okay, first, i want to preface this with the fact that i found this movie delightful i streamed it on tubi. is it good? no. but is it an experience, abso-fucking-lutely.
so without further ado, five life lessons i learned from voyage of the rock aliens.
don't settle for less. if you want true love, not only is that okay, but it's out there for you! maybe in the form of a smoking hot alien guy.
don't go into lake eerie.
diane is the best girl. if anyone could make friends with a chainsaw-wielding maniac, diane could.
don't let hot alien guys talk you into giving up all your capacity for emotion. listen to me. they're gonna drive a hard bargain. but don't do it.
the best kind of alien persuasion is lack of pollution :D

I feel like I need to talk about watercolor ground some day. I put this on these two pages in my one sketch / note book and it worked really REALLY well.
Last drawing of 2022: I was in a Voyage of the Rock Aliens mood and did a quick drawing of two of the main characters. I used my custom pallet which has Daniel Smith & Holbein watercolours
First drawing of 2023: I was in a Toshinden mood and drew Gaia. I used the Peerless watercolors that I got from my first unboxing video. Needless to say, I really need to talk about water colour ground lol!

I like Tuvok canonically having a crush on Noss that he struggles through because it means that something about this stranded spider hunter appealed greatly to him and I want to know what that is
#TV writers don't write (especially female) love interests with much unique personality so I'm extrapolating heavily#I also changed Noss' design to be more alien-y and reflect her situation (stranded for '14 seasons' alone in hostile territory) more#+ Tuvok's hair is slightly grown out bc they've been there for a while#Noss: -covered in sand dirt and a bit of blood- TUVOK found a rock. It reminds me of your prayer stones - you'll accept??#Tuvok: -accepts the rock gratefully- they are not prayer stones. They are for meditation.#Noss: Blood washes off I used it to kill animal for dinner!!! But for you?
