid of a few annoying girls, why wouldn’t they just take the hint. Well, here she was. The perfect answer!
“If you ever need a fake girlfriend, you know who to ask!” she’d said, then winked. So cheeky! and so adorable!
“One fake girlfriend, coming up,” and Yashiro headed down to the players’ level.

bahaha the lovely irony of you asking me about WRITE ME. that’s actually me tiptoeing into the realm of socmed fics and ofc it was inspired by if my wishes came true!! it’s actually not totally a modern AU - it’s more like if the gaang, in their time period post-war, had phones and stuff. how would they stay in touch? what would their love letters/texts to each other look like when they were separated by seas but connected by cellphone towers? idk i keep trying to write it but getting rly intimidated, hence the title!
kkkg with sokkla - LOLOL kabhi khushi kabhi gham with rahul = zuko, anjali = katara, poo = sokka (sorry this concept with him being a fashionista at school and suki and yue hovering around him...cannot breathe help), and rohan = azula. it is SO MUCH fun to write, i adore this one. and i know Yash got a happy ending, but in my story, Ursa kicks Ozai’s sorry ass out of the house!
ddlj zk - dilwale dulhania le jayenge but with zutara🥺🥺 my comfort movie and I just had to rewrite it for my comfort couple. except! except! IT HAS BLUTARA! yes that’s right, the blue spirit pulls katara onto the train. so adorable. idk when i’ll finish this one but it better be sometime this summer because i am so excited!
