update: colored it. references for me fanfic yippee yippee
General AU summary for those interested: Scar and his Watchers (essentially a pack of wolves in this au, they r doggy) live on Hermitcraft, but due to intense guilt and fear of hurting his friends, (who do not know he is a Watcher) as well as an environment that doesn’t have enough food to sustain him, Scar is often in poor health. At his breaking point, he asks Grian to make a death game, a place where he can eat and recover during the high emotions and excitement of a game of that nature.
Everything is going great until Scar dies before he has the chance to recover his strength. Back at Spawn, he is immobilized, and his identity as a Watcher is exposed, much to his terror. Luckily 👍 his Watchers have just the solution!
I mean Grian is RIGHT there, distressed and perfectly vulnerable 🤲 we can just… yeah, scoot him right over.. add a couple terrifying and lightly prophetic visions (an executive decision has been made to save Scar, and by the time they’re enacting it, they’re too far away to hear him yelling at them to stop). In this state, Scar is so desperate he can’t refuse, and so ravenous, he doesn’t even see Grian as a person anymore.
But the desecration of a soul is not a quiet act, nor is it a painless one, the noise only suppressed by its existence in a separate plane. Unluckily for Scar, two players on the server are gifted (or perhaps cursed) with the ability to hear the goings on in the otherworld.
Jimmy and Martyn hear Grian be viscerally ripped apart. They hear him scream. And once it’s over, they hear Scar, horrified with what he has done.
(questions, comments, asks, ANYTHING would make me so very happy I would do giddy little spins in circles I am obsessed with these guys right now)
