I have had brainrot since the animation so I'm still thinking.

Theory talk + dynamic ideas stemmed from a video I saw.

I've watched a video recently that compared Rondo Across Countless Kalpas to Lament of the Fallen (not very well as it had only the start of the fight in Lament)

And like yeah it's to compare how each Mei variant fights,

But like one is a mental representation of the brutality of trauma, the other is heartbreak and pain over self destruction over the sake of another.

And saying Black Swan's situation is like Kiana's is certainly an interesting (I mean that in a strained way) to look at things. Like I feel we aren't going to get a lot of exploration into their dynamic in the actual game because i just have a feeling they might one and done this connection outside of hints.

But, thinking how Acheron seems to be a Self Annihilator and sacrificing her memories for the power of nihility and Swan is literally a Memokeeper, all about memories, that Kiana comparison could lead to very unique dynamic ideas. Like I take that as implying Swan could be the one to help Acheron. In the description we got of Self Annihilators some seek cures and to help others find it. What would happen if one had a Memokeeper to help? Remembrance Vs Nihility as one is to remember all that existed as it all has meaning and the other is to discard all that exists for it has no meaning.

If Swan is the one who can help Acheron, would she? Or is she too startled? Would she feel it's not her fight to take? Would she turn her back let Acheron fall fully to the void? And if she did try, would it hurt her too? We saw what happened when she dived in once. So wouldn't more deliberate attempts to learn almost destroy her?

Acheswan is certainly something to think about. It could be a one and done time where they go separate ways, or it could become a complex weaving mess.

I cannot wait to get to see.

DONT YOU WANT TO LIVE ALONGSIDE HER.... MEI PLEASE #tbh. the way i was going through ch 17 for hi3.#kiana and mei remind me a lot of oz and gil's relationship back in pandora hearts but #now it makes me want to hit my head on a brick wall because #'wow. i really just gravitate tO THE SAME FUCKING MEDIA EVERY DAMN TIME AVIL STOP IT FFS'#also idk i was thinking about it too #mei tried earlier to use the herrschers powers to try and protect kiana but it wasnt enough. she failed that time #and with no other option to save her she just HAD to and it makes me HURT that this was her only option #IN HER HEAD. *On Dan Heng's bond with Himeko & Welt.

One thing I have to say about this topic is that Dan Heng GENUINELY views Himeko and Welt as parental figures, even though he doesn't mention this to anyone (not even to them). He might not know what having parents is actually like since the vidyadhara are self-sustaining beings, but he's learned how a mother and a father should be and how they should make their child feel (safe, understood etc) over time as he's witnessed parents and children interacting on various planets, and to him? these two come closest to the meaning of "parents".

They've lent him a helping hand by asking him to join the Express when he was at his lowest point (alone in the universe, hunted by Blade, loathed by the Xianzhou, formerly kidnapped, nearly died several times, so on so forth) and they gave him the choice to disembark it whenever he wants to instead of tricking or "caging" him into staying there forever; they're actively trying to protect him from anyone with even remotely hostile intentions towards him even though they don't have to (HE's their appointed guard, so they're not bound by anything to protect him other than the kindness of their hearts and their affection for him - which is something Dan Heng is beyond grateful for) and they've given + continue to give him understanding no matter what he does or says, plus they've never once scolded or berated him for any of his decisions (a thing he was familiar with on the Xianzhou, both as himself and in Dan Feng's memories).

Out of the two I'd say Dan Heng is closer to Welt since they both have very logical personalities that try to think ahead on any potential thing that may go wrong and how to deal with said thing if it does go haywire, and they're also two introverted (and a bit awkward) nerds who love learning new bits of knowledge and enjoy sharing what they've learned with each other while sitting in silence in the same place reading or drinking tea; but Dan Heng does value Himeko greatly too - she was the first person to have ever extended him a helping hand and she asked for absolutely nothing in return, which to this day is baffling to Dan Heng (she's much kinder than himself, in his opinion, and he admires her for that). She continues to be openly gentle and caring with him all the while slowly pushing him towards the life he wants to live rather than the one that's been imposed on him, and all of that combined has earned her a very soft spot in Dan Heng's heart.

Dan Heng was also the first "young person" to join the Express in a long time, and it's been quite some time since he joined and until March was found - so for a (presumably extended) while he truly was doted on by them every day, much like an only child. His thinking mirrors theirs in a lot of areas because of the time they've spent together closely and not only do they influence some of his beliefs, but he trusts them entirely. There's not a SHRED of doubt in his heart about either of them nor about their opinions/intentions/beliefs, and because of that he also trusts the conclusions they come to. Which is to say, in a lighter / funnier note, that if Himeko and/or Welt don't like you... you might as well say goodbye to the idea of ever successfully courting Dan Heng.

They're the family he (nor his predecessors) never had #replaying the old tb quests and seeing how much they love him and how much he trusts them always makes me feel so soft :')#but also they ARE very much the embarrassing parents too. go to them if you want to hear any embarrassing stories about DH #...at least til he coughs loudly to make them stop and bless the fact that they do stop AGHDSADJSAD best parents to EVER exist in HSR

#I'm actually loving that Ratio seems to be caring while Ruan Mei is more hmm ruthless perhaps‚ and definitely more uncaring and colder #I already thought this was going the direction they would take given the leaked voicelines and Ruan Mei's light cone #but I'm glad it's looking like that still #ngl I often see there's a... trend to make female characters often 'softer' than male ones #(like with Topaz and Aventurine in that last dialogue for instance. I'd say Kafka to some extent falls into this somewhat too.#Herta more and more perhaps. Himeko reads to me way colder and more detached and selfinterested than Welt #which is nice even if I have qualms about the writing there for now)#And that trend bothers me. So Ruan Mei for now is being quite satisfactory. I like that aspect of Serval too #Screwllum at times seems kinda shady as well haha I guess the Genius Society is just very shady. It fits #I talk too much #Traces

I vanished fir a while because I was spending all my time slowly making things lol.

Everything under the cut because there's A LOT of images.

Like this corset, which is made out of cotton with leather panels on the outside, because I didn't want visible boning channels. I used the cotton layers to fit and adjust the fit, but I kinda forgot to mentally remove the seam allowance on the bottom, so I made it accommodate hips that don't actually start yet. I also didn't really want waist reduction so I just made it to fit me as is, though I can probably tighten the laces if I want to.

This is a book purse made from a thrifted book. Who knew that if you put things on fabric, it bulges? Imagine that. So yeah, rip my fancy folding pleats to mimic pages. I just ended up running a thread through thr inside bits of the pleats to keep them together. Lost some functionality, gained aesthetic?

Some relatively quick and easy projects to really live my asventuring elf fantasy. Iput some change in the coinpouch and my meds in the beltbag, gotta be prepared, you know? xD

The elf ears I've had for years, but I psinted ttem with acrylic paint because they discoloured over time. I also added a bunch of cheap but cute earrings - I thought it'd be hard, got my awl out and everything, but I could just stick the earrings through. Easy!

I'm quite pleased with the finished look:
