I smile and pay attention to her and then to Vaval, who causes me to tear up just a little bit over his descriptions of the clones. As saviors. As beskar armor for the Jedi.
I haven’t try to remind myself to see if he’ll let me buy a copy of that one to show Jet.
I beam as Forest makes his way up to the stage, “oh these’ll be good.” I whisper to Ben.
Ben smiles softly, reaching up to wipe the tears from his eyes. “Yes- I’m very excited,” he whispers back, turning back to Forest.
“Hello my darlings,” Forest grins. “I am here to, as always, break your hearts with my words and put them back together with my charm.” He teases.
Everyone laughs quietly, including Ben, and then the audience goes absolutely silent in preparation for his poems.
And gods, his poetry is more beautiful than anything Ben’s heard in his entire life. Prettier, even, than Cody’s sweet sounds in bed. If that’s possible. Prettier than Anakin’s laughter.
No. Not quite as pretty as those. But a very close third. It moves him. Compels him. Makes him feel things he… didn’t really think he could feel about experiences he’s never personally had. He feels everything, right in the moment with Forest. Love. Joy. Heartbreak. Anger. Freedom.
When Forest is done, he loosens a shaky breath and claps along with everyone else, looking to you as he shakes his head. “That was- oh my gods. As perfect as I’d imag- no- even better.”

Le célèbre journaliste Nerval Pierre Viliat, aussi connu sous le nom de Vaval le sage, a tragiquement été déclaré mort à l'hôpital universitaire La Paix, Delmas 33, après avoir été touché par une balle perdue au niveau de l'abdomen le jeudi 21 mars. Agé de seulement 26 ans, il travaillait pour le média en ligne EchoNews Sport. Malgré les efforts de sa famille pour le sauver, il n'a pas survécu à l'intervention chirurgicale. Cette triste nouvelle a été confirmée dans une note publique par le média en ligne, où le jeune frère et les proches du journaliste ont également partagé l'information via une note vocale sur WhatsApp.
Le drame s'est déroulé lors d'une journée où des tirs nourris étaient entendus dans plusieurs quartiers de la zone métropolitaine, causant ainsi la panique parmi la population civile. Les quartiers du Champ-de-Mars et du bas-Delmas ont été particulièrement touchés par ces incidents. Les habitants ont signalé la présence de projectiles et ont alerté les membres de la presse locale. C'est dans ce contexte tendu que le journaliste Nerval Pierre Viliat a été touché par la balle perdue qui lui a coûté la vie quelques jours plus tard à l'hôpital.
La mort de Vaval le sage a suscité une vague d'émotion et de tristesse parmi ses collègues, sa famille et ses proches, ainsi que parmi les lecteurs et les spectateurs qui suivaient son travail au sein du média en ligne EchoNews Sport. Sa disparition prématurée laisse un vide dans le paysage médiatique local, alors qu'il était apprécié pour son professionnalisme et sa passion pour le journalisme. Ses proches et ses amis lui rendent hommage en soulignant son dévouement à son métier et sa volonté de faire entendre les voix des plus vulnérables à travers ses reportages.
L'enquête sur les circonstances entourant la mort de Nerval Pierre Viliat est en cours, afin de déterminer les responsabilités et les causes de ce tragique événement. Les autorités locales ont promis de faire toute la lumière sur cette affaire et de traduire en justice les coupables, dans le but de garantir la sécurité des journalistes et des citoyens. 大家好! Pomfret is 1 of my favourite fishes to eat and whenever I find a food stall that sells it, I'll always order it. This fatty fish is very popular with locals and especially sought after during Chinese New Year for its tender, silky smooth flesh. Families steam the freshest fishes or debone and slice them for steamboat/hotpot festive meals. Besides being yummy, pomfret is a rich source of protein and other important nutrients.

Including plant protein in meals at home (yes, I bought more tau kwa - firm tofu - and falafels) frees up dining out meals for fish and seafood. Tau kwa and falafels are tasty when added to stirfried veggies and eaten with rice or congee. They're great toppings for soup noodles along with braised mushrooms, braised peanuts, xiao bai cai (bak choy) or cabbage, and a sprinkle of chopped spring onions. I may buy fu pi (tofu skin) and fu zhu (dried tofu skin) during my next grocery shop; both are very tasty and can easily be included in homemade meals. Besides tau kwa and falafel, other plant-based buys this week: braised peanuts, unsalted sunflower seeds and roasted chickpeas.
The following videos are a stark reminder that, if we can afford adequate nourishment for all our meals, we're blessed. For some, choosing healthier foods is a luxury they cannot afford. Even in the richest countries in the world, less well-off citizens may not get to eat protein for an entire week; others are nutrition insecure. Hopefully, their food banks help to fulfil their basic nutritional needs. After all, these are very wealthy nations.

Our National Day fell on Wednesday this week, thus it was time to enjoy 1 of our national dishes - the always delicious chicken rice. Some stalls may be more famous but generally speaking, quality is good at most places. I don't have the patience for long queues especially on hot days, thus, as long as portions of protein and veggies are decent for the price and the rice is flavourful and fluffy, I'm happy. This is 1 of my favourite ways to eat chicken; the meat is so velvety and tender! Many tourists usually fall in love with this national dish for good reason ❤️

Whilst those of us who lead moderately healthy lifestyles seldom consume fast food, I hope this post reminds us that we're blessed to be in a position to choose healthier alternatives. Even in wealthy countries, some citizens can't afford basic nourishment on a daily basis. I watched a video recently in which 1 such citizen said that, thanks to the food bank, they eat meat 4 times a month. This might sound inadequate, but on the flipside, without food bank assistance, they wouldn't be eating meat at all. 下次见!
