They put so much effort into this, including a whole playlist of a soundtrack. Like, whoa. I listen to this podfic for comfort because the way it's made just fucks. It really itches my little brain. jellyfishfire if you happen to see this, know at one point your podfics were my religion for the entirety of 2022, just ask my friends, i could not shut up about you.

So I'm trying to find this podfic that I listen to years ago but I have no idea what the name was ,it was I think, here's what I remember wei ying wen ing and wen Qing go to wei ying's nephew's naming ceremony or was it his birthday I can't remember but I do remember that Yu Ziyuan and Jiang Fengmian are alive and they are there at grandsons birthday or naming ceremony and like some chaos goes round and all that and then madam yu just walks up to Wei ing and ask for his you know risk to check if he has a golden core or not that's what I remember I don't know all the details but I really want to listen to it again and I can't find it.

It was a profound learning experience, that's for sure. One of the things I learned is that podficcing with editing means spending SO MUCH TIME with the fic - at least, the way I did it: reading it, then reading it out loud, then listening to myself read it while checking it against the text (I def failed on that part with a few words, sorry!). I think it would have been a very difficult experience, rather than one that just took a lot of time, if I didn't like the fic quite as much as I do. Thank heavens it's basically a perfect fic!

I learned that I need to both plug in my microphone AND talk into the front of it, not the back. Those were difficult but necessary lessons.

I also learned that one of my dogs wants to bark whenever he hears me talking about Jin Guangshan which, fair.

ah i wanted to send this earlier but i forgot 😭 this half day i enjoyed relistening to my fave downloaded podfics (tho commenting is still on hold for later), and i wondered, would it be a hassle for podficcers to directly rec their mp3 for example? idk how many already have a masterlist link doc, or if the can share the drive folder/ archive dot org page? 🩵❤️

flamingwell: A bit late given that A03 is back up now, but the Audiofic Archive is a great place to go for non-AO3 podfics for your future reference! It's a fan run archive specifically for podfic and other audio fan works. Many people use it as a backup for their podfic, and there's also a good chance that especially older podfic might be there and not on AO3 at all. Less likely for mdzs drive it's fairly new, but for older fandoms, you might find some surprise new-to-you podfic!
