#if you’re wondering: yes. this was brought about by Hozier’ ‘too sweet’#which is. by all counts. not a love song#but the idea of rose being ‘too sweet’ for blanche hit me like a lightning bolt upon first listen#and I had to put it out there#realistically speaking I have nothing to add to this. i already have too many wips I’m working on#and it’s still a very unbalanced idea. for one idk where to place Dorothy#she doesn’t strike me as either the Danny or the Sandy type#maybe she’d be a better Rizzo? Italian. disillusioned#but her brand of self-denial doesn’t really fit with Rizzo’s self-destruction in my mind#to be fair all of them are pretty upright citizens. none of them properly fit the ‘bad girl’ type#blanche is just the one that feels the most similar to me#and she did do some wild stuff in her adolescence (at least according to her). might all be tales. but…#idk idk there’s potential there. obviously a lot of stuff would have to be changed but rn I don’t have anything to add to it#you know. maybe I just want to see Blanche in a leather jacket now that I think about it#god I hope people read the tags on my posts. 3/4 of the post is in here#the golden girls#golden wives

sometimes i reread the series and it becomes clear that shannon did not hire a sensitivity reader
#not that i don’t love the series still#butsome of the writing choices are incredibly ignorant and weren’t caught because she is a white woman#and mostly works with other white women because the publishing industry is not very diverse#but come ON shannon why are almost all of the poc parents bad parents#we know abt the song twins being the stereotypical asian parents but also#the aria parents ditched their kid and ran. prentice who is the only black father was absent for wylie’s childhood#(not counting maruca’s parents as a poc win bc even though maruca seems to have had a good childhood her parents haven’t had a line)#and the only divorced characters are black. which would be fine if the other black characters werent either minor characters or prentice#and also the fact that the council has a lot of poc but the ‘good’ councillors are white.#as much as i love the series it’s clear that there wasn’t a lot of thought put into the writing of the poc which rlly fucking sucks#shannon pleade talk to poc….#kotlc#kotlc crit

This is how I spent the anniversary day (and a few days in the run up to this day) - I didn't know how to display these 'zero fever: part 2' posters so it got my creative mind thinking (for once 😅) and I decided to make a homemade frame for them! It seems a bit childish I know, but I enjoyed making it, especially since it's dedicated to a group of 8 individuals who mean a lot to me 🫶

you know a common criticism of reputation when it first came out was that since the marketing was so heavily based on taylor's feuds with other famous people it would age really poorly, but my hot take is that could literally not be further from the truth. Like I cannot stress how little I have thought about any of the tabloid drama that some critics claim is essential for understanding this record's concept in years. It's 2023. this is just an album about taylor swift robbing a bank with her boyfriend now and it fucks

i realised i never went clubbing w my friends all together before this point. just w random individuals etc
