!NEW ARTWORK! The Badb Catha (Battle Crow) is one of three iterations of war goddess collectively known as the Morrigna. The Morrigna are mentioned throughout Irish mythology and are said to foreshadow death and influence fate and the outcome of battles. The Battle Crow in particular is associated with striking fear and confusion in soldiers engaging in battle. The Morrigna are a prominent and terrifying motif in ancient Celtic mythology. Ravens and crows are prevalent throughout many ancient mythologies and are often associated with war, death, and premonition. This common theme across cultures is most likely because of Crows’ propensity for feasting on the dead flesh of fallen soldiers. However, another interesting theory indicates that these birds are so intelligent that they learned to recognize when a battle was about to begin from the formation of troops, etc, and then gather above/near the battlefield seemingly predicting the coming fighting and death. This is what gave them their seemingly prophetic abilities. I like the idea of Wargod in future SMT games being a distinct Neutral clan consisting of war gods that similarly represent a fundamentally ambiguous relationship to order or structure. Naturally though it'd consist of only a few Wargods, and whoever they are they would all be unlocked through special fusions. Ishtar or Inanna could be redesigned for that clan to reflect her status as a goddess of war who also had exactly that sense of ambiguous relationship to divine order. You could maybe squeeze Masakado in there somehow as a god who was a rebel against the emperor and also, after his death, the guardian of Tokyo even after having fought the central government and died in defeat.

A delighted squawk meets the scolding captain, with the bird himself sitting oh so comfortably upon the shoulder of one unfamiliar. After taking it upon himself to see the sights of this new land on his own, he needed a moment to rest — and what better way to do so with than a lonely stranger? They certainly don't seem to mind his company, but sure enough, his search for friendship is about to get him in trouble. Again.

"Sorry 'bout him," His grin sheepish, Motochika awkwardly scratches there at his cheek as he further approaches them. A second glance towards the parrot himself gives him the wrongful assumption that he's nothing more than hungry... But, whatever the reason, a sigh soon serves as a sign of his defeat. He can't take this damn bird anywhere!

     ❝DO YOU NOT MISS the way things were?❞ It was hard not to be curious when he was around a divine being. Being able to ask questions like this with actual answers had been…well…impossible. The gods did not speak to just anyone, and their voices had become quiet over the passing of the ages to the point that it made one wonder if they were even still there. So, was it not a given that Dawa would intrigue him so? Ignite curiosity that often was buried away? ❝Surely when you look at the vastness around you and take note of the many changes, it must fill you with nostalgia for what was, yes?❞ Ozymandias certainly wasn’t immune to that sense of longing. Then again, Dawa seemed to take things in stride in a way that he wasn’t sure that he could. Perhaps there was a reason for that? Maybe it was just their mindset that was altogether different due to what they were? He had a great deal of questions, although he wasn’t quite sure they would ever get any answers. It made him wonder if it was even possible to completely figure out their many plethora of puzzle pieces in a single lifetime.

       ❝Heh, how pleasing that you would think to come and visit me of all individuals.❞ Puffing himself up like an oversized rooster, he smirked – practically glowing with contentment. Sure Dawa was basically just rummaging through things like a raccoon – HIS things at that – he allowed it. It wasn’t as if they would listen to him anyway-- ❝While you are here, you should tell me more about this homeland of yours. I will never wholly know if it, but you painting a picture gives me something to ponder when the moon rises. So, how about we exchange tales, hm?❞
