I just realized something absolutely brilliant in your writing (that I'm sure everyone else already noticed lol)
Going through Balance and Equilibrium specifically for Niall's pov (because I absolutely adore how you write him, he's my favorite) and I caught this in Equilibrium that I never really stopped to think on
He jerked back and hissed air through his teeth, but he wanted to be a real sub, so he didn’t tell him to stop. Once the wheel moved back down, he got a flood of dopamine at the lack of pain. Niall had absolutely no clue if he enjoyed that or not.
And while it's clear he is enjoying it later, it suddenly clicked in my head that it's the perfect set up to what happens in Mistress' scene later when he is specifically told to color and he doesn't, and even his reaction when it gets addressed later
“So first you didn’t want me because I didn’t play hard enough and now you don’t want me because I’m too extreme? Is that right? Just want to make sure I’m following.” Niall tried to put some distance between him and Harry, but both Harry and Liam caught him by the wrists and floated him back.
I love that we get to see him learning and growing, but that Niall seems have it in his head that he has to be able to endure whatever they throw at him without coloring is so heartbreakingly well written and frankly rather realistic, of course someone new to scene would need time and help to figure out where the lines are for not only himself but his parents and there's bound to be missteps along the way.
(plus his family sounds awful the couple times they've been mentioned and that just adds to his worry and insecurities and I just love all the delicious angst)
Sorry, long essay to say that Niall is my favorite in the Vexxieverse, I adore your writing and the little foreshadowing I discover more and more each time I read it 🖤🖤🖤 hope you are doing well

I love that you caught my threads so much 😭. I don't think most people notice them but you're right, the foreshadowing is intentional and my favorite thing to do is to plant seed that don't sprout another book or two. It makes me so happy to read this!
I don't get comments often about it but a hint - almost everything happens in 2's in this series (hence the fic names). Just something fun to watch for ;).
Niall has a lot of very realistic issues both in himself and in the scene. I can say from experience that calling yellow or red can be fucking HARD to do in that mindset in the beginning. Plus joining the scene is like having to find yourself because you become a different person. So a switch has to do that twice. Amd a sub may naturally cling to the "I have to do this right" mindset. So I needed him to help me tell that side of the bdsm story.

What has been, so far, your favorite scene or moment to write in the Vexxieverse?
That's so hard, ha! I think the brat dom scene in Parallel will always be special to me because it was the scene that kind of launched the whole series. That feels like such an obvious answer tho lol. So I'm going to say.. The Show 😏

also, finished re reading the vexxieverse for like the third time and loved it just as much
Awe thank you! Yeah they hadn't been through the trials and tribulations of Hollywood and adulthood yet in that story, but I wanted to show their backstory 🥰. Really, it's Zouis that is the roots of Vexxie OT5, not Larry :).

This is so sweet, thank you so much! I've really enjoyed exploring each of the characters and relationships though sometimes it feels like theres just not enough space on the pages (which is why its such a long series), but I enjoy the challenge.

So, to be mushy for a moment as I reread Parallel for the 20th time:
You single-handedly pulled me into the 1D fandom. I'm not 100% sure what tag I had been looking up but Balance had just been updated; I write poly and it's one of my favorite things to read so I decided to check it out and I'm so glad I did. I've read all of the Vexxie fics so many times they've become comfort stories for me.

I've gone back and forth on this one. It will certainly be teased a bit but it's one of those kinks that can scare people off so I haven't decided. If I had a following of any kind, I'd do a poll. I may do a one shot supplemental chapter so people can skip it if they want 🤔

Hello! I've already started it and even have things planned through book 5 too. But I realized I needed thorough notes on everyone before I moved forward so I'm doing that now. I'm re-reading (and editing) Parallel now and once I go through them all, I'll start the new book.
My job got a little crazy on me and I've had less time to write but it should settle a bit soon :)
