wait i used to play school of dragons and i have to ask what changes theyve made to the game since like. 2017 cause i am so close to caving and making a new account but i do remember it being boring as shit after a bit because everything was a microtransaction
saying this right now as a player who has NEVER in my... 9? (unsure because I used to play with a guest account at the start. baby me did not understand how logins worked and where my data was saved. until I lost said data lol) years of playing this game paid dreamworks a single dime - it is fucking astonishing that they actually let you EARN gems now.
the battle events now happen at the turn of every hour and if you can do enough damage for a gold chest (or at least a silver though the chances of getting gems are lowered), you can get up to 200 gems AT ONCE. PLUS they've lowered a lot of the egg prices (the skrill costs 500 now. crazey) and you can get smaller amounts of gems elsewhere via daily login + battle tactics. also I think seasonal events can give good prizes though I only started playing again recently and haven't experienced one myself yet
I have so far been able to buy all but one expansion pack (which I don't care much for so I'm saving for miscellaneous shit instead for now) and it actually feels like I'm playing the game the way it was supposed to be played (as a paying member lol)
also new players now get an adult dragon to start off with (main cast ie nadder, gronckle, m nightmare, zippleback) and they get to pick an egg from the hatchery (main cast + sand wraith, flightmare, shockjaw, rumblehorn)
aside from that one of the changes they made that made me LIVID was that you can't fucking play with your dragons anymore you can't have them fetch a ball or chase rays of light. you gotta raise happiness by fireblasting eels that are found in the water but only at certain spots on the main maps which is annoying and tedious. AND THEY GOT RID OF EEL ROAST THE ONLY GOOD MINIGAME. hatred.

we aren’t a thing as in like. A Thing™ but we’re definitely best friends who rly....Get each other like we simply vibe and we’re also wildly attracted to each other!!!!
we actually did go through the actual dating phase for a hot minute but then we weren’t bc he was in a rly....awful place emotionally and i was pissed because i realized i love him and he probably didnt love me back in the same way as i did so that translated into anger. then i thought well this is stupid so we started talking again but i still felt this weird resentment toward him that i couldn’t quite put my finger on so i decided i’d had enough of that and we basically became best friends by the end of last year (note that we met in may so like...wild)
then new year happened and i texted him I LOVE YOU and he was like THANKS and i literally wanted 2 die...wow...obviously we remained friends because hello...love?? then we kinda forgot abt that and we sort of grew closer???? maybe because that was out of the way and it was rly nice until it in like mid january it was the SADDEST thing bc all of a sudden he was like im seeing someone and i just....was like dude.........for real....and at that moment i pretty much kinda gave up on us as like a couple like the possibility just escaped my brain and it was v painful but i managed but all the while he was kinda weird abt it like. idk it was just weird i cant word it any better. they basically dated for like less than a month i think dkjshgkdjghdgkjfdh and i was like hm........................................not to like get my hopes up or anything but...hm
then fast forward to mid/late february. if i could like pinpoint the exact time when i’ve felt closest to him it’s definitely not late february 2020 but that’s when it BEGAN...like we just sort of clicked. i’d decided i was moving to my hometown back in december and guess who was like i gOTTA MOVE TO MEXICO CITY. so yeah he was going to design school in may and i was going to go work starting late march so i could save up some good money and put myself through courses/open my fUCKING CAFÉ with the help of my dad. it was rly cool because he’s been there before like three times but he’s NEVER actually lived there and mexico city is literally...a wild place and there’s SO. MUCH. TO. DO. so we kind of started making plans and envisioning ourselves as a unit. and in the meantime i started properly helping him write a treatment for a future screenplay he hopes his Film/TV Producer brother will accept and yeah it was just...rly nice bc our writing ritual was going to this cafe we love (he took me to another of their locations on our first ACTUAL date last year and that location is closed now) and i kinda witnessed his creative process In The Flesh. i cant quite word how that felt but if you’re in any way afraid of vulnerability and maybe an artist of any kind you’ll KNOW that ur self during ur very own creative process is literally one of ur rawest forms.
what rly Got Me after that was that i rly needed money for my bus ticket home (it was not a Lot of money since mexico city is literally like 4hrs away from here) and he needed money to basically...go and scout and bUild a life from scratch down there so his dad helped him open up this cute little food truck and he was like do u need a job 🥺 and i was like YEAH so we basically did all the branding/design for it (i love design...sm) and we were coworkers until late march!!!!!!!
that was literally our peak....once i convinced him and his friends to go to this karaoke bar on a nearby street (we all were at his apartment) and it was rly cool i got to sing a lumineers song and he looked at me rly softly and then we got kicked out bc we thought it was a good idea to bring our own beer so we all went back 2 david’s and it was getting rly late so one by one his friends were all like *eyes emoji* and left and i was left alone with him kinda high and PRETTY drunk, same state he was in and we just kinda held each other there until i finally called an uber and got home. but he gave me his jacket since the moment i began getting cold aka before the bar thing and i fell asleep in it kdsjgfhkgjdshgd
BUT YEAH one of the last things we did was going out for coffee again to try and write before work which we totally didnt achieve bc we just...kept talking (and stealing cigarettes from each other) and then at work a friend of his (who’s now my friend too bc he’s kinda adorable) visited and we just had....the best of times and yes we made out a couple times and at the end of the day but like unnecessary details.
then corona came and we’ve been quarantined since march 23rd!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it’s been rly rly hard but he’s made sure to like check on me as best as he can bc let’s face it he’s not having a good time either and idk it’s just nice to have...him in my life like the levels of trust involved there are Crazy it’s literally like buzzcut season by lorde as in “i’m the one you tell your fears to/there’ll never be enough of us”

Ingo and Emmet
Starting with the Stars of The Show,,
Say hello to twin weapons Ingo and Emmet!! Ta-daaaa
Ingo and Emmet can wield each other but Elesa is also their meister bc due to their weapon type they're more effective being used at the same time anyways
Ingo is a sword and Emmet is a curved dagger! (Ingo was formally a broadsword but I just looked it up and those are used w/ two hands. No thnx)
Both of their hilts are exactly the same, silver, with Arceus' symbol etched in the top and the symbols from their in-game hats etched into the base (the first-later explanation. The second-family insignia)
Ingo has a very stealthy fighting style; his weapon is Emmet, so he has to rely on short range attacks and trickery.
Emmet goes in guns blazing; his weapon is Ingo, so there's no real point in stealth.
Both have sheaths to hide the other in (a weapon is easier to hide than a human), and rely on a lot of trickery.
When they go into battle, they both wear calf length, grey jackets that are far too big. Ingo wears a black hat and Emmet wears a white one, but that's more for allies than anything else.
They also wear dress shoes, but they always wear dress shoes. (Elesa thinks they're crazy. They give half a shit.)
They also have earrings! Sort of.
Both wear a small gem as an earring; Ingo on his right, Emmet on his left, so they face each other when they stand next to each other.
This gem amplifies their weapon abilities. (Again, an explanation for,,,probably another post at this point this is getting long.)
And on their other ear, they wear an earring with a chain and a clamp that goes on the shell of their ear.
In their weapon form, this translates to a chain; for Emmet, it allows a more ranged attack where he's semi thrown, and for both of them, it's more a way to ensure they aren't dropped. (Like the strap on a Wii remote.)
(also don't ask me how this works it just sounds cool lmao)
Drayden got them a pair of them, probably. He's their uncle in this au cause I said so and it's a cool thought. Maybe Clay helped make them/mine the materials louder shrug I haven't figured out most of the other gym leaders yet tbth
Ingo has chips taken out of his blade, and it reflects on his body as a few deep scars on his right side.

uhhh. other thoughts umm
They learned they were weapons when, while Ingo was fending off bullies, Emmet transformed on instinct (to which the kids ran away because THAT'S A FUCKING DAGGER????)
Their parents, a weapon and meister duo, quickly supported sending them off to the DWMA (which is still called that cause it still makes sense)
Once they hit about 20, they start teaching there, as well!
They joint teach one class, teaching different subjects one or the other knows more about, but the base idea of the class is 'A class taught by twin weapons for weapon duos!', as weapon duos are relatively rare.
(When they were looking for one meister, 13 and fresh to the DWMA, it took them awhile.
Luckily, Elesa was actually looking for a weapon duo; she enjoyed the thought of fluidity in fighting.)
In normal everyday life, they wear the same thing they do in battle, but just. Less confusing coats
They're way too formal. At least, when they're at the school. (Who knows, maybe they dress like normal people outside of it...Elesa will never tell.) Dress pants, shirt, tie (red for Ingo and yellow for Emmet), the works. And yes, they still wear the dress shoes while teaching, don't ask why, they won't give you a real answer. (Elesa has stopped trying.) They wear their black-and-white hats, but their jackets reflect that, as well.
Though they're a little different. Ingo wears black, Emmet wears white, of course. They're more thigh length than calf length, and they can close, but unlike their battle jackets, which are meant to stay closed, it's more for winter weather than anything else. They're more close-cut, but still decently comfy and too-big.
Emmet's is absolutely covered in pins. This goes for his hat, too, though he's a little more conservative with them when it comes to that.
Ingo doesn't mind pins, but has far less than Emmet does.
Both wear identical pins on the front of their hats, though. They were gifts from Elesa when they first became her weapons, and they've gone through a good few hats and many, many years, but they're still holding up.
and uhhh. i think thats it for basics w/ the boys! elesa post coming soon i Promise (and then a general post w/ a section on team plasma and the mcs. or maybe ill chunk that one up well see)

not to derail a bit but it's kinda crazy how much dsmp fics have helped my writing style honestly. i've been writing fanfic since around 2013, but i don't feel like i was really into it until 2017 when i was writing bnha fanfics lol. at the time i was writing in a much more action-based style, and it honestly wasn't until i started writing dsmp fics that i solidified the more dreamy style that i use for everything now. (writing dsmp fics also helped me learn that i'm much more a fan of writing shorter form stuff but that might retracted now given my recent multi-chapter escapades sooo)
i think the first second person pov fic i wrote was my punz fic?? which is crazy to think about. and now i can't STOP writing second person pov, it's literally my favorite. my dsmp fics were also when i started writing more often and i just finished writing a 13k word fnaf fic in like a week and a half so.... safe to say it's been working lol.
ANYWAYS. dude writing is a huge passion of mine and i love it dearly so i'm so glad you like it :D

Hiii kath I am late in the day here but I'm hoping maybe in a way I'll win and this will be like the last thing you see before your birthday is over... despite being in very different places I often feel as though we experienced the deep evils of being 20 years old in the same way which is like an ancient and unbreakable bond I think. now that I've gotten the nightlight expansion (which was SO short but so sweet I like that they actually developed the night lights' personalities more and I fucking loved seeing the bewilderbeast again!! don't know how he's alive in this universe but I don't care he's gorgeous) and consequently pouncer (he's my favorite because he's just a little boy and also the only one that doesn't have domestic cat markings. sorry dart I'll save up for you one day) it's time for a NIGHT LIGHT REVIEW:
first off he is so small 😭 as timberjack stan #1 I am in awe of this
the new night fury model is fucking crazey... the model itself and the animations are gorgeous. you can actually feel the weight of this dragon when it flaps its wing which by this game's standards is insane. love going left and right rapidly to see the tail jiggle it's so smooth
THE PITCH RATE IS ATROCIOUS. I know the little stat cards they give you are wildly inaccurate but calling that a pitch rate 9 while a stormcutter is listed as pitch rate 5 is criminal.
love the speed. I only ever had a 300 gem trial membership and for that short 7 day period I really loved speeding around with toothless and now I can do that with pouncer. forever.
I got him the racing stripes skin so we can match (my black night fury outfit + red warpaint and bandana swag and his white with black details body + red stripes drip)
also fun fact one of my greatest school of dragons regrets is that I spent all my hard-earned nonmember gems on the night fury outfit set when it came out in 2016. it was THE coolest set we've seen in the game. I buy it and am left with naught but dust in my virtual wallet and I am content with this. a week later they release alpha toothless armor. infinitely cooler. black leather with way too many belts kinda look. I do not have the money to buy it.
the 2016 dragon armor sets were limited-time. they retired within the month. they have not been re-released once in the last 7 years. I mourn that alpha toothless armor every time I look at my viking.

I want to get off FazEnt‘s Wild Ride: A Security Breach Theory/Prediction
Helloooo inchernet. Welcome to gayyyyyy. My name is Romeo and ADHD wasn’t lying, that fixation can hyper!!! Which means FNAF being a huge interest for me, the Security Breach trailer drop had some effects on me.
Terrible, terrible effects.
Mostly involving being unable to think of anything BUT the game! And I guess that culminated into over analyzing every single bit of knowledge we have about the game and making my very own theory/prediction on the game’s story! Fun!
I would like to preface this that some aspects of this will be more speculative and vague than others. After all, there is only so much you can get out of teasers and a few trailers. I’ll let you know when certain parts are more speculative and when others are crucial points to the theory.
With that said, let’s get into it!
First, I will present the backing evidence for my theory, and then, sew it all together to show you exactly what I think is going on in this crazey plot.
Behold, evidence #1: In pretty much every trailer, there are quite a few shots that make it seem like we will be finding locations in the mall that aren’t meant for public view. In the first trailer, we have a huge cylindrical container in an incredibly spacious room. In the second trailer (or graphics showcase if you wanna call it that), we seem to go into an office room, where presumably meetings could be held, as you can even see a big whiteboard inside with some stuff written on it, including a pie graphic, and many chairs scattered about. In the third, we seem to be running around a series of underground tunnels.
Evidence #2: If you go to Voices.com and see the reviews on Scott’s page, you’ll find that one of them is for a character simply named “Disappointed Boss”. Could this mean we will be encountering or hearing an important figure in Faz Ent?
Evidence #3: FNAF Help Wanted and FNAF AR and Security Breach seem to be connected in some way. We know that the first two games show that FazEnt has been experimenting with stuff beyond simple tech, such as the memories of people, or possibly even remnant.
Evidence #4: At the end of the third trailer, Security Girl says: “There is more going on here than you realize”, with an odd crack to her voice, as if she sounds scared or sad.
Evidence #5: The title of the game itself, Security Breach.
What am I trying to say here? I think that we, as Gregory, are going to uncover a big secret project that’s being kept under wraps by FazEnt, something that they don’t want to get out to the public. We ARE considered the security breach here. And obviously, the higher ups are not going to be happy about this. There is more going on than we realize, and learning about it will have consequences.
That’s about it for the more grounded part of the theory. Stick around if you want to see this go down the rabbit hole.
Here’s when I start getting a little bit more vague and speculative: What if the reason the animatronics are after you is not because they’re just infected with Glitchtrap, but instead are being told to capture you? What if, the reason Glamrock Freddy can overcome this and maybe be an ally is precisely because it’s not a virus, and he just decides to disobey orders?
What if Gregory’s friends got captured for also roaming the place late at night and getting into things they shouldn’t, and that’s why he is there and why the voice at the first trailer mentions them?
Alright, it’s time to go deeper. This is going into the crazy territory.
The secret project FazEnt is messing with this time? Involves remnant. First of all, here’s evidence #6: there seems to be a showcase of various props previously used in Freddy’s locations. And if you’ve been paying attention at least a little bit to discussion coming from the side books (I don’t blame you if you haven’t though), you’ll learn that remnant can stick to objects too
Not only that, but a previous theory of mine involved the fact that, in FNAF AR, the only reason FazEnt is able to mass produce animatronics that ALL somehow end up possessed is because they are all full of remnant, but not one specific soul’s remnant, and instead, it’s all bits and pieces stuck together and sent out as “good enough”. And if FNAF AR and Security Breach are indeed connected, who’s to say they’re still not messing with it here?
We know that the people running FazEnt like to play with the public perception of Freddy’s. They know people see what happened as horror stories and feel a connection to that too. So, my idea is, why would they not try to create a scarier, and more authentic experience, and try to sell it as a horror attraction?
And this is my craziest point, and the one I’m shakiest with, but trust me, I do have an even weirder one up my sleeve coming up later. I present you: FazEnt is actively working to create a single entity for Glitchtrap to possess, believing themselves to be powerful and smart enough to control him (sorta pulling a Jurassic Park there I guess) and it has ties to the FazFrights books and a similar entity that was an amalgamation of toys and props and animatronic parts that William came to possess. I believe this process will be recreated here, this time by FazEnt, trying to create the ultimate horror experience, hoping to still be able to keep Glitchtrap under control. This has some backing evidence in the fact that again, they do seem to have access to many old props and supplies from previous locations, that they do have places abnormal to be found in such a mall, and of course, that freakish arm at the end of the third trailer.
Okay, and here’s the final, absolute batshit insane prediction, that, if by some miracle, I guessed all of this correctly, I’ll be stoked out of my mind that I predicted this: Once Glitchtrap moves onto his new vessel, Vanny will be left actually free to make her own choices. At that point, there may be a heel-face-turn where she chooses to help finish the job against him, instead of helping him.
Oooorrrr she’ll just get worse. That could also happen. But we’d have to see.

i can talk for HOURS abt how amazingly well are the color keys done and color themes handled in rottmnt but one apparent thing that struck me most is how not only they gave the whole turtle team some fun and legitimate character development but ALSO how its all connected to the symbolism of the color of their masks?!
like donnie’s thing originally was to be the brains of the team and along with his character arc they also emphasized the mysterious genuis/emotionally unavailable bad boy image he was trying to pull off and THAT connects to the assumed attributes of color purple: magical, enigmatic, cool! but thats not all there is to him: this sort of ‘persona’ is his literal Mask which is shown to most people and underneath that he is a gentle, understanding and a caring brother as well as the voice of reason
THE SAME goes for everyone else in the team:
leo = blue = go with the flow attitude BUT also level-headed, loyal and adaptive
raph = red = stubbornness to a degree and quick temper BUT passionate, a natural leader and an extremely loving bro
mikey = orange = optimistic, empathic, artsy BUT kinda deceitful, just a littel crazey, *dr delicate touch*
