The Apologist: Playing an instrument. He'd acquired so many different musical instruments over the years (one he'd particularly like to play is the violin) but he just has no musical talent at all. Utterly hopeless.

Avery: She probably keeps this pretty close to her chest, but cooking? She sees a lot of different parts of the city in a way many others don't, and she's developed quite a lot of culinary ideas due to that. She doesn't pursue it because she's worried it'll damage her image – and thus, her business.

Shale: All the other spies do all these chess metaphors, but Shale's never learnt how to play. Mostly because chess sets on Polythreme could be very judgemental of your moves, and Shale always got self-conscious.

midnight: What keeps your OC up at night? Do they have nightmares? Fears? Anxieties? What do they do in the small hours of the morning when they should be sleeping?

Metis is an insomniac. their brain just won’t shut down for the night, so nighttime is when they do a lot of their most inspired writing. their sensory issues also make it very hard to get comfortable, and they need darkness and silence to relax.

hide: What does your OC hide? Why do they hide it?

Mr Morbid has no loyalty to Mr Suns or Mr Masks. oddly enough, it feels a strong obligation to the tower of thorns. it sees the tower as its savior, rather than a jailer, like Suns or Masks. Morbid wants to escape the Thane-in-Glass along with the tower, and travel the high wilderness, cataloging people’s memories.

Morbid hides this to avoid angering its fellow curators, which would ruin its plan.

skin: How comfortable is your OC in their skin? Do they grapple with anything that lives inside them—a beast, a curse, a failure, a monster? How do they face the smallest, weakest, most horrible version of themself? Are they able to acknowledge it at all?

from a literal standpoint, Aria has never quite felt at home in her body, but her slow transformation into a tomb colonist has made this much more apparent.

metaphorically? Aria blames herself for Elisa’s murder, and feels like she made Elisa’s life worse even when she was alive. if you asked her, she would say she killed the weak, scared version of herself when she killed Scathewick. she hasn’t.

ahh tyqin! she's my progen and a (the) central figure in my lore, which spans several time periods and multiple flights; she's from ancient times but continues to live on into the 'present' day, largely as a result of fucking with dark magic (most likely the shade, or maybe too much arcane magic, no one knows for sure; it made her all eldritchy and also Purble™) when she was a young cult member. she's power-hungry, manipulative, and has doomed several other dragons to a fate worse than death out of her own greed...generally Very Bad News.

🎶 Do you listen to music while you write? What song have you been playing on loop lately?

🛠What tools/programs/apps do you use to write?

🎶Yes, I do! I've been listening to a bunch of songs on loop over the last few days, mainly Children of the City. I've been revisiting some older songs too, like Charles (Jubyphonic's cover) and Oppression Confusion Girl, and some covers from Will Stetson and some of Mili's other songs. I tend to put songs I listen to often in my playlist, which you can check out here!

🛠 I mainly use Zenwriter (the old web version) that's surprisingly still up. Certain it was supposed to be taken down by now, but it's still up and I like its simple interface. I used to use Word, but there's the fact that I never want to pay for it and that I have a bad habit of never shutting down my laptop, which ended in Word lagging really badly after every hibernation. I now only use it to apply fonts (so I can use a program I wrote to convert the fonts into AO3's html span form). I'd use Google Docs, but it just doesn't do it for me. I do use it to back up my work just in case though.

Uhhhh fuck it we go Kittie mode. She'd just constantly be on the move so the snail can't get her. Don't have to worry if you're constantly running around! (Either that or lock it up in a metal box and throw it into the deepest part of the zee. But that's a coward move and only a last resort)

Novelty most definitely. She'd probably want stability at first, but she's actively aiming higher with each passing day.

24. honesty or charity

Hmmm. Difficult. I'd say maybe honesty? Honestly (heh) I don't really see her wanting much of either.

Possibility all the way. This woman doesn't care about such a thing as "safety". She's living life on the wild side and throwing herself into situations.

Talent. She's honestly not a fan of working hard, but sometimes she'll get her hands dirty (usually when she's like. Tearing apart a monster she killed.)

30. what would they do if they knew it would be forgiven?

She's not too much of a person that cares about forgiveness? This would be more of a question I'd have an answer for Merry instead, but. Well. I decided to do Kittie instead. Uhhhh probably slighting someone else to get herself in a higher position?

🌳 Compare your OC to themself from 10 years ago. How has their mental state changed since then, how have they aged and grown up? Would they say they’re in a better place than they were back then or do they need help? What advice would they give their younger self? What advice would their younger self give to them now?

oh wow hi idk how i ended up in one of those!!

Kennedy.. hmm.. well he came into existence in 1682 and crash landed on earth in 1702 so hes like what . 300+? so 10 years isnt much time to him. That said he's made great strides in his mental health, and not taking on every problem at once. I think he'd say he's made more friends, and lost very very old friends too who have died. I think he would tell 10 years ago him to not get bogged down by weird human hypercapitalism and bureaucracy, and his past self would tell his current self to pay more attention to the world around him outside of his (admittedly large) group of friends (this is bad advice. he gets overwhelmed so easily)
