i didn't think i was going to make a post today, i've been under the weather for a while now 🌧️ and haven't really been making any substantial progress on anything as a result. i've been drawing, mostly. and no shit, i don't think i've spent this much time on my tablet since i was... fuck, sixteen? wild times.

but i dunno, i guess i just missed hanging out and wanted to share a bit of a WIP i talked about very briefly once before in a SSS (🐍) post, an alterous Dev/Niall (and pre-slash Simon/Baz) fanfic with the working title Niall vs the Amatonormative Agenda. i really like this fanfic. it started out as a runaway document where i could shove words when they didn't have anywhere else to go, and slowly turned into a canon compliant coming of age character study that follows Niall's POV exclusively from the Crucible ceremony to the Leavers ball. it's focused entirely on his life, his complicated relationship with Dev, and his friendship with Baz. i dunno if i'll ever post it in its entirety, but it is very near and dear to my heart these days.

He’s panting hard, his whole body heaving as he slumps down into the grass and tries to catch his breath, pressing his shoulders back against one of the beams supporting the underside of the stands. An ivory wand with a leather handle still too-big for his growing hands is clutched in his left fist. “Um,” Niall says. “Shut up!” The boy bares his teeth at him, scowling viciously. “Shut up or I’ll make you shut up, I’ll spell your tongue off!” “Baz!” Niall twists around and peeks through the gaps beneath the benches. Simon Snow is storming across the football pitch, flushed crimson and ripping at the fluffy inch of hair that peeks out below the brim of his boater, sparking along his forearms like a loose wire and steaming with so much magic that Niall starts all but going cross-eyed from it, he can feel it in his throat, acrid and sticky. He cups his palm over his mouth. “Baz!” Simon Snow shouts again, whipping around, his eyes cutting across the Wavering Wood’s gloomy treeline. Ceridwen, he looks like he’s gone mental. (And kind of like he’s about to cry.) “Give it back!” He spins, searching. He doesn’t find them. A noise like the growl of a small, rabid animal pinches from his narrow chest, and then he’s off. Sprinting in the direction of the drawbridge. Niall turns back around. “Baz Pitch?” “Grimm-Pitch,” Baz replies tersely. “You’re Dev’s cousin.” He blinks. “That’s correct.” “I’m their roommate.” Baz looks barely old enough to be at Watford, honestly. He still has one of those squished up little kid faces. His cheeks are puffy and round, his brow is shallow, his chin is short and flat. But he has a tall, straight nose like an adult, so he’s probably going to have a growth spurt sooner rather than later. Drop a layer of baby fat, shoot an inch and a half taller overnight. That’s how it went for Niall, at least. But then again, he’s older than he should be for a first year, he’ll turn thirteen in January before the end of Christmas break. “What have you done to the Chosen One now?” Niall asks, shifting to uncross his legs and stretch them out, moving his Magic Words textbook to lay open on his thighs. Baz settles down next to him, drawing his skinny knees up right to his shoulders with his arms tucked into the space between, flipping his wand back and forth from one hand to the other. His expression is blank—the kind of calculated, intentional blank that children shouldn’t know how to do—but his gaze is keen, almost feral. “Nothing he doesn’t deserve.” “You’re creepy.” “Are you going to tattle on me?” “No,” he says, after what is probably too short a moment of consideration, “I don’t really care. I just want to finish my homework.” “Well, good.” Baz purses his lips, looking Niall up and down with a single quick, deliberate flick of his eyes. (Grey, like a clean riverbank.) “Otherwise I would’ve had to spell you Six ways to Sunday.” “You couldn’t.” “Could too.” “Could not.” “I’m a Pitch.” “You’re eleven.”

Thank you so much for checking out my work!  I’m taking a moment to list my general writing info and rules that I request you check out before sending your request and ideas.

I write reader insert fanfiction and do my best to make the reader as inclusive as possible.💕I have a personal ick of seeing “MC” or “Y/N” or “Reader” so I try to avoid it as much as possible.  I have a tendency to write female Hufflepuffs but that doesn’t mean I don’t write for any gender or any house!  Feel free to specify house or genders in your requests!

2. I only write for Sebastian, Ominis, Silver Trio / Sebastian x MC x Ominis pairings. I truly love all the Hogwarts Legacy characters unfortunately I feel like I am not able to write romance for the other characters (such as Garreth) with as much justice as I want.  Thank you for your understanding!🐍

3. I love discussing my fics, reading every comment, looking at every tag in the reblog. I HIGHLY value any feedback, so please feel free to leave some!  

4. I can only write content I feel like I can do with justice.  Unfortunately sometimes my creativity is limited, and I’m not as able to come up with a fic for an ask, no matter how amazing that ask might be.  In these cases, I will privately DM you and explain my shortcoming (as long as you’re not on anon).  It is **not **because I don’t like your ask, simply because I feel like I cannot deliver quality content that is up to my standards.  

5. Lastly, please, please be patient with me.👉👈I am as slow as a turtle and sometimes my writing takes a much longer time than I wish.  I read and reread every single one of the asks that get sent.  I did not miss yours.  I am simply a slowpoke, please be patient.  Feel free to drop a friendly reminder, and I can update the status.

WIP Wednesday Tag

I usually name my WIP documents with the (temporary) title, so I'm afraid it won't be very interesting but anyway, here are 5 of my recent-ish WIPs:

🦇 La Fledgling (version complète) → doc where I compile all the things I've written for this WIP, because otherwise they are separated in "chapter 1" to "chapter 11" documents, but I like to have a complete doc to know how many words I have

🧜‍♀️ Mermaid AU → not very original since this is, you guessed it, an AU where the two main characters of the Fledgling are mermaids (well, one is currently drowning but I only have 600 words, I'll get to the mermaid part one day). It's a baby WIP, something I write for fun when I don't feel like writing for the main WIP. I might try my hand at a soulmate AU next, but I need to decide what kind and that's gonna need a lot of thinking (15 minutes to three business weeks, basically).

🌠The Wishing Star → it was my Camp NaNo project, about a woman who wants to become a pilot in a war-torn galaxy but first has to serve in a postal ship. Unfortunately, the ship is attacked but the resistance, she discovers she's adopted and has to fight to liberate her birth planet. Poor girl. It's currently on hold, because I was tired of it by the end of April XD

🐍The Witch's Time (tome 3) → the love of my life and bane of my existence. I'm stuck in the middle of this book, I need to cut half of it and put it in the 4th book and figure out... so many things. I printed the first two and they are soooo pretty. Unfortunately, this third book is kicking my ass. I'll be back Llewella, I swear, but I need time. It's not you, it me (I say, like a liar). It's technically an AU of another project of mine, but it grew a mind of its own and now I'm attached.

👽 Le truc avec les aliens (tome 2) → technically, its name is "Empire Déchu, tome 2 - La malédiction de Suli" but that's way too long so I just call it 'the thing with the aliens' because, really, that's what this is. A novel. With aliens. And a poor girl kidnapped and hailed as the saviour of a dying sect who want to resurrect a dead guy.

Now that I'm face to face with a few of my WIPs, I realized a lot of them have English titles, for some reason. I mean... I know why "La Fledgling" is called that (hint: it's because i couldn't find a good equivalent in French. Come on, jeune ? Débutante ? That's... not good. I'm not writing about a noble woman making her debut in society, be serious). But the others are just... choices. It sounded good and now it's stuck. Ok, maybe not 'the wishing star' because I don't like this title, but for WsT it's too late. I'm three books in, I can't go back.

Excerpt behind the cut, because this post is getting a little too long.

Excerpt:

"What do you want?" I asked her without giving her a chance to say anything.

As much as I hoped she would call me with something positive to say, I had known Anaëlle Charles since kindergarten. If she called me, it was always a bad sign.

"Jo, dear, I could use your help."

"Yes, I know. That's why I asked you what you wanted, moron."

I got up from my warm and cozy bed, still talking, put my phone on speaker the floor, and began to fumble for my clothes in the dark. Where the fuck was my left sock ? I was pretty sure my shirt was inside-out, but I doubted anyone would notice where I was going. Wherever that was.

Please dont let in be the swamps again, I prayed while putting my boots on.

"I'm... in trouble."

I was about to tell her that, yeah, obviously she was in trouble, she wouldn’t be calling at four in the morning if she wasn't, but something in her voice stopped me. It didn’t sound like the «I’m lost in the swamps again» kind of troubles, not even the «I think my magic is trying to eat me (again)» kind of trouble, both of which I could solve with my eyes close (mostly). It sounded… Like the bad kind of trouble. The one I wasn’t awake enough for.

Before I could ask her what the fuck was going on and why she sounded so… off, she went on, her voice almost as low as a sigh. Her breath sizzled in the receiver and I could hear her fingernails clicking against something metallic.

Ana was good at pretending, but she always ended up betraying herself.

"I'm at 23 Boulevard de l'Aube. Come get me. Hurry."

She pulled the phone away from her, shouted something I didn't understand, and hung up.

So, I'm I'm progress to make a comic, but unfortunately I have three stories in my mind and couldn't pick which one to make. I write synopsis about the WIP stories that I will make.

>In rainy autumn, Spencer found a Japanese Akita Inu puppy abandoned inside a box with a letter. Determined to take care the puppy for a reasons, will he able to take care of them?

3. ❄️🐍Shattered Dream, Fleeting❄️🐍 Memories

>One fine day on Sodor Island, Mallard, the famous steam locomotive and Spencer's younger brother, visiting Steam team and the people at there, much to Spencer's displeasure. When a storm is about to brew, Gordon sided with Mallard without knowing his scheme, only to worsen the condition that he currently facing.

~Mini update

It's January 4th and I'm already swamped with work. Help.

I'm gonna be doing a lot of school projects this month, so I don't think I'll get into any writing/editing until late January or early February. If you don't see me sharing a lot about my progress on my wips, that's why.

Once I start the first draft for the Eng translation of TMOWS you may see me sharing about wanting beta readers here, or I might jump into some discord servers I'm a part of (I'm mostly lurking there) to find them, or I might even start a server for the whole purpose of it. Would you want that?

I want 2023 to be the year where I publish TMOWS. I'd like it if it happened during the first half, but I'd be satisfied even if I end up doing it on December 31st 2023. This is my goal for his year, if nothing else!

Happy beginning of the year, I heard this will be the year of the snake 🐍

🎶 fic progress update/ bit of a sneak peek at chapter 4 of sing incoming:

it took me a while to get going with this chapter, i got a little stuck in places esp bc there's a lot of dialogue, and it was a little disjointed bc i couldn't always find the time so i lost the thread a bit for a while, but i've finally made some decent progress!! i'm confident i can finish this fic anyway jggj...

also, i think i read somewhere that changing the font of something helps you when reading over it again to spot mistakes or think of changes you could make, bc it sort of refreshes you i guess. and i found personally that it does seem to help a bit sometimes and i think it's important to tell you that the font i use when i do this is comic sans

anyway jjgfg, i'm about 2/3 of the way into this chapter so hopefully it'll be out soon enough!

(i also had a vague idea for a short piece from like, older zanzibarland kind of era big boss' pov,, but i am shooing it out of my head for now bc i don't wanna have 2 wips on the go at once LOL idk if that'll ever come to fruition but we'll see 🐍)
