The Orion spacecraft has plenty of cameras on it. Look at this beautiful image of the Earth, as it travels to the Moon. I am overjoyed to be alive for these historic missions. To the Moon now, To Mars in the future!

Alright, Karrde’s gonna get sappy here for a second. I grew up asking my parents when we were going back to the moon, and there was never an answer they could give. I became an aerospace engineer because of Apollo. And now, tonight, we started the journey back to the moon, and my project will be a part of this sequel, Artemis.

I’m incredibly emotional. I feel like I’m eight years old again. I am filled with wonder and awe and cannot put into words what I’m experiencing.

Thanks to everyone that listened to me screech tonight. This was special for me. 💙

We are the corroboree and the bora ground, We are the old ceremonies, the laws of the elders. We are the wonder tales of Dream Time, the tribal legends told. We are the past, the hunts and the laughing games, the wandering camp fires. We are the lightening bolt over Gaphembah Hill Quick and terrible, And the Thunderer after him, that loud fellow. We are the quiet daybreak paling the dark lagoon. We are the shadow-ghosts creeping back as the camp fires burn low. We are nature and the past, all the old ways Gone now and scattered. The scrubs are gone, the hunting and the laughter. The eagle is gone, the emu and the kangaroo are gone from this place. The bora ring is gone. The corroboree is gone. And we are going.'

I took this picture last night (this morning?) just before the first SLS launch! I think i want to spend a lot of my time here on tumblr talking about my hobbies, so i think this is a good start :3 just a messy project table.

Maybe when i start work on my fursuit a little more (it’s just the head atm) i’ll take a selfie with it. I really wanna get the handpaws done soon so i can wear them to school and get told im going to hell again haaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

NASA announced the crew for Artemis II: Christina Koch, Jeremy Hansen, Victor Glover, and Reed Wiseman. The mission will probably launch in 2025 (it’s currently scheduled for no earlier than November 2024). Here’s a rundown of what the mission will do (and what it won’t, which is land on the moon).
