Uninstalling.
I'm upgrading my graphics card (and entire PC really) and I really cannot be bothered figuring out how to make TS2 work on it right now. Not that I've tried, but I haven't played for 6-ish months and as I'm sure we all know: the urge to play TS2 comes and goes over the decades.
My plan is to keep all the parts I'm replacing, with the eventual goal to one day build a dedicated TS2 computer. So until that time... this is not goodbye. I'll be back! Sometime! Look for my owl!

Last day of my vacation and I've spent it with revamping and redoing my defaults. I put together a little collection for the maternity outfits, and if anyone would like to have it - here you go! It's nothing special really. Please forgive the shitty preview.

1. are you named after anyone?
Yes-ish? My first name is a feminised form of my father’s name, and also my maternal grandmother's middle name. Sadly, she died long before I was born, when my mother was only three years old, so I’m quite glad that her name lives on with me. My royalist mother also had a thing about a minor English princess, so I have her name as my middle name.
2. when was the last time you cried?
I honestly don’t remember - probably a few months ago. There has to be something very, very wrong for me to cry. It’s something I avoid doing, as I don’t like to lose control of my emotions.
3. do you have kids?
No, as a conscious choice. I’m really not cut out to be a parent, but I’ve never actually wanted to become one anyway, so it’s all worked out fine!
4. do you use sarcasm a lot?
I try not to, as I think it can be cruel, but it depends on the circumstances!
5. what sports do you play/have you played?
Although I didn’t know this until quite recently, I have dyspraxia. So, sport and I have never been on good terms! Yes, I was always that kid - the one who was chosen last for teams at school. I’ve also always despised exercise simply for the sake of it.
But, seven years ago I randomly took up Shotokan Karate - my husband had taken it up a couple of years before, and it was the first physical activity that had ever looked like fun to me! This year, I was finally awarded my black belt (1st Dan).
Thanks to my dyspraxia, and pesky osteoarthritis, it’s taken me nearly twice as long as anyone else to get to this point, but I absolutely love it - it’s the perfect blend of mental and physical challenge - and it’s the best thing I’ve ever done. It’s been fantastic for my balance, coordination, strength, agility, self-confidence and mental health. I’m now working towards being awarded 2nd Dan, in a couple of years hopefully. :)
6. what’s the first thing you notice about other people?
I found out only a few years ago, as an adult, that I’m autistic. But, I think the thing I’ve always picked up on when meeting someone new - even before I was consciously aware of this - is whether they are also possibly neurodivergent, and hence whether we have an immediate connection.
I now realise that nearly all my friends have also been neurodivergent in some way (also autistic, ADHD, dyscalculia), and that the friendships naturally sprang from an instinctive understanding, thanks to similarities in our way of perceiving and processing the world.
7. scary movies or happy endings?
Can I say neither? I have a ridiculously overactive imagination, and although I absolutely do not believe in the supernatural, scary films play on my mind literally forever. And I’m simply unmoved by clichéd happy endings.
I prefer films that make me think or imagine, and I’m quite partial to ambiguous endings, where I’m left to decide for myself what has actually happened, or what might happen next; ‘Inception’ is one of my favourite films. :)
I also love plain old sci-fi, with any kind of ending!
8. any special talents?
I’m a master at packing stuff into spaces in the most efficient way possible. Not very exciting perhaps, but useful.
I’m also very good at inductive reasoning. (Which is generally what Sherlock Holmes uses, not deduction.)
9. where were you born?
In the UK. Which is sadly just one big embarrassment these days.
10. what are your hobbies?
Ever since I first laid my hands on a computer, my first love has been video gaming. The Sims of course (1 and 2 - couldn’t get into 3 and haven’t bothered with 4), which I always come back to, but also various strategy games, such as the Civilization series.
Also, choral/ensemble singing and genealogy. Oh, and my beloved karate of course!
11. do you have any pets?
No, I can barely look after myself, let alone be responsible for another lifeform too! In an ideal world, I’d have guinea pigs (which I had as a child and just adore, as they are the sweetest creatures imaginable), or perhaps rats.
12. how tall are you?
5′ 4.5″
13. fave subject in school?
Biology. I was born to be a scientist, and have always found the phenomenon of life to be endlessly fascinating.
14. dream job?
Once I would have said scientist - which I am now - but interesting though it can be, there’s also a lot of stress. I think that now, I’d rather be a self-employed professional genealogist. I’m considering trying to make the switch.
15. eye colour?
Grey-green. I didn’t used to like the colour, but I’ve grown to appreciate it more now, as it’s a little unusual.

current obsession: playing games on my computer! today i finally got my new monitor and i'm just so obsessed with my pc, with my new graphics card i'm finally playing every game on ultra and playing all the games i could never run on my old setup :3

1. are you named after anyone?
Yes, after my great-grandmother, who died when I was a baby. When I turned 16, I also took my great-grandmothers last name, simply because I didn't want to carry my father's last name, and she had the most beautiful last name from my entire family.
2. when was the last time you cried?
Three days ago.
3. do you have kids?
No. I follow the philosophy of antinatalism. While I would love to have children, I believe it would be cruel, especially with my genetics. If I had a choice, I wouldn't want to be born, what if my child grows up and feels the same as I do now?
4. do you use sarcasm a lot?
Probably.
5. what sports do you play/have you played?
Never played any sports in my life. I have some breathing problems so physical activity is harder for me than for a healthy person, although I do fitness consistently (lifting and calisthenics) for the first time in my very unfit life. Funny enough, I have the war to thank for that. This winter, when we had blackouts, I was looking for something to do in the evenings, when it's dark, cold and dreary. I tried to do yoga for relaxation, but soon discovered just how weak I was. So I started to include more and more strength building exercises, HIIT workouts, until finally switching to lifting weights.
It's amazing how much easier it is not to quit if your goal isn't to lose weight / get bigger butt or flatter stomach, but to get stronger and have fun. Modern society (yes, we're getting into the "society" talk) is trying to convince you, especially if you're a woman, that you should do fitness for looks. I'm sick of seeing all the female-oriented videos on youtube captioned like "get tOnEd muscles for the summer" or "burn belly fat in SEVEN DAYS" (it's impossible btw). Because god forbid you want to actually grow your muscles, not get them "toned", whatever that means. God forbid you want to become stronger or more flexible, not skinnier with a bigger butt.
I've never been able to stick to a routine because I hate boring repetitive cardio, and it can be very disheartening to see no change on the scale when your only goal is to lose weight. So I thought I was just not a fitness kind of person. But when you feel your body getting stronger, when you realize that your progress depends only on your efforts, it becomes so exciting and fun.

6. what’s the first thing you notice about other people?
Voice and smell. I'm autistic, so I almost never look in the face, but even when I do I usually don't register person's appearance very well. For example, I pass by my neighbors every day, but I have no idea what they look like, so I will never recognize them if we ran into each other somewhere else.
7. scary movies or happy endings?
Scary movies, preferably with happy endings.
8. any special talents?
I'm very good at remembering song lyrics. And I can immediately think of a song for any situation, any prompt.
9. where were you born?
The most depressing town in Donetsk oblast, Ukraine.
10. what are your hobbies?
Maybe these are not really hobbies but - rats and video games. Also, walking around taking pictures of trees, sky and turtles. lol
11. do you have any pets?
I have two cats, a dog and six rats.
12. how tall are you?
173 cm (5.6)
13. fave subject in school?
Ukrainian and Biology
14. dream job?
None. Well, I would love to have a greenhouse and a small business of growing and selling houseplants.
15. eye colour?
Greyish-bluish-greenish something. Always green when I cry, for some reason.

Yes! I was named after german model Klaudia Schifer.
2. when was the last time you cried?
Probably a few days ago, I cry easily and I sometimes get very sad, so it's a dangerous combo haha.
3. do you have kids?
No :)
4. do you use sarcasm a lot?
I wouldn't say I use it a lot, but I definitely use it especially with certain people or certan situations.
5. what sports do you play/have you played?
I suck at most sports, so nothing really. Last year I started horse riding but that is a hella expensive hobby so I stopped going unfortunately :')
6. what’s the first thing you notice about other people?
Their eyes and their attitude.
7. scary movies or happy endings?
Happy endings all the way! I'm too much of a scaredy cat to like scary movies.
8. any special talents?
I'm very good at recognizing songs for some reason!
9. where were you born?
In Hungary, born and raised. :)
10. what are your hobbies?
I don't really know! I keep switching between them at a rapid pace, so it's different most of the times. But I guess in general I like playing games and writing stuff, sometimes drawing.
11. do you have any pets?
Unfortunately no but I love cats and I would die for them :( ❤
12. how tall are you? I'm 175cm or 5'9"
13. fave subject in school?
English and literature. So much that I decided to study that in Uni but I hated them at uni 😂

1. are you named after anyone?
Yes, I was named after my great-grandmother.
2. when was the last time you cried?
Like... yesterday? I cry a lot, it’s a whole thing.
3. do you have kids?
Nope, don’t want any!
4. do you use sarcasm a lot?
Not really, or not so much that I’d say it’s a defining... trait... in my mode of communication...? :p
5. what sports do you play/have you played?
I don’t play any now, but I played football (or soccer, if you’re not European?) for like 10 years when I was younger.
6. what’s the first thing you notice about other people?
Whether or not they’re as bad at keeping eye contact as I am, haha.
7. scary movies or happy endings?
Scary movies with happy endings? I mean, that happens right? At least up until the point where there’s the final “oops nevermind!” jumpscare at the end. I re-watched the movie It Follows last week and that part at the end where they’re walking down the street holding hands and there may or may not be someone following them is like a... oh hell yeah type of ending.
8. any special talents?
I always plug the USB in the right way around on the first try. I know, it really is incredible.
9. where were you born?
Norway! Next week is our day of constitution, I’m gonna wear a pretty dress and it’s gonna be really great.
10. what are your hobbies?
I like video games (haha). Aside from TS2, mostly World of Warcraft and whatever is Steam Deck compatible in my gigantic backlog. x) Oh, and I also have this dream of playing every single game on Gamepass on my Series X, but you wouldn’t believe how many bike-related games there are on there, super weird...
11. do you have any pets?
I have four cats. :)
12. how tall are you?
I’m 168 cm and if you don’t speak centimeters you’re gonna have to google it.

It’s been a while since I was in school, but I really liked English.

I work in health care and already have my dream job. <3
