Frosty M4
Happy New Year!
Was inspired by this lush picture by @untidysouls
Hope you enjoy!
The grey mist of pre-dawn gives way to blinding light as the winter sun peeks sleepily over the trees that line the M4. The early morning rays bounce off the dew covered tarmac, glaring into drivers’ eyes and making them slow more effectively than any traffic cameras or road sign. Here and there a lamp post, sheltered under the shade of trees, creates a little pocket of orange. It looks strange next to the white light of morning.
The trees peter out, revealing fields and farmland that stretch off into distant hills. Tiny crystals of ice cling to each blade of glass and the last tendrils of mist hover low over the ground. Rays of light reflect off minuscule particles of ice that still hang in the air, creating a mother of pearl sheen. Gazing at the fields from the speed of a car, it almost looks like snow. Frost creeps along the side of the road like an animal desperate to cross but terrified of the crushing wheels that carry cars ever onward.

I will remember this day forever. I will remember your hands and your walk and the clouds behind you and your warm body enveloped in mine.

We don’t get chance to shoot with film, but untidysouls has inspired us to try! Maybe that can be this summer’s project. This image is beautiful. Amazing!
