Hey!! Guess What?? We get an Exclusive Clip of S2 Of Star Trek: Prodigy!! If you want to watch, click below!!
And I'm glad that this Four-minute-clip has come around!! Seeing Dal and others of his crew there at Starfleet Academy!! We all are Missing Gwyn Right Now!! But yeah, I think what Dal is Thinking, that She has become the Queen of Solum, currently, if that is a thing!! But we also see an Assistant Hologram Doctor of Star Trek: Voyager cast Robert Picardo!!
And we get a Punchline from him, "I'm a Doctor, not a Butler!!"
And also, the Crew are on a Mission to Save Captain Chakotay, who is Still stuck at Solum, 52 Years from current event, due to that Wormhole created after the Destruction of USS Protostar!!
And Surprise, Surprise, Trekkies!! Voyager-A is here!! And Vice Admiral Janeway will lead them!!
And I know, it's just a Four-minute-clip from S2E1, but the creators of Star Trek: Prodigy have said that, they are 99% Sure about that Star Trek: Prodigy will be having a new streaming Platform/Network!! Remind you, that as of now, while I am writing this post, ST: Prodigy haven't found a new home yet!! The talks to other streaming platforms are in progress!! If all goes well, then we have a Chance to see Star Trek: Prodigy S2!! I personally hope, that Peacock or Amazon Prime Video should pick up the rights to it!! Especially Peacock!! Because, NBC were the first to air Star Trek: TOS and TAS, in the late '60s and early '70s, before CBS took over the whole Star Trek Franchise!! So there's a chance, NBCUniversal can do this franchise a favor bring it to their original home by picking up Star Trek: Prodigy!! Amazon Prime also have a chance!! But I prefer Peacock mostly!!
Just make sure you sign the petition of #SaveStarTrekProdigy by clicking here, buy Merchandise and Toys related to Prodigy, buy S1 Arc I & II on Digital and DVDs and Blu-rays of S1 Arc I & Arc II (later in September)!! Every bit helps!! Every bit of help matters!! Show Paramount, that there is still Demand for Star Trek: Prodigy!!
Show this Series and it's creators and Crew a Massive Support!! And Show those top executives at Paramount and Nickelodeon that you've made the Biggest Mistake by Canceling Star Trek: Prodigy with such Unfair!!
'til then, Fingers crossed now!! 🤞🏼🤞🏼

Engineer categorization (sequel to my ensign chart). Shout out to Rutherford for being the only character on both charts.

WATCH STAR TREK: PRODIGY
Tumblr media
It is so good, you don't even know. It is the best New Trek show out there and no one is fucking watching it and it's breaking my heart because I know Netflix will cancel it if there isn't enough viewer time. It's already been cancelled once, it's on it's last chance.
PLEASE!!!

it's something else to watch people write posts about how star trek needs to be doing more shows with original casts and leave tos and tng alone already and then in the tags they clarify that they like lwd and that's it and it's like
i'm on my knees
watch prodigy. you want a new star trek epic? watch prodigy! new cast! new species and worldbuilding! arcs centered entirely on the new characters! sometimes there are legacy characters but they are there specifically to give the new characters agency! actually new interesting ideas and concepts about where the star trek world could go beyond rehashing old villains and better made commentary on society! watch prodigy! i promise you you're not gonna die because the writing is also meant to accommodate children, it's an actually good star trek, probably the best since ds9!

Listen to me. Shows aimed at kids will always have a lower bar than ones aimed at adults and especially ones aimed at adults who are already invested in the franchise. Prodigy didn't have to be as good as any other modern trek show. And yet, it's better. I do still love LD more but Prodigy is objectively the best new trek show. It's miles above the bar it had to reach while others (definitely Pic, arguably SNW) fail to reach even the bar set for Prodigy, let alone their own bars. Prodigy is a very good show, it both values its predecessors and looks into the future, it treats both existing and new characters fairly, it's the one new trek that truly doesn't shy away from worldbuilding, it preserves the spirit of star trek and even if none of this were true, it's the only show with the intention of bringing in new fans. It truly is the legacy series. Plus it is simply enjoyable to watch.
Watch Prodigy.

Did the French public service TV accidentally leaked Prodigy S2...? Like, a whole fucking season. And this is important, FOR FREE lmaoo
Because I can't find any Paramount source about a release, nor any France TV article (it wasn't broadcasted or anything, and this is mostly a replay site), the Star Trek official socials didn't advert about it.
I'm sorry this is hilarious 😭
And it's still up. Did the French public service leaked a whole ass season and CBS/paramount can't reach them ?

I knew watching lower decks pretty immediately that it was a love letter to star trek as a whole, but mostly TNG because I had watched TNG before lower decks. What I didn't know because I hadn't seen voyager yet when I watched prodigy, is that prodigy does the same for voyager.
I just finished season 4 of voyager where they run into the Dauntless, and I was like wait wait wait why does that look so familiar and it hit me like a train, it's Janeways ship from prodigy which I remembered from the episode where they're chasing down the protostar. I think if I rewatched prodigy, I'd appreciate more the homages to voyager and care more about the Chakotay storyline. Also I put on that episode, which has a body swap, and it's so fucking funny. Kate Mulgrew really went, this is my chance to be silly and by God I'm going to run with it.

The differences between Star Trek shows is largely about the difference in the captains. You never get the same kind of captain twice, they are all a different, like, concept. After Kirk, a powerful improviser, Picard was supposed to be a much more refined, experienced sort who know exactly what procedure called for in every situation, but the show also started to push him to the limits of that concept, tried to break him down as a person. Janeway and Voyager was this idea of like, what if a captain is put into this very long term situation where it seems almost like the rules shouldn't matter, and what is she going to do to keep herself and her crew 'human' while also keeping them alive. Enterprise was like, what if you start with somebody completely green with no knowledge of leadership or the galaxy or what should be done in basically any situation. How would that person learn and grow? What would history learn from that person? And on top of that, most of the shows try to expand Star Trek's representation of different groups, as Sisko was the first black series lead, Janeway was the first female series lead, etc.
Anyway Prodigy is like, what if you had a guy who chose charisma as his dump stat. Like what kind of captain can somebody even be if they are difficult to work with, habitually pretty unlikeable due to learned habits from an abusive parent, overconfident, odd-looking in-universe and not believed in most conflicts with authority. Do they need to learn to fit in? Do they need to conform? Is it enough to just believe in yourself and prove yourself to your crew through your actions or do you actually need to change?
To be clear, I love Dal to bits. That being said, in the story, he's seen largely as a shifty character by everyone and isn't valued by anyone other than Gwyn at the start of the story. It takes a long time and a lot of goodwill from the rest of his crew for them to really become a team, and people only really start to see his good qualities through his actions or through his persistence. I think this is really interesting. It's a pretty uncommon character type to have someone who isn't fundamentally 'bad' but is fundamentally irritating as your series lead. I'm a huge fan.

i don’t think people realize how incredible rok’s writing is in the context of star trek, where writing child characters has always been a hit or miss proposition, starting with the most well known “child” character wesley crusher. i understand the main cast is made out of minors, but even then rok stands out as the youngest among them, she’s only eight years old. the absolute power wesley could have had if he’d been treated the same way. because rok is young, and she’s been through a lot, but she’s not limited to being a little girl the others have to watch over. she’s so smart, brave, and resourceful. she’s a person that gets to have a say in what the group does and her words are listened to. but she’s also so young and she’s been through so much and the others need to put in work to make her feel better and safe. watching her grow is one of the greatest joys in prodigy. i can only imagine what that might have been like for wesley if he’d been written with that kind of empathy and humanity.
