Where Stars Land (Drama Review)

Where Stars Land is a Korean drama based on the lives of the employees of Incheon International Airport. The story goes mostly around the bubbly and persevering Han Yeo Reum, played by Chae Soo Bin; and the kind but mysterious Lee Soo Yeon, played by Lee Je Hoon. Yeo Reum has worked for the airport for only more than a year but already has multiple sanctions due to her recklessness and careless nature. Despite that, she strives hard to stand out and be recognized for her hardwork. Soo Yeon is a perfectionist who only wants to stay on the side and not stand out. He is kind of aloof to others. He also has a really good and commendable scholastic background. Both meet when Yeo Reum gets transferred to the Passenger Services Team. The story proceeds as these two get closer and discover how they are connected due to their past.

This drama ended last week and I’m starting to miss it already. This was a really good one. The plot was nicely written. The roles were well acted, considering the household cast. Each week, there were different circumstances you would learn from and appreciate those who work in the airport. I loved how the story started to unfold with the different secrets beginning to be revealed each week. I totally got hooked on how the storyline began to get heavier in the middle but still had the cute scenes with the different love lines. Though I wasn’t really satisfied with how it ended. I really hoped this wouldn’t have the typical Korean drama ending but yeah, it did have that. It looked like it was rushed and after everything that happened it seemed like things ended in a snap. Let's not even start talking about not seeing Soo Yeon's face in the end. Actually, I just wanted more depth in the ending which is what the drama made me expect. Anyway, aside from that, this was well done. The production was well thought of. I’m in love with the OST too, currently playing 1415’s Nothing To Worry while writing this! The soundtrack is really lovely!

You would surely appreciate love and life with this drama. I’m giving this 8/10!

Kdrama Review

Title: Where Stars Land

Rating: 6/10 (Ongoing)

Okay, i’ll explain why i gave it 6/10. First I just watched 2 episodes (Because it’s still ongoing). Second, i don’t feel the chemistry YET. Third, sad to say i didn’t felt that ‘love at first episode’ so.

The Story is about a girl who’s really desperate to work at the airport but too clumsy and don’t have a sense of direction so it took her 3yrs to be accepted just due to her passion. And the guy who’s actually the opposite of the girl, he’s smart and everything but he have a secret and he just want to live a normal life. (You’ll see what that is when you watched the series) They’re both working at the airport and become entangled in different situations.

Chae Soo Bin was one of the reasons why i want to watch this drama, I fell for her since Strongest Delivery Man (watch it, it’s really good too 👍) and then the i’m not a robot was also a blast. her character here is a bit different in her past series but i like her anyway so it doesn’t matter 😅 but I promise this is not a biased review.

Lee Jae Hoon, i watched him in Tomorrow with You. He’s a great actor so he’s also the reason why i’m watching this. but his character is too cold but it’s oddly suitable to him. He’s really good.

I’ll be watching the rest of the episodes because it’s still worth watching and i got curious about their characters. And I hope the story becomes interesting as I watch because as of now I still don’t feel that I really want to watch it. 😅
