Digimon Tamers - Episode 22
This was a decent episode. I feel like the "Devas" arc is stretched pretty thin, but at least we got some small doses of plot/character development in this one. When they brought up how many Devas there are left it was almost like they were speaking to the audience "don't worry, almost there!"
Notes:
They're doing a good job of emphasizing what Impmon went through. He's still roughed up and in hiding a whole 2 episodes later! I feel like we've seen the other digimon get roughed up pretty bad and they're fine 2 seconds later, but ohhh well.
Juri having the most cards but having no idea how to play the TCG was relatable. I definitely just collected cards for the nice pictures and the thrill of mystery booster packs (I mainly collected Neopets cards btw lol).
So weirdo kid is fixated on Culumon for some reason. They're equally mysterious and fans of staring at things, so I guess they deserve each other.
Impmon gets "called" somewhere? What does it mean...I assumed it meant he was being pulled back to the digital world, but IDK
I probably should have noted this earlier, but it seems sometimes enemy digimon are confined to a "digital field" and sometimes not...is it just the Devas that aren't? Also, with so many people witnessing digimon at this point, how is it not common knowledge that they're a thing?
Vikaralamon (yeah, had to google that) busted up a lot of buildings in Shinjuku, but conveniently not any important ones lol. Felt like a Marvel movie where people are just being decimated in the background and it's like "yeah, but they're NPCs so whatevs"
Cheesy blue cards scene was nice. Very "believe in the heart of the cards."
Only just realized that Taomon is the only perfect digivolution without the CGI digivolution sequence. (Ironically, it looks better lol). I know that that's how they always do it, with just the 2 main boys getting the CGI, but it feels a little silly to not just give them all the fancy animation when there's 3 MCs...
Isn't it kinda bad parenting for Jian's dad to just let him rush into danger all the time...? He's 10 :/

Dreaming To Reality: Oneiromancy Chapter Twenty Five - 24
Zhuqiaomon raised his head abruptly and looked up sharply, his eyes darting around as if he were intently searching the craggy ceiling of his volcanic lair. It was a startling sight to his servants, causing the eight reborn Devas to stare at their master with varying degrees of consternation and surprise. The great Holy Beast ignored them as his eyes narrowed, staring at something none of them could see.
Caturamon was the first to find his courage to speak. “My lord…,” the Shisa-dog Deva ventured before he looked up at the ceiling in turn, finding only volcanic rock long since hardened in place. “Is, ah, something amiss…?”
“Oh, no, of course not, chu~!” Kumbhiramon said lightly. “Lord Zhuqaiomon just felt like checking the ceiling for cracks, chu~!” The mouse Deva’s expression then deadpanned as he glared at the other Deva. “Of course something is ‘amiss’, you idiot, chu.”
“Are we under attack?” Vajramon asked, the bull centaur Digimon reaching to grip the hilts of his swords.
“Surely that play-pretend emperor wouldn’t be that stupid,” Sinduramon scoffed, the rooster Deva puffing up as he fanned his wings. “At least, not any more stupid than-”
“Stop distracting Lord Zhuqiaomon with your prattling,” Majiramon snapped before the dragon centaur Digimon turned to look at the holy beast in question, who still seemed to be searching for something.
Zhuqiaomon didn’t respond. Instead, he shifted his narrow-eyed glare at the ceiling itself. Then, without warning, he fanned his wings and took off skyward like a shot. With a blast of fire, the holy beast Digimon burst through the ceiling as if it were nothing more than paper rather than solid rock.
Makuramon blinked slowly as he shielded his eyes with his hand, staring after their flying master. The monkey Deva blinked again when Mihiramon rushed past him, the winged tiger Digimon in hot pursuit of his master. The rest of the Deva scurried about to avoid the rock debris.
All, save Vikaralamon, who remained fast asleep as the rocks bounced off his monstrous boar body without doing any damage. A snot bubble appeared in his nose, growing larger and larger with each snore before it popped, but even that was not enough to wake him.
Zhuqiaomon flew straight through his volcanic lair until he reached the open sky. Only then did he stop, fanning his wings as he directed his attention towards the source of his ire. In the distance, he could see the lofty mountain top that held the Temple of Miracles.
At least, it previously held the Temple of Miracles. Now, where the peak once stood, was a massive crater. And hovering above it, in a glistening golden bubble, was the rest of the peak as it held the Temple of Miracles suspended in the air.
Zhuqaiomon glared at the sight as Mihiramon came to a stop beside him and openly gaped, staring at the airborne temple. Without turning his head, the holy beast Digimon let out a low growl. “Find Neemon. Now.”

Ushiōken(丑王拳) - lit "Ox King Fist": Kidomarumon punches the enemy or gathers dark energy around his fist before firing it at an enemy in the shape of a gyuuki head.
Kama Kiba(鎌牙) - lit "Sickle fangs": Kidomarumon's tail lashes out in rapid order cutting his opponents in vital areas.
Additional Information
An Oni digimon known for its ferocious demeanor, Kidomarumon is a digimon constantly looking for the next test of its abilities. It has traveled extensively and developed its own unique combat style that is unorthodox, which makes fighting it troublesome. Its skin is tough from constant training and its large body is capable of taking extreme punishment. Its tail has a will of its own and has been known to cause trouble for it or refuse to fight when it doesn't feel like it. It is often caught fighting with its tail, but when the two act in unison, there is no digimon that can sneak up on them especially when its tail is looking for blood
[Kama Kiba]. Its left arm is bound in belts and metal bands that it uses in its daily training, this has made blows from them a force to be reckoned with. It's said that its left arm packs enough power to rival Leomon's Jūouken and Ogremon's Haouken when it throws a punch[Gozukiōken]. Its signature move is tangling up its opponents with its tail before dealing a devastating blow to their body that rattles them to their bones [Oni Lariat]. It's said that many Kidomarumon fall to ruin because of their lust of power, but if raised properly and with strict training, will become a digimon that can even shatter the heavens.

Digimon tamers retrospective- Episode 27
So it seems that, despite digimon being more feral in this continuity, there are small outcrops of civilization here. It is implied the the catalyst not only made it easier for digimon to digivolve, but also made them more sentient
Of course, most digimon still operate on their primal instinct due to the catalyst being hidden away, which is why theses villages are rare

Did not expect a ghost rider vs digimon crossover
One weird thing I’ve noticed: some digimon have aged variants as seen here the baby and elderly mudfrigimon(maybe it’s to reflect their mental age)
Also For some reason the English dub refers to the mudfrigimon as chuchidarumon
Jeri likes the taste of dirt apparently
And the dog deva caturamon. He’s probably the most destructive deva of the bunch, yes even more than vikaralamon, for reasons that will quickly become apparent
Impmon:” Ima fuckin SCREAM”
I think Tom Wyner did an excellent job voice catsuramon. He really plays up the sinister vibes
We learn that the devas and the sovereign have a lais sez faire approach to ruling the digital world, seeing as how very few seem to know their name
So the village seems to gather discarded data in the form of data packets, which is how I presume the mudfrigimon make more of themselves
We never find out just what behemoth is. My guess is that it’s similar grani; a non-digimon program that somehow gained a digi core.
So, Henry and takato get into their first and only major disagreement in the show on wether to stay and help the village fight behemoth. Henry wants to leave to continue the search for calumon, while takato doesn’t want to leave the mudfridgimon defenseless
Calumon is stuck in the forest of rejected fruitloops. He’s sad because he prefers Reese puffs(and because he misses his friends)
Strange that catsuramon choose impmon of all digimon. Sure he’s predispositioned to hate humans, and is weak willed enough to be manipulated, but so are a lot of digimon who are a lot stronger than impmon. Maybe he could sense a great power resting deep inside the little runt…
Impmon:”how dare you suggest I actually like those jerks and hide my loneliness behind a wall of snark and misanthropy!”
Catsuramon also makes impmon think he’s returned to ai and mako, showing he really does want to go back…only to show that he’s been replaced(and that they haven’t matured)
(Of course this could all be fake)
“There simply no place for you in the real world. We are the only real family you have” definitely not a cult
One particular disturbing thing about catsuramon is that he uses the same tactics as the very enemy he and the devas are trying to stop, right down to using a (very downed down)version of the the d-reapers mind screw. Beware he who fights monsters indeed…
“Guilmons gone berserk!” oh, you have no idea jeri
Catsuramons smile man…
Takato was 100% ready to get possessed to save guilmon
“The devas they defeated were never uploaded. Instead their data was discarded as if it were refuse” the weird thing is…catsuramon is right. The tamers stoped loading opponents digimon because they no longer needed to(and in hopes that it might create new digital life)
Impmon is very clearly struggling with his conscience when catsuramon tells him to kill his friends to become stronger, and yet he’s so desperate to be someone strong that he disreagards that little voice in his head telling him to stop…
“THEN RELINQUISH YOUR SOUL!”
🎶can you feel it, your changing, your changing, your changing alright, I hope your satisfied🎶
Also, there’s something darkly ironic about the dog deva(an animal associated with innocence and unconditional love) being the one to enact this deal with the devil. Doubly so , considering catsuramon is a holy beast digimon

Leomon:”don’t worry takato, I know how to save guilmon”
Leomon:”vibe check,bitch”
It can’t be a coincidence that that a pit of lava appear and behemoth just feel in and emerged with Beelzemon. Considering it never tried to control him, I think it was searching for him…
Headcanon that impmon is a reincarnated demon lord(if ryo can travel between universes, I don’t see why impmon can’t)and behemoth was running around looking for his master
Imagine that when the lava pit opened up, crest of gluttony flashed…
Also Beelzemon goes in the opposite direction of his targets. Maybe he wants to test his powers out first…
