i honestly do have this fear about pet vlogs. I watch a few pet vlogs regularly, they’re fun and relaxing. Usually, the vids consist of the person with their buddy, posting daily vlogs of their companions antics in between regular work, and sometimes their companion hits huge and they can monetize those vids

you see where Im going with this.

but I worry that there are some pet vlogs - a few I can name - that are the jake paul, if you will, of pet vlobs. What Im getting at, is the person has their companion (pet) which they vlog about, but it’s all click bait bullcrap. Or a lot of the vids are. But more alarmingly, they have a direct push in making their companion famous or well known through artificial promotion.

There’s nothing wrong with having merch available of your pet, if people enjoy vids or vlogs as per normal. The only real fear Im directing to is a person who has the intent of purchasing a specific companion in order to market, or use the pet/companion as the focus of their channel.

A lot of people share their life with their companion, and then come to the idea of posting videos or pictures, or vlog with their friend. And that’s great, the contents great, I appreciate that person sharing this time with us.

But it’s not the same thing if someone decides they can get youtube famous or exploit a pet, by simply provided content of their daily antics with that animal. But first they have to find that special companion, and purchase it.
