so I had some sort of waking dream that you answered an ask where they’d suggested a hob/(retired?) dream/cori triad where hob and cori are basically taking turns to knock dream up as much as possible and was devastated I’d imagined it! imma correct that:

the first time dream gets pregnant a surprise. the usual where hob never thought it would be possible and dream hadn’t considered the power of hob’s fantasies could manifest so powerfully. or that he’d be so soft for the realization that he’d be glad to carry hob’s children and even feels safer knowing hob wants him so bad and trusts him like this. this of course leads to some insane sex and a not so subtle jealous corinthian who decides he’s going to shoot his shot as soon as possible. hob has catholic peasant brain and is so turned on, he hasn’t left dream alone for a minute and starts imagining that he’ll give dream even MORE this time, that he’s done so well and now this time he’ll be so obviously His that it’ll make the corinthian crazy. it works and this time it’s twins barely a year after the last baby. hob and cori and dream end up have the most satisfying competitive sex and both have the goal of being the one to knock to dream up next, dream is pregnant and nursing so consistently it’s unusual to NOT either be pregnant or with a newborn in his arms (he’s so attached and so secretly embarrassed to be so tied down but loving it SO much). it’s slightly humiliating how old acquaintances treat him like some broken in barefoot housewife but. dream sort of is. (and that won’t be changing anytime soon if hob and cori have their way)

Anyway YES I love this. Dream getting pregnant through the power catholic peasant horniness is VERY hot. And of course the added bonus of the Corinthian being soooo jealous is amazing.

Cori is literally rabid. Dream carrying another man's baby turns him on and infuriates him in equal measure. He's so determined to be the one who gets him pregnant next time!! Unfortunately he's going up against Hob’s mile wide breeding kink so he has to suffer another nine months of Dream being contentedly pregnant with Hob’s babies. It's actually nothing special, just a misspelled part of my last name! That's because I had twitter in 2014/15 and it had become a trend in Italy to change the letter i in your url with the letter j (for example, my friend's name is Martina and she had changed her url to "martjna", cringe); or add the v randomly, and imagine if a 16-year-old girl doesn't follow trends, lol

But then I thought it was cute and left it. Now I use it for everything, yay for originality!

Unfortunately, work, the end of high school, covid, and the various vicissitudes of life meant that I arrived at 26 without too many friends. Or rather, I have many acquaintances, but none of them would ever call out of the blue just to talk, so I can't even imagine the possibility. And certainly if that happened, I would have a hard time talking about what's going on with me at the moment, or about me in general! I think I would talk about superficial things, so as not to cause awkwardness between us, and then because regardless, I don't like to talk about my problems... unless a certain kind of talk is going on, of course!

(family doesn't call because half of them are dead, some I see them every day, and some it's better if I don't see them at all)

These are 3 indie games I’m devastated I don’t see more stuff about them…

Cosmic star heroine is a relatively short chrono trigger spiritual successor that I had an absolute blast with. Combat was fun, there are almost a dozen playable characters by the game’s end and they use new mechanics that weren’t present in chrono trigger like style + hyper attacks, also instead of mp you have limited use of skills and need to defend to regain points, it makes more sense in practice. The game is so charming and there’s hilarious moments that poke fun at scifi tropes and memes and programming jokes. And the world is super cool, I don’t remember too much of the overarching plot but I liked the characters a lot. As far as chrono trigger-esque games go, it’s not as good as sea of stars, but it’s definitely better than I am setsuna or lost sphear. I wish more ppl played it!

Slime-san is a puzzle platformer that starts out simple but gets pretty fucking bonkers. You’re a cute little slime who can dash and jump and cling to walls, and as you complete stages new obstacles are added and it really ramps up the difficulty. Theres a lot of content and free dlc and you can change the color scheme and whatnot, it’s a really cute faux-retro aesthetic. Theres even boss fights which can be so brutal! It’s definitely challenging and I never completed the new game + thing but I should go back to it sometime because it’s a lot of fun. But it’s also hard.

And okay, this one was pretty highly rated when it came out but I never see ppl talking about it even though I know it’s relatively popular at least at the time of release, but I cannot recommend axiom verge enough. It’s the best metroidvania I’ve played that wasn’t a Metroid or Castlevania game (sorry hollow knight). Youre a physicist with amnesia on an alien world trying to get home and you kind of get thrown into this plot by these beings called the Rusalki… I won’t say much more than that but the lore is fucking delicious and is explored more in its not-quite-as-good-but-still-recommended sequel. Everything about the game is awesome, and it was all primarily done by one guy, Thomas Happ, and he uses the profits to help make more games and care for his son’s medical bills. But for the game itself, it’s sooo atmospheric, it leans hard on the Metroid influences, the bosses are sick, the challenge feels just right. There’s a ton of weapons you can find so you have a really robust selection to fit whatever play style you prefer, and to also help solve puzzles. Theres also abilities that help you move to new areas, but instead of your standard double jump type deal it’s things like sending out a drone to get into small spaces or being able to glitch through walls. It’s fucking great. I still think about the plot regularly and what’s next for this universe ooo…. The plot twist is so good ALSO my url is the name of one of the characters, he states that athetos is from a Greek word meaning “one who is rejected, or whose thoughts shouldn’t be entertained”. I can’t verify any of that though as I know zero Greek.

Also these aren’t underrated I’d say but I also really recommend tunic (Zelda inspired action adventure), sea of stars (as mentioned earlier), the messenger (ninja gaiden-esque action platformer that becomes a metroidvania), into the breach (roguelite(like? Only a single character Carries over between runs)), baba is you (the smartest a puzzle game ever), and shovel knight (he’s a knight with a shovel yay)

Hello Nero!!

how are you?? i disappeared for a week or so because i’ve been on holiday!! finally, i’d say. i went to sicily with a friend and it was so fucking amazing!! i’d never been there before, and it was way too hot so we didn’t get to visit too many places, but still it was amazing.

we went to the beach a lot, and the water there is so clear and clean, and it wasn’t even too crowded so i was really loving that. then we went to palermo and trapani, and to an archeological site nearby that had an ancient greek theater and a temple and they were so so beautiful!! (i have a very large obsession with percy jackson and greek mythology)

trapani and palermo were also really beautiful. though it was so hot i barely got to enjoy palermo because i felt like fainting half the time and i had to stop to rest in the shadows every other minute :,(

i was also not feeling at my best. i was at a harry styles concert the day before i left and i got out really sweaty and hot because of the venue and the jumping and screaming and then i took the bus home and it was super cold because of the air conditioning, so obviously i got a cold that lasted the whole vacation. but still it was worth it, the concert was so perfect!! i’ve been waiting to be at that concert for 10 years!!!

also, the cold wasn’t too bad and i still got to enjoy the vacation in the end!! and eat lots of really good stuff there in sicily :)

how are you doing nero?? how’s uni going so far?? and how are the flowers you bought for your room?? but most importantly, did you find a table at that cute cafe to claim as your own???

firstly, i missed you a lot. i missed seeing your little url in my notifications and your little comments (and stuff to reblog). and secondly, this is just what i needed after a long shift at work. just to give you a mental image, i am nuzzled into the corner of my couch with some chocolate and a cup of tea (a shower can wait)

i’m glad you went on holiday and that you enjoyed yourself! i’ve always wanted to go to sicily, it looks so pretty. unfortunate about the weather, but i’m happy you had a good time nevertheless

i hope going to the beach was refreshing in that hot weather! it would have been so nice without the crowds and with being as clean as you describe it to be. and i love love LOVE ancient architecture, i’m sure sicily has beautiful buildings that hold so much history and culture (and i can totally understand the percy jackson and greek mythology obsession being fuelled by it, i would fully nerd out)

but i’m sad you couldn’t completely enjoy palermo :( heat strokes are the absolute worst! i remember going to bali for a family holiday and i did not enjoy it at all, because i kept getting awful heat strokes. it was just really really hot. where i live is quite humid (which is sometimes worse), but when you’re on holiday (especially with family), you’re outside all the time and i kept having to go back to our hotel room just to get to normal body temperature :(((

i hope you’re feeling better now!! the change in temperatures would have definitely caused your cold, as well as how packed the harry styles venues always are, but that would have been so worth it!! i’ve heard he is a really good live performer!! and you deserved to see him after waiting that long

i am so so happy you got the chance to have a break and just have a good time with your friend! what kinds of food did you get to eat? i’m sure it would have been good!

alright, my turn to update you! :) i am pretty good!! my classes are SO GOOD, i am so so so happy i switched degrees, i was so incredibly unhappy in my og one. i managed to make a friend (yay!). he’s super extroverted though, so my social battery struggles to keep up with his need to talk all the time, but he’s really nice! i also managed to be brave enough to sign my pronouns on an introduction sheet in a class of mine (i still put my legal name, but progress!)

i’ve also been getting into a writing groove too! i am almost finished a heartstopper fanfic and i completed the first chapter of a book i am writing (and i’m honestly really proud of it, despite it being the first draft)

and yes, i managed to find a table!! as i said (at least i think i did), the seating for the cafe is outside. i picked this cute little table underneath a tree, so when it comes summertime, i will hopefully have some shade to cool me down. only downside is the leaves are small enough to shed onto my laptop :( but! it’s such a nice place to study and take my notes before my tutorials and to read over my novels for the week

Least Favourite Song: I never listen to Dark Side Of The Moon (the triangle rainbow album for the uninitiated lol) all the way through because Time kind of upsets me :/ really don't like it and wish it wasn't sonically enmeshed with the rest of the album

Favourite Album: This is a toss-up between The Wall and Wish You Were here. basic again i know. but christ alive those instrumentals on WYWH....unbelievable. I'd say that's the best full-album listen through choice for me, while The Wall has so many amazing songs I love very much on it & go crazy over all the repeating & interlocking musical themes

Least Favourite Album: maybe A Momentary Lapse In Reason? not bc i hate it but just because i'm never like "yeah im gonna listen to THAT one" you know
