something about Mayor Wilkins. the man established a town over Hellmouth and became its mayor so he can control literally everything through administration. god, the planning, the calm, and the weirdly wholesome father figure relation to Faith; Voldemort could never.

buffy, a deeply closeted bisexual: wait, willow you were dating oz and now you're dating tara??? you can date men and women????
willow, a confused bisexual: no, I think I've just become a lesbian, is the information I'm getting that is very trustworthy
buffy, going back into the closet: ah, right, well I like men so definitely not what's going on with me when I think women are Neat
willow, also in the closet but differently: yeah, exactly, good thing we're not being given a bunch of inaccurate biphobic information to base our experiences off of
*buffy and willow shoot finger guns at each other, not knowing that this is code for being a bisexual*

i unapologetically, unironically love crush. like it tries so hard to be anti-spuffy but david fury was a FOOL to think that the line "I'm drowning in you, Summers" wasn't going to irreparably alter my brain chemistry. that Spike almost falling over himself to open a door for Buffy wasn't going to make me positively unhinged.
literally the only thing i don't like about this episode is fury patronising the audience with his ham-handed, puritanical Hunchback analogy.
but it's fine, 'cause buffy didn't do the reading.

buffy s7e2 beneath you
damn it the acting at the end
i'm so excited to see this. i like reading dramione cause i want to see the exploration of character interactions and i always wanted to see something like that on-screen. Honestly, spuffy is giving me so much more than i would have imagined: the complexity, the ugliness it's all there and it's tough to watch but it's well done. as much as i have seen till now, the toxicity is not excused either
(obviously it would have been offensive to think that the show so well written would fall prey to the naivety that the worst dramione fans have)

They’re the only duo that matters. Dawn would love Olivia Rodrigo and make Spike chaperone her (cause he’s the cool adult)
