I understand that most men who choose to be traditionally masculine in this day and age have a self-established and self-taught masculinity that's almost inherently always toxic, and rarely passed down from another true and established masculine man. Forced to go to media or bullshit influence(rs) for something that should have been instilled in them by their fathers, and wasn't, to no fault of their own.

Self control should be taught without self-negligence of basic need or need that is not a fault of the individual. Isn't being a man being strong and noble as an individual? Why are you approaching masculinity as a one-size-fits-all, five step program? That in itself degrades the depth of what a man is.

One should be made genuinely strong, strength out of fear of being weak is faulty. Strength, physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual, is a muscle. Trained, not strained. If it is strained, it breaks.

Chivalry should exist out of humility, and not as a put down to a "helpless" woman. Knowing one's worth as a man should by extension understand the worth of a woman. If you know that you're a man, that means you know you're not a woman. Men have something women don't, and women have something men don't.

We are all going about it wrong. Men and women. Stop aestheticizing gender norms foa da luv uh gawd. Accept being Western as inherently unorthodox, in the truest sense of the word.
