I know I've technically already introduced the Feorian rulers but for the others...

I think this is my first poll on this blog? But yeah, It has been one of my main project ideas for the longest time to make official bio references for the main ruling monarchs of each of the kingdoms in my novel, but it keeps getting put off to the side as I have become stuck on how to go about certain points for them. I think one of the main problems was just putting their info(which was previously bullet points) into the standard paragraph-description format and refining their info to match better with their kids and my current ideas. I do want to be serious about getting to them, though!

So, this poll is mainly to help figure out how I should format their bios! Originally(like the Feorian royals on here I mention above and all their posts on my Instagram a couple of years ago), I grouped both the kings' + queens' info into a general description for each couple, which I think would have worked before, but with my current style for writing bios I think it wouldn't really work out anymore with how long the information would be. I'm currently working on other projects at the moment so I won't be getting to these right away, but I wanted to go ahead with making this poll so I can start getting ideas!

Here are the first set of couples that I wanted to do from that shipping meme again! These are for the royals of Feor, Arian, and Erdennia, three of the four main kingdoms from my novel, The Lost Rainbow( @thelostrainbowthenovel )! I am not doing the Mareas’ royals though, only because they do not have a very positive relationship like the other ones do, so their answers would not be as fun or romantic. I hope that makes sense, and I hope you guys enjoy! ^w^

They keep things pretty reserved in front of others, though when they are in private they are a lot more affectionate in their own ways, especially Soleil~

They do not argue that much to be honest, though sometimes Soleil does wish her husband would soften up to show a warmer side to others more

“Mon Amor”,  “Darling”, “Dear”, “Love”, ones like that

Both can, though Soleil most often since she’s the more openly affectionate one~

It varies depending on their mood, though again I would say Soleil just a tiny bit more

Vulcan, surprisingly. It was during one of the dates they had to get used to each other before their marriage, they were just hanging out casually together before he decided to say it~

While Soleil certainly loves to flirt with her husband, it can actually be Vulcan who ends up saying some more “bold” things to his wife to liven things up during council meetings~

Neither really since they have a royal kitchen staff for that, but Vulcan does know some grilling stuff from back in their army days

. Who wakes up to calm the baby:

It varies, but mostly Vulcan did with each of their children, as he often liked to let his wife rest(especially after her accident)

Training/sparring together, or on more relaxed days they like to simply read together by the fireplace~

When Soleil had the near-fatal accident during one battle that left her with her long and large burn scar, and also depleted her of all her magic, Vulcan was absolutely devastated. He stayed by her side the whole time she was healing, trying his best not to break down and to remain strong, for both her and their eldest children’s sake, who were both very young at the time. Eventually she got better physically, and Vulcan too was happy to see her feeling better, though he would still have moments of worry for her for a while afterwards, not wanting to almost lose her again...

Although they were originally arranged to be married(they both also knew each other as children) when they were younger, the two naturally bonded together over the course of their engagement, to the point where they were truly in love by the time of their wedding, and have still been going strong to this day~

- Noelani and Caelestis Neptune (Queen + King of Arian)

. Is the most affectionate:

Both are affectionate in their own ways, but Caelestis especially likes showing his wife a little more affection, like with simple cheek kisses to cheer her up and whatnot~

The two of them rarely argue, though they do have some tense conversations when it comes to addressing the issues the nobles have with their daughters sometimes

Noelani actually, since she used to be a bit more ‘wild’ when she was younger that combined with her more bubbly nature can make her give some good kisses to her husband~

Noelani first said it, since he was the main light of her life during the time her parents got very sick many years ago and she wanted to show her appreciation for him in that way

Both are more reserved to say stuff like that often, but sometimes Caelestis likes to be a bit more playful with his remarks to hear his wife laugh and smile~

Both actually have some cooking experience, Caelestis as he often helped his family cook when he was younger, and Noelani does know some baking since it was one of her favorite things to do with her mother when she was young too

. Who wakes up to calm the baby:

Noelani often took it upon herself to watch over their children when they younger to ensure they were healthy and safe(as her younger brother had died as a baby, and she feared a similar fate would befall on her children), though Caelestis would oftentimes take over for her to give her some rest and reassure her their children would be fine

. Their favorite non-sexual activity:

In their free-time from royal duties they like to enjoy the arts together, whether it is visiting an art museum or watching a theater production

When they first met and really started getting to know each other more, it was during the time Noelani’s parents got very sick and she had to take over the throne much earlier than originally expected. She was very worried for her parents and overwhelmed with all the duties that came with being a new, young queen at the time, that she had accidentally shut Caelestis out for a while as they were just getting closer...

Once Noelani felt relieved enough in her life to let Caelestis back in, they spent a good amount of time together that they actually got married and settled down with their family early on in their relationship, and are still happy together to this day as they keep each other on their toes~

- Demeter and Enki Erdmann (Queen + King of Erdennia)

Demeter most often, since Enki is more shy and reserved than his wife to be more ‘bold’ like her

. Their most common argument:

They never really argued much to be honest, but sometimes Enki does wish his wife would not tease him so much and be a little more serious at times, but it’s never been a big enough problem to warrant an actual argument

. Nicknames for each other: 

“Dear”, “Hon”, “Sweetheart”, as well as them just having a bunch of other cuddly nicknames, or more playful ones on Demeter’s part(such as her referring to him as her “short king” lol)

Demeter most of the time because she was rather spunky and a bit of a ‘wild child’ when she was younger, but Enki actually has a humble ‘strength’ to him that can leave his wife pretty flustered but excited afterwards~

Back when they were first dating as young teens they both said it around the same time, with Enki saying it first albeit quiet and softly, but as soon as Demeter found out what he said, she gladly said it right back~

Enki since he grew up cooking a lot with his family, but Demeter also knows a bit of cooking herself, more so with drinks(like her signature smoothies), sweets, and nice little snacks

They alternated when it came to their three children, though Enki took over more when Gaia was born, as her birth was a little much for Demeter at the time and he was more than happy to let his wife rest up

Despite loving children and originally planning to have several, they sadly have dealt with fertility issues over the years. They were surprised to have their first when they did at a young age, and while they did want to wait at least a couple years before having their next child, it wouldn’t be until 10 and 15 years later for their other two children to come along after their first. They are of course more than grateful for and love their three children, but they were still a bit sadden for a while that they could not have as many as they originally wanted...

Ever since they first met when they were children Enki has always been so inexplicably gravitated towards Demeter, as despite her more bold and playful nature and his more quiet and brooding one, she always managed to make him smile and his first fond memory of her was how she made him laugh~

🔥 King Vulcan Von Brandt 🔥

Wanted to do another height comparison! This time with the queens and kings, mostly so I could compare the shortest(Arethusa) and the tallest(Caelestis) lol. The approximate heights for each of them(from left to right):

Arethusa is 5′4″, Soleil is 6′1″, Noelani is 6′2″, Demeter is 5′9″, Enki is 5′5″, Lian is 5′10″, Caelestis is 6′4″, and Vulcan is 6′2″.

These were some sketches I did for the kings + queens back in 2021, that I always meant to ink and color to make as finished drawings but I never got around to it. Also, since I’ve made both changes to their physical appearances and their basic information since then, I have brand new bios and references in the works currently. I’m not too sure when those will come out, but it is/was a project that I have been wanting to do for a long time so hopefully sooner rather than later!

In the meantime, I hope you enjoy! Originally I was going to include general information about the couples, but since I am in the process of reworking everything I am just including the bare minimum right now.

I did these sketches for the kings + queens back in 2021 that I’ve had in my drafts since then too, that I always meant to ink and color to make as finished drawings but I never got around to it. Also, since I’ve made both changes to their physical appearances and their basic information since then, I will be making brand new references for them sometime. I’m not too sure when those will come out(as I have some other projects I’m working on at the moment), but it is/was a project that I have been wanting to do for a long time so hopefully it will be sometime soon this summer!

In the meantime I will be sharing these old sketches and a little information about them, originally they were all going to be in the same post but I thought that would get too long. But, I hope you enjoy and to start off, we have the rulers of Feor~ 🔥

- Ruling King Vulcan(47) and Queen Consort Soleil(45) Von Brandt are the current reigning royals of the Kingdom of Feor and the parents to Ignatius, Hestia, Flint, and Ashton. Both come off as the type who are very stern and intimidating upon first glance, but deep down they are a lot more open-minded and accepting than one would think. They have known each other from the time they were children, but it was not till they were both over the age of 16 were they arranged to be married. Their arrangement aside, the two were already close as friends and knew they wanted to get to know each other romantically before their marriage, and through their dates they truly did feel in love when their wedding finally came. Vulcan tends to come off as very serious and no-nonsense, preferring a strong and logical approach when it comes to ruling, but he softens up a lot around his family. Soleil comes off as very wise and mature, used to have trouble expressing her emotions and inner troubles to others but is a lot more lively nowadays. While they are technically allies with Mareas through the Elemental Alliance, in truth they still see the Water Kingdom as their “rivals” and both Vulcan and Soleil do not care for Queen Arethusa and King Lian’s attitudes, to put it as lightly as possible. Though they have their thoughts over the queen and king, the two actually don’t mind their children and see them all as good kids, even Brooke who is often seen as the “problem child” between him and his siblings. While they have not gotten a solid confirmation from him yet, both have their speculations that their eldest son Nate is gay and that he is secretly seeing Prince Brooke, given how the Mareasian-style engagement ring he wears kind of gives it away and from noticing how they look at each other, but as Nate has not said anything they have no real proof at the moment and are patiently waiting for him to tell them himself.

- Princess Hestia "Tia" Von Brandt . Age: 18 . Gender: female . Sexuality: demisexual . Family: Vulcan(father), Soleil(mother), Ignatius(older brother), Flint(younger brother), Ashton(younger brother) . Relationships: single(currently), Tyson Brenton(future) . Abilities: slight fire magic(natural), sword-fighting, hand-to-hand combat Second child and only daughter of Ruling King Vulcan and Queen Consort Soleil, younger sister to Ignatius and older sister to Flint and Ashton, and princess of Feor. Growing up, Tia always had a hard time trusting and socializing with her peers, not really knowing how to interact with them and preferring to spend most of her time with only her parents and older brother. It was not till after a few years of her schooling that she got diagnosed with autism, which was very liberating for her in that she finally understood herself and her struggles better, yet at the same time it did make her feel more isolated as some others who found out treated her like a delicate object instead of a human being. It was very frustrating for her, and became even more so when she started gaining an interest in fighting. Many older close-minded nobles thought it wasn't right for their princess to get interested in fighting, and actively discouraged her despite some of the strongest warriors in the kingdom being female. Yet, she always had an interest in it after hearing her mother's stories from her own days as a warrior, and once she was old enough she started taking training lessons from both her parents, regular combat training from her father and sword-fight training from her mother. Nowadays she is an amazing and excellent swordswoman and one of the strongest fighters in Feor, even being the young captain of her own small company in the army that specializes more in weapon-wielding. Her relationship with her older brother has always been strong even when they were children, the two always being the other’s closest confidant and first choice when they need to vent to someone. When Tia was big enough they were also each other’s main sparring partner, and though they specialized in different areas than each other, they always made sure their matches were conducted fairly between them. Aside from physical activities, Tia has more of an artistic bone in her body than her brother and has a special interest in music, as she learned to play both the guitar and violin when she was young, and used to put on mini recitals for her family quite regularly. Always guarded, she is careful with her emotions and actions and tends to come off as quite intimidating at first glance, but she genuinely means well. Though she may appear stubborn, she is very open-minded and is always willing to give others a chance even when some others don't, as she despises those who shelter and look down on others for not fitting their "standards" for anything. While she does not have many friends as it takes her a little while to feel comfortable referring to others as such, she is fairly friendly with the royal children from the other kingdoms, and even has one friend from Feor in the form of Lady Emberleigh Brand, who acts as an older sister figure to Tia but they have not interacted much since Emberleigh's retirement from the army. As well, she has started spending a little more time lately with Tyson Brenton, the rebellious and trouble-making son of Feor's top general, tending to find his constant playfulness and joking manner exhausting, but also a little endearing as he is one of the only people her age who properly respects and treats her as a person.

He has attended almost every royal council meeting and conference as he could once he was allowed to sit in on them, finding it low-key fascinating to learn how both his and other kingdoms and countries work. As well, since Feor is very military-oriented he has done physical combat training since he was young and is very strong, though as he is very exceptional in his fire magic, he tends to rely on that the most in battles. A bit reckless and impulsive, he has several tiny scars all over his body from going head-first into battle sometimes but he is also a very capable leader, as he has been tasked as being a captain in the army by his father. Though, as his kingdom has not seen actual battle for a while he usually shirks off from training to go do something else instead. While most of his interests and activities are more physical-based as he is not really the artistic type, one art form he always did enjoy was calligraphy, as he used to practice it a lot when he was bored and did not want to work on his paperwork. Generally pretty serious, poised, and confident, he only lets his guard down around his loved ones and closest friends, and is quite humble and secretive about himself. He has a tendency to bottle up his more negative thoughts and emotions too much, causing him to accidentally lash out at times but he always does his best to apologize if he notices he hurt the other person's feelings. Aside from his sister, Nate's two closest friends and confidants in life are Lord Kenneth Arden and Lady Damini Koeler, whom he both met when they were all young and who also are in the army with him. While he has a good relationship with both, many nobles are particularly interested in his bond with Damini, as they wish for Nate to choose her as his future bride, despite them just being good friends whose hearts both lay with other people. At one royal conference when he was a child was when he first met Prince Brooke Alagona of Mareas, who thought it would be funny to rile up and mess with the Feorian prince. As Nate was more easily agitated at this point in his life, he did not take Brooke's treatment of him lightly and thus started what would be the rivalry between the two. This dynamic continued on whenever they saw each other after that point, before they eventually realized it was petty and decided to put their differences aside as teens and become close friends instead. Eventually once they reached their young adult years their feelings further developed, to the point they decided to enter into a relationship together. They have been seeing each other in secret for the past five years, and despite all the strain that is put on their relationship at times they are still going strong, to the point that they recently exchanged promise rings together to symbolize their devotion and plans for the future together.

Finally getting back to working on my novel! Was taking a bit of a break to focus on some other projects and stuff of mine, but I’ve been low-key wanting to get back to it lately, so yeah. But anyway, here is some info about the Fire Kingdom, its king and queen, history, a little bit of its politics, and just some minor info as well!

Dark, black clouds and smoke everywhere, but it isn't harmful to the inhabitants or environment. There is plenty of fire and lava around, but the citizens have it all pretty much contained. . The second youngest kingdom, but still old/historical in its own right. . A nomadic warrior group for a long time, it took them a while to settle into a monarchy. Although the longest and current royal family to this day, the Von Brandts were not the original ruling family. . Being from a warrior group, the Fire Kingdom has the strongest and biggest military of all the kingdoms. The warriors have been in numerous battles, and have won a lot of wars as well. One of their longest feuds has been with the Water Kingdom, but has kept it to a minimum due to the alliance made between all 4 kingdoms centuries ago. . While they make sure all their citizens are well-rounded, their main focus and value is strength, both physically and emotionally, confidence, and bravery. "Weakness" is often frowned upon, but not exploited. Most people support the military anyway. . In terms of their politics, they are a mix of traditional and progressive. They still cling to a lot of old ideas but are not hesitant to change things if needed. . Most nobles come from warrior families rather than political ones, so their council is not the biggest. However, they pride themselves on having only the most competent and capable members rather than the most members.

Queen Soleil Von Brandt

Background and Bio:

Queen of the kingdom of Feor, wife of Vulcan, and mother to Ignatius, Hestia, Flint, and Ashton. Soleil grew up as the only daughter of one of Feor's most notable noble families, having four brothers. She did not despise being the only girl of her siblings however, as she got along fairly well with all of her brothers growing up. She knew Vulcan when they were children, back when he was just the prince and they were not arranged yet to be married. She followed in her families footsteps and joined the army when she was of age, fighting alongside her two older brothers and Vulcan. When they were both over the age of sixteen she and Vulcan were arranged to be married, doing so several months after she turned eighteen. She continued her work as a soldier for many years, even after having her first two children, before one fateful battle happened that not only gave her her burn scar, but also almost completely depleted her of all of her once powerful and strong magic. With no magic left, she took to wielding daggers and swords to defend herself with, being her daughter's first teacher on how to properly wield and fight with her own swords when she was big enough to learn. She is a mature and wise queen, at first having a little trouble expressing herself and her emotions when she was younger, but has grown to become a lot more lively since then, even a little flirty to get her husband's attention now-and-then. While she is married into the royal family, she still has a good amount of influence. Nowadays she works on maintaining a strong presence as a role model for those in similar positions as herself when she was younger, that despite having a horrible accident that takes away a vital part of yourself, that there's other options in life out there to continue standing strong despite what others may say about you.
