Time Travel Tuesday * 1871 King Block in Toledo, Ohio * Here is a great photo of the King and Colburn Block on the northwest corner of Summit St. and Madison Ave. in Downtown Toledo around 1871 when the Second National Bank was located on the first floor. * In 1873, the Toledo Library Association occupied the second floor; J. Royal Lamp post in Amsterdam, Netherlands

19th-century cast-iron lanterns in front of the Royal Palace Amsterdam. There are actually six of these surrounding the palace. They were commissioned by the royal family in 1844, in honour of the inauguration of King Willem II.

The richly decorated lamppost each topped with an imperial crown was designed by artist Paul Tétar van Elven (1803-1882).

Initially, they worked on gas light as the first street lamps in the city. In 1917, they were converted to electric lamps. They have been listed as a national monument and were last restored in 2011.

The Taj Mahal - the first light of the morning sun ☀️ The Taj Mahal or the Crown of the Palace; is an ivory-white marble mausoleum on the southern bank of the river Yamuna in the Indian city of Agra. It was commissioned in 1632 by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan (reigned from 1628 to 1658) to house the tomb of his favourite wife, Mumtaz Mahal; it also houses the tomb of Shah Jahan himself. Construction of the mausoleum was essentially completed in 1643, but work continued on other phases of the project for another 10 years. The construction project employed some 20,000 artisans under the guidance of a board of architects led by the court architect to the emperor, Ustad Ahmad Lahauri.
