BurningGreymon, conhecido como Vritramon(ヴリトラモン) no Japão, é o DigiEspírito Feral que Takuya Kanbara adquiriu no décimo primeiro episódio, "Derrote-me!! O Lendário Guerreiro Vritramon se Enfurece", através de Shamanmon. No entanto, o DigiEspírito era tão descontrolado, ao ponto de fazer o rapaz, dentro do poderoso guerreiro selvagem, ter dificuldades em distinguir os amigos dos inimigos. Junpei(Beetlemon) e Kouji Minamoto(KendoGarurumon) tiveram dificuldades para lidar com Takuya(BurningGreymon). Tomoki, porém, colocou senso moral em Takuya, acalmando o espírito violento de BurningGreymon com lágrimas. Takuya reverteu ao estado normal, e quando a crise com Gigasmon chegou a um ápice crítico, uma vez que ele sequestrou Tomoki. Takuya teve de recorrer à DigiEvolução para BurningGreymon. Takuya, sabendo que não poderia usar o poder total de BurningGreymon na floresta, atraiu Gigasmon para uma área não florestada, e usou os poderes flamejantes para derrotar Gigasmon e recuperar o DigiEspírito de Kumamon que ele roubou de Tomoki. Mais Tarde, Junpei adquiriu o poder de MetalKabuterimon e depois de uma luta acirrada, ele derrotou Grumblemon e Zoe recuperou o DigiEspírito de Kazemon.

Takuya mais tarde obteve a DigiEvolução dupla para Aldamon...
