On thin ice (Hockey Player! Miguel O’Hara x Figure Skater! Fem! Reader)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Omg y’all, first I know i said I’d post this on Halloween, but… I couldn’t help myself! Second, the time has come… the last chapter😭. I just wanted to thank you all for reading and for all the support! It means a lot to me. The usual, not proofread.
(Y/N)- Your name.
Alcohol usage, mentions of cannabis, cursing, no smut but a small small smaaaall make out bit. Miguel finally learning to use his words.
Word count: 1.6k
Series Masterlist
Chapter 15 [Final]: Maybe I’m too busy bein’ yours to fall for somebody new.
It felt like you were in the opening scene of a cheesy 80’s horror flick. Psycho Killer by The Talking Heads was blasting through the frat house you were currently at, a red solo cup with spiked punch in one hand, and the other grabbing on to Kate’s hand while she dragged you through the crowd with a laugh, your purple cape swishing behind you as you make your way through the sea of drunk college students, all dressed up in different costumes.
Eventually you found yourself in the kitchen of the frat house, it was small and despite the only people in said kitchen being you and your group, it still felt a bit crowded but what room wouldn’t feel a bit crowded when you were tipsy from alcohol, and every room had either someone in a costume, Halloween decor, or both. You took a sip of your drink as you looked over at Xavier with an amused experience as he playing around with his collapsible staff he got for his costume, letting out a small laugh when he almost knocked over a spider decoration that was hanging off one of the kitchen cabinets, before he let out an embarrassed cough and sheepishly collapsed his staff. You knew that you shouldn’t have let Kate give him an item he could use as an actual weapon when he was going to be drinking.
You were dressed as Raven, Logan was beast boy, Kate and her boyfriend were starfire and Robin and Xiaver’s roommate who you couldn’t remember the name of was cyborg. You’ve got to admit, the cape was fun, and you were thankful that Kate didn’t force you and Logan to paint yourselves gray and green respectively. You 5 have been making your way down frat row for the past 2 hours at this point, hopping from one party to another, and were planning on leaving for the next one, but wanting to raid the candy basket and take a few beers for the road (aka, the 4 minute walk).
Tonight was great, a nice way to unwind after the absolute roller coaster of emotions you’ve been on recently, school was starting back up, skating practices have only been getting more intense as you and Logan practiced for sectionals, and you still had absolutely no idea what was going on between you and Miguel, despite the good terms you two have been on recently, you two would be relatively snarky with each other, but there wasn’t any underlying malice like there was before a few months ago. Your thought were pulled pulled out of your head and your hand was tugged and you found yourself following behind Kate and the rest of your group and you all exited through the back door in the kitchen, and makes your way to the next frat house, Logan unlocking the gate that separated the front yard with the back one.
As you entered the next party, the song Goo Goo Muck was finishing up before transitioning to The Create from the Black Leather Lagoon, both from The Cramps. Despite your best efforts, and both your and Kate’s tight grip on each other’s hand, you had found yourself becoming separated from a majority of your group and you wondered deeper into the crowd, the stench of alcohol and weed filling your senses as you felt Logan’s hand tightened on your shoulder, you had officially lost the others.
You and Logan decided to make your way up to the second floor of the house, wanting to see if there was a way to get out to the balcony that you saw on your way in, knowing that you’d get a good view of the night sky. Eventually you two did make your way outside on it, Logan leaning against the railing while you were sitting down on the floor, using your cape as a makeshift blanket to keep your ass from touching the wood. Both of you sipped on your stolen beers as you both talked.
“I think I saw your ex on the way up here.” You throw out the information to him nonchalantly, causing him to choke on his beer a bit, a hand coming up and patting on his chest to try and help regain his composure.
“Um, you-you did? Where?” He stuttered as he attempted to act normally, but you noticed as he straightened up a bit from his position against the railing.
“By the bathroom-“ you didn’t get to finish before he ran back inside, a heavy sigh leaving your lips as you were left alone outside, knowing it was better to not follow him and attempt to stop him. Taking a sip of your beer, your eyes drifted back to the night sky, how you wished you could actually see the stars, but due to all the light pollution that was only a simple wish, grabbing your cape and wrapping it tightly around yourself in an attempt to help warm yourself up, mentally cursing yourself for not wearing tights as you looked up at the gray night sky.
“¿Qué estás haciendo aquí solita, princesa?” A deep voice asked you from behind you. [What are you doing here all alone princess?]
“Hey to you too, Miguel.”
A silence fell over you two, before you heard his heavy footsteps make their way over to your direction, you didn’t glance over to look at him until you saw him entering your peripheral vision. Your lips pull up to a small smirk, a hmph leaving your mouth as you glance up at him, before you finally break the silence.
“A vampire? I was expecting more from you.” You teased with a snort, causing his to scoff in response, before moving to go sit next to you, which surprised you slightly but you decided not to say anything.
“I’m the phantom of the opera, and I don’t wanna hear it from you, (Y/N). What are you supposed to be? Some sort of witch?”
“No. I'm Raven from the teen titans! Ya know, the DC character?”
“Oh, sorry. All my superhero knowledge comes from Peter and he’s more of a Marvel guy-“
“I’m more of a Marvel person too and even I know who that is!”
“Well I’m not a nerd like you are.”
“Rude! Says the one dressed as a character from a musical.” You giggled with a scoff, and it wasn’t until your giggles subsided that you realized that you’ve two gotten closer in proximity during your little back and forth. You thought, maybe it was just you and the alcohol in your system, but when you noticed the sudden shift in Miguel’s eyes, and the way his Adam’s apple bobs up and down as he swallowed some saliva.
You both just sat there for a while, staring into each other’s eyes, neither one daring to move, afraid that if you did, the moment of tension between you both might disappear, so, for what felt like an eternity, you both just stared at the other. Eventually, you grained enough control over your body to open your mouth to say something, to say what? You weren’t sure, but before a single syllable could even leave your mouth, Miguel took the opportunity to lunge towards you and smash his lips into yours. Immediately, you melted into the kiss with a sigh, your hands going up and snaking around his neck before pulling him closer, causing a quiet groan to leave Miguel’s mouth. Small whimpers and moans escaping your lips as his rough hands landed on your exposed thighs, the goosebumps that were already forming on your legs became more prominent as Miguel slipped them down and onto your ass, giving your cheeks a firm squeeze, before pulling you into his lap. You let out a squeal as your hands drop down to his chest instead, your knees landing on either side of his hips, the thin cape of his phantom costume doing little to help cushion them from the hard cold wood of the balcony. Your head was swirling, both from the alcohol and the make out session, and it didn’t help that you could feel his bulge from where you were sitting straddled on top of him, he pulls away first, given you both a chance to grasp for air, before his head dips to begin peppering kisses down your jaw and neck.
God, you’ve never wanted this man more in your life then you did right now, and you know that Miguel was feeling the same way about you, but you both knew there was a better time and place for you to both succumb to those urges, so with a final kiss your neck he pulled away from you, you shift to sit on his thighs, both of your chest rising and falling rapidly in attempt to catch your breath. Miguel’s hand goes up to wipe some saliva and lipgloss from the corner of his mouth.
Once you were able to get yourself back under control, you cleared your throat before speaking.
“Look, Miguel. As much as I love making out with you on a bi-weekly basis, I don’t think I’m in a place, mentally for this to continue without at least knowing where we stand with each other. I-I don’t care if you only wanna be fuckbuddies, or make out buddies, or if you want to try for something serious-but I just want to know what you want.”
“I want you.”
“Can you be more specific?”
“I want all of you, (Y/N). I want you to be mine, and only mine, and I wanna be yours.”

i love blue peep but why are they condemned to shock collar??? kinda fucked up to use ECT on a psychic without consent i’m sure there’s better stuff. or was it already there and the psychonauts are trying to figure out how to take it off??? or was it voluntary on their end like “i will fuck you all up if you don’t physically harm me?” not being judgy or anything! just trying to figure out how the psychonauts and stuff slot together in your world cause your ocs are so fucking cool
AIGHT so first off i wanna start by saying TY FOR ASKING ABT MY OCS THIS DOESNT HAPPEN ENOUGH 💝💝 this response will be layered, bc when it comes to any of my ocs, what ive written barely covers 1/50th of whats in my head. ill try and dot-point without rambling too long
the shock collar isnt as severe as it looks, i really leaned into the "exaggerated overblown Psychonauts™️ design" with it. the Psychonauts put the collar on them shortly after committing them to their psychic rehabilitation program. it generates enough of a zap to bother them, and stop their psychic power. nothing more. regular checkups are performed by Sasha to make sure the output treads the border of effective and safe
there is, as of the year our friend is 15, a psychic rehabilitation program within the Psychonauts. its mostly geared towards the youth, people with more pliable minds that tend to be more receptive to change, general age range being 13-19, and is headed by Oleander. Kylie (our pink muppet bestie) and a few others are also in this program :)
I also typecast the Psychonauts as being a bit more...antiquated with their methods. remember the psychoisolation chambers? i wouldnt put a goofy ahh psychic shock collar past them
our baffling friend has used their psychic suggestion so often throughout their life that it triggers in any question they ask or vague statement they make. the shock collar is part of their CBT, and was deemed necessary after they displayed a severe lack of control over this dangerous ability, plus their (admittedly small) rap sheet. anyone not actively shielding their mind WILL be influenced by their words
their overuse stemmed from the need to constantly use their power to survive their situation growing up. without going too much into it, they experienced severe emotional neglect, moderate physical neglect, among more nuanced stuff that comes from having emotionally immature parents
they committed crimes of their own accord. this only started a few months before the Psychonauts captured them. it's not a regular pattern of behaviour for them. they had come into contact with a psychic with similar, but much more pronounced abilities, which influenced them greatly. the Psychonauts (justifiably) fear that without harsh intervention this behaviour would escalate. this person is somewhat on the Psychonauts radar, but not much is known about them
with all said, our friend didnt consent to the shock collar. i dont think most 15y/o's would. but theyre aware of their issues with unintentional power usage...they just dont think its a big deal though. theyve never had an issue with their power hurting someone, so isnt everything being blown way out of proportion?
throughout their rehabilitation they do come to realise (much like Raz with Hollis) that tampering with the minds of others is not something done lightly. while at the start of their rehab their sentences are constantly interrupted by jolts and zaps, somewhat symbolic of their lack of understanding or care for how their words (powers) affect others, towards the end there's barely a spark when they speak. theyre even able to ask a few questions without triggering the collar, or their powers
in summary, this character has a lot of me in them, and tbh i couldve used some harsh psychic CBT instead of having to unlearn bad coping mechanisms the long, hard way. like me, they hate having a name, they love quiet public transit, they fear expectations, and they ponder where their somewhat aimless life will take them. im glad you like them, and i hope my 3am ramblings have grown your appreciation for them! i think the name J. (Jayden) Doe will work for them. for now. like me, theyll probably change it later :)

trash chan please what does
outline?? ?
have in it
Funnily enough, you actually read and beta'd the original version of outline?? ? a long time ago, but I would totally understand if you've completely forgotten it, esp because I've reworked and rewritten it a few times since then lol
This one is sort of(?) a Yoichi & AFO roleswap, though it's got a few more layers to it than that? I'm just going to post a little snippet of the outline in question bc I kinda think the concept behind it is cool and I'm going back and forth on actually finishing it
Yoichi is immortal like afo
When Afo forced a quirk onto Yoichi, he picked a regen quirk instead of a stockpiling one
This improved Yoichi’s constitution and allowed him to actually help the resistance force
1rst, 2nd, and 3rd actually managed to defeat afo, this was in large part due to his unwillingness to harm Yoichi and Yoichi’s participation in the fight
Afo was kept alive, but locked away (Yoichi may be a little petty so. Vault time)
After an *ahem* amorous exchange with 2nd, Yoichi found out he could transfer his quirk
Yoichi employed afo’s scientists and grilled him for info on certain points of quirk usage
Eventually, Yoichi learned how to make copies of quirks, and transfers copies of the regen quirk to his closest followers, granting them immortality
Bc of their notoriety and influence following afo’s downfall and the repossession of his research/wealth, Yoichi, Second, and Third are very well-regarded in the current world hero community and hold positions of considerable power
Yoichi heads the hero public safety commission and is heralded as a very important figure in Japanese hero society (somewhat corrupt)
Other vestiges are high ranked heroes with immortality and close ties to Yoichi
Afo is still alive but imprisoned, Yoichi uses him to move around quirks (The vestiges and other pros who Yoichi trusts often end up having two or more quirks depending on what they can handle, quirks are also used as a reward/punishment system in certain cases by the hpsc)
This is tough bc it takes a lot of convincing every time, Yoichi was looking for a mind control/brainwashing quirk for awhile but eventually stumbled on cloning as a solution when Ujiko suggested it
Izuku is a clone of afo designed to use his quirk and replace him. When afo becomes obsolete, the hpsc plans to kill him
The vestiges hold real affection for Izuku, but are pretty much willing to kill him whenever if he steps out of line/starts acting too much like the og afo
Izuku isn’t the first clone, the other prototypes didn’t work out because they didn’t have enough of afo’s dna/weren’t stable. Izuku is the first stable clone
He receives constant doctor’s visits bc of this, but these visits slow when it’s determined that Izuku is entirely stable and not in danger of organ failure
2nd and 3rd dislike Izuku more than the others because they knew afo personally
Izuku takes quirk suppressants (yeah they aren’t real but I like them as a concept) for most of his life, slowly being weaned off as Yoichi tries to transition him into use as afo’s replacement
Izuku’s name is Izuku bc a woman who was a dna donner for his cloning (Inko) was under the impression that the experiment she partook in was for an experimental fertility treatment (people with self-esteem issues, meek personalities, and anxiety were intentionally chosen as donners) and expressed how she always wanted to name her son Izuku (she had high hopes that the trials would work, rip)
Yoichi is personally raising Izuku, so he actually grows very attached to him
Izuku is very sheltered and not allowed to engage with anything that might cause him to develop traits similar to afo
No quirk talk, no hero or villain talk, no watching the news
Compliments are sparse and always have caveats
The outline is finished, but I'd feel weird posting more of it here bc this is technically supposed to be a snippet??? Pls interact if you have interest in it lol, I'm looking for a reason to get invested again

Catalyst: Give up...?
It has been a couple days since Cilrus has left the home of a troll by the name of Merlee who found her, retrieving her body, who she was presumed dead but was then revived by unknown means, and was taken care of until she had the energy to go back home. The goth troll appreciated the care she was given despite Merlee insisting for her to stay a bit longer and possibly help with her current situation. Cilrus refused the offer, however though thanked her for wanting to help. Though Cilrus doesn’t know if her predicament is worth helping.
She sits on the edge of her bed, staring off into a mirror that showed off her own reflection, accepting of the inevitable doom of herself and the entire universe. The Singularity has won. Her friend, who is her ex, is killed and she was brought back to life due to it. The goth troll felt like it was unfair for her to be brought back instead of Yevine. Yet, life has a sick sense of humor and continues to mock her in every turn. What can she do? Her ancestor is a powerful being and has two powerful allies by her side. “It’s no use...” She whispered to herself. “There’s no winning this. Might as well just... continue on with my fresh life... until the end eventually comes... but... at least I know it wil happen. And... it will be okay.”
“Will it be okay?”
A voice is heard, startling Cilrus as she looked around her room, trying to spot the source of where it came from. “Wh-who’s there?!” Cilrus called out.
A figure slowly fades in. Ethereal in appearance and glowing, wearing an elegant dress and seems to have a tail with lots of string around it, looking messy. Her eyes were the most catching. Black sclera with grey iris color. “Do not be afraid, my child.”
Cilrus’ expression of worry soon transitions to being calm. “What do you want...?”
“I wish to aid you. To stop The Singularity once and for all.”
“Oh? Well... I don’t think that’s something worth stopping... I’m sorry.” Cilrus merely says
“Cilrus dear...”
“First off... how do you know my name? Secondly... j-just look at me!” She stands up from the bed, walking in front of the ethereal figure. “You think I can face my ancestor? A-A-And how do you even know her?! Why would you want to help me?! Planning to use me until I am unable to be useful... like her?!”
The figure stayed silent, unsure of what else to say considering she has just met the troll. She knew this girl has been through a lot but she is determined to change their mind.
“Answer me!”
The figure took a deep breath. Slowly exhaling and began to explain. “I am known as The Demoness. My name is Kelena Cytone, the ancestor of my descendant Cylion Cytone. I believe you two have met... under... worse circumstances. As for how I know your ancestor... well... it’s a long story... Though I can give a shortened version if that would suffice.”
Cilrus thought for a moment, then finally responded. “Tell me everything.”
“I... lost my lusus at quite a young age. I had no caretaker at the time. I was vulnerable to the world until... a pair of demons took me in. They raised me. I learned many of their ways but also learned of the world I was hatched in, eventually. Soon after, I decided to live off on Alternia but... I grew... sad. Just... the world around me is dangerous. Every day you would see violence around every corner. Made me wish I could change the world. Make Alternia a peaceful world. That’s until I met your ancestor. The Singularity had a speech out in the middle of the city one day and I stopped to listen. Her words sounded genuine. Wanting to make Alternia peaceful. Stop the violence. Stop the over usage of power from the wealthy. Anything she said... it sounded too good to be true.”
“It seemed innocent at first. She had a following that grew and grew... then... it suddenly changed. I... do not know when it happened but I eventually see through her true intentions. I then received visions of multiple futures... Futures that I knew I had to stop. Or else... we wouldn’t be having this conversation. One of the futures was the annihilation of our universe. The other... sacrificing my life... and... yours... to ensure she never achieved her goal.” Kelena stopped, being ready to what’s going to happen.
“Wh-what?!” Cilrus was shocked from what she heard. “What do you mean by that?”
“In order to stop The Singularity... I only had several options... and it was to ensure that it wouldn’t happen in the future... and... to stop my descendant from straying herself to dark magic...” Kelena explained. “I had to stop her myself. Destroying a very powerful object that’s keeping her alive. The Rooted Heart. If that plan failed... I... tipped off the Fleet of her intentions and I knew... they would be afraid of this ever to surface again and therefore... you would have to die for it... to prevent her ultimate goal from ever coming to fruition.”
At that moment, it all began make sense to Cilrus. “You... You sabotaged my life... just... j-just so you can stop my ancestor...?!”
“I don’t expect you to be happy with what I said. I merely-”
“And why should I! Y-You ruined me... You fucking ruined my whole life! And during this whole time, I have been trying to figure out as to why I died, trying to figure out who I really am, and only to found out that it was all YOUR damn fault! I went out searching for answers for fucking nothing! I got my ex, Yevine, killed for fucking nothing!” Cilrus yelled. Anger is not a word she could use to describe her current feelings. She clenched her hands into fists, wanting to punch something but a part of her is holding back. Soon, sadness now overcame her as tears began to flow down her face. “I lost... the one person who I cared for... because of you... and you expect me to let you help me fight my ancestor...”
Kelena didn’t know what else to say. She is right. What the half demon did spiraled their life into what it is now and she can’t change that. What happened is in the past that is now jeopardizing the future. “I don’t expect you to accept the decisions I have made... even I can’t accept them... What I’ve done... I would have never predicted for what you have gone through... I was merely worried for the future of my descendant, the future of Alternia, and the entire universe as a whole. It was selfish of me to make those calls... and I still failed... Now I have to live with that mistake in the after life... but... I want to rewrite those wrongs somehow...”
The goth troll sobbed silently, turning away to not look at The Demoness. Both anger and sadness still overwhelming her.
“I want to fix my mistakes. I know I cannot change them. I wish I could but offering my power to you... you would have a fighting chance to finally stop The Singularity... and... possibly talk some sense to my descendant...” She paused for a moment, thinking of what else to say to convince them until one important piece came to mind. “Do you... know how you were brought back to life?”
The mention of this brought Cilrus’ attention, slowly looking back at The Demoness to fully listen. “N-No... Not really...” It was a mystery she couldn’t figure out. She knew she died. After her ancestor unlinked her soul from Cilrus’, the goth troll died as if it was the day she met her demise but then she came back to life out of nowhere. Why and how? She doesn’t know still.
“I have kept a close eye on you, hidden from view so your ancestor couldn’t detect me. And the day you and Yevine died... I... seen something I didn’t expect to happen. When you died... I thought all hope was lost but... Yevine... had a wonderful gift. Two gifts, to be exact. Her clairvoyance. Able to see the dead but also detect trouble, emotions of others. A very unique gift. The other gift... was giving up her soul to bring you back.”
At that moment, Cilrus’ eyes widened. “... What... she... sh-she...”
“You two were close, correct? Even if you didn’t have the memories from your previous life to fully understand the relationship you two had... she care greatly about you. Even enough to give up her own life... for you continue yours.”
“No... please tell me your lying... p-p-please tell me...”
“I... cannot lie about the truth.”
“She... sh-she gave up her life... F-F-For me...?” Her knees felt weak. Slowly going to her knees, she cried, audibly sobbing while hiding her face behind the palm of her hands. “Y-Yevine...I-I-I’m sorry... I’m sorry I couldn’t save you...!”
Kelena knew the truth wouldn’t be easy to fully accept but she had to bring it up. Cilrus needed to know. She possibly would have the same reaction if she told the same thing, too. The Demoness took a step in front and knelt down to the floor to their level. “Cilrus... she needs to be stopped. Not just for me... or for universe as a whole... but for you. To finally have a fresh life. It’s what your friend Yevine would have wanted, correct? Don’t... don’t let your friends sacrifice be all for not. Please... let me help you stop her once and for all. You can despise me for what I have done to you. I can accept that... but we both know that The Singularity is a major threat. What will it be...?”
Cilrus takes a moment to finally relax, controlling her breathing and to wipe away the tears. Everything that happened to her was all Kelena’s fault but she sounds sincere in wanting to correct her mistakes. Perhaps she has a chance. With The Demoness aiding her, she might have a fighting chance. She let out a shaky sigh, looking up at Kelena and nodded to her. “Okay... but I’m doing this to not let my friend’s sacrifice go to waste.”
The Demoness soon smiled, placing a hand on their shoulder. “Good. First, we’ll need to quickly search some artifacts to protect you from her magics.”

dbh-adjacent writing-program nonsense under the cut, a.k.a. let's talk a bit about WriteMonkey 3
I've used WriteMonkey 2 and 3 on and off for. hm. I guess it's gotta be eight or nine years now? but those instances of use have always been erratic and short lived, and I've usually returned to either Scrivener or, more frequently for many reasons, MS Word. (I also did just a ton of first-draft writing in discord back when I had an account and c/ped my writing from there into Word. near-peerless syncing between devices, appalling security practices. what can ya do 🙃)
anyway, due to ~circumstances~ I've switched to writing on a computer that isn't my writing program–filled work laptop, and so I've been experimenting with WM3 again because it's super lightweight due to plaintext markdown instead of rich text and I have a license key for it, which = fun plugins. it's also way less complicated and labor intensive to set up per project and use than, say, Scrivener. I love Scrivener! but scriv can be overwhelming and distracting when all I want to do is write, especially if I want a unique, quick-to-set-up theme (and I always do, because Aesthetic Is Everything), which is one of the reasons WM3 is so handy
Tumblr media
in addition to the gorgeous stripped-down UI that showcases whatever background I choose (mine can be found here!), WM3 has some really neat little plugins? I don't actually use the word-frequency checker myself, but WM3's shows you where each word appears in the document via the little indicator bars to the right of the word, which. rad! (you can tell at a glance which chapters are written in whose POV based off name usage alone and I think that's neat.) also, when you click on a given word in the frequency list, it'll highlight that word throughout the document and also display all uses of it vertically over the scroll bar path. lots of nice little visual indicators of what's going on. I just really like the design, it's simple but extremely useful and intuitive
admittedly, Scrivener cannot be beat when it comes to how easily you're able to make notes in it due to its multitude of note-taking locations, plus it has internal splitscreen capabilities that make referencing a second document a breeze, so there's definitely a mental transition involved when it comes to WM3 and its single-document-at-a-time system, on top of switching to markdown-style comments/reminders. that said! being able to not only see those comments below the headings in the left-hand sidebar but also jump to them when they're clicked? stellar 10/10 would use again
Tumblr media
finally, the repository. I <3 the repository. being able to quickly toss whatever text I'm not quite ready to delete or info I know I'll want to reference at some point in the future into the repository is great. it's a seamless process, only a couple seconds' worth of effort required, allowing my focus to stay on what I'm writing instead of distracting myself by tabbing my way through various open files to find my notes. plus the repository is searchable(!!!!!), and using it also keeps the actual text editor clean visually, especially since the right-hand sidebar can be hidden too:
Tumblr media
hm! possibly that is a sneak preview of chapter one! who can say!
so yeah! if you're looking for a stripped-down, highly customizable, portable writing program, I absolutely recommend it. there are downsides, of course, the biggest one being no official WM3 mobile options available at present, but since the program is both portable and plaintext, you can toss it into a syncing service and access it via your handheld devices that way. it's also not open source, and you need to pay to access the truly useful plugin features. with all that said, if you don't mind fiddling around with some CSS to make everything look juuuuuuuuust right, you can get yourself a really snazzy setup with relatively little effort. but maybe that's just me—aesthetic is king and all that

Euphoria: Groundbreaking Queer Representation in the Modern Film Industry
Tumblr media
HBO’s Euphoria is hands down one of the best shows out in the modern film industry that made an impact on LGBTQ+ representation in film. Euphoria's characters each add their own unique qualities to the story, but while being gay isn't their primary character attribute, the way queer people's identities are explored is revolutionary. The struggles that each LGBTQ+ character faces are unique, and their sexual orientation or gender identity is never presented as the root of their problems. Euphoria executes showing queer characters on an accurate scale, but writers make it known that it doesn't mean to say that these characters enjoy perfect happy lives. As they both struggle with their sexual confusion in different ways, such as rape or violence, Nate and his father Cal, two of the primary antagonists, serve as examples of the dangers that LGBTQ+ repression and fear can represent. In addition, Jules in the series is one of the most interesting characters in television history. Beginning with episode four in the first season, viewers get a look at her early years before her transition and observe how her terrible experiences formed the basis for the destructive behaviors she currently practices. Similarly, Nate struggles with his sexuality in other parts of  the series after being exposed to his father's collection of illegal porn from an early age(crazy I know).
It's refreshing to see the main character Rue(I love Zendaya btw) defy gender norms in her own way as non-binary individuals are among the LGBTQ+ community's most misunderstood and inaccurately portrayed individuals. Not only that, but Euphoria also does a great job on not making the idea of focusing on labels throughout the show a priority. It can be seen that each character's relationships with others around them significantly vary ever since the first season aired on HBO. To compare, other programs would use unusual couple names and revise the way the characters were depicted as a method to indicate these shifts. However, Euphoria demonstrates how present-day individuals are eschewing from cliches when it comes to romantic relationships being aired on screen. Maddie, Nate's girlfriend, bluntly asserts that "Sexuality is on a spectrum," during a discussion regarding his sexuality. The show is fueled by this informed appreciation of the changing nature of sexuality and gender identity, with both young adults and their parents exhibiting improved understandings of contemporary queer language and issues. Being rejected from one's family because they identify with the LGBTQ+ community is one of the most prevalent motifs of queer representation in literature and also in film. While Euphoria shows parents who truly love their children regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity, not many people in society can say that they can relate to this as well.
There is still much to be said about queer representation- not just on the screen. Euphoria has the potential to develop overall but the writers do a great job in acknowledging that these characters do not always have to identify with labels for their sexuality. Euphoria and many other shows in the modern film industry provide outlets for marginalized groups to seek comfort by knowing that people can voice their story for them as people from the LGBTQ+ community are included in the story and writing process of shows.
There is no doubt that some individuals may believe that Euphoria only depends on shock value to depict how teens go on about their daily lives, but others find it refreshing to witness that the show does not overlook the negative sides of exploring one's sexuality. Although the chatacters' frequent drug usage, reckless sex, and drinking might occasionally seem unnecessary, the way it captures the honesty and complexity of teenage love is spot on. Euphoria does a great job in depicting what life would be like if there were no preconceived ideas about what constitutes ideal romance as the show illustrates through its plot that it is a state in which individuals fall in love with those who, regardless of gender, make them feel secure, at ease, and cared for.

This is a viewpoint editorial by Mickey Koss, a West Point graduate with a degree in economics. He invested 4 years in the infantry prior to transitioning to the Finance Corps. Subjective worths are no other way to impose unbiased steps and open society to a list of anti-freedom and anti-individual action in the name of the higher good. The primary problem is that the people who do not worth bitcoin have actually identified that their absence of subjective worth validates the censorship of energy usage, to name a few things, in the name of social excellent. I do not believe they recognize the precedent that sets. It's not hot enough out, so we're eliminating power to your a/c. Watching "The Kardashians" is a waste of power, so we're going to minimize the quantity of power entering your home. It's not cold enough yet, so we're cutting off gas to your heater. Your cars and truck is too huge for you to drive alone, so we're going to restrict your capability to acquire fuel. Bitcoin is a waste of energy, so we require to prohibit mining or alter the code. Every declaration is basically the very same. Somebody else is imposing their subjective worths. The examples appear silly at very first look, I never ever believed a farmer would have to oppose to continue farming up until it began taking place in the Netherlands. Things like this are constantly warranted for the higher good of society. " It is therefore required that the person needs to lastly concern recognize that his own ego is of no significance in contrast with the presence of the country, that the position of the person is conditioned entirely by the interests of the country as a whole."-- Adolf Hitler There are no groups. There are no group impacts. There are just people. While we collaborate to form a society, society can not be impacted, just people. Keynesian Values Revealed I will always remember the callous mathematics utilized to validate base pay walkings in my macroeconomic class in grad school. Provided the approximated supply and need curves, we were expected to determine the boost in joblessness versus the wage gains for those who stay used after the base pay boost. To get an A+, your conclusion needed to verify the choice to increase the base pay. The method the formulas were composed determined the result from the start: The wage gains would constantly surpass the joblessness losses. Applied to a reality situation, it's not difficult to envision this holds true for all policy choices. Approximating formulas to do some mathematics to produce more quotes. We got precisely the result we desired and our mathematics supports it. Science, child. What About The Individual? I did all the mathematics properly, however my suggestion is where I lost points: " I do not suggest increasing the base pay due to the fact that it results in a boost in joblessness. Requiring individuals out of their tasks is unethical." The teacher, who had actually composed his argumentation on the flexibility of need for staple products in sub-Saharan Africa-- approximated utilizing price quotes with little real life worth-- delicately rejected the issues utilizing joblessness insurance coverage as a reason. And this was at the No. 1 ranked Public Policy School in the United States at the time. " Fuck the plebs. Let them end up being based on the federal government." Any act on a person can be validated by the higher good of society. There are no restricting concepts which slope is a high and slippery one. Good Riddance Keynes I believe the intellectual class' resistance to bitcoin is because, a minimum of unconsciously, they understand it removes their power to attempt and tweak society from their ivory towers. A thousand individuals losing their tasks is great as long as they stay faceless stats in pseudoscience mathematics formulas. What about the single mom, the single dad, the household of 5, the very first generation American, having a hard time every day to live a significant
and dignified life, to reveal their kids what it indicates to make and supply? When making those computations I might not assist however consider the damaged faces of damaged individuals, shuffling house to inform their households they had actually stopped working that day, that their teetering scale of presence in this damaged fiat world had actually simply tipped out of favor, that their future was now unpredictable. If I require to lie to myself to get an A on an economics paper, then I'm great with informing the reality. Bitcoin And The Marionette I might listen to bitcoin-famous Dr. Jordan Peterson for hours. If I'm being sincere, I currently have and will continue to do so. His present of language is highlighted magnificently in his analysis of the kids's story " Pinocchio" Pinocchio's journey leads him to accepting duty as he goes into the stubborn belly of the monster to conserve his dad. Self-actualization results in personhood. Daily obligation is the act of the daily hero. Without obligation, we have absolutely nothing. And yet without any shortage, there can never ever be duty at the macro and policy levels of society. The journey to the bitcoin requirement results in extreme self-responsibility and cuts the ties of control from the so-called professionals who so frantically wish to manage you. No longer will we be marionettes, puppets dancing along through life at the end of a fiat string. No longer will we be data and aggregates, parts of excessively and deliberately complicated formulas utilized to validate sacrifice on behalf of the typical good. It will no longer be possible on the bitcoin requirement. With shortage reestablished into the market, blanket dictats will no longer be economically practical. There is no society without the person. There are no social impacts. Just people making choices on the margins. Compromising people is and constantly will be unethical. If you desire a much better society, obligation is most likely an excellent location to begin. Bitcoin repairs this. This is a visitor post by Mickey Koss. Viewpoints revealed are completely their own and do not always show those of BTC Inc. or Bitcoin Magazine. Read More

This Month’s Review...
Tumblr media
We read twelve books this month, apart from the four I’ve uploaded. I was supposed to work on this post yesterday and post today, but my neck was bothering me (and still is wtf) and so I’m doing this today.
Week One:
The Mother [Gorky, Maxim]: 8.5/10
Great book, I like Gorky’s style and I understand the point we wanted to convey. Based on true events, the story follows Pavel and his mother (the true protagonist) and Gorky shows the spirit of the proletarian movement through his characters/writing.
It’s actually my second time reading it, so some things feel different to me than the first time, like Pavel’s transition from a drunk like his father to a man dedicated to the emancipation of the proletariats. It’s a liberating feeling to see it over and over, alongside the growth of the Mother, from a cautious, politically unaware factory worker to a mother who wishes to support her son and take part in the revolution? Pardon my language, but that is hot girl shit right there.
Gorky is credited with the creation of the sub-style(?) of Soviet Realism, the artistic movement most prominent at the time of Stalin, which I still have a lot to learn about and I felt like that’s why I had a hard time “sticking” to this book?
I only read this book because my father adores Russian literature, especially Gorky and Pushkin. This is one of his favorite books and I felt like I ended up reading it for validation-
Nevertheless, an amazing book! I will be re-reading this in the future and maybe I’ll do an analysis on it.
The Portable Edgar Allan Poe [ Poe, Edgar A.]: 10/10
First thing’s first, I will love Poe until my last dying breath. He has (almost) everything I look for in an author, His prose, imagery, and macabre flair??? Absolutely gorgeous.
As a collection of 110 short stories, essays, observations, and letters, you get a solid 360º of Poe’s life and work. I actually finished this in one day, I was on a 4-5 hour car ride and this was the only book that was keeping me from going insane.
He is one of the greatest writers in the U.S and internationally (imo), influencing authors like Fyodor Dostoevsky, H.P. Lovecraft, and Edogawa Ranpo (who’s name is actually based on the Japanese pronunciation of E.A. Poe). In Japan, Poe’s and Dostoevsky’s works were the first foreign works translated and brought there.
Poe has lived an interesting life (and death), which impacted his writing and many themes. My personal favorite works in this collection are “Berenice”, “Ligeia”, “The Philosophy of Composition”, and “Art and the Soul”!
My money was well spent on this book, I’ll definitely come back to read it time to time. I’ll put my Poe post link here!
Invisible Man [Ellison, Ralph]: 9.5/10
Absolutely powerful and insanely complex, Ellison writes about one Black man’s struggles from expulsion to racial riots, he creates a work of art that generations on top of generations will relate to.
This is my first work of Ellison’s, and I am in LOVE. I admire him and his descriptive language, he makes reading worth-while. I’m definitely going to try and read more Black literature in February because it’s going to be Black History Month!
After finishing this book, I was hit with deja vu, like I had read something similar before. It was Dostoevsky’s “Notes from Underground”. After doing some research, I had found out that Ellison was directly influenced by Dostoevsky’s Underground Man and the structure of his work was similar to that of “Notes from Underground”!
This book holds a special place in my heart as a WOC and third-culture kid, even though I’m not Black.
I would give a bit of a warning to those who are sensitive to/ triggered by violence, discrimination, usage of racial slurs, death, etc, but that’s what the story is suppose to show, making it a flavorful read.
I would like to recommend this book to everyone, it’s amazing! The idea of a man who is not physically invisible, but socially invisible because people choose not to see him is such a mind-boggling concept. The beginning and epilogue are single-handedly the best things since sliced bread???
I actually bought this book at the destination of the 4-5 hour road trip after one look at the blurb, and I don’t regret bringing more books on the trip because this one kept me occupied!
Week Two:
The Collected Tales of Nikolai Gogol [Gogol, Nikolai]: 10/10
We need to talk about Gogol, seriously.
This man was a true literary genius? He is one of Russia’s most praised authors and he’s not actually Russian? He was Ukrainian and used his view as an outsider to write about Russian society/life with elements of satire and the grotesque, making his work very crunchy!
(He’s my beloved Russian literature husband, no. 2)
It’s actually said that Akutagawa took inspiration from Gogol’s work “The Nose” for his own work of the same name! I love seeing some of my favorite authors influence each other.
Also, Gogol’s stories are so absurd, you’ll laugh until your heart stops, The “Diary of a Madman” and “The Nose” are absolute comedic goldmines, but we can’t just forget “The Overcoat”!
Fun fact: E.A. Poe and Gogol were born in the same year (1809) and both are now considered the some greatest authors. They also used similar themes and both inspired Dostoevsky. I felt like they may have been very good friends or would burn each others manuscripts- (Also Gogol’s birthday is on April Fool’s Day)
In conclusion, go and read Gogol’s works! I highly recommend “Diary of a Madman”, “The Overcoat”, and “The Portrait”!
Eugene Onegin [Pushkin, Alexander]: 11/10
This is a work of art, the fountainhead of Russian literature, Alexander Pushkin, everyone!
Reading a realist novel in the style of Romantic poetry makes me feel emotions I’ve never felt before. I feel like we don’t talk about Pushkin enough, he’s Russia’s greatest author, paved the way for other writers, yet many people still don’t know who he is outside his home country???
I actually started to appreciate poetry because of him (and Poe) and I wrote my final assignment paper on him!
I like Pushkin’s prose, it’s amazing how he could tell a story about three men in poetry. Lensky was my favorite :)
Alexander Pushkin deserves all the love in the literary world, “Eugene Onegin” may be the best book I read this month. I know since it’s a novel in verse (poetry), it may look at little challenging at first, but it’s seriously worth all your time, it’s insane.
There’s so much more I want to say about Pushkin and I’d like to read more of his work!
A Thousand Cranes [Kawabata, Yasunari]: 9.2/10
As expected of the 1968 Nobel Prize (in Literature) recipient! I definitely enjoyed this one better than “Beauty and Sadness”!
Fumiko, my girl. I just felt so bad for her throughout the whole book. Imagine the guy you’re serving tea to has had a sexual relationship with your mother and she takes her own life? I don’t think I could live with that.
Also leave Chikako and her birthmark alone, damn you guys are mean-
There’s a certain poetic-ness to Kawabata’s works and I live for it. I really liked the last chapter, I almost cried while reading it. Kawabata makes self-destructive habits so much more alive with his words.
It’s a very short book, only 100 pages long, so there’s not much to say; I finished it in one sitting!
Of Dogs and Walls [Tsushima, Yuko]: 9/10
I ugly-cried while reading this, so I can’t give it a 10.
There are two stories in this book, The Watery Realm and Of Dogs and Walls, both are really sad if you think about it. In the first one, the narrator (who I think is Tsushima herself) says that no matter how horrible her husband was, she couldn’t bring herself to fully resent him, because he was the man she loved and married. The narrator also talks about how her mother beat her because she was her mother’s only child since her brother and sister knew their father, but not the narrator.
Tsushima’s works often talk about childhood and how it shapes our memories, as well as single parent life.
in Of Dogs and Walls, A girl’s childhood memories and family’s dog, become the most important pieces of herself, and she reminisces about the days she used to take care of her older brother.
Tsushima has won the Akutagawa, Izumi Kyōka, and Tanizaki Jun’ichirō Prizes, some of Japan’s most highly coveted literary prizes!
Fun fact: Her father was the famed I-novelist, Dazai Osamu, whose real name was Tsushima Shuji, I’ll put a link to my Dazai post here
The Stranger [Camus, Albert]: 8.9/10
I’m going to be very honest here, “The Stranger” is overrated-
I love Camus, but I feel like “The Stranger” has been abused by the media and the people, it’s lost its flavor?
Meursault’s mom dies, he freaking shot a man, and the only thing he talks about when on trial is his mom? Although that might be a leitmotif trying to prove Camus’ point on philosophy.
I understand that this book is to explore the “nakedness” of humanity and absurdity as a philosophical idea, but it seems overbearing to me. The whole book made me feel nauseous as I write this review,
But I do like Camus’s writing style, the short sentences sometimes say more than Dicken’s five page description of a house-
I guess I have a love-hate relationship with Camus, I like the style, but not the plot.
Week Three:
Anna Karenina [Tolstoy, Leo]: 10/10
There is a lot to unpack here, I might make a separate post on it sometime.
You have the life of the fortunate but unhappy Anna Karenina and her drama-filled, self-destructive life (and affair with Vronsky). Amongst this chaos, is Konstantin Levin, a man who struggles to find a meaning in life.
Read this for Levin, trust me, it’s such a wonderful experience.
A perfect mix of living-room drama and pensiveness, Tolstoy’s usage of polyphony makes the lives of all of those involved with the Karenins and Levin unique.
Truth be told, I did not like Karenin from the start, I was ready to fight this man with my bare hands and a spoon, but when he visited Anna when she was supposedly dying? The tenderness of the moment had changed my mind of him completely, along with when he was taking caring of Anna and Vronksy’s baby girl when she rot away, knowing that the child was not his own? Forgiving Vronsky??? I was trying very hard not to cry.
I think I relate to Anna a little too much, help- (Anna kinnie moment haha) But my favorites are Kitty, Dolly, and Levin!
Kitty and Levin were so cute, esp whenLevin was coming home from looking at a plot of farmland (?) and all he could think of was arriving home and kissing Kitty??? Oh, great heavens, someone get me a cold towel and glass of water. (Felt like their relationship might have needed a few couple’s therapy sessions but)
There is just so much to this book, and I’m sorry for not being able to do it justice-
The Myth of Sisyphus [Camus, Albert]: 9/10
This. This is a work of art.
Definitely prefer this over “The Stranger”. As a philosopher, Camus loves to talk about the absurd and how life revolves around it.
The one thing Camus and I have in common, we both have an interest in Dostoevsky, Camus’ essay on Kirilov is so good as a character analysis and a way to further Camus’ point, so I won’t be giving it away, please go and read it!
This book is also pretty short, so I don’t want to give a lot of it away. I found “The Myth of Sisyphus” pleasing to read, I might use it as inspiration for my next work.
The Makioka Sisters/Light Snow [Tanizaki, Jun’ichirō]: 10/10
My first and last complaint is the title. What is “ThE MaKiOkA SiSteRs”? The original title is “Light Snow” and it’s said that the translator Edward Seidensticker had difficulty translating the title since a direct translation wouldn’t make sense to foreign readers.
Has a bit of a gossipy air around it? Sort of like a conversation I would overhear at a brunch?
The story is about the titular Makioka sisters, a once well-off family from Osaka, now with their declining fortune, they struggle to find a husband for the third sister, Yukiko. The youngest sister, Taeko, is waiting for Yukiko to get married, so she can come forth with her relationship with Okubata. But Taeko has feelings for Itakura, a photographer who rescued her from her sewing school during the flood in the story. Taeko’s affection for these men end up getting her disowned by her family-
The air of the start of WWII and Allied occupation in Japan also play a part in the story, it really adds spice to the decline of the Makioka,
This was actually my first Tanizaki work, and I enjoyed it very much. I like Japanese literature because it’s themes and writing styles are different from that of Western styles and I really like Tanizaki’s writing!
I look forward to reading more of his works :)
The Flowers of Evil [Baudelaire, Charles]: 8.7/10
Going to be serious here, I don’t really read poetry. It’s never been my thing, I never end up finishing a collection.
Baudelaire is considered a great poet in France, along with Verlaine, and for good reason. He has talent, I liked his collections “Wine” and “Death”, they stood out to me the most.
I do like his usage of rhyme and rhythm, it’s a bit hard to describe though.
I don’t enjoy French poetry as much as I enjoy Japanese poetry, but I’ll have to keep looking for a poet that suits my taste.
Whew, that is a lot of words. I didn’t know how I would break this news to you guys, but I’m writing a book of poetry and will be publishing it this year! I’ll find a way to make sure international purchase is accessible if you’re all interested! Happy Lunar New Year to those who celebrate it, 여러분 새해복 많이받으세요

Was Aria Supposed To Be Big -A and Mary Drake’s third child?
After Aria arrives at the Homecoming Dance at school in “There’s No Place Like Homecoming” (1x06), and approaches the girls, who are ecstatic because they thought that Aria would bail on the dance. Aria only decided to come after Spencer announced that she wanted to be cute for her first date with Alex. Perhaps Aria had ulterior motives behind her attendance, such as... stealing Spencer’s date?
Aria said that she was looking forward to having a great time was when Mona tuned in and said...
“With no date? My how the mighty have fallen.”
By using the word (mighty), it sounds like Mona sees Aria as this person who has power, authority, ferocity, dominance, and control. It seems that Aria is the most dominant and the main person in the group. By definition and usage, this is an adjective.
By definition, someone who is deemed as mighty possesses great and impressive power or strength, especially because of size.
Synonyms for mighty include; fearsome, ferocious, big, tough, robust, manful, potent, sturdy, muscular, strapping, Herculean, vigorous, energetic, stout, dominant, influential, strong, powerful, important, leading, authoritative, controlling, predominant, and prestigious.
By the sounds of it, Mona’s seeing Aria as a leader and almost praising her. It’s as if Mona idolizes Aria. In “The Goodbye Look” (2x09), Mona scores an -A on her Math test. Mona walks down the hallway behind Aria and calls out...
“Hey, Big -A. Wait up.”
And Aria happens to respond to that as if Mona has called her that before? Aria is the only one I can recall being nicknamed (Big-A) and actually responded to it. In “UnmAsked” (2x25), when the girls are at Lost Woods Resort, Aria and Spencer are getting ready to break into Harold Crane’s office, and Spencer says...
“You’re little, but you’re big.”
In “Touched By An Angel” (2x10), when Spencer and Aria are conversing with each other in Hanna’s house downstairs, Spencer says this to Aria...
“I did it because you’re really tiny, and I love you.”
Aria and Spencer are the only ones out of the Rosewood Quartet (that’s what I call The Liars) to actually say “I love you” to each other. There is a lot of emphasis put on their friendship, and they treat each other like sisters. Their bond is my favorite (aside from Caleb and Toby’s bromance). In “Turn Of The Shoe” (4x02,) Aria starts taking karate classes, and apparently, her reason is...
“Look, I’m small, I’m an easy target.”
The thing is... I don’t buy that at all. -A has never really done anything to hurt her. It’s mainly been the secrets of the other people she wants to speak about that come to light. Exactly ten episodes later, in “Now You See Me, Now You Don’t” (4x12) in Ravenswood at the abandoned factory, Aria and Cece get into a fight, and she beat Cece’s ass. But after that rope snapped, Aria grabbed Cece and tried to pull her back up. (This is why I don’t buy Aria’s excuse for taking karate).
In “Do Not Disturb” (6x16), while taking the back entrance into Sara’s room at The Radley, Spencer prompts Aria by saying...
“Come on little big one.”
Not only that, but Aria heads straight for the closet and goes through the hole in the wall. Spencer follows to find Aria in a room with an old rusty electroshock therapy table and a cabinet of files. Aria is pretty much leading Spencer through the tunnel and to the exit. Almost as if she’s used them before.
In “Exes and OMGs” (7x08), when Spencer and Aria visit Dr. Cochran to learn more about Mary’s second and (possible third child?), he says this...
“I dealt with two of her babies.”
This is about Charles (pre-transition) and Spencer, who had been described as having tenacity and abrasiveness, but this word doesn’t just match with Spencer, though. Here’s the rest of what Dr. Cochran said...
“That baby was a fighter. Underweight but tenacious.”
We’ve never once seen Spencer getting into a fight with anyone, but she does have low blood sugar, which can happen if you’re born prematurely. Spencer was born on April 11th, 1995, and Aria was born on July 22nd, 1995. Aria got into a fight with Cece, has been told that she’s tiny and mighty. In the same episode, the girls find the lair with the files. Here’s the conversation...
Emily; “Jessica DiLaurentis had a file on each of us.”
Hanna; “All of us except for Aria. She doesn’t have a file.”
Alison; “Do you think somebody took it?”
Emily; “Yeah but why?”
Good question, Emily! Perhaps there was something that connected Aria to Charlotte, Mary Drake. In (Original GAngsters) (7x07), Alison comes home from Welby Penitentiary, Mary and Aria seem to know each other already, and when Ezra proposes. It’s revealed that Aria’s middle name is Marie, and she’s thinking, “How does he know my middle name?”
Do you remember the episode “The Kahn Game” (3x09)? Well, in that episode in particular, out of everyone, Cece chose to take Aria and Spencer to the party at Noel’s cabin. Cece was wearing red, Spencer was wearing blue, and Aria was wearing green. That color scheme made an appearance in the Dollhouse in handprints. Could Cece have been born in 1992 and lied about her birthday again?!
In “The Wrath of Kahn” (7x09), when Jason goes to Ezra’s apartment to talk with Aria, they have a revealing conversation. Remember, no one told Aria about what happened at Aunt Carol’s, which means she took her file and Noel’s.
Aria; “The fire was an accident.”
Jason; “You just said you weren’t with her.”
Aria; “Ali asked me not to say anything. We found some files that prove your Mom was in charge of Mary’s care at Radley. She oversaw Charlotte’s adoption, and the other child’s adoption too.”
Jason; “What other child?”
Aria; “I was just about to go to the Courthouse right now.”
Aria’s plan was to go to the Courthouse and get in-tell on her own. But Jason explained that they wouldn’t give her any answers because she’s not a relative. Perhaps she brought it up so she could use Jason to her advantage and cover her own ass because she’s a mentally unstable genius.
Were Aria and Spencer intended to be sisters?
Tell me what you think!
Kisses, -A.

i think it’s reasonable to think that even if they’re not commonplace, some form of hormonal treatments would be available—naturally derived estrogen has been used for quite literally thousands of years, and would at least be available for trans women like Maevaris. i haven’t been able to find much on the history of testosterone usage before like the 1800s, but i don’t think it’s that far-fetched to think that that’s a development that could’ve happened within anders’ lifetime or even before, especially since we’re talking about a world where like. magic is a thing and herbalism is widely practiced. Krem seems to indicate that there are magical methods of transition, though iirc it was implied to be through blood magic (that, or Krem has an aversion to any kind of magic being used on him)
as far as surgical procedures go i don’t think there would be much available? at least not for trans men, which is part of the reason i drew anders as not having had top surgery, but looking like he’d been on t. which i think he would be, though i don’t think he would’ve started until late into adulthood.
my thoughts abt like. the timeline of his life are always kind of nebulous and subject to change but i’ve been thinking a lot lately about the subject of his name. i don’t envision his parents as being particularly accepting, at least not his father. maybe part of the reason he never disclosed his name when sent to the circle was in the hopes that no one would find out what it was—even being called Anders, as weird and dehumanizing as it would’ve been, might’ve been preferable to being called his dead name. i think a lot about the way that Anders’ name changed when everything else in his life did, and that both of those things happened as a direct result of being rejected by his family.
when he was sent to the circle at 12 i think he could’ve reasonably passed as a boy without much effort, though it would’ve gotten harder as he got older if he didn’t have access to hormones. i think it’s safe to assume based on interactions with Krem that knowledge of trans people, and respect towards them, isn’t something that’s commonly found outside the Qun (and perhaps Rivain or Antiva—but certainly not in Fereldan, or Orlais, or the Free Marches. yes i am still mad about Sera’s transphobic dialogue if you bring her to the winter palace). Anders’ absolutely miserable transition to living in the circle probably would’ve been made worse by adults in charge not understanding or respecting him.
I like the idea of Karl being the first person to accept Anders without question, to try to help him find information about other people like him with the limited resources they would have in the circle. there’s not a lot of canon information about Karl’s life, but 1) i think he and Anders met fairly young, maybe as soon as Anders got to the circle and 2) maybe by chance, Karl knew someone else like Anders—a sibling, a friend, maybe an aunt or an uncle.
his time in the wardens may have been better than his time in the circle, wrt gender. my HoF is a mage, and i imagine that even if he didn’t remember anders particularly clearly, he would’ve been Aware of him—people gossip, especially, i imagine, when confined like that. my surana is a nice boy however and would’ve tried to ensure that no one in the wardens gave Anders any shit over being trans.
by the time he ends up in Kirkwall, i think he would pass fairly well. and while he is absolutely dirt poor, i think by this time he would’ve found the resources to start some kind of hrt. he probably wouldn’t have regular access to it, and just going off my own experiences, this would’ve been something that made transition a slow process. it’s filled with constantly feeling like he’s taking a step back whenever he goes off it, when his progress halts, when his period starts up again, when he’s subject to awful mood swings from unstable levels of hormones (i also think Anders is bipolar, and i imagine some aspects of that would be exacerbated by being Hormonal)
by the time he meets Hawke and the rest of them, i think he would’ve sort of plateaued—after years of HRT, even inconsistently, he would be able to pass as a man without much difficulty. some things, like facial hair, simply do not go away even if you stop taking t.
i Do, however, think that Fenris would clock him. in an ideal world this would be because he is t4t and like recognizes like, but even if that weren’t the case, I think Fenris would be the most likely out of any of them to know about trans people—I may be mistaken about the timeline here but I *think* that Maevaris would’ve come out before Fenris left Tevinter? Fenris likely had at least passing knowledge of her, maybe even met her while accompanying Danarius if she had assumed her father’s position as a magister. my understanding is that Mae is literally the first trans woman ever to have a seat in the magisterium, and that it was a Big Fucking Deal to a lot of people. it would make sense for Fenris to know about her. also!! fenris spent time on Seheron with the fog warriors and it seems extremely likely that he would’ve met people who were aqun-athlok while there.
my point with all of this is that 1) Fenris would likely know Anders was trans even if he himself wasn’t and 2) as much as they hate each other, I think there’s no way that Fenris would out him. he refuses to hand Anders over to the templars, and I think he would know how dangerous being outed to the wrong people would be. (my thoughts are of course heading in a fenders direction, and I’m thinking about Fenris disclosing to Anders that he knows, and their shared transness being the first step in realizing that they have more in common than they would otherwise think.... in learning to understand and empathize with one another... g-d.)
that is the extent of my serious thoughts about this for now, it took me a half an hour to type this up on my phone and i hope at least one person finds reading it worthwhile lmao
(less serious thought: Anders and Fenris should have t4t sex in the back of Anders’ clinic <3)

5 Favorite First Viewings of July 2021
Quick note: Hi everyone, I'm back, things have honestly been getting better for me, and I'm glad to be on this site full of cinephiles, people that are too horny, and cinephiles that are too horny. I'll be more active on here. But anyway, let's talk about some movies.
Beyond the Valley of the Dolls (1970) (dir. Russ Meyer)
Tumblr media
CW: Abortion mention
What a picture. What a gorgeous, sexy, horrifying slice of what Hollywood and star life can do to a bunch of bright-eyed young people looking for success. Also is a critique of how macho nature can ruin friendships and romantic relationships with total ease. I was obsessed with the scene transitions, like Pet pouring pancake mix onto a plate after the abortion scene, or Kelly singing after someone screams before their murder in the opening scene.
Great, campy flick with exceptional music too.
Deep Cover (1992) (dir. Bill Duke)
Tumblr media
Laurence Fishburne plays Russell Stevens, a Cincinnati police officer who hopes to do well by the community, to make a difference. He’s traumatized by the death of his substance-abusing father, and wants to make sure that he can help the people of his own town. He goes undercover on assignment as a drug dealer, where his boss orders him to take down the kingpin. Stevens realizes the police’s own failings while on assignment. The racist abuse he takes from Agent Carver, and the realization that the police department is protecting drug kingpins like Gallegos and Barbossa. Giving drugs to Black kids and Latinx kids so there will be less of them. The cops are no different than the drug kingpins looking to make filthy amounts of money.
Fishburne’s performance is excellent, as Stevens feels he has to maintain a stone face so he doesn’t get caught by Jason or Barbossa or any of his cronies, but also he maintains a stone face to try and hide his emotion, his trauma. But when he gets pissed, Fishburne acts it beautifully, as is when he has to deliver a funny quip to counter Jason’s douchebaggery. And the production design, holy fuck, the sets and the lighting.
A perfect neo-noir for the HW Bush years, arguably one of the most timeless commentaries on the era, as well as the police as a whole.
Fast Five (2011) (dir. Justin Lin)
Tumblr media
I was torn between including this or Furious 7, but I ultimately went with Fast Five because it felt like an important turning point in the series, it's a great heist film, and it reached the same chaotic highs and genuinely excellent filmmaking that I had been waiting for since 2 Fast and Tokyo Drift.
Fast Five opens where Fast & 4ious left off. Dom is hauled away to prison on a bus. Mia and Brian drive in their high-tech cars and knock the bus over, helping Dom escape. The title drops. Fast Five. It’s such an intense yet short action scene, and dropping the title immediately after it lets the viewer know that this movie is not fucking around. It’s arguably gonna be more intense and insane than the previous one.
And it is. The filmmakers made the decision to use a lot more practical stunt work for the film, and as a result, it leads to, so far, the best action in the entire series, since 2 Fast and Tokyo Drift. It’s not just how it’s shot or edited, it’s the geography of the locations, the rooftop chase echoes the rooftop chase of Jackie Chan’s masterwork Police Story, particularly the way each character bounces from top to top.
And of course, there’s the silliest moment in the movie, the one that matches the intensity and kineticism of a film like 2 Fast, which is driving the Reyes’ bank vault throughout the street, getting chased by corrupt cops.
I know we make fun of Vin Diesel for saying “family” all the time in these films, but there’s a reason we remember him saying all of these impassioned monologues. Because he’s unbelievably sincere, and has so much love in his heart for every single person in the room. Anytime he delivers a speech to any of them, it’s genuinely heartwarming.
This is the film that finally shows La Familia in their best environment, which is working together, in a movie genre that allows them to work together, which is a heist film. And a great one at that.
Last Days (2005) (dir. Gus Van Sant)
Tumblr media
CW: Mention of suicide
Several films have been made about legendary rock artist Kurt Cobain, and for good reason. He is one of the most tragic figures in rock and roll. A tortured genius who has written and performed classic song after classic song with his band Nirvana. He was called the voice of a generation, and helped change the face of mainstream alternative rock music as we know it. But with that fame, and all of those expectations came a worsening depression and further drug abuse, and his eventual death. But most of the films about Kurt Cobain ask one question which gets under my skin way too much:
“Who REEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALLY killed Kurt Cobain?”
It was him. He did. And it’s okay, I’m sad too. Thinking that Kurt Cobain was murdered is completely ignoring the depression that he faced. And despite Last Days being more inspired by the death of Cobain rather than actually about it, it feels much more honest than the conspiracy documentaries on his death, wanting to leech off of his dead body.
This is the last installment of Gus Van Sant’s “Death Trilogy”, the previous two installments being Gerry (2001), and Elephant (2003). While I have not seen Gerry, I have seen Elephant though, and love that film for its minimalist, raw nature, and its boldness for not romanticizing the school shooter or the lives they had taken. Last Days falls into that trap once, as I don’t agree with the shot of Blake’s soul climbing up a ladder, that always struck me as cheesy in a film that is anything but.
Last Days is similar to Elephant in terms of the way it is filmed. Its usage of long takes, and still shots of characters doing various things, such as Blake playing his guitar behind a drum set. The way these moments are shot is similar to a Chantal Akerman film, particularly Jeanne Dielman. Where the acts of the mundane are the stars of the film. Blake wanders around an empty house, and the viewer can feel the pain, not just through Michael Pitt’s acting, but from the house itself. Its decay, its paint peeling from the walls, from the soft glow of the lamp that lights his face.
I say this is the most honest film about Kurt Cobain, because, despite the characters technically being fictional (the main character who looks, walks, and acts like Cobain is named Blake), this film focuses on the mental state of a person before they eventually take their own life. They’re still working, still making music, still trying to talk to friends and bandmates, but the depression lingers on. Not once does this film try to make you believe that someone else killed him, because you can see the signs of his own suicide taking place just through the film’s excellent cinematography by Harris Savides, showing his mental state only growing worse through the production design.
And it’s empathetic with him. There’s no judgement for leaving rehab, there’s no finger-wagging at him or the people he was with, there’s just a silent prayer at the end of the film, hoping that he is in a better place than he was.
Sometimes you don’t need to show every event that led you to where you are, all you can show is the moment, which also makes this better than most biopics as well, as it never feels messy or muddled, just showing one moment of Blake/Kurt’s life.
I really loved this film, and I’ll be writing about it in full soon.
The Village (2004) (dir. M. Night Shyamalan)
Tumblr media
The Cracked.com/Channel Awesome audience stuck in 2012 will tell you that this was the beginning of the end for Shyamalan. That this was when people stopped taking him seriously, that this was when he became more of a punchline because of his twist endings.
But why?
The Village was released in 2004, deep in the Bush administration, during the early stages of the Iraq War. The leaders of the time were talking about imaginary boogeymen, terrorists that would attack the civilians if they could. Because of 9/11, politicians could get away with these false ideas with the majority of Americans fully believing them. The boogeymen in The Village are “The People We Don’t Speak Of”, monsters attracted by the color red. Yet we find out that they are all costumes made by the Elders of the land, designed to prevent people from going outside the land. They rule by fear disguised as love. They’ve gone through their own traumas through the deaths of their family members, but they’ve decided to completely abandon the lives that they’ve had and have their children living lies.
9/11 impacted American life by teaching citizens to live primarily by fear, to not trust anyone but their own people. And yet, post-9/11, all that increased was not “coming together”, but hate crimes against South Asian people. The rage white Americans had felt led to conservative politicians pushing fear-mongering agendas, and said white Americans blindly accepted. The outside world was progressing, but too many people were fine with living with further conservative politics only regressing American life further and further back, all for the illusion of safety. Meanwhile, the only threats to them were not the brown citizens outside of America they were so afraid of, but the white elders, the white politicians.
The Village explores these fears so eloquently, all while having a terrifying atmosphere, an enchanting score, and brilliant sound design. I enjoyed this movie very much.

Debunking ‘gender identity’ by gender ≠ sex.
Having gender identity may seem noble divergence from our gender rigid society, the solution to stop such and embrace self-expression.
Tumblr media
However after examining it through, ‘gender identity’ the way the ideology says doesn’t really exist and actually still perpetuates gender conformity.
And no, there’s no need for “there’s only two sexes” or any science  argument at all to disprove gender identity. Gender ideology so f l a w e d that it can do it perfectly itself out of any of above the fastest just by Gender ≠ sex.
You probably read many things that try to disprove gender and thought it was wrong or outdated that scientist have discover there’s people with XXXY.
But after reading this, If it doesn’t peak you or at least make you question gender, then i honestly really don’t know what will other than to call you deluded.
What is Gender
Gender ≠ sex is the essential foundation of gender.
To order to know the difference, we need to know what individually each are.
Gender is a social construct
Gender Identity
Gender expression
That means.
Sex is a physical construct
Sex
Sexual orientation
The first thing that instantly break Gender ≠ sex
“Sex is not binary, Sex is a spectrum or intersex exist”
That already outed you as a hypocrite especially when responding to “there’s only two sexes” saying that they’re conflating sex and gender.
Why should sex being binary or not be relevant to gender identity?
Tumblr media
LGB and T are antithetical.
Since Gender ≠ Sex, LGB and T shouldn’t be consider one.
Sexuality is a Sexual orientation not a gender orientation, to suggest it means gender too is conflation.
For a trans-woman to say they’re lesbian or a trans-man to say they’re gay is incorrect & impossible because they’re straight. Gender identity doesn’t shift sexuality status because they’re separate things and to suggest so is homophobic. For a trans to say that invalidates their identity is another conflation of gender and sex.
LGB is a sex-based group while T is a gender-based group. One’s based on sexual attraction and the other is based on changing gender, they are absolutely nothing alike.
‘Cis’ is enough entitlement to be trans exclusive.
Terfs don’t like being called ‘Cis’
But let’s say they drop the belief that “transwomen aren’t real women” and say “transwomen aren’t ciswomen” and want spaces of their own
They put the ‘Cis’ prefix
Cis woman schools
Cis woman attracted
Cis woman bathroom
Cis woman sports
Cis woman locker rooms
Cis woman administrator
Cis woman health
Cis women history
etc.
Instead of saying “only women can breastfeed” they use “only AFAB can breastfeed”.
According to TRA logic, all that would be valid.
To for one to say that’s segregation, you would also have to believe separation of men and women or other types groups is segregation as well. A Cis person doesn’t have the trans experience and that goes the other way around.
‘Transwo/man’ is transphobic itself.
Gender ≠ Sex physical transitioning would be a conflation.
If it’s not a conflation, that would imply that physical features are social constructs which includes reproduction, sexuality etc.
Gender is a social construct, all you need to be a gender is identify.
Gender dysphoria is only a social dysphoria, if it’s about the physical then it’s really sex dysphoria. To say it isn’t is conflation.
But even identifying as a ‘wo/man’ itself also is transphobic because the meaning behind it is sex base.
the definition of wo/man.
Adult human fe/male being
What does fe/male mean?
(Female) of or denoting the sex that can bear offspring or produce eggs, distinguished biologically by the production of gametes (ova) which can be fertilized by male gametes.
(Male) of or denoting the sex that produces small, typically motile gametes, especially spermatozoa, with which a female may be fertilized or inseminated to produce offspring.
One can go down in the definition to point that it also means this.
Relating to wo/men or the fe/male gender.
To say wo/man in the definition also refer to gender, isn’t that a conflation and breaking Gender ≠ Sex? My oh my so many usage of the word conflation.
Gender identity.
Non-binary is not a gender, nothing of it say it’s a gender. It’s just non-binary of something which is usually assumed of not being man or woman. But not being a man or woman doesn’t say of what it is only of what it is not. If the binary part is something else that mean a person who identifies as a woman or man (including cis) can be considered non-binary. Non-binary is really just a slot.
Tumblr media
So far the solid identifies are
Man
Woman
Neutrois
Queer
Agender
Androgyne is both man and woman. Genderqueer wo/man is both of queer and wo/man. Pangender is all.
Everything else is either a flux, degree, combination of the above or based on a different concept. Things like such as bigender are umbrella because it doesn’t specify if it’s man or woman or something else.
That being said, the only one that’s truly gender non-conformist is agender. Queer is still gender conforming just not to man or woman.
What are the distinctive qualities of each identity?
It’s said that gender expression is different than identity and that someone who identifies as a boy can be very feminine still.
So we’re not gonna use association of masculinity, femininity etc. to define it then.
So what identity mean is it’s usually answered as someone’s ‘personal sense.’
If it’s a personal sense that mean it would be mean it’s a personal construct.
Personal or social construct regardless, it doesn’t say the characteristics. If you can’t point out what to define the labels become hallow.
There’s many things that aren’t concrete that can show one it’s existence.
An abstract thing like 1, can present it’s existence.
A thing we cannot fully see of like the 4D can present it’s existence.
Tumblr media
Even pseudo scientific like zodiacs signs have specific qualities to describe, personality types and even religion has something to define.
In the means of gender, all the identities really sums down to meaningless labels. In the means of sex, the word woman or man are names for physical characteristics that is observed at birth.
Problem with “assigned gender identity at birth”
No one was “assigned” at birth, “cis” people don’t match what their doctors assign. Assign word implies duty and a job. Assign is often a thing that doesn’t always taking what the subject is to account, for example you being assigned to a seat is sometimes random and not based your rowdiness or attentiveness.
The doctor characterised people a ‘wo/man’ based on observing them. Woman and Man are distinguisher (just like fruits and veggies) of physical characteristics.
Tumblr media
People are assigned a gender expression at life.
Gender identity doesn’t exist other than being a label, gender identity is based on sex hence that label. What’s assigned is actually gender expression.
What Society does
(Biology) Sex gender identity ↓ ←gender expression (Society)
↓ Gender identity → gender roles
What TRAs think to solve it
gender identity ←gender expression (society)
Gender identity → gender roles
Sex ← gender identity (society)
Sex Ⓧ gender identity (society)
Sex → gender identity (different)
↓ gender identity (different) → sex → society → expression = gender roles
What Gender critical think to solve it
Sex → gender identity → gender expression→ society = gender roles
Putting it to perspective
Whenever GC say this:
Sex → gender identity
This is how TRAs view it:
gender identity ←gender expression (society)
Gender identity → gender roles
Sex ← gender identity (society)
↓
Sex → gender identity = gender roles
and thus GC = society pushing gender norm
and the TRA misses this:
→ gender expression→ society = gender roles
Gender ideology pushes gender conformity, just in backwards.
Tumblr media
Society enforces femininity on women and masculinity on men to maintain a heteronormative hierarchy aka patriarchy.
Gender ideology is a patriarchal chest play to keep people from actually breaking such status quo by putting the gender role but backwards.
Societal gender roles
Women must be feminine
Men must be masculine
Gender ideology
Feminine is woman
Masculine is man
Neither is non-binary
Anything else it’s a new gender
‘Cis’ means comfortable of the societal gender role
‘Trans’ means not comfortable of societal gender role
GRA say expression is different from identity to hide the fact that it in a way still pushes gender conformity. They confuse the names for physical characteristics ‘wo/man’ as entire gender construct and expression.
Here’s the damage Gender ideology does.
So far GRA activist blur what sex and gender is, despite their gender ≠ sex.
Blurring gender and sex create problems for the LGB and women, by making anyone able to appropriates them by identification and transing so long as they feel it, remember these two groups are on the oppressed side. There isn’t even a qualification (not even dyphoria) to be considered trans. Growing kids & teen are getting into this as well ruining their bodies, ask yourselves how are they old enough to block puberty but not drink alcohol?
People’s motivation for why they want to of certain gender is not look thorough enough.
People in general again who again don’t fit with gender norms
Women with internal misogyny/trauma
Gay/Lesbian with internal homophobia/trauma
Men who want more access to women for misogynistic reasons.
You cannot ever feel something you cannot comprehend.
And you cannot ever comprehend not feeling it.
One’s thought of feeling or not like a boy/girl comes were form by the brain cells of XX or XY chromosome or whatever.
Here’s a color analogy i have to show case the difference between one who feels like wo/man vs someone who actually is.
Identifying as one.
Tumblr media
Actually being one.
Tumblr media
The gender dysphoric pandemic
Tumblr media
The correct word for what people mean by gender dysphoria would be sex dysphoria people who are dysphoric of their physical sex body.
Sometimes transsexual need mechanical intervention to relief their sex dysphoria.
Most people who are ‘trans’ aren’t transsexual as that is rare and projecting the gender dysphoria to their bodies instead should be towards society. There’s some types of transwomen who have autogynephilia (reverse heterosexuality, which is nothing wrong in of itself but alot of them are doing bad with it) are motivated by sexuality and is projecting that thing of wanting to become the opposite sex.
Gender dysphoria
A lot of people in the world have gender dysphoria some in more degree than others.
Many movement where brought out because of gender dyshoria
LGB because gender roles often link to heteronormative.
Feminism/Women’s rights including the ‘Terfs’ is a inherently gender dysphoric movement.
Gender criticals are inherently gender dysphoric.
What trans movement doing is conflating gender dysphoria with sex dysphoria but they are actually perpetuating gender norms.
The only gender construct that matters is identity which is woman or man because that exist to distinguish people of certain biological characteristics. “Masculinity” and “Femininity” isn’t real, they’re just many expressions boxed into one or the other enforce to people into gender roles which are by large hierarchy called patriarchy. If there is natural patterns that’s sex behavior.
Most people in the trans community aren’t bad, they’re being exploited by the people who are bad. The people who are bad are motivated to destroy children, LGB and women’s rights, depressedly under all this is essentially a men’s right movement but left wing. We need to take those men (and few women) with evil intent to account now.
Right leaning and traditional etc. people role in this whole thing.
Conservative/traditionalist/religious people who claim to be gender critical, are most of times far from it and are in fact gender rights activist but trans critical that’s the only different between them and the bad trans people above. The trans movement is mostly a side-effect and these people are kinda the reason for it. Gender roles are toxic considering that people especially have to resort in changing their bodies for not fitting in and the gender ideology is a outlet.
So it’s pure insanity conservative/traditionalist/religious people to keep insisting that be men masculine and women be feminine and that’s it’s all fine and fail to acknowledge, comprehend or disregard people who are gender dysphoric to those roles (feminism being the biggest example) making them seem pathological abnormalities when complaining about them.
There’s truly a lot of people who are non-conformist but were too scared to be themselves because people like them and it has been rampant for thousand of years. They use not seeing alot of them as prove to enforce their patriarchal rhetoric.
Conclusion
What people need to talk about is their gender dysphoria (but not ideology kind) but of the roles in society. Let transsexuals be their own group without the gender nonsense in peace. We need start embracing gender non-conformity without needing to change our biological identity.

Poem Review
Tumblr media
Review by Lyana
I’m Nobody! Who are you?
Emily Dickinson
I’m Nobody! Who are you?
Are you – Nobody – too?
Then there’s a pair of us!
Don’t tell! they’d advertise – you know!
How dreary – to be – Somebody!
How public – like a Frog –
To tell one’s name – the livelong June –
To an admiring Bog!
Content
I interpreted the poem as two people being alone together and finding comfort. It gives off the sense that everybody knowing who you are is not comforting at all.
Imagery
There is not much imagery but the lines, “How public – like a Frog” and “To an admiring Bog” lets me picture how insecure it is for everyone to recognize you. I would say the poem shows as well as tells the reader because it seems as though the poet is exclaiming the security in being nobodies together towards the reader.
Language
The writing style is effective because the length of the poem gives the impression that one does not want to stay in the spotlight and does not want to be noticed so it ends quickly. The diction is definitely appropriate for the poem’s content with word usage such as “advertise”, “dreary”, and “admiring bog” because the message centers on the security of being nobody and the dread of fame.
Poetic Line
The stanza use is logical because the first stanza focuses on the secureness of nobody knowing who you are while the poem transitions to the second stanza where the focus is on the uneasiness of fame.
Form & Sound: Is the form evident? What is the form of the poem? Is it an open or closed-form?  Do you see why and how the form is used? What about the sound?  How does the poem sound?  How does it effectively create or use the sound of language?
The form of the poem consists of two quatrains which have four lines each. This poem is an open form poem because it follows no specific rhyme scheme or rhythm. I see that the first quatrain centers on the security of being no one while the second quatrain centrs on the invasion of privacy that is fame.
Speaker or Perspective
The perspective is understandable because the reader is clear in what she is exclaiming to the reader and is appropriate for the content because she is sharing something in common. I believe the perspective is effective because it includes the audience in its content.
Title
The poem’s title is creative because the author is introducing themselves to the reader. It does effectively label the poem because it is giving a preview of what the poem’s message is which is safety in being a nobody.
Closing
The ending is effective because it leaves with the impression that people knowing who you are is not as great as it seems.
Originality
The poem offers original insight because usually fame is looked at as something favorable because of recognition but here, it is something that should be avoided.
Overall
This poem works because the author tries to have a conversation and connect with the reader. I appreciate that the author forms a relationship in the poem which is important when connecting with the audience. I can gain the lesson that connecting with the reader will allow a relationship to be formed and so with that the audience will appreciate the commonality.

Hi! I'm using your super cool Discord theme (v2) on a sideblog of mine. Is it possible to separate the custom links into categories (similar to how you can group text channels, if you know what I mean)? Thank you for your hard work!
hmm well it wouldn't be possible with the links as they are right now, unfortunately :( tumblr pages don't allow for grouping of links right now...
that being said.... if you're comfortable with editing the theme code itself, then yes, I could give you template code to fill in! the only limitation would be that you'd have to go and edit the HTML every time you wanted to change/add a link
template code and instructions under the cut. as always, if they're confusing or something isn't working right, feel free to DM me and we can figure out fixes
usage instructions
go to your Customize page
find the Edit HTML section, then ctrl+f to the {block:HasPages}...{/block:HasPages} part
delete that entire part. make sure you don't delete anything around it, like the Description block or the </div> tag!
replace it with the code from the "template code: HTML/JS" section below
go back to the main Customize menu and find the Advanced Options section
in the Add Custom CSS box, add the code from the "template code: CSS" section below
go back to the HTML and add links/sections - links can be added by copying over a single <a href="YOURLINK">...</a> tag. place it inside one of your <div class="category">...</div> tags - categories can be added by copying over one <span class="catlabel">...</span> and one <div class="category>...</div>, immediately after each other

usage example
assuming you input the CSS correctly, this HTML:
Tumblr media
should give you this:
Tumblr media
more specific guide
editing links
in HTML, basic links look like this:
<a href="YOURLINKHERE">LINK DISPLAY TEXT HERE</a>
with the actual URL inside the href bit, and the text you read goes where "LINK DISPLAY TEXT HERE" is. for example, this link can be gotten from this code:
<a href="https://starlightpreviews.tumblr.com">this link</a>
"channel" links in the discord theme follow a similar pattern, with the addition of an <svg>...</svg> for the # icon, and putting the link display text inside a <span>...</span> to separate it from the #.
<a href="YOURLINKHERE"> <svg width="1.5em" height="1.5em" viewBox="0 -3 24 24" xmlns="http://www.w3.org/2000/svg" version="1.1" preserveAspectRatio="xMinYMin"><use href="#img-hash"></use></svg> <span>LINK DISPLAY TEXT HERE</span> </a>
if you want to add a new link, copy this whole block of code over, then:
add the URL inside "YOURLINKHERE"
add the display label inside "LINK DISPLAY TEXT HERE"
adding/editing categories
each category has a label (<span class="catlabel">...</span>) and a group of links (<div class="category">...</div>)
<span class="catlabel" tabindex="0"> <svg width="24" height="24" viewBox="0 0 24 24"><path fill="currentColor" fill-rule="evenodd" clip-rule="evenodd" d="M16.59 8.59004L12 13.17L7.41 8.59004L6 10L12 16L18 10L16.59 8.59004Z"></path></svg> <span>CATEGORY NAME HERE</span> </span> <div class="category"> <a>...</a> </div>
category labels are super similar to links, just without the "href" URL portions. all you edit is the "CATEGORY NAME HERE" bit, which is the label for that entire category.
if you want to add a new category, copy this entire block of code, then:
edit the "CATEGORY NAME HERE" label
add new links inside the <div class="category">...</div> section
