Anxiety claws at the inside of Kazutora's stomach as he stares at the suit waiting on his bed. He loathes suits. They're itchy to his sensitive skin, uncomfortable, and he feels stupid in them. More than that - he's only ever worn them when he's going to court for murder. Trials, sentencings, and check ins. He's never worn them for something happy. No graduation ceremonies, no weddings, no fancy events. Just blood and tears and prison bars. It sits as much of a judge to Kazutora as the one in the court rooms. Look at you. You fucked up murderer, here we are again for the second time. How about a third?

It makes him think of his father's suits. All fancy suit and tie and stupid glasses and slicked back hair. Like father like son, both monsters in their own right. It makes a bitter, pained smile twist onto Kazutora's lips while he chokes down venom and shards of glass. He needs to do this. At least the tie isn't a striped one.

He manages to get most of his suit on despite how every layer makes him want to crawl out of his own skin. But he can't figure out the tie for the life of him. Which is stupid. It should be simple! He tries, but all it does is end up with frustrated tears clinging to dark lashes as he throws it down and chokes on an angry sob. ItHow would he even know? Over twelve years of his life have been in prison uniforms. Before that it was just gang uniforms and casual wear. He never even had anyone to show him. It's embarrassing to admit that he doesn't know. And he should try a youtube tutorial but the longer it takes the more his anxiety grows.

So the tiger texts Yuzuha for help. Because despite what people say, he still slinks away and avoids most of Toman sans for Chifuyu and sometimes Draken. He doesn't belong with that group. He never has, and he's never believed otherwise.

His head lifts when he hears the knock of her arrival and he wipes his eyes quickly as he straightens up. He feels sick but he still offers a playful, sheepish smile. " Hey - Sorry. I know you've probably got better things to do. " Kazutora purposefully ignores the wobble in his voice, how strained it sounds even to his own ears. " I uh, I don't...I don't know how to tie this nearly. " He explains, offering the tie to her. " Can you help me? "

His hand trembles subtly, the tie almost seeming like a half-sentient creature with how it moves. He's trying desperately to hide how much of heavy toll it's taking on him, but it's obvious. It's obvious from the dull eyes and trembling, from the shaking breaths and wet lashes even if he's wiped them away. Everything about him screams I'm hurt, I'm scared. And maybe THAT scares Kazutora most, because his claws are always sharpest when he's afraid. Afraid of them being caught, afraid of Baji's abandonment. Fear turns him lethal.

Kazutora blinks when the tie vanishes from his hand and he's pulled a bit from his thoughts when he feels Yuzuha slowly tying it for him. She's talking but he can't quite hear the words. Internally he cringes ; he's going to have to ask her later. But she tightens the tie and for a moment, he almost thinks she might strangle him, turning tie into noose. He can't blame her. He'd probably her it happen without a fuss too.

( It doesn't make sense ; she didn't know Baji or Shinichiro ; but since when did anxiety or guilt need logic? )

She doesn't. Despite the pressure of the tie, despite how difficult his anxiety makes breathing feel, he's breathing just fine. He watches her instead, a way to try to ground himself. He watches her eyes study the tie, adjusting how it sits in his suit. He watches the small frown until she's pleased with it, feels how she smooths it out for him. ( He makes a note to NOT tug at it even when his hands itch for something to do. )

" Sorry. " Another apology spills from his lips without prompting. Sorry, sorry, sorry. " Thank you for- " He pauses and gestures at the tie, at himself while trying to force a smile on his face. " this. I know it's dumb. " He laughs weakly, rubbing the back of his head. " I really appreciate it though. I'll make it up to you. Promise! " He offers, closing his eyes when he smiles to help sell the look a bit more. But he knows even before he opens his eyes that he hasn't succeeded. It anything, he's probably made it worse because now the tears well up and make dull eyes watery. " Sorry- " There's that word again. " I'm fine. Just. " He waves a hand as if that explains anything. Just everyone being reminded I'm a two time murderer. Just having a breakdown over a stupid tie. " Lots going on. " He finishes pathetically and looks away.

ok i just saw that rian insta story again and my god. i didn’t even notice the bottom part of it where he’s talking about the band. made an already out of touch as hell post even worse. 12 mpg… i would CRY.

In another context from another human, I do think the quotes are funny. But Rian has reached that point of disliking someone so much you hate every single fucking thing they do, so his whole approach of being quirky just looks out of touch as fuck. Especially when we know Savannah’s family is also rich as hell so they have no fucking perspective. And since Rian is 99.9% Some Guy and not even an actual celeb it looks even more fucking dumb!!

the funniest meltdown ive ever had was in college when i got so overstimulated that i could Not speak, including over text. one of my friends was trying to talk me through it but i was solely using emojis because they were easier than trying to come up with words so he started using primarily emojis as well just to make things feel balanced. this was not the Most effective strategy... until. he tried to ask me "you okay?" but the way he chose to do that was by sending "👉🏼👌🏼❓" and i was so shocked by suddenly being asked if i was dtf that i was like WHAT???? WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY TO ME?????????? and thus was verbal again

okay this is genuinely such a funny thing to think about bcos this forces me to consider powerscaling the way people do for character v character on twitter.

oc primer:

sophie - former foundation mobile task force agent, now an scp object. is a witch and is proficient in sarkic necromancy/carnomancy, though her main discipline is logomancy. [ scp foundation ]

satomi - jujutsu sorcerer skilled in the seance technique using her own blood as a medium. not proficient in close combat. [ jujutsu kaisen ]

chiyo - tokubetsu jonin skilled in fuinjutsu (sealing techniques) as well as suiton (water release). [ naruto ]

diane - undead priestess of the holy light. has zombie strength. [ warcraft ]

erick - undead arms warrior. has zombie strength. [ warcraft ]

ardelle - blood elf priestess of the sun and eclipse (disc priest). not proficient in close combat. wishes she could just be an archeologist real bad. [ warcraft ]

mallory - troll demo/afflic warlock. not proficient in close combat. scythe is mostly for show. [ warcraft ]

like if its RAW power/strength? it's sophie without question. she has a dragon. anyone stupid enough not to surrender to her immediately gets killed by her giant undead boyfriend-dragon.

now if i tried to even the playing field, i could take john away and make her fight PURELY with her MTF training and her magic, which could probably put her on equal footing with my other characters like chiyo, diane, ardelle, mallory and satomi. erick too probably it's just he doesn't have magic/doesn't use magic so he's probably at a slight disadvantage. then i'd say it's anyone's game. satomi has not mastered domain expansion and even if she did use her domain, her technique would burn out and leave her vulnerable to other opponents in the arena she hasn't defeated. ardelle, diane and chiyo have the advantage of being able to heal themselves, but ardelle cannot fight someone up close. personally i wouldn't recommend getting into a fist fight with diane. mallory as a demo/afflic lock has the advantage of numbers but without her demons if you manage to get up close to her she will be pretty easy to defeat. erick is quite literally an average guy with an axe fueled by unholy rage. chiyo would be able to hold her ground against someone like ardelle and mallory but sophie, diane and satomi might give her a run for her money. if mallory and erick form a temporary alliance there is a good chance they could wreak major havoc just bcos they work insanely wall together.

if i let my favoritism show it'd probably end up being sophie or diane.

if violence wasn't allowed at all? ardelle. she would info-dump everyone to death.
