Thanks to Ingek73 for sending this 2019 contemporary lake house that is currently a vacation rental, but is now for sale in Coln Waters, Lechlade, Gloucestershire, UK. 5bds, 5ba, £5.250M / $6.540M

As you can see across the lake, it is a community of homes that look alike. Each one has a deck and an infinity pool on the water.

It has a large entrance hall with a bench and storage.

The main living area is an open concept living/dining/kitchen space. I like the cluster of 3 light fixtures. That's different.

Modern fireplace on the far wall has floor-to-ceiling storage for firewood. The room gets a lot of natural light from a wall of glass doors and windows.

Spacious dining area has a view of the dock and the lake.

Between the dining room and kitchen, they've placed a family room. The house is so large, there's plenty of room to spare.

The everyday dining space in front of the kitchen can fit a much larger table and it has a corner view of the lake and the deck.

The kitchen is also a very spread-out space.

There is also a separate family room for watching TV.

Plus, a nice office. Every room has sliding doors and a view.

The primary bedroom has enough room for a sitting area and a desk. The bed faces the lake and there's access to the outdoors.

Each of the 5 bedrooms has its own en-suite bath.

And, each bedroom also has a lakeview and access to the outside.

This room has a smaller bath, but it's still very roomy.

Also on the deck, next to the pool is a hot tub.

Just took a walking tour in Barcelona and saw the Hebrew-engraved bricks that were used to build the palace of the viceroy of Catalonia after Barcelona's Jewish Quarter was attacked, thousands of Jews were murdered, and the bricks that made up a Jewish cemetery were stolen to use in this palace. These bricks are now surrounded by modern-day graffiti that says "fuck Israel" (in English) and "boicot Israel."

I'm not writing this as a defense of Israel's current military actions. This is just a simple snapshot of why I can't ever feel the endless anti-Israel barrage coming from Europe is done in good faith, and why we should self-reflect on our own obsession with Israel and learn about how our ancestors' history intermingles with antisemitism. To imagine that we get to be free from these prejudices and act in a totally unbiased way when we talk about Israel is madness.

Look what I stumbled upon in Palm Springs!

If you're wondering why there's two, the first one is from Palm Springs' equivalent of the Hollywood walk of fame. But apparently while he was alive he didn't want to pay what it costs to get a star so he had one put in front of his house. Guess that was cheaper? Don't know who payed or raised the money after he died but his house is now a very fancy wedding venue so seems like he could afford it, he just chose not to.

This is an Airbnb type property that's for sale. There are 3 buildings with different themes and it's located in Hurricane, Utah. The quarters have a total of 8 bds, 8ba, and the whole thing is for sale for $1.890M.

Building #3's theme is like Roswell's Hangar 51 and has a cool space ship in the living room. It's the largest accommodation with 5 suites and 5 baths.

From here we can see the setup of the room.

There's a video game and a large square table in the dining area. I imagine that you're buying the whole business with the furnishings.

This particular building can accommodate a large group. The sectional sofa is huge. Note the blue chute on the left, and is that a cow up by the roof on the upper left?

Next to the chute are 2 aliens in containers.

There's a gamer's setup in the spaceship.

This bedroom accommodates at least 4 people in bunk beds. It also has an en-suite shower room.
