1967 Ferrari 330 GTC Speciale, once owned by Princess Lilian of Belgium - Enzo Ferrari Museum in Modena, Italy. Ferrari 330 GTC slotted in between the 275 GTB Berlinetta, whose chassis it shared, and the more tranquil 330 2+2 Coupé, from which it inherited its 4-litre V12 engine. Presented at the 1966 Geneva Motor Show, it was an instant success: Pininfarina’s extremely elegant bodywork took after the 500 Superfast at the front and the 275 GTS at the rear. The 330 GTC exudes a sophisticated, minimalist elegance and, as a result, was one of Sergio Pininfarina’s personal favourites. The 330 GTC remained in production until the end of 1968: 600 were built. The version exhibited here was a part of exhibition «Driving with the Stars» and it was once owned by Princess Lilian of Belgium. It is a unique example with a completely separate stylistic language which offers a twist on several themes broached by the Dino on front-engined running gear: the ovoid radiator grille on the nose, unapologetic dihedral along the flank and, most of all, the concave curved rear screen. Ci venne da ridere... il motivo, principalmente era lui! Poi cambiò i settaggi dell'auto più volte. Pensavamo che il giro in gara di Gerhard all'Estoril fosse irraggiungibile almeno in un test: d'altronde lo aveva siglato in gara! Michael, ovviamente, non aveva mai guidato quell'auto. Non aveva mai girato per staccare un tempo con il V12. Era una mattinata fredda, per scaldare le gomme ce ne voleva. Dopo mezz'ora Schumacher aveva migliorato il tempo di Berger di 1 secondo e due. Ci guardavamo in faccia e ci veniva da ridere. Quando tornò ai box disse "c'è molto da lavorare. Disc brakes were a first on a Ferrari GT, and the combination of low weight, high power, and well-sorted suspension made it competitive. ⠀ .⠀ One of the most notable GT racers of its time, the 1959 250 GT Berlinetta SWB used a short (2,400 mm (94.5 in)) wheelbase for better handling.
