Izumi: Are you going to be alright, Masumi-kun?
I heard you had a tough time with your role study…
Masumi: It’ll be fine.
I asked Tsuzuru to make us act just like we always do.
Izumi: (I see. So that’s why the script is…)

Izumi: (Nero and Blanc are walking through the city on their way home from shopping. Nero suddenly stops when he hears a melody playing from a streetvision.)
Nero [Masumi]: “…”
*flashback starts*
Blanbun: “Take that! We’re not gonna lose to you!”
Whibun: “That’s because we’re—"
*flashback ends*
Nero & Blanc: “The strongest Rabbit Twins!”
Nero [Masumi]: “Ah.”
Blanc [Sakuya]: “Ahaha. Jinx!”
Izumi: (What played on the streetvision was a toy commercial from a show called “Rabbit Twins”.)
Blanc [Sakuya]: “This anime sure takes me back. Watching the twin rabbits beating up wicked grownups was really cool, wasn’t it?”
Nero [Masumi]: “Yeah.”
Blanc [Sakuya]: “I’ve been seeing a lot of their merch around these days. I wonder if it’s getting popular again due to their revival?”
Nero [Masumi]: “…I wonder if we've been able to become like them.”
Blanc [Sakuya]: “Hm?”
Nero [Masumi]: “Never mind.”
-pause-
Izumi: (The two were called to the office, and once they arrived, Uryu was the one who greeted them.)
Uryu [Chikage]: “I come bearing good news. I’ve got a tantalizing job that only you twins can handle.”
Nero [Masumi]: “Eh~. What the hell?”
Blanc [Sakuya]: “That sounds sus.”
Uryu [Chikage]: “Haha. Your distrust is showing clearly on your faces.
Now. Now. Please take a gander at the materials.”
“It’s a job related to the commercial characters for a new game from a major gaming company.”
Blanc [Sakuya]: “Wait, what!?”
Nero [Masumi]: “You weren’t kidding when you said it was a tantalizing job!”
Blanc [Sakuya]: “And look, Nero! This new game is…!”
Nero [Masumi]: “A game for the Rabbit Twins…!?”
Uryu [Chikage]: “Indeed. This work has been gaining popularity again these days.”
“It seems the project this time will be a tag-team match between V-talents over the commercial characters of the game.”
“Are you two in?”
Blanc [Sakuya]: “You don’t even have to ask!”
Nero [Masumi]: “It’s a no-brainer we’re gonna do it.”
Uryu [Chikage]: “I thought you’d say that.
The materials also contain the list of your opponents, so take a look.”
Blanc [Sakuya]: “Let’s see~… Ah, these V-talents are…”
Uryu [Chikage]: “Oh, them. They’re twin V-talents who have been gaining traction these days.”
Nero [Masumi]: “Right, I feel like I’ve been seeing their names here and there lately.”

“We absolutely have to win.”

*both unleash attacks*
Nero [Masumi]: “You’re too slow, Blanc! I just told you to pay attention, didn’t I?
Follow me properly!”
Blanc [Sakuya]: “M-My bad…”

Uryu [Chikage]: “Now, now. This is just practise.
Why don’t you relax and tone it down a bit?
-pause-
Nero [Masumi]: “We absolutely have to win this time.
If we don’t, then we’re—”
Blanc [Sakuya]: “Nero…”
-pause-
Uryu [Chikage]: “Oh dear… this might be a bit worrying for the real match.”
-pause-
*both take hits*
Izumi: (As Uryu feared, both of them are a mess in their first match against the twin V-talents.)
(Meanwhile, their opponents unleash a combination without using words, and Blanc and Nero are defeated in a flash.)
Commentator: “Holy! What a spectacular combination. It’s like they used telepathy!
That’s twins for you—oh, I guess they both are though.”
Nero [Masumi]: “…Tsk.”
Blanc [Sakuya]: “Hey, Nero. Why are you so anxious?”
Nero [Masumi]: “…Shut up.”
Blanc [Sakuya]: “Geez… I don’t understand you, Nero.”
Nero [Masumi]: “!”
“That’s right… I mean, we’re just fakers.
We can’t beat real twins.”
Blanc [Sakuya]: “…!”
“…”
*Blanc beams out of the game*
Nero [Masumi]: “…Blanc. I don’t understand you either.”
-pause-
Uryu [Chikage]: “Nero, have you found Blanc yet?”
Nero [Masumi]: “No… so much time has passed, yet he hasn’t come home…
What do I do…!”
Uryu [Chikage]: “Do you have any idea where Blanc would go?”
Nero [Masumi]: “Any ideas… I’ve got nothing.”
“…If we were real twins, then maybe we could understand each other through telepathy. But we’re different.”
Uryu [Chikage]: “Whether it’s real or fake is indeed important.”
Nero [Masumi]: “…”
Uryu [Chikage]: “However, you guys are the real deal, aren’t you?”
“What’s important isn’t your blood ties or your family register. It’s the time you spent and the feelings you hold for each other.”
“That’s why, if it’s you, then you should definitely know where Blanc is.”
Nero [Masumi]: “Blanc…”
“…That’s right. He might be there!”
-pause-
Blanc [Sakuya]: “Nero…”
Nero [Masumi]: “…So you really were here.”
“When we were little, we once ran away from the orphanage together.”
“The place we ran was to the toy store. And this was where we first encountered the Rabbit Twins.”
“We swore that we would become the best and strongest twins too.”
Blanc [Sakuya]: “…That’s right.”
Nero [Masumi]: “That’s why there’s no way we can lose in this project.
We have to become the strongest twins there are.”
“Just like these two…”
Blanc [Sakuya]: “…!
I think so too.”
“What the heck? We felt the same way all along, didn’t we?”
Nero [Masumi]: “Let’s win the next match for sure.”
Blanc [Sakuya]: “Yeah!”
-pause-
Izumi: (And so, they reached the final match for the project.)
Nero [Masumi]: “Let’s go, Blanc!”
Blanc [Sakuya]: “Okay, Nero!”
Nero & Blanc: “HAAA!!”
*both unleash attacks*
Commentator: “CRITICAL HIT!
The match goes to Nero and Blanc!”
Nero & Blanc: “We did it!”

Uryu [Chikage]: “…It looks like they’re back on track.”

Commentator: “Congratulations on the win! Any comments for us?”
Blanc [Sakuya]: “That was only natural, right?”
Nero [Masumi]: “Yeah. Because we’re—”
Nero & Blanc: “The strongest twins, Nero and Blanc!”
-pause-
Sakuya: Great job out there!
Thanks, Masumi-kun. I had so much fun.
Masumi: …Well, the play wasn’t bad.
I feel like... I had fun too.
Izumi: You two were amazing!
Nero and Blanc were totally in sync. You were just like real twins.
Sakuya: Thank you so much…!
Masumi: I’m glad if you say so…
Chikage: I take it your role study was useful?
Masumi: Rather than role study… I just got Tsuzuru to make the story about the issues I thought of while I was preparing for my role.

(Chikage mentioned that you can become a family even if you’re not related by blood.
That’s not a lie. I know I feel that when we’re acting.)
(But I have a feeling he was also talking about someone else besides us.)
Chikage: Hm? Is there something on my ring?
Masumi: …It’s nothing.
Chikage: Are you sure?
Masumi: (I’m sure Chikage also has things he doesn’t want to be asked.
We’re family, so it’s alright if I don’t ask about it right now.)
Izumi: In any case, Masumi-kun and Sakuya-kun were spot on in today’s play. But Masumi-kun and Chikage-san were also perfectly in sync.
Chikage: Well, you know.
Masumi: Even if we don’t purposely try to match each other, it just happens.
Chikage & Masumi: …Because we’re family.

I saw some posts about how about there is apparently a very vocal group of people who insist that enver gortash only likes monsters??? literally never saw someone say this as some written truth. I feel like it was related to your post about enver being monster lover but that was not something that hahaha enver only likes the slayer form and hates all others, so whats the issue??? people are trying to stir up some shit that does not exist
I looked at some of their blogs and there seems to be some same people who got their panties in a twist at discord of the potential of enver liking men and calling the dark urge "them" during act2-act3 transition.. now they also hate thought of enver liking non humanoid durge lol
The 'Gorty can't be gay' bit I know, saw that a lot back when Slithering Wet Malice got removed, but people have issues with him referring to Durge as them? That's likely just Larian making their and Isaacs's life easier by recording one line instead of 3 and messing with the dialogue tree even more. Would've expected people to be happy about that if anything but alas, the Internet is interneting again today.
Anyway, regarding the main topic, I think I know which post you mean. Honestly, idk if it was related to the Monster Lover post I made earlier, but I just choose to decide it isn't. If anything, I'm a very vocal Gortash x my elven little gremlins shipper, which is even more of a minority if we're being fair. Justice for elven Durges, elf durge tag literally doesn't even fucking exist on Ao3. Idek if there's any more high elf x Gorty ships being written for, if there are, I've never seen them. That's the real takeaway, the lack of elf love.
But I definitely have, during my online life as an avid Durgetash and Gortash lover, seen some discourse about how default Dragonborn x Gortash is beastiality and how any ship besides Gortash and default Dragonborn is invalid. So these posts exist and gain some traction, at least for a while.
Regardless, I think any durgetash ship is valid, and if anything, we need more of them cuz like, we all agree they had something. Whether it is default Dragonborn, a hot elven hunk or a cute tiefling lady. Gortash would fuck any quasi-deity that has an ounce of self-control and swings his way.
Also he'd fuck the Slayer. He's nasty and an aspirin tyrant, of course he'd fuck the avatar of a deity. And that's valid, cuz if you get the chance, fucking use it cuz you won't get it again. Can't change my mind about it. Live life and let em live, all that.

The lucky 7 with over 1000+
About a year ago, I made my very first caption and since that first post, my blog has grown to over 400+ unique captions and more than thousands of likes and reblogs. With the low amounts of traffic that Tumblr has compared to other competing sites, I've never would have thought I would reach that level without your support. Yet, here I am, giving you guys and girls an occasional post.
Some of my older posts have been gaining traction for the past few weeks. Whether it's a reblog from me or from another fellow blog, it's a great feeling when I see a "forgotten" caption gain a renew of interest. But it feels even more unbelievable when a caption reaches a level you never thought was possible.
That being said, here are a few captions that have amassed over 1000+ likes and reblogs that I would like to share with you. Enjoy the post!
Number 7: Inspiring trans girls since forever
With over 1023+ likes and reblogs, this is a collection of pictures from transgender women who have been an influence for us. Some are well-known influencers and celebrities like Remi Richards and Kim Petras, others are occasional internet posters like Mikaela Ville and Michelle Alter, and some want to live normal like Ella Page. This collection is undeniably my favorite because they display actual trans women, hormones or not, and have been a few of my inspirations from growing up to right now.
Number 6: Remembering your first
My very first caption is from a well known drawing of a girl embracing her feminine side. It's a feel of ecstatic energy when you see your true self so happy looking back at you for the first time. With around 1,123+ likes and reblogs, it really resonates with a lot of people who love their femininity.
Number 5: Coming out the first time
With around 1,190+ likes and reblogs, this caption speaks volumes of how we react to our coming out. Due to current social stigma, many cisgender people often lump trans women as sissies, crossdressers, traps, and other unflattering names and slurs. The only thing we can do is to keep our heads up and walk out with grace. It's best to ignore with bigots like those, but it's also wise to keep an eye out.
Number 4: Desires
At around 1250+ likes and reblogs, this post surprised me the most! Although it was popular when I first uploaded it, it really didn't spike until recent reblogs were made! It seems that a lot of you also have a bit of gender envy, haha! But can I blame you? She's such a babe, it would be so much better being her than dating her, especially the nice rewards she will get on a nights' out. ;)
Number 3: Your fate is in those pills

Bronze prize is the HRT post. At 1,279+ posts and reblogs, it's the third most popular post in my blog. This one was one of my first posts as you can tell by the font and the color scheme of the main caption. I'll be honest: I'm not really fond of it as I used to since it seems a little "sexualizing". To be fair, it was inspired by a caption I saw in an old "feminization hypnosis" video that is now gone. Still, that doesn't mean I fully regret making this caption as it gave me more motivation to improve my caption skills. I also remade this caption into a bunch of segments. Number 2: Simplicity is sexy
At exactly 1,350+ likes and reblogs, this caption takes the silver prize! It's incredible because this is one of several captions that resonated with a lot of you! I'm lowkey, happy that we have something in common.
I can't deny it is a sexy way of embracing femininity. All one needs is a pair of black leggings and a white tank top to appeal even the most normal of guys. Meanwhile, the women would definitely feel a sense of jealousy based on how a simple outfit compliments those curves of yours. Bonus if you have long black hair, but any haircut and hair color would do. Give this outfit a try and I'll guarantee you will feel so euphoric. I know from experience ;)
But as sexy as this caption is, this one was only a few numbers away from the crown, or tiara if you like being a princess. Before I unveil the ultimate winner, I want to share an honorable mention that may ring a bell for you:
Honorable mention: Once a boy, always a girl.
This one is less popular than the previous entries as it only has around 708+ likes and reblogs. So why is it ahead of the other one? Because the caption was reposted by a fellow blog with better exposure. In fact, I actually reblogged that post as a way of saying thanks. With the way blogs come and go, I don't really mind if my work gets reposted on several blogs. It's just a way of preserving a legacy if a blog disappears one day. Oh, and combining that repost with my upload, this caption has over 2,222 likes and reblogs!
Number 1: Coming out divine
If 3rd place questioned your decision, and 2nd place answered that affirmation, then 1st place is definitely well into your change. With over 1,367+ likes and reblogs, it is by far my most popular creation! This one was very difficult to make as it required a lot of editing from the original video, as well as making the GIF without a lot of slowdown. The end result came out better than I thought. A major plus what that it was a Vine video, which lasted less than 7 seconds. However, I am not planning on remaking this GIF for three reasons: I lost the original and edited files, it was a PITA to make, and I would rather not mess with finished perfection. If anything, I would just make the GIF bigger than it is.
You can take a guess why it's so popular. From her hot body, her sexy outfit, nice curves, and the way she sways and moves, she is goals! I definitely had gender envy and gender crush at the same time! Did I want to be her or to date her? To quote a period-correct meme, why not both? Btw, the woman in the GIF is... well, all I can say is she is one of Justin Bieber's exes and subsequently had minor hit song back a few years ago.

Woweee no I have never come across this blog before. I had to read this post like 3 times to gather some thoughts on it, Christ. It’s a bit of a mess, this post, a jumble of a lot of emotion and ideas, but I’ll do my best to make some commentary. Anon, and by extension OP, welcome to the show.
First off, I’d like to say that while Harry’s team, the Azoffs, did groom him from a young age and grabbed him the second they could to push a solo career and use him as a money maker, Louis, Zayn, and Liam being inactive to a degree does NOT mean that Harry’s team silenced them. And Harry’s success wasn’t entirely dependant on their silence (it helped, sure, but my point stands). While Azoff already has a massive monopoly in the industry, they knew the right ways to push, market, and deliver Harry Styles™️ to the public. That’s why the Azoffs are so big, because they’re good at what they do, and have held a legacy for a long time. Harry was picked up by them for a reason, and we all knew early on that Harry was always going to be the golden child. He was always marketed as it, from the very beginning of 1d, and they took advantage of that. Harry was the most famous member during 1d, and he had the potential to get bigger, more flamboyant, and appeal to a wider audience. It’s very simple marketing. It’s how a career grows. It’s how managers choose their clients. It’s why A&R positions exist.
Secondly, I know it has been a topic of discussion for a long time, but Harry not denying Larry is just a thing that’s happened. Whether you believe it’s because Louis was protective and took it on the chin as the older one in the relationship, or whether you think 1d’s team didn’t think Harry would be able to handle it/make it convincing, or whether it was simply to keep Larry as a topic still up for discussion because we held on to the fact Harry never denied it, is up to you. However, if the OP wants to talk about queerbaiting, let’s do it.
So, queerbaiting, or larry baiting, or whatever people in this fandom are calling it these days, can exist to an extent (before it truly becomes unethical). Sexually ambiguous pop stars in this day and age gains traction, gains attention, double the news stories and double the scandals. Yes, I agree that Harry’s team play up his image to keep people interested, and yes, I believe Harry truly enjoys dressing/acting more freely in his life. I believe that yes, he is allowed to act more himself and open, but still under the umbrella of stunts and needing to keep his sexuality open for interpretation to leave a space open for said stunts. I mean… people are speculating his sexuality alllllll the time, while still getting the added bonus of news articles with TR… it’s working, right?
I think, personally, OP is demonising Harry as a person, and slips in and out of the public narrative at times. Like, they believe it’s his team, but also Harry encouraging it. And I don’t think it’s the case. I think Harry is doing what he can right now, in the circumstances that he’s in. He’s at the high point of his career, the peak, you really think he’s gonna argue with his team to a point of losing everything he has??? Like I’m sorry, but simply put, if Harry gets dropped from a major music team like the Azoffs, they’ll ruin his career and any plans he has for the future. Tragically, he’s so reliant on them as well, because he knows that if he ducks out now, he’ll probably have like 2 years left of a dying solo career, and a lot of harries will leave. Not the die hard fans, sure, but the GP and more casual fans won’t be attending his shows, because he won’t have that platform anymore. It’ll be absolute crash and burn. And if he wants to do that, I think he’ll risk it all and do it with Louis, or do it when he’s contractually allowed to, without burning all his bridges. He’s under some seriously strict clauses right now (pls just trust me on that), but people seem to not recognise that due to the fact he’s more “free” now. It’s a problem, and continues to divide the fandom due to a lack of understanding of contractual obligations and toxic solos.
The whole thing of him recently where he showed up to the footy not as flamboyant as he usually is, is sooooooo dumb. Like, the fact people are saying he’s straight because of that? Truly shows you what an image and narrative can do. Anyway, let’s carry on.
So, I actually had never seen Euphoria and forgot entirely about that whole thing until my housemate made me start watching it and I got so shocked HAHA. But… I do find it extremely interesting that there seemed to be a lack of approval and it went to air. Using their names and likeness and throwing us and fic writers into the mix was not necessary for that scene to go ahead. Also, it’s a well known topic that causes some serious shit when it’s brought up. Perhaps there’s some sneaky little loopholes the writer used, I can think of a couple actually, but I’d have to dig deeper to make sure I’m getting my terminology right, but yeah. If that can go to air without problem, and Louis tweeting after the fact “I can categorically say that I was not contacted nor did I approve it”, speaks volumes. He didn’t get super aggressive, deny Larry, whatever. He made it clear that he didn’t approve it because like… why the hell would he? Why would Harry? They’d much rather have that part of their lives private and not aired like that, and god even if they weren’t together, that would’ve been horrible to see too. Euphoria fucked up for that, and breached fandom/band/GP crossover big time.
However, OP seems to think that Harry and/or his team approved it. That it was another one of his marketing ploys, using Larry as “fresh meat for Harry’s fetishizing, fantasizing, mostly heterosexual female fans” which, yeah. I get what they mean, but Harries don’t tend to like Larry. It’s not a tried and true method, like the stunting has been. In fact, I imagine it made a lot of Harries very angry and turned off of Euphoria and just caused a bunch of fighting instead. And trust me, Harry, nor his team, would’ve signed off on that shit. Absolutely no way. That doesn’t fit what they’re pushing, it just… doesn’t. And being mad about Harry not saying anything, well… it is what it is. I don’t think he needs to. I think Louis often says enough for the both of him, and is in a very different situation to Harry anyway.
Anyway, the further down this post from OP we go, the more bitter it seems to get, and the more emotional. They say how Louis’ overcome the odds, how he’s thriving, and yeah, that’s true. It’s just not necessary to compare them because that doesn’t make sense, in industry standards and trends.
Then, we head onto Harry “siding with the abusers and colonizers, because that’s where the money and fame are” which is a… uh… yikes statement? Sure, he’s been around some questionable folks. Sure, he’s stayed silent on topics that if he could comment on, he would. But his position in the industry requires him to rub shoulders with these people. It’s work. And it sucks. But simply put, would they be saying the same if Louis was hanging out with those people? Because if they would, then good on them for holding their values so highly. But unfortunately, it is almost impossible to consume any kind of media these days without someone horrible having been involved in the creation, promotion, or acting adjacent to the creator of the art or the art itself. So, yeah. It’s not something we should be silent about, I’m not saying it’s okay, but that won’t change for years and years and years to come. Plus, see above when I talk about him losing his career. Because yep, that’ll happen if he speaks up, too.
Next, OP says a bunch more nasty things about Harry, and then contradicts themself, and then the final sentence basically says that he’s made his bed, he’s sided with oppression and greed, and… idk, I feel like OP’s post jumps around so much, and fails to hit home with the point they’re trying to make, because it is so emotional.
Listen, we all love Louis, and it can feel frustrating to see Harry shoot out into the stars ahead of the other boys, and that of course can cause resentment and anger. I’m not blaming the OP for having those feelings whatsoever, I just think they maybe need to analyse a deeper split of Harry, Harry Styles™️, and how much control artists at that level actually have over their career. And it is a real shame that this is what it’s come to. And so many Larries turned into solos, and with Harry and Louis acting quite outspoken in very opposite ways, it’s easy to see the split of fans leaning one way or the other. But, I don’t like to see this kind of anger towards the boys themselves. Get angry at the industry. Fight the belly of the beast.

Hullo! We finally reached 1,000 followers and it feels unreal. When I started this blog, posting my first dribbles, I never expected it would have gained such traction. Yet, 3 years later we are here - I write for different fandoms now, I grew up so much since that afternoon in the middle of pandemic that made this blog come to life.
This, is, of course, all thanks to you - you who read my rambles, engage with my content, put requests forward and stick with me even during my long hiatuses. Ironically, for someone who likes to define herself as a writer, I can't seem to find the right words to thank all of you. I know I am not the most active blog, but you've stayed by my side for all these years - and even we don't talk a lot, I feel loved and appreciated. And I hope, dear readers, you feel loved just as much.

I dont want to do this anonymously because I feel like it’s better to say this as me. So I saw your posts about konigsblog also and I wanted to kinda share my experience as someone who previously used to interact with their blog. In the beginning I used to read a lot of their fluffy posts when they were a pretty common occurrence, but then I started to notice a switch. A lot of their stuff started to become a lot more dark and way out of character, like they didn’t play or watch any COD related stuff at all. As a victim of SA, I thought that I had to enjoy what they were writing because I hear a lot about people coping through dark topics, even though it made me uncomfortable. I mean their posts always gained a lot of traction, so I had to like it, right? I guess in retrospect I wasn’t in the best mindset and those type of posts made me regress back to a darker place, and I thought I would be the oddball if I didn’t enjoy them like everyone else did. Then it dawned on me the way they were portraying topics such as non-con, abusive relationships, and even step family scenarios almost in a fetish type way. It really opened my eyes to how I did not feel okay with this and this wasn’t the type of thing for me, I was looking for something that comforted me. I do read a lot of recovery and aftermath stories with my favorite characters cause I found that to be a better way to cope and move forward. It really upsets me to see the 141 be portrayed as just the worst people and the excuse always being “they’re murderers, it’s their job to kill.” A lot of this is what really turns me away from the COD fandom.
Sorry if this sounds rushed and looks like a bunch of mumbo jumbo, but I think your posts really helped me get my thoughts straight and share my experience. 😭
I do apologise profusely for taking so long to answer this; it's partially because I'm no longer in the cod fandom (just write for a few select characters), and bc I also don't really want to be harassed again by proshippers. however, I do thoroughly want to take the time to adress some of your points.
I mostly want to say this: I am so, so, so sorry. I am incredibly sorry that you felt like you were in the position where you felt as if you HAD to engage with it and where you felt as if your uncomfort was not a priority. nobody should EVER have to feel that way, EVER. and you should never have to had gone through that.
I completely understand what you mean when you say that you weren't in the best mindset, and I do truly hope that you've started to get better now. but I am, again, so very sorry that it made you regress; it's truly awful to hear and that shouldn't have happened to you whatsoever. you're NOT an oddball, you're NOT invalid, and you're certainly NOT obligated to engage with anyone for any reason - especially if their content makes you feel uncomfortable. the peer pressure is UNBELIEVABLE, and again, I am very sorry that you had to go through that because you didn't deserve to.

I mean, all it takes is one quick search on ao3 to see it plain as day. and naturally you WOULD want to seek comfort - one way or another, we all do! so it really is NOT your fault at ALL. and you should never be made or belittled or bullied into thinking so either. I totally get what you mean when you talk about recovery fics, and I do think that there's no issue w them whatsoever (not my personal cup of tea, but still), and you're right to WANT them to exist!!
honestly? this exact issue is one of several (as well as the racism, homophobia & saneism, PLUS the harassment!) reasons why I left the cod fandom tbh - and I've yet to look back! I think, if that's what's right for you, then absolutely go for it - ik a few friends who haven't LEFT the fandom, but they do only stick to people they know or people who they're CERTAIN don't post those kinds of things. but anything you choose (stay, leave, partial leave) is absolutely valid imho!

Every time I think I am out of fresh ideas for a blog the world comes through and I see something that gets the old juices flowing. The most recent thing was a poll of Americans (naturally) and the things they believe to be true. The poll was listed in percentages but there are so many Americans these percentages add up to a lot of people. I have done the math and translated the % into number of people. Try not to be shocked.
33,000,000 believe HTML is a type of STD. I know your mail can get a virus but I am pretty sure it is a different type unless there is something going on between you and your keyboard.
30,000,000 think that chocolate milk comes from brown cows. Are these same people on the lookout for pink cows to corner the market on Strawberry Milkshakes?
80,000,000 think the U.S. gained independence from China, Russia, France or another country other than England. This could explain why it is difficult to understand what a lot of them say.
12,000,000 believe their country is run by lizard people. I guess this makes the Geico gecko their official spokesperson,
140,000,000 are certain that people and dinosaurs lived at the same time and some even believe it was in harmony. They must have learned this watching the Jurassic Park documentaries.
68,000,000 use the lottery system as a career/retirement savings plan. This explains why so many seniors are greeters at Wal-Mart.
61,000,000 know that the sun moves around the Earth. This one justifies why they should not have to move for anything, and it should all come to them in time.
120,000,000 are convinced that the Earth is flat. We should play with their heads. Tell them land is free at the edge and let them spend their lives trying to find this mythical edge for free land.
These are honest to God beliefs people hold as true. I did not even get into those that believe JFK is still alive and should be president. Forget the fact he would be 106 now. Look who they are going to be voting for next year.
I want to start some other beliefs and see if they gain any traction. I would appreciate your support in this matter.

With the recent negativity in the community, I figured we could use some uplifting. So, while I find it sweet that a few simblrs I follow have made overall compiled lists, I do want to highlight 2 blogs and get into the nitty-gritty of why they inspire me. Plus, this is basically an essay so, sit tight everybody!!
@beansbuilds is a big reason why I’m a builder, as well as a storyteller. I was still new to simblr and I was looking for lots for gameplay purposes, and when I stumbled across theirs I went on a downloading spree. I felt inspired, specifically by a 64x64 town they made for a commission. When I installed that build I thought two things -
1. The shops would be an amazing set for slice-of-life storytelling.
2. There was so much detail Bean placed inside the homes and I realized that when you create a build, you have to give homes a personality. Clutter and decoration tell a story about the sort of individual who lives there whether it be by the sort of fridge they use or welcome mats they have at their door. It’s something I’ve tried to apply to my own builds ever since moving forward.
I also admire how @beansbuilds has always tried to create lots that are functional. Throughout simblr there are so many lots that are gorgeous and stylish, but they aren’t meant for playing and moreso for editing purposes. Builds such as this have always kind of given me whiplash. Like, do I want to play this game or do I want this game to exclusively be a ‘digital comic creator’?
Again, Bean has even inspired my builds in that way in the sense I want to always create something that’s real, that’s good looking AND has a degree of functionality if I just want to casually play the game.
All and all, I just adore them and it’s hard to say what my content would even be looking like if I never downloaded their lots.
@cinamun is a simblr I’m capable of saying so much about. Over the course of…I want to say maybe two months, I read Indya/Things Fall Apart from the very beginning and there are two things I have to give her major props for; her characterization of the principal characters in her story and her progress in making edits.
Indya, Darren, Juan, Elise and Jerri are not characters who are one note. Over many…many…many posts she allowed these characters to do good things, bad things - incredibly problematic things, and better yet she allows them to grow from it! Granted, no one's growth was instant. It was gradual and things were not instantly resolved once they made certain decisions. Heck, things still AREN’T resolved, but that just makes her characters feel more real.
In regards to cinnamon’s overall posted content, it is inspiring to see how she has progressed. Like, this woman has been a part of simblr since 2015. She does not hide her old content which, frankly, looks absolutely nothing like her present content. This shows that in order to make good, high-quality content you start from the very bottom.
And if I’m going to be honest, I feel like a lot of people on social media hide that in the sense that they provide the illusion they were always on top, that they gained traction from the moment they started off. But this isn’t true.
You ‘find’ your style after so many weeks, months, and years. and through reading Indya’s Beginnings, I literally watched how Cin’s style made all these gradual changes.
It’s really inspiring to know that one day, eventually, if I keep moving forward I can be on her level of quality. Not to say I don’t think my stuff isn’t quality already, I just want to keep moving forward!

Alright so Tumblr. The Tumblr. That one. The one that bad people thought was the antichrist itself in 2015. In my and others' effort to have actual plan Bs in case of Twitter doing what we think Twitter is going to do we're coming here despite the memes of keeping us out.
I suppose that I should open by saying that I have a pet peeve for superhero and urban fantasy shows to such an extent that they are the bad guys in my self-insert lore.
Now that I have torpedoed my attempts to gain a following on this site I should say that I actually remember liking it here. Getting all the formatting stuff right is going to be a little adventure on my part but hey I did some coding stuff in Uni (I did not finish Uni). The only real reason I never made an account here is because, well, exactly the time I would have made an account happened to align with, you know, that time where a lot of the people I would have been following were banned for posting lewd stuff. I understand they have reigned that back and allow it if it's properly tagged- which it should be- but I'm gonna have to comb the fine print there before I push it.
I will confess that at this point my knowledge of the state of this site is vague to the extent that I'm mostly here to follow people who went here before other places, especially considering I seem to be the sole VTweeter that is not on Insta or Tiktok. In fact, as most of my output is art, I may end up frequenting art sites more often. In fact, I was met with decent traction on my backup acct immediately.

Yeah it's probs Newgrounds now even if I'm not quite doing numbers there yet. But I'm likely to crosspost everywhere when possible. This may end up partially replacing my current Wix blog if I can get it to display info in the encyclopedic format I want for the sake of loreposting.
There'll be a better intro later- this is me getting my bearings and asking for help with that from friends. Tumblr is my most likely outright replacement for Twitter once I learn due to it having a similar capacity for being able to scream into the void and have your friends say "lol" beneath it, even if at a glance Newgrounds is my more likely portfolio site and Wix is gonna be where a lot of long-form posts end up. Will twitter collapse? Well one of my friends, who is a mushroom, she is cool, thinks not- that the businesses that rely on Twitter will be waiting like vultures to pick it up if Elon steps down. This makes sense- the brands all find value in Twitter because it's popular. It's a feedback loop they exploit for outreach.
But Elon does not make sense.
Why did he launch a car into space? It was because it was an easy way to get haha funny internet points. Why did he buy Twitter? And why might he, I believe to be in the cards, destroy Twitter, out of spite, at his own loss?
It's not like I'm sitting here weeping, the follower grind I had to where I'm at aside. Like I'm at 282 last I checked, that's pretty nice, and I hope my regulars are checking my new sites. I don't think Twitter was some sacred grounds as a lot of strawmen are painted. It was just convenient and cool people are there. Were there. Half expecting it to be gone when I tab back over just out of sheer jinxing lol. I really should have done all this earlier. Got pretty complacent with the idea that the situation had stabilized. Alas, Society.
I am, as with all sites I am spreading my high-aspect-ratio membranous wings into, eager to check this out and meet new people. I just hope I don't have to start from zero.

Define Social Media
Social Media in todays' modern times, to me, is the driving force of our modern society. In the sense of, it can be whatever you would like it to be. Especially with tech becoming bigger and bigger as the years go on. For example, I'm the host of a podcast. I use Social Media to not only advertise my content, but I also have my content on multiple platforms. With that said, I also use Social Media for my own personal use. Such as interacting with friends and family, sharing personal photos and keeping up to date with current times. Such as pop culture and politics. Whether or not you are trying to create a brand and monetize it, or you just want to stay in touch with a family member that may live in Europe, Social Media is a tool, like stated in the text, that can be used in basically any way that you choose to use it.
Like stated in the top paragraph, I'm the host of a podcast. I talk about sports and pop culture and what my takes are on said topics in the world of both categories. Which would classify as User Generated Content. I also use Social Media for my own personal life. Such as posting personal photos, keeping in touch with people I haven't seen or talked to in a long time, and also learning new information. In which that could be local, national or even international news. Regarding topics that vary in multiple varieties. Also, I follow athletes, musicians and other forms of entertainers, mostly on Instagram, for personal reasons. Whether its due to relatability or, again, just pure entertainment. So personally, I am in the middle of the spectrum in regards to the use of Social Media. Which brings to light the beauty of the platforms we are fortunate to be able to have our hands on.
One strength I would like to say that I have in regards to Social Media is, as Gary Vaynerchuk had mentioned in the video, is self awareness. In the sense that, I have the self awareness of understanding that Social Media can be as I have mentioned throughout this blog, can be used in whatever way one would like to use it as. You can use it for Branded Content, User Generated Content or Virality. There are multiple podcasts, Such as I Am Athlete, All The Smoke with Stephen Jackson and The Michael Sartain podcast that discuss an assortment. These topics range from Mental Health, Physical Health, Sociology, Anthropology, Evolutionary Psychology and much more. However, I acknowledge that these shows on these platforms not only draw an audience, but they are engaging the audience in topics that, I could argue, need to be talked about more. Especially on mainstream platforms. There is a hunger and a desire for these topics. A weakness of mine, on a personal level, is trying to build up and expand my own personal platform. In which, is very frustrating. Knowing that there are all sorts of ways and methods in which to do that exactly. Which leads to another weakness of mine. Which is stepping out of my own comfort zone in order to do so. I have never liked cameras being in front of me. Microphones isn't an issue at all. It's just the thought of knowing that there is not only just one person looking at me, in some cases, there would be multiple people looking at me. I feel some of that is a underlying fear of knowing that the content business can either make or break a lot of people if not handled correctly. All things that need to be corrected going down the line. Another weakness I feel I have is the limitations I've put on myself, in terms of platforms that I use. For example, I only use Facebook, Instagram, Google Podcasts and Radio Public. When I could also be using YouTube, TikTok, Spotify and Apple Music. In terms of expanding myself for gaining traction, and getting more views and listens.
There are quite a few things I would like to get out of this class. One of the biggest reasonings being, that I want to learn how to be a better podcast host and be better at creating my own content. I would like to learn how to socialize and network with people on different platforms, discussing different topics. This way here I can accomplish my biggest goal. Which is to engage people from different walks of life to discuss, educate themselves, and more importantly be able to form their own opinion on their own. Without being influenced by other peoples thoughts and opinions. Also, I would like to get a better understanding of Social Media now, before it starts to grow larger than what it already has. If Social Media has grown the amount that it has within the last 15 years, I can't even begin to imagine what Social Media will look in another 15 years down the line. When there is more tech advancements in regards to phones, computers and potentially new Social Media platforms. In which, at that point, no one knows what the future holds for the world at that point. Which is the most exciting part if you ask me personally. By getting a better understanding now and getting the basics down will help pave the road for the future and future generations.

TOOLS THAT GET YOUR CAR UNSTUCK IN ANY SITUATION
Since the invention of vehicles, people have always thought of going faster, farther, and longer to enjoy adventures. But, all the planning comes to a stop when the point comes to how far your vehicle will go?

But, sadly that’s wrong! This is why most people get stuck easily in mud and sand. Whether you do off-roading in mountain areas, hill areas, or not, all of us will eventually find ourselves getting stuck, no matter how careful we are on the road.
As, whenever a vehicle is put through harsh driving conditions, it shows its true strength and age. However, even a well-maintained vehicle can’t handle mud and sand easily. So, don’t underestimate the power of these situations because you never know when or how your vehicle gets unstuck.

SHOVEL – EFFECTIVE DIG METHOD
Yes, Exactly! With the help of a shovel, you can dig yourself out of a hole. Digging is quite self-explanatory, but is a very effective method. To do this, grab a shovel, and clear as much mud/and as you can from around the vehicle tyres.
Any item including your hands that can dig is the most useful tool for getting your car unstuck. But, no doubt the shovel will get the job done quickly. When all of your car tires get stuck, you would feel grateful to bring a shovel with you.
Some people prefer to carry a foldable shovel. However, it is always better to use a D-handle as it is the least back-breaking option. But, if you have limited space, you can use a foldable shovel or cut the handle on a regular shovel to fit it into your car.
BUILD TRACTION WITH CARPET, WOOD, AND CARDBOARD
After you’ve shoveled out the front of your tire, you will need something to hold onto, otherwise, you may get stuck again. The process is simple. Put something solid in front of the tire, and crawl out slowly.
For this, a small tool or object can be very beneficial for us. You can place a piece of carpet, wood, cardboard, or any other object. The purpose of doing this is to gain some traction to keep your wheels from spinning. Once you put any of these objects, then accelerate slowly so that the tires can grip.
Note: Molded plastic recovery tracks provide great benefits over a carpet or wood solution. Because, they won’t sink or slide under a tire, and can also be used as shovels.
HI-LIFT JACK CAR UNSTUCK METHOD
People who love to drive off-road would probably be aware of this tool. In case, if your off-road vehicle tyres sit a lot higher off the ground, then the factory tire jacks won’t help you. This is where using a hi-lift jack can be helpful for you.
You can use a hi-lift to lift a stuck tire, then secure it by placing a cardboard or Maxtrax underneath it.
Another use of hi-lift jack is that they can also be used as a come-along winch. The process can be made simpler with an off-road winch accessory kit.
The method of doing the process is:
First, attach a chain or tow strap to the part that moves up and down and attach the other end to a solid object; like a tree.
Then, connect the plate end of the jack to the frame or tow hook of your vehicle.
When you pump, it will feel as though you’re lowering the jack and you can pull your vehicle out of a hole.
TOW STRAP RECOVERY METHOD
If you plan to go off-roading, then you should carry a tow strap with you as it is super useful. Having it will become helpful for other drivers too to help you out during your off-road journey.
For example; a tow strap can be useful for you by attaching it to another vehicle when your car gets unstuck.
Note: Don’t utilize tow straps with hooks. Moreover, don’t attach tow straps to the car body or bumper, or else, you would end up damaging your vehicle. Always, connect it between frames to avoid serious damage.

It’s so odd to be in a situation where you used to have a tyrant of a parent but now they’re “kinda chill,” but we’re out here to understand one another and try to connect and support people, even if it’s just with little things. It wasn’t uncommon for tussles to break out amongst the crew, even these days after all the bonding that hardship had provided. And apparently, the fondness that grows in the heart during absence only lasts for so long after reuniting. Stede watched, hands on his hips, as Frenchie and Black Pete’s argument got louder and more animated. Maybe Stede needed to bring back the talking circles, like he originally had back when they first started sailing together. The crew had been very adverse to it back then, but maybe now they’d be more receptive to the idea. It seemed there needed to be a lot more talking it through, as a crew going on, now that they were all learning to live with each other again. And maybe he shouldn’t intervene, but…
“No violence!” Stede called, when Black Pete was looking about ready to boil over.
Both Frenchie and Pete jerked their heads over to look at him, then glanced back at each other. Frenchie shrugged and Pete scowled for a moment before his face lit up with something mischievous. Without any warning, Pete tackled Frenchie to the ground. Stede jerked forward, prepared to try and stop the fight, but paused just as quickly when Frenchie’s laughter rang out across the deck.
Stede huffed out a small laugh and leaned against the railing overlooking the deck below. Only a few moments later, Ed was standing by his side, staring down at the deck with a confused look on his face. By now, Frenchie had managed to use his longer limbs to his advantage and turn the tides on Pete, but Stede wasn’t sure it would last long.
“What the hell is going on?” Ed asked, rubbing at the stubble on his cheeks. He’d taken to keeping it shorter these days, after the Act of Grace incident, just for a change of pace. Stede thought it suited him.
“Processing our anger in a more healthy way than violence,” Stede said. Then he cocked his head to the side. “Actually, it rather seems we’re over the anger bit. Now I think it’s just a tickle fight.”
Ed huffed out a breathy laugh, but didn’t reply otherwise. He did press his arm up against Stede’s arm as he leaned against the railing as well, watching the tickle fight unfold below. By now, an unfortunate Roach had gotten pulled into the fray, with a nervous-yet-giddy looking Lucius likely to be next, and he would likely pull Fang in, who would likely pull Ivan in. Wee John and the Swede were watching with interest, while Jim and Oluwande seemed content to keep their distance for now. Buttons seemed perfectly happy to watch everyone else have fun, steering the ship confidently behind Stede and Ed.
“Did this happen often, before?” Ed eventually asked, chuckling as Wee John barrelled into the fray and everyone went scrambling away with bright, goofy grins.
“A couple of times, perhaps, after you first came aboard, but you often missed it. Seems they’re making up for lost time, now.”
A dark shadow started to cross over Ed’s face, but Stede nudged him back to the present. He pointed at the fight growing ever-closer to Jim and Olu, a mischievous look crossing Lucius’ face through his laughter.
“Seems fun, doesn’t it?” Stede asked.
Ed huffed out another near-laugh of a breath. “Yeah, maybe.”
Stede looked over at him and grinned. “Ticklish, are you?”
Ed’s eyes went wide, his mouth twitching nervously in a way his beard could no longer hide for him. He jerked his head over to look at Stede.
“Of course not! I’m fuckin’ Blackbeard, man. Blackbeard isn’t ticklish!”
Stede pursed his lips, nodding. “No, no, of course not. But what about Edward?”
Ed fell silent, pursing his own lips as he stared down at the ever-growing tickle fight. Jim was taking victims left and right. Roach was tickling at least two people, maybe three depending on whatever the hell his foot was doing jammed in the Swede’s armpit. Frenchie was half-heartedly trying to crawl away with very little success. Fang and Pete seemed to be ganging up on Lucius, but he was such a little sneak that Stede doubted that’d last long.
Stede leaned in closer and rested his chin on Ed’s shoulder, a sly smirk spreading across his face. “Well? Is Edward ticklish?”
Ed sighed, looking at Stede out of the corner of his eye. Stede dropped the smirk immediately, taking on an innocent pout. A hint of a smile pulled at Ed’s eyes as he sighed, relenting, “Maybe a little.”
Stede hummed. “Only a little?” Slowly, he shifted behind Ed and slid his arms around Ed’s waist. “Should we maybe… test that?”
“Stede,” Ed said, a note of warning in his voice.
“I’m not hearing a no,” Stede said, running his palms up and down Ed’s sides, firm enough to not tickle.
Ed stayed silent, stubbornly turning his head to face forward again, so Stede hooked his chin over Ed’s shoulder once more. He gave one last quick glance at the crew’s tickle fight below.
Black Pete and Frenchie seemed to have tapped out by now, which made sense since they were the ones to start the whole thing. With the help of Ivan, Lucius seemed to have Fang nearly in tears, but Fang seemed reluctant to tap out just yet. Roach and the Swede had finally pinned down Wee John, his laugh booming out over the ship, and Jim and Olu appeared to have refocused their efforts entirely on each other. Jim was clearly winning.
Stede grinned down at his crew fondly before turning to press a kiss to Ed’s prickly cheek. Without further preamble, he wiggled his fingers into Ed’s sides, and Ed crumpled like a wet paper bag. He started laughing immediately, his knees going weak enough that Stede wound up holding most of his weight. His laughter carried over the wind down to the crew below, who all stopped to look up. Then, and Stede wasn’t sure who started it, a cheer went up among the crew.
There were teasing shouts of, “Get him, Captain!” and, “Edward’s ticklish?!” and Stede swore he could even hear Buttons give a fond chuckle behind them. And instead of using his hands to defend himself, Ed brought them up to cover his face. Stede grinned and lowered them both to the deck, out of the crew’s view (well, the crew minus Buttons), and heard their own tickle fight restart only moments later.
“I do love your laugh,” Stede murmured in Ed’s ear, a bright grin spreading across Stede’s face when he tried to squirm away from it. “Oh, ticklish here, too?”
“Shut up!” Ed said in a strangled whisper, his boots scrabbling against the deck as he tried to get away. Stede could tell his heart wasn’t in it.
“It’s quite adorable, you know,” Stede continued, making sure that his words were extra breathy and his lips brushed Ed’s ear whenever they could. “Truly, you didn’t do this justice.”
His fingers jumped up to Ed’s ribs, scratching between the bones, and Ed jerked in his hold as his laughter leapt up a notch. He pinned his arms to his sides as best he could while still covering his face. Stede chuckled against his neck and he shivered.
“In fact, I think you may have even lied.”
Ed’s breath hitched.
“This is much more than a little ticklish, darling.” He nuzzled behind Ed’s ear, relishing in the quiet squeal it elicited. “I wonder where else you’re ticklish.”
Ed whimpered, trying to curl in on himself with Stede still pressed tightly to his back, trapping him in a ticklish hug. His hands shot down to grasp at Stede’s wrists, but made no effort to push him away.
“Nowhere!” Ed laughed out.
Stede hummed playfully. “Still lying to me?”
Ed shook his head rapidly, hair flying everywhere and getting in Stede’s eyes and mouth. He spat it out with a laugh, tickling his hands down to Ed’s hips as he did, easily accessible seeing as he was wearing a pair of Stede’s soft breeches that day instead of his own leathers. Ed kicked out even more when Stede’s hands reached their destination, throwing his head back against Stede’s shoulder to let out loud cackles. Stede laughed along with him.
“I think I’m getting closer to someone’s tickle spot, wouldn’t you say, my love?”
Ed gave a particularly strong kick, nearly knocking the two of them off balance.
“Should we play a game of hot-and-cold?”
Ed frantically shook his head again.
“No? Oh well, maybe next time.”
Stede started moving his hands up and in, intending to converge on Ed’s stomach, but Ed’s hands shot down to stop him, actually pushing this time. Stede stopped, pressing his hands down flat against Ed’s hips and keeping them still, pressing another kiss to Ed’s cheek.
“All done, dear?” He asked quietly, trying to direct his breath away from Ed’s sensitive ears and neck.
Ed nodded and Stede pressed a kiss to his temple, then the mess of curls on his head. He gave Ed one last squeeze before carefully pulling away, rising back onto his feet. He helped Ed up next, grinning a little at how unsteady Ed was on his feet. He leaned in and kissed Ed’s lingering smile, able to feel the warmth of his cheeks from this close.
When he pulled back, they leaned against the railing once more, glancing down at the crew below. It seemed their tickle fight had also come to an end, bodies now sprawled across the deck below, many people resting on top of each other. Stede grinned at the sight. Maybe they should do this more often. He certainly felt lighter, and he wasn’t even the one getting tickled.
“By the way, mate,” Ed said, wrapping his arms around Stede’s waist, like Stede had done to him only minutes earlier. “That was a freebie.”
Stede’s eyes went wide. “A freebie?”
He felt Ed grin against the shell of his ear and shivered. Suddenly he understood why Ed had reacted like he had, because that tickled like hell. He tried not to squirm.
“Next time,” Ed said against his ear, “you won’t be coming away unscathed.”
The wind must have carried Ed’s words across the ship, because the crew started hollering and cat-calling up at the two of them. Or maybe it was just the position they were standing in, but it still made Stede’s cheeks burn bright. Despite that, a thrill went through Stede’s chest, butterflies blossoming in his stomach. He was suddenly very excited for next time.
He hoped it came soon.

Writing Bakugou is 100% a quicker way to build a following for sure, so when you write outside of it then naturally it may not get the same activity based on what someone may have followed for and what people are searching for. It depends though I personally have never seen jjk but I follow like 5 people a couple which have started venturing out into jjk (originally bhna writers) because it's their current obsession. And I like how they write them (my view will be so skewed when I finally watch lmao)! That's the fun part of having a blog I feel lol. My love will always be for my fav but I will go feral for other characters and fandoms. If people don't like they don't have to be here lol. Your blog is so fun to me though even your non-writing stuff. Your blog is "good soup" or whatever people say.

i think you definitely have a point about writing bakugo... but also, as someone who's been here (and maybe you have too, idk) since oct. 2020... i do think interaction dynamics + desire for content has shifted some. Sure, bakugo has always been a favorite, but writing for other characters was never NOT a way to gain followers, too... if i'm properly expressing what i mean?
(like, 6+ months ago you could post a deku thing that would get a lot of traction... now you post something deku and it's regarded as a normal post... VERSUS, posting bakugo 6+ months ago would get you traction and it still gets traction now.)
like we both have mentioned tho, interests are switching and thats okay! just feels weird since... idk. i think genuine audiences (like u) are sparser in general now which makes things a lot more different now, too.
that being said, however, you make a great point and remind me of something important... which is that the people who truly value and enjoy this site (and the content on it regardless of whether it meets ur needs 100% of the time)... are gonna stick thru it no matter what.
i really (and im sure im speaking on behalf of the other ppl u follow, too) appreciate the kindness and consideration u have for us when it comes to posting abt what just tickles our fancy lol... and i'd love to hear abt ur thoughts on jjk when u get around to it, too (bc i definitely read it before watching and ended up a bit shocked also asjkdfkadshk).

A song at twilight...
(A barely coherent rant about the past twelve months)
I took a large part of 2021 off. Not just from unpaid current events blogging, but from political news in general. It wasn’t me being part of the smug, self-satisfied “I’m sure glad that’s over with” vibe that the corporate news outlets were falling into. It was from the dawning dread that if anything, the anti-democracy wing of the Republican party was escalating its dismantling of the American system. Every time I looked up, new nightmares were picking up speed.
The January 6th riots were only the beginning, not the end of Trump, and definitely not the end of reality-denying Trumpism. If anything, the Big Lie is gaining traction, and yes, the terrorists are winning.
Here’s where I lose some of you, though, because I’ve resigned myself to the idea that the end result of this is going to be civil war. Not a metaphor for the usual Twitter slap fights, but large-scale political violence from a “conservative” movement that believes political violence is not only inevitable, but necessary to “save” the country for the “patriots”. Another poll showed that a pretty good portion of Trump voters have decided that maybe they’d be better off not being Americans at all.
I seriously hope that there’s nobody reading this who has to be told this, but there’s no legal path to secession from the Union. The only way out, even temporarily, is through war. Unfortunately, these are the same people who buy all the guns when times get weird. So why shouldn’t I think that a lot of people are going to be willing to murder and die in the name of a vanity project from Clowny McClownface from Queens, a man who was told “no” by the system, and it burned his ass so badly that he decided to burn everything down on his way out?
When I bring these concerns up with anyone left-leaning in my circle, they think it’s absolutely hilarious. “Dude,” they tell me, “you’re severely underestimating the fundamental laziness of the average American.” Because that’s what we do in this country, right? We complain loudly on the Internet about the way things should be done, and then sit on our asses and wait for someone else to do it. It’s the American way.
The problem is that’s the same line of thought that allowed them to think Trump 2015 was an impossibility, that the Tea Party would blow over, and that QAnon would stay an Internet-based jerk-off fantasy. All of these things developed and thrived based on the same premise: If a person believes in the correctness of something, and that the implications of what they believe in require action, then in their minds they are morally required to act. Otherwise, they don’t genuinely believe in anything.
Never mind whether that “something” has any basis in objective reality. After all, we’re talking about a political moment set into motion by birtherism. Truth doesn’t figure into it. Faith is about belief in defiance of any and all evidence to the contrary.
In this respect, QAnon is starting to take on all the trimmings of a full-fledged apocalypse cult. Far from fading out when absolutely none of their psychotic predictions came true, QAnon members are going deeper into their delusions, one man recently going so far as killing his own family in cold blood because Q convinced him it was the only way to save civilization. They’ve got a Jonestown moment coming somewhere down the line, and I’m not looking forward to it, if for no other reason than someone loves those brain-broken people.
As far as something more earthbound like voter suppression, in nearly a dozen states that “someone else” is already doing it, and that impulse is picking up steam among state-level Republicans nationwide. Using long-discredited evidence pointing at a non-existent election “steal”, the ultimate goal is to be able to throw out inconvenient results (and voters, obviously) at will. Again, the terrorists win.
If these things are allowed to stand, get used to the idea of this being the final generation of the American Experiment. Or at the very least, say hello to the Republic of Texas.
Anyway, so long to 2021, and as for what’s ahead, God have mercy on us all.

1-Year Retrospective
Oh my Cob I did not think I was still gonna be here
So uh, first off, wow, I’ve really spent a year doing this single handedly, huh
Ironically I started this blog on my brother’s birthday last year (and speaking of which: Tokyo I know you literally never use Tumblr for anything ever but happy birthday by the way), and at the time, it had a completely different purpose!
For those unaware, daily-venomous first started out as we-rate-venomous, which is more or less exactly what it sounds like. I basically rated Venomous (Venomouses? Venomi? Still don’t know the plural for Venomous) based on how horny the artists seemed to be, a concept that completely fell apart the moment I discovered it was literally all Ryann Shannon. Still, I kept the blog running for funsies.
Now we’re here, a full year later, and in that time frame this blog has amassed over 500 followers--something I didn’t even notice until just now, to be honest--which is waaaaay more than I ever thought this silly little blog would get! Heck, my main still hasn’t gotten that many, and it’s been around five times as long now! It’s almost embarrassing to think about how many people see my silly little posts, heehee...
Thing is, therein lies a bit of an issue, and one that I knew would come for this blog sooner or later. See, I’ve been hyperfixated on OK K.O. for a literal year now, but, as all hyperfixations eventually do, it has admittedly started to fade. And when you’re a content creator constantly pumping out material for other fans of your hyperfixation, noticing that hyperfixation fading is a pretty scary thing! Because you know how many people follow you for that specific content, and now it feels like you’re turning your back on them, even if you don’t mean or even want to!
It’s something I’ve dealt with quite a few times now, but it’s never had quite this weight for me before. My OK K.O. content has gained more traction than anything I’ve made prior, and truthfully this little side project of mine has been my first real foray into a gimmick-y sort of sideblog. When you’re in the heat of something like that, it feels like you’ll always get as much joy from your interest as you do then, even though you know you won’t. You rarely if ever truly stop enjoying it, but it’s unlikely you’ll ever be that into it again, you know?
What’s worse, online you know there’s going to be people who are going to lose interest in you the second you admit that you’re just not that into this thing or that thing anymore. And when you’ve got a ton of people looking to you for this thing or that thing, the thought of losing the people who’ve been supporting you before is a scary one. I mean it’s a lot of things--sad, bitter, maybe even anger inducing--but it’s scary above all else.
All this to say, I can’t control the way my brain works, and unfortunately, my brain has more or less jumped ship from OK K.O. at this point. It’ll forever retain mementos from the journey, but as of right now, it has no intention of going back, and you know what? That’s okay.
Now don’t think that I’m just gonna pack up and leave daily-venomous to deteriorate. I put too much work into this baby to let that happen so easily! So I figured, why keep manning the ship all on my lonesome? That, friends, is why...
I’m opening up mod applications! :D
Because let’s face it! This thing was never meant to be run by one person to begin with! I don’t know why I did this to myself and then continued to do it for an entire year!
Well, okay, the blog’s not that hard to actually run. But even so it would be easier with some extra hands on board! It’d definitely be a weight off my shoulders, at least...
And don’t think that if/when I get some mods on here that I’ll disappear completely! I just... won’t be here as often, probably. Even if I’m not active, though, I’ll still support this thing with all I’ve got! It’s practically my baby at this point!
Though, on the off chance that I do become completely inactive, I’ll still be hanging around my main @theshmeepking if you ever just wanna drop by and say hi or anything. Besides, that inbox never gets anything, anyway. It’s sad. Pitiful, even. But yeah! I’m there! I do stuff! Post art sometimes! It’s fun!

Heh. A year later and I’m only now actively and shamelessly plugging my main. It’s kinda funny, really. I don’t even remember why I decided to try (and fail) to keep it secret all this time...

I...uh...

...I... was in a really bad spot for most if not all of this blog’s lifespan. Maybe I still am. I’m not really sure to be honest. I don’t know what washed over me, but ever since the tail end of the spring semester of my first year of college (which was around April, May-ish last year, by the way), I’ve been more depressed than I’ve ever been. I kept asking myself, what happened? I used to be the smart and perfect kid. I’m... genuinely scared that I peaked in high school. I guess only time can tell me if that’s true or not, though.
Still, those were the worst months of my life.
Don’t worry, it’s not like I ever thought about hurting myself or anything like that, I just... kind of lost all of my drive. My motivation. My passion. And to be completely honest with you?
I think I’m going through an identity crisis.
Which is... not fun. At all. It just makes me depressed and anxious and questioning if I even know who I am. You know, fun college stuff. I should probably buckle down and finally talk to my doctor about getting a therapist, now that I think about it. God knows I need it. It just... doesn’t feel like I carry the weight I really do. It feels so much lighter than it is, but sooner or later it’s bound to break my back, you know?
Truthfully I don’t know if running this blog has made any of that better or worse. I amazingly got my first ever tumblr anon hate only a week or two after creating this blog, which is kind of surprising considering I had been on this site for like, four years before that. Heck, I still get some hate occasionally, though it’s mainly just people who are upset at me for having an opinion (which they often specifically ask for by the way. like why would you even do that.), lmao.
But then, at the same time, trying to make people laugh, and having those people make me laugh in return, well... it was a nice little oasis of joy, at least for a while. You guys have given me so much support and just when I needed it, too. So... thanks. A lot. Words can’t describe how truly grateful I am for the people that laugh at my jokes, and those that try to make me laugh at theirs! You guys sure can be free serotonin when you want to be, haha!
Like I said earlier, whether I keep contributing to this blog or not, the memories I’ve made running it this past year will always stick with me. Sure there are a couple of bad ones in there, but I think the positive ones outweigh those at least tenfold, and I would have those if it weren’t for you guys.
