@refugees
The United Nations refugee agency (UNHCR) has warned of a growing humanitarian catastrophe in the eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), where fighting between government forces and armed groups has caused hundreds of thousands of people to flee.
The mining in the Province of North Kivu Province is mainly for gold, cassiterite, coltan, diamonds, tourmaline, pyrochlore.
Humanitarians estimate that there are now more than 300,000 displaced people in Goma. Anne-Sylvie Linder says, “Some of them are at Bulengo or Lac Vert – where a site was prepared – as well as Rusayo, an outlying district in Goma where authorities have made several acres available. The Lac Vert site nevertheless poses a significant risk to the people there because of the potential for the release of dangerous methane gas. (ICRC.org)

yes, we shouldn't ignore the terrible events going on right now (Palestine, Sudan, etc), but I think we need some reminders because some of the posts i've been reading have been giving off *extremely* guilt-trippy vibes: Not posting about current events or bad things =/= not caring. Not reblogging =/= not caring. Adding "don't scroll past this" or "reblog this or block me" to posts is guilt-trippy as hell. And lastly, online activism is not the only form of activism.

From now until march, along with KOSA and support for trans folks/tumblr's transphobia, I'm only going to be reblogging posts about Palestine, Congo, Sudan and the potential other countries that I'm unaware of subjected to atrocities and genocides all at the same time (because just when you thought you've seen the depths of human vileness you learn about something else happening that makes you realise no you didn't). My blog's pretty small so this probably doesn't mean much in the grand scheme of things, but since I didn't completely go through with the strike this time around I feel like the least I can do is this. General reminder to not stop talking about the genocides, donate if you can, write/call up your MPs, show support for the trans community and spread as much awareness as possible about all these issues mentioned. Stay safe, everyone.

They won't call it World War 3 because the US and British governments are in the middle of it all and that would require people to acknowledge that

just venting
i mean whats the end goal for any of them
the politicians, the rich
to start a world war? to cause an uprising? an economic collapse? an unlivable planet? chaos?
bc thats whats going to happen
everything is being stretched so fucking thin that they will have nothing left for themsleves, they will have destroyed everything and then what??
wait until the last possible minute to either die from natural causes, vices, or kill yourself??
like what is the end goal? world domination? (im talking about the rich and politicians in general)
bc if its power that only goes so far. same with money.
even if you enslaved the whole world it wouldnt last. it cant it just is literally impossible
this kind of shit is finite, being a terrible person has a limit
they want to feel so powerful but is there an end?
but i guess they literally are just riding the wave until they die.
i just cant wrap my head around it
and its so fucking hard to give up. i want to give up so bad and just stop caring and just focus on whatever i want and get in that shitty richy politician mindset
because i dont believe in accountability after death, but i cant.
even with the anger and wanting these people dead and this strong beyond words feeling of hate for them i still cant fathom and understand the hate they have for everyone who isnt them or like them
if they all dropped dead im celebrating
but if i had a choice between them changing all of a sudden and them dropping dead id choose change
how does someone become like them how does that hate and anger grow so much that it practically oozes out their pores
i cant help but not give up and i cant help but have hope
their ways are not sustainable and everything is already breaking and i hope it breaks soon like full on. whatever that means

so I, unfortunately had to get a new computer a couple days ago. My older one, which we had for several years, sadly broke
I have but one complaint.
So the new charger I was given is too short to reach the outlet and the computer comfortably. So I thought,
Tumblr media
“Hey, both my old and new chargers are the same shape, so why not use the older charger because it’s longer?”
right?
Tumblr media
Right??
Tumblr media
WRONG
Tumblr media
WHY??? WHY DOESNT IT FIT???
Tumblr media
Why the FUCK????
LOOK
Tumblr media
LOOK they’re practically the SAME BITCH
the new one is just shorter and skinnier and the old one doesn’t fit WHY

Deleting non sense comments in posts where we are advocating for human rights against genocide is starting to become a sport we are all getting well trained. Keep trying people

i know this might seem unfounded and this isnt really personal to me (as i dont know any palestinian nor was they any related to me by blood). but after seeing what has been happening in gaza (or to palestine in general since 75 or so years ago), it really opened my eyes to the cruelty and the unfairness of life in a global scale. we all can be here, sitting in our own privileged houses and beds and somewhere in the world, someone is fighting for their life from a war that they did not ask for in the first place. SOMEONE’S CHILD IS FIGHTING FOR THEIR LIFE. the despair im feeling for not being able to do anything in my power to stop the harsh and true crimes of these political criminals, these warmongering beasts, these cruel evils. that the best i could do is post (or repost) stuff to the best of my reach and hope against hope it reaches someone who has better power than me.
sobrang nakakapanlumo at nakakagalit at nakakaiyak na pati yung mga walang muwang na mga sanggol nadadamay. ISRAEL HAS BOMBED 8 HOSPITALS IN GAZA, 4 OF WHICH WERE PEDIATRIC HOSPITALS. those ARE children!!!! infants, babies, toddlers!!!!!!! they have not experienced the world yet!!!! they havent known there is more to life than fear, bombs, and war. they havent even started processing the things thatre happening to them and we snatched that away already oh my god!!! seeing the picture of literal infants being off incubators and are all laying down together in a foil to prevent them from getting hypothermia, my god my heart bleeds for them.
and the women and the men and the doctors who are trying to salvage as much as they can from the rubble, trying to save anyone who may have been buried: you are all heroes. this is the best i could do but please know that you are all heroes. we wont be taking it against you if decide to overthrow a government, if you decide to be part of the resistance. we will fully support you and we will not take it against you. im sorry this is the best i can do, my heart goes out for all of you.
if you have the power to make a difference and you did nothing, you have as much blood on you as those who pull the trigger or throw the bomb. remember that.
