ooooooh wait now the masses wanna know why you hate the alex law padaobi trend in fandom!!?? i absolutely adore his haircut in shallow grave (i just adore shallow grave) but i haven’t given much thought to padawan obi with it before, besides a passing “aw cute” thought. so s o curious as to why you hate it

oooooh boy. first i have to say: i love the shallow grave look. it’s not the look itself i have a problem with. he is very gorgeous to me.

my issue is bc it seems like people didn’t give padawan obi-wan much thought until the long hair thing started, and made him more “conventionally attractive”, and now it’s like ?? that’s just what people view padawan obi-wan as. it’s weird that he’s gained sooo much appreciation only after being like … twinkified or something. these people are so weak to me. they will not survive the winter. if you don’t love him at his spiky porcupine look gtfo.

also, this trend has given rise to a lot of fics with my least favorite obikin trope in the world: role reversal au.

AND ANOTHER THING. in tpm, obi-wan was a grown man. he had chest hair and stubble and was an adult. i really hate this idea that you can only write padawan obi-wan as this hairless, slim, feminized person instead of what he actually is. like if you want him to bottom, fine. if you want him to sub, fine. but why is that only possible once you change him so much he’s not even himself ??

Alex Law x Reader

Summary: Just laying in bed with Alex and you get a confession. Always fluff. OOC Alex?

A/N: Hi! My first non-Obi-Wan story posted! Pretty exciting, eh? When I write Alex I’m never sure I’ve gotten his characterization right, so I apologize if this isn’t exact. I’m trying, to say the least. It’s also kind of short, so I also apologize for that.

The silence wasn’t bad. Really, it wasn’t silence- the city was ever-bustling outside, and you could hear Juliet getting up to get a glass of water from the kitchen. The light bit of rain falling was pattering against the window, and the wind chime you had set up in the corner of your room was quietly tinkling.

It was calming, at least.

With the fast paced nature of your life, most of the, admittedly, numerous times you were awake to see three in the morning were drunken blurs rather than memories by the time the sun rose. This time was quiet and sleepy and blessedly sober.

Your two types of late night (or early morning, depending on who you asked) did share one commonality- that being the man laying next to you.

His breathing was audible on quieter nights, but tonight it was drowned out by the rain. Though, with your head resting on his chest and your arms wrapped around his waist, you could definitely feel it. You could tell he wasn’t asleep yet, partially due to his breathing, and partially due to his fingers running through your hair.

“I love you.”

You froze. Sure, you had been dating for two years, but Alex was hardly the kind of person to say I love you. He lived fast and wild and hardly ever stuck around long enough to learn names, let alone fall in love. You could feel his breath getting faster the longer you contemplated what to say back, and you felt bad, but you truly didn’t know what to say. Of course, of course you loved him back, but you hesitated because you truly weren’t sure if he meant what he said, if he even knew what he was saying.

“Really?” You cringed. That was dumb. “I mean- are you sure?”

“Why wouldn’t I be?”

“I dunno, I guess I always thought of myself as kinda boring.”

“You are!”

You hit his chest with the hand not underneath him.

“We’re being serious Alex!” You were, however, thankful for the levity.

“That’s why you’re boring!” You rolled your eyes. “I just… everyone else I’ve been with, I was always looking for the next lay. But, with you, I think of a future. With you. Together. And I know we’re young and some fucker somewhere would say I don’t know what love is yet, but I think this is at least the closest I’ve gotten to love.”

“Leave it to you to curse in your love confession.”

“Lord, do not call it a ‘confession’, that makes me sound like a sap.”

“Aren’t you though?”

“I most certainly am not!”

You dug your fingers into his sides to tickle him, but didn’t get very far before Alex had rolled on top of you and pinned your arms over your head.

“Do you love me back?”

“‘Course I do, Alex.”

You squirmed under him as he leaned down to kiss a line up your neck and across your jaw line. He paused when he reached your lips.

“Say it.”

“I love you, Alex.” You whispered.

He finally kissed you.

How Ewan Characters Spend Their Birthday With you

Authors note: did you really think I would leave Ewans birthday without writing something for him? The faith in me is low it is! I don’t know what this is but i wanted to get all the characters in for it so here it is! Happy Birthday my lovely Ewan :) (it is 11:47 at night for me so it is still his birthday lol)

Obi-Wan Kenobi:

You and Obi-Wan weren’t really ‘out’ for his birthday but you did get up super early to bring him some food and let him know that you were around. You made Anakin and Padme sing him happy birthday (even if it took forever to even get him to tell you when it was) and you spent the time together even if you both had to work. Anyone who was anyone saw there was something special going on there. You made him get a balloon and he got one, simply because he enjoyed making you happy.

Danny Torrance:

Danny wasn’t a big birthday person either but you were so he got into it the year you were around first. You got him a cake and the two of you spent it pretty low key all thought you did get Abra to come down and do a cute dinner, just the three of you. You got him a new flannel and he basically cried. He really enjoyed having his birthday from there on out and you only got bigger with it as your dating life grew. More years and more balloons that was our motto.

Mark Renton:

Mark barely remembered his own birthday. You only know it because you were in charge of his birth certificate and knew the day. So when you woke him up one more, your hand tracing over his chest he was surprised to see there was a special occasion. You didn’t go all out but there were things throughout the day you did. For one, getting him up that morning with no clothes on.

Edward Bloom:

Edward loved his birthday and therefore you loved it. You picked him flowers from your shared garden and put them on the table for when he came out of bed. You let him sleep in, you gave him an extra long kiss and his favorite breakfast was already being made. You wanted that day to be perfect and he adored it. You went on a nature walk and played in the river together like you were kids. Many people and/or creatures came to his party that you threw and it was a whole neighborhood ideal because everyone loved him.

Dave Braden:

All Dave asked for was that you went dancing together and that was what he got. It was late and you made him dinner (his favorite mind him) and was able to put on his favorite dress of yours and the two of you went out to dance into the night. There was no doubt about the fun he was having and you kissed the night away, never moving your hands away from each other. He loved his birthday and he loved dancing with you even more.

Bob Wilton: Bob had to work on his birthday. That did not stop you. You usually enjoyed keeping his work and home life separate but that day you tagged along on the car rides, blasting his favorite music and giving him kisses when he got things done. You spent the day laughing at each other and while he didn’t get many interviews done or work done for that matter, he still chalked it up to one of his best birthdays ever.

Patrick McKenna:

Patrick didn’t really ever celebrate his birthday and it wasn’t really a big deal in his life but you still wanted to do a little something. Nothing public but when he came home that night you had a small cake you had made him and sang him happy birthday, just to recognize that he was a year older now and that you loved him for it. He thought it was so sweet he even suggested doing it again next year.

Alex Law:

Alex and you went on a drunken binge for his birthday. His friends came and they did help out but after all Alex really liked you the best. Sloppy kisses and drinking games were the best way to celebrate his birthday in both of your opinions and even though the hangover was a real bitch, you still had a ton of fun together and it became an easy tradition. Most of the years you ended up waking up groaning but going to sleep moaning.

Catcher Block:

Catcher and you spent most of the day in before he went out with some friends for dinner and drinks. It was one of those days where it was just another day but there was extra sex, extra pleasing him all across the board and extra drinking. You always had fun though and when his mom called to wish him happy birthday the two of you just laughed at each other and hung off one another before he went out with the guys. You did make him a crappy cake that he pretended to love which was about the highlight of the food department that day.

Brandan Lynch:

Ever since Brandan got out of jail you made birthdays extra special. You used to have to send him a letter and hope it got to him in time for his birthday but now you were able to really celebrate, hanging around, drinking and making out. It was his favorite day because he was very keen on making sure that the day was all about him in all regards and you let him have his day. He enjoyed that and you liked seeing him happy, so it was always an all around good day.

Christopher Robin:

Christopher was a traditional man. He enjoyed spending the day at work and then coming home to you and a cake waiting. He adored you and that cake. You had also made an attempt at putting up some decorations which he thought was adorable and you stuck with it, dancing around to his records and shoving cake in his face and kissing him. Peaceful birthdays were his speciality.

Robert Lewis:

Robert and you got smashed for his birthday and raided a bakery. He thought it was an odd crime to commit and so he made you tag along because it was his birthday after all. In the end he paid the lady and you had many pastries over the house due to his drunk birthday escapades that will forever be a fond memory. He thought it was hilarious to this day but he won’t let you tell people that he paid.

Roman Sionis:

You had many things at your disposal for Romans birthday and the party was huge. People died, it was that big. His club was turned into a large party house. The singer played only his favorites, you wore his favorite dress on you, you kissed him every three seconds and to end the night you killed someone together and then had sex, which was his idea of just about the perfect night and the perfect birthday. Romans birthday, planned by you, was Gotham notorious.

Bill Fordham:

Bill liked to relax at the house all day on his birthday. He was a very loving man and there was no use in making him leave even when you got him coffee from his favorite coffee place. He had dinner with his family and then it was back to the couch, you in his arms and watching his favorite movies. You danced together to some music from the movies and laughed and fell asleep right there. He adored it. Every single year.

Christian:

Much singing is involved in Christians birthday. You kiss by the windows and tell him jokes and sleep together and in between it all he’s singing, you’re singing. He plays his piano and you sit on it, singing over his notes. He likes to have you all over the room, doing something like singing or making him laugh with your dancing. You go out on the town and see the Eiffel Tower and dance in front of that too. Christian and you during his birthdays are extra sappy and there are many, many kisses and when you get home that often leads to other things as well which neither of you mind.

Siblings: Yup! I’m the youngest of three, four if you include my sister-in-law. It goes my brother, my sister, then my other brother and his wife then me! (we are like the Pevensies in birth order, though not personality as much, though I’ve always related to Lucy...)

Height: Like 5′6 or 5′7, I have 5′7 on my permit so...I go with that xD

Favorite color: BLUE!!!!

Why did you choose your URL: I watched a movie called Ace of Hearts, I thought Aceofstars sounded cool, so that was my username on howrse and mweor. When I joined dA, that username was already taken, I added the 16 cause it’s my favorite number, and now I use it for like...everything...xD

Bonus question: If you are transported to the world of the book you are reading now, where would you be? Keeper of the Lost Cities world yaaass!!!! I mean technically it’s still our world? But with like, lots of cool lost cities and elves with cool powers and HEY I could be friends with Sophie and her friends! Even though I’m older than all of them....I SHALL PROTECT Y’ALL! Even though...they would do a better job of protecting themselves then I could...xD

2. What’s your current job? Ummm, student, occasional petsitter and fanfiction writer...even though I don’t get paid for that last one...xD

I also want to finally rework my novel and write a rough draft for it and one day publish it. And I have some longer fanfics I want to write and stuff, and continue to improve my writing and drawing? 5. What’s your aesthetic? I love a looot, but my main ones are the stars, the ocean (particularly pictures inside waves as they are starting to fall), autumn, and anything blue, but I like a lot of other things too xD

6. Do you collect anything? DUDE I collect movie tickets too! (though I may not have a place to keep them if I get a new itouch case cause that’s where I’m keeping them all...or a lot of them atm) And also stickers and socks...xD

7. What’s a topic you always talk about? Star Wars Rebels...and other various fandoms and my OCs

8. What’s a pet peeve of yours? I know one, I thought of another one a while ago...but I can’t remember...so, when people just stand behind me and watch when I’m on the computer...xD

9. Good advice to give? Go to sleep when you are tired...like...really, I was exhausted yesterday and I just kept not going to bed...also try your best not to procrastinate, reward yourself when you get something done if you need the motivation (even if it’s something small). I need to like...take my own advice..xD

10. What are three songs you’d recommend? “How Far I’ll Go” by Auli'i Cravalho (because MOANA), “Little Do You Know” by Alex and Sierra (I blame that SWR music video for my love of this song...xD) and “Be Here Long” by NEEDTOBREATHE (or “Great Night” if you want something super upbeat)
