My personal depiction for my Durge, the albino dragonborn is just too good of an appearance. The monster lover that I am, wanted to give him features that warn others that something is just not right about him. The multitude of mandibles lining his jaws are normally barely noticeable until his killer instinct stir too strong to hide.

They splay and flare out with his jaws unhinging, able to wrap around a man's skull for a crushing mauling. If Durge doesn't just freeze and crush it like a gorey ice cube with near gator-worthy biting pressure. His wide vocalization of sounds go from spine-chilling viper hisses to shrill, thyroid-rattling screams and even, with his tempest-bloodline, a eardrum-bursting thunderclap of a shout.

Normally a very meticulous, clean creature, Durge walking around with these scars on his person is a constant annoyance. The slashes on his throat and ear-fins, the carving on his immaculate scales, the tender exposed scars in the back of his horned skull. Who or whatever done this is pay dearly.

White Dragonborn talons

(Specifically vesper’s) The spurs being shortened are specifically a thing for his family (usually when they’re younger and have less control of themselves) but they’ll grow back, vesper just likes his short

Also dragonborns are warm blooded and stuff but I feel like white dragonborns and maybe some of the others have specialized blood vessels the way birds do in their feet in their limbs so they don’t freeze off in cold climates

Also an excuse to draw talons, it’s very relaxing

Durge of the Ice-Hells

Concept Durge (#steel durge) for a story I'm working on

I rarely do art, usually concept stuff for something I'm writing, so I have limited experience and no stylus or anything.

This was made in GIMP (free) mostly using the path tool — which is a pain with tapering brush dynamics, because each taper was a separate line, and needed the fade length adjusted.

I can't tell at this point if I bit off more than I can chew — didn't always know what I was doing, but I did my best. And it was really cool seeing the idea gradually come together 😃

i REALLY wanted to finish some character art for a friend's D&D one shot tomorrow ... this evening. But a light-sensitive headache kept me from drawing on my new iPad.

A goal is a goal, & so I got my character drawn up on paper with ink & markers instead. HA! TAKE THAT! Stupid headache.

So ya! Meet my white dragonborn, Forge Cleric of Boldrie; Lynzelkin.

(I had fun grunging up her old armor from when she was a towns guard & barely survived it's destruction. And giving her a stripe of backwards facing scales on her neck, like the fur along the spine of a Rhodesian Ridgeback.)
