It really is true that you can achieve so much by being autistic in academia. Not in the "hidden antisocial genius" way but in the "I brought up the Inquisition in all of my exams and got 31/30 in all of them" way

Sorry I don’t find it cute I don’t find it funny I don’t find it endearing when tenured professors or assistant professors of my masters degree have problems speaking english and resort to speaking italian/doing part of the lesson in italian. First of all it’s incredibly disrespectful to the few international students from my course that don’t speak a lick of italian, and second if you suck at explaining things in english why did you make a goddamn entire uni course in english. Get fucked

You'd think that the night before an oral exam for which I've studied absolutely nothing, i should be at least reading the summary of the book and not spend two hours reading fanfictions where Vox gets abused. Such many cases

so so so hard not to take the medieval archeology course but the teacher has such a cool way of going about things And it seems really chill. And there's homework. In a uni course. Graded homework. Throughout the course and not as a final project alone. I'm charmed.

this is incredibly far fetched but: Hildegard von Bingen describes a godly power the "vis aeternitatis" aka the power of Eternity coming into pregnant women and making it possible for them to give birth. This eternity makes the birthing process easier for women and gives them the strength needed. But whats interesting is the power balance it implies; mens sexual power of fertilizing woman comes from within and from their own power as creatures made in Gods equal, meanwhile the women have no power of their own, they get it from an outside source, the man fertilizing them and God granting them Eternity. Anyways all I can think of is the student council in Revolutionary Girl Utena striving for Eternity as a way to revolutionize the world and escape the oppressive system they live in, meanwhile that Eternity is perpetuating that same system and keeping them stuck there.

Why do I always find myself in such situations?
Group of guys sits at my same study table, they leave for a little pause and ask me to keep an eye on their stuff. Sure, no problem. Thirty seconds later I'm informed that the tables were booked for group projects and I have to leave, but I cannot just abandon their stuff here after telling them it'd be safe with me

Our professor was talking about a girl who wrote a thesis about "shipping" and my mind went immediately to fandom shipping, which i thought was stupid, because surely she was talking about goods shipping or something. but no her thesis was truly about fandom shipping and the university liked it so much they published it as a book. You go girl.
