Don't Let Go (911, Buddie, Buck&Eddie)

Buck wants to join the Diaz family. And all of us are rooting for him. Season 2&3 of 9-1-1. Buck/Eddie (Buddie) focused, with plenty of Buckley-Diaz family angst&fluff to keep us alive through the hiatus.

Power Over Me (Invisible Man, Fawkes/Hobbes)

Notes: I watched The Invisible Man for the first time back in 2007 into 2008 and loved every second of it. There was just something about the characters. It wasn’t your average sci-fi show or buddy cop show or ensemble show or main lead show. It integrated all of the above with a sort of “real world” feel and natural chemistry between all of the characters (this was especially true of the “buddy cop duo” Fawkes and Hobbes). Fawkes and Hobbes had petty arguments and childish antics, had the best time, and could have strangled one another (... um, and occasionally did? *awkward pause*). They also seriously, SERIOUSLY, loved one another. There are a lot of examples I could use to illustrate this, such as moments of grand sacrifice and life saving and “running up that hill” type scenes, but one of my favorite scenes is a simple one. In an episode from season one, titled “It Hurts When You Do This”, a doctor performs a procedure of Bobby Hobbes while he is not able to give appropriate consent and Fawkes infers that when one Robert Hobbes cannot speak for himself, Fawkes is his guardian.

Snippet of scene as follows:

“Suddenly my buddy has a hole in his head and nobody asked permission to do any kind of procedure--”

“Mr. Hobbes gave us permission!”

“Mr. Hobbes is in no condition to make that kind of decision. Ok? You should have talked to me.”

“You aren’t his family! You have no legal bearing on what we can and cannot do regarding his case. I-I don’t understand why you’re reacting like this.”

Fawkes grabs the surgeon by his shirt front. “What did you do to him?”

*throws hands*

My point is this: the show still has appeal to me over ten years later after re-watching the first season. It holds up. There are a lot of reasons, but if you’ve seen any of my work over the past decade, you know I’m a sucker for a good friendship or more-ship and Fawkes/Hobbes definitely has all of those little moments. Bobby Hobbes manages to be in turns sexy, weird, and deeply tragic, while Darien himself is a ball of vulnerability and good intentions wrapped up in a touch starved package of a man.

So watch the show. Or watch my vid. Or something. And tell me what you think. I am likely going to be uploading my older I-Man videos if there is an interest in them still. I’d forgotten just how vulnerable and *soft* Darien is. He may be my favorite lead male of all time? Why did they cancel this after two seasons again? Oh well, it’s perfect as is.

School has come to an end, so I finally get to be a little creative again. These dorky guys were the backdrop to my final few months of college grind. I fell for their banter and on-screen chemistry right away. It got me through many late night study sessions.

"Guillotine" (The Flash, Harrisco).

Aquaexplicit inspired me to make a video for this song: “I know that you love me... love me... even when I lose my head. Guillotine.” Sound appropriate, anyone? Song covers The Flash up to the most recent episode 4x04. I’ll never stop seeing the heart eyes between these two. This was a bitch to vid because sony vegas was playing tricks on me, but I’m so thrilled with the outcome that I can’t even complain. Enjoy!

Karma (Queen of Mystery, Seol Ok & Wan Seung)

New video for possibly my favorite drama of all time, Queen of Mystery. I’m so happy they decided to do a second season in February. If there’s one drama you watch, it should probably be this one. The road these two took from pig-tail pulling to ride-or-die for each other was hypnotizing. And Seol Ok is wonderful, got it? That’s probably all you need to know. Also, the video is mostly Wan Seung making grabby hands at her because that’s their entire relationship.
